The Level of Academic Flow Among 11th Grade Students at State Islamic Senior High School 2 Hulu Sungai Utara

Academic Flow is a state in which an individual is fully focused and engaged in academic work or activities. It occurs when someone enjoys their work and maintains a high level of concentration, especially if the task aligns with their interests. The level of academic flow reflects the extent to which an individual experiences a flow state during the learning process or participation in academic activities. This flow experience encompasses full concentration, excitement, and a loss of awareness of time. The aim of this research is to assess the level of academic flow among students in the 11th grade of State Islamic Senior High School 2 Hulu Sungai Utara. The method employed is a quantitative survey with random sampling, involving 176 students. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey. The results indicate that the majority of students (60.8%) experience a moderate level of academic flow, 39.2% have a high level, while no students exhibit a low level (0%).

Analyze Marketing Strategies to Improve Competitiveness of MSMES iN Bandar Lampung City

This research aims to: (1) produce interactive multimedia learning based on Google Site that is suitable for use in teaching and learning. (2) Produce practical and easy-to-learn interactive multimedia learning based on Google Site. (3) Determine the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on Google Site. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model. The study was conducted on 10th-grade students of State Islamic Senior High School 1 in Langkat. The method used in this model is Quasi-Experimental. The research sample consisted of 72 students, with 36 students as the experimental group taught using interactive multimedia based on Google Site and 36 students as the control group taught using picture media. The results of the study prove that there is a significant difference between the English learning outcomes of students taught using interactive multimedia based on Google Site and those taught using picture media. This is indicated by the obtained data, where the significance value obtained is 0.003. The significance value (sig) < 0.05, thus is rejected and is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia based on Google Site is better than picture media.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Sains Teknologi Masyarakat dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Kimia pada Materi Koloid

This research was instigated with the low of student chemistry learning motivation. It aimed at finding out whether there was a difference of chemistry learning motivation between students taught by using Science Technology Society learning model and those who were not taught by using Science Technology Society learning model. It was quantitative research with quasi-experiment method. The samples of this research were the eleventh-grade students of MIA 2 and 4, and they were 72 students. Questionnaire and documentation were used to collect data. Independent sample t-test was the technique of analyzing data. Based on data analysis results, there was a difference of chemistry learning motivation between students taught by using Science Technology Society learning model and those who were taught by using conventional learning model on Colloid lesson at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru. It was proven with the score of tobserved higher than ttable at 5% significant level (4.587>1.994). Based on the result of effect size test by using Cohen’s formula, the score of d 2.59 was lower than 1, and it meant that Science Technology Society learning model affected student chemistry learning motivation significantly.

The Efficacy of Collaborative Strategic Reading in Enhancing Narrative Text Comprehension among Tenth-Grade Learners

Despite various efforts to enhance reading comprehension, a preliminary study revealed that tenth-grade students at Pekanbaru's State Islamic Senior High School faced challenges comprehending narrative texts. This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine whether Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) instruction could improve students' narrative text comprehension. A total of 202 students were randomly assigned to two groups: a control group receiving traditional instruction and an experimental group receiving CSR instruction. Pre- and post-tests were administered to both groups to assess their comprehension abilities. Data analysis using SPSS version 20 revealed a significant difference between the two groups, indicating that CSR instruction effectively enhanced narrative text comprehension. The effect size, however, was relatively weak (η² = 0.111). These findings suggest that incorporating CSR into English language instruction can positively impact students' comprehension of narrative texts, even though the effect size is relatively small. Future research is needed to further investigate the effectiveness of CSR in enhancing reading comprehension across different genres and grade levels.

KONTRUKSI KOMUNIKASI PROFETIK DALAM MEMBANGUN KEBUTUHAN PELANGGAN LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

Prophetic communication is a new term in the communication science family. Prophetic itself is everything that relies on the attitude, behavior, and words of the Prophet Muhammad. In prophetic communication there are elements of values and ethics. The focus of this research is on the construction of prophetic communication in building customer needs for Islamic education at the State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 1 Tulungagung. Data collection through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation. The results of the study mention that building customer needs through prophetic communication is manifested by SEHAT (Who am I, Empathy, Reliable, Enthusiastic, Responsive). This concept is accompanied by examples of prophetic communication practices that occur in the madrasah environment. This research is practically used in Islamic education management science, especially in actualizing changes in conditions and situations. Furthermore, this research aims to be developed further

Management of Dynamic Archives for Education Personnel in State Madrasah Aliyah

This research aimed at knowing 1) creating dynamic archives in the administrative section, and 2) storing dynamic archives in the administrative section at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru. It was a qualitative research with a descriptive method. The subjects of this research were the head of administration, administrative staff as key informants, and the vice of student affairs and teachers as additional informants. The object of this research was the management of archives in the administration section at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru. Interview, observation, and documentation techniques were used for collecting the data. The data were analyzed by using reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research show that: 1) The creation of dynamic archives in the administration section of MAN 3 Pekanbaru was carried out well, including the process of incoming and outgoing letters. 2) The storage of dynamic archives in the administration section of MAN 3 Pekanbaru was carried out well, however, there were a few obstacles in the archive retrieval process, namely archives or letters that have been disposed of and are located outside the administration room, such as the principal's room, the deputy principal's room for student affairs and curriculum, forgetting to take them back, so there are archives that are not stored in the filing cabinet.

Analysis of Extrovert and Introvert Personality of the Students on Speaking Performance at the Tenth Grade of State Islamic Senior High School 1 Padang Lawas


 
 
 
 
 Abstract: This research aims to analyze students' speaking performances based on the extrovert and introverted personalities of students in the tenth grade of State Islamic Senior High School 1 Padang Lawas. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative method with a case study approach. The data were collected by Eysenck Personality Questionnaires (EPQ), speaking tests, and interviews. After the data was collected, it was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model technique, which consists of three stages of data analysis: data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion. The population in this study were students of class X-science, consisting of 198 students from a total of five classes. The sample used in this study amounted to 20 students using the proportional technique in the take of the sample. The findings showed that each of the 20 research samples—ten extroverts and ten introverts—had different speaking performance scores. The results of the speaking test from ten extrovert students obtained five students with good criteria and five with poor criteria. Meanwhile, the results of the speaking test for ten introverted students found that five students with poor criteria, four students obtained good criteria and one student received a speaking test result with very good criteria. From each of the extrovert and introvert students who were interviewed, they stated that they experienced several obstacles: a lack of preparation before performing, a lack of knowledge about language aspects, mispronunciation, and a lack of vocabulary. It can be concluded that students with various personality types can use various learning methods that suit the needs of each student. Therefore, whether an extrovert or an introvert, speaking performance will be better if students have sufficient linguistic knowledge and are also supported by frequent participation or good preparation.
 
 
 

The implementation of character education during the COVID-19 pandemic in state islamic senior high schools in Indonesia

Character education is one of the focuses of national education programs, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aimed to investigate the implementation of character education during COVID-19 in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (State Islamic Senior High School) in Indonesia. The study used a qualitative method with 65 people as the subject, consisting of 5 madrasah (Islamic school) principals and 60 teachers of 5 madrasahs in four districts of North Sumatra and Aceh Province, Indonesia. The subjects of the study were chosen purposively. The data collection techniques were interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicated that the strategy of implementing character education during the pandemic at madrasahs in North Sumatra Province and Aceh Province involved integrating the online learning and modelling approach and internalizing the values of the nation's character in the learning and self-development activities in madrasahs. This study also found some obstacles to the implementation of character education during the pandemic, including teachers' lack of ability to use the online learning system and poor internet connections. The solution is to develop teacher skills for online learning systems and improve internet connections and technological facilities in schools.

The efforts of the Madrasah Principal to Improve the Quality of Islamic Education Post of the Natural Disaster in Palu City

This research discusses the efforts of the madrasah principal to improve the quality of Islamic education after the 2018 disaster. This research aims to examine the actions of the madrasah principal in improving the quality of Islamic education and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by the madrasah principal in improving the quality of Islamic education after the 2018 natural disaster. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The study was conducted at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Palu. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and written documents. The results of this research show that the efforts made by the madrasah principal in improving the quality of Islamic education after the natural disaster include improving the quality of education and teaching, collaborating in the field of human resources, implementing education following the madrasah's vision and mission, maximizing the use of existing facilities and infrastructure, and proposing the construction of a building to the government and donors. Several factors that support the madrasah principal's efforts include the collaboration between the madrasah principal, teachers, educational staff, parents, and the community in achieving the goals of the madrasah principal.

Determination of Candidates for Madrasah Aliyah Student Scholarships Using The Simple Additive Weighting Method

Scholarships are a facility expected by some students who need financial assistance in their education. Case study research at MAN 3 Tangerang as a state Islamic senior high school, MAN 3 Tangerang has facilities to propose students who have achievements and need educational funding assistance to the Indonesian Ministry of Religion (Kemenag). Schools often find it difficult to determine which prospective students are most eligible for scholarships. This research is to help the school design and develop a decision support system (DSS) application with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. DSS application built using UML design and PHP (Hypertext Processor File) programming with MySQL database. The resulting DSS application has been able to provide a sequence of data for prospective scholarship recipients according to the criteria and weightings that have been set. Based on the data generated by the system, the principal can make a decision on who is entitled to a scholarship from the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag).

Digital Transformation, Benefits and Impacts for Teenagers Study of Student Perceptions of Cybercrime in Yogyakarta State Islamic Senior High School Students

Digital transformation in the field of education provides tremendous benefits for both teachers and students, enabling easy access to a wide range of knowledge and supporting the teaching and learning process, including distance learning. However, digital transformation has had an impact on students, as they often become victims of cybercrime in the form of cyberbullying, which affects the mental well-being of the individuals involved. The purpose of this research is to understand the perception of students at MAN (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri) in Yogyakarta regarding the digitally-based teaching and learning process that utilizes smartphones for activities outside of the classroom. The research method employed in this study is qualitative descriptive research, which involves gathering information about existing phenomena, clearly defining the objectives to be achieved, planning the approach, and collecting data as the basis for creating a report. The research findings indicate that students' perception of social media crime/cybercrime reflects their experiences as observers, perpetrators, and victims. Factors such as individual characteristics, environment, and friendships influence students in engaging in these criminal activities. Students tend to be loyal to their friends, and victims often choose to remain silent. Effective prevention measures have been implemented in schools through collaboration with law enforcement authorities.

Program Bidang Bimbingan dan Konseling untuk Pengembangan Kepribadian Siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Pekanbaru

This research aimed at knowing Guidance and Counseling program for personality development of Muslim students, students' personalities developed in Guidance and Counseling program, and Qualitative approach was used in this research, and the participants of this research were 2 Guidance and Counseling teachers at State Islamic Senior High School 2 Pekanbaru and 2 students who were chosen by the Guidance and Counseling teachers because they had received Guidance and Counseling services directly during their study period. The data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data obtained from the results of interview and observation were reduced, displayed and concluded. The research findings showed that:Guidance and Counseling program for personality development of Muslim students at school was found in all fields-personal guidance, social, learning, career, religious life, and family life, but the fields of career and learning guidance were more focused with the help of psychological test assessments for students at the beginning of the new Academic Year when they first entered State Islamic Senior High School 2 Pekanbaru; students become personals who were adaptable, responsible, respectful, appreciative, competitive, and ambitious.

The Ways to Optimize Mobile Phone Usage in English Instructional Activities

In the midst of controversial perceptions among students and teachers regarding the use of mobile phone in the classrooms, it is urgent to look for solution in order that these sophisticated devices are able to bring more benefits in language learning. This research aims at exploring students’ and teachers’ perceptions on how to optimize the mobile phones in English instructional activities so that the teaching and learning can be attractive and interactive, hence students’ participation in the classroom may increase as well as their learning outcome. This research applied qualitative research. The informants participated in this research were two English teachers and four students from two state Islamic senior high schools in Parepare, Indonesia. To collect the data, the researchers employed Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Students and teachers sat together in a forum to discuss and to argue their opinion or experiences in order that the use of mobile phones in the classroom during English learning activities can be optimal. To analyze the data, the researchers analyzed them by using thematic technique from Creswell. The results of this research show that there were five ways offered by both students and English teachers. Those ways are recommended to apply by both parties without too much worry because of potential distractions that may come up.

Religious Culture Implementation in State Islamic Senior High School in Indonesia

Implementation and cultivating religious and cultural values in educational institutions have been carried out with several strategies. However, more is needed to know the implementation of religious education institutions. This study, therefore, was conducted to understand the implementation and maintaining a religious culture within government Islamic high schools. The aim of this study is to examine and discuss the Islamic senior high schools implement and maintain a religious culture within the school environment. The study was conducted with multiple case study methods within two State Islamic Senior High Schools in Indonesia. Data was gathered through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and written material analysis. In addition, in-depth interviews were carried out with the schools' principals, teachers, and students. The results of this study show that the schools have implemented and maintained the religious culture within the school environment through practicing routine religious activities supported by the schools' policymakers, parents, and students. Some religious activities which were regularly practiced included regular mass praying, celebrating religious events, religious knowledge competitions, and Islamic fashion and art shows. The religious activities created a religious culture environment that stimulated teachers and students to practice and appreciate religious values in their daily activities.

The Influence of Organizational Commitment on the Teacher Job Performance of State Madrasah Aliyah in Tangerang City

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational commitment on the performance of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Tangerang City. The research method uses a quantitative survey-type approach and is associative or explanatory. The population in this study were teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 and 2 Tangerang City, totaling 121 people, using the Slovin formula, a sample of 93 people was obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and data analysis used multiple linear regression statistical analysis. The study results show that organizational commitment significantly affects teacher performance at the State Islamic Senior High School in Tangerang City. This study implies that organizational commitment contributes positively to teacher performance. Suggestions pay attention to teacher salaries so that they are more adapted to the educational background and length of time the teacher has worked. Work facilities and equipment are expected to be more adapted to the needs of teachers to support teaching activities. Further, increases safety and comfort in learning activities. Class conditions that are not yet conducive so that in the future it can create a conducive learning atmosphere so that learning activities run more effectively.

Pengaruh Aplikasi Canva pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati terhadap Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa

Canva is an interactive multimedia that provides educational functions that can be used as a tool to help skills, creativity and collaboration, thus making learning easier and more enjoyable. Canva's learning media can be used to assist the learning process, teachers can save time in designing learning media, and improve cognitive learning outcomes. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the Canva application on biodiversity material on the cognitive learning outcomes of class X students of Batubara State Islamic Senior High School, Lima Puluh District, Batu Bara Regency. This type of research is a quasi experiment, with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used random sampling technique. The sample used was class X IPA-2 with 33 students as the experimental class, and class X-IPA 1 with 35 students as the control class. The research instrument was students' cognitive learning outcomes using a pre-test and post-test of 25 multiple choice questions regarding biodiversity material. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the cognitive learning outcomes of class X students at Batubara State Islamic Senior High School, Lima Puluh District, Batu Bara Regency in the subject of biodiversity taught using the Canva application experienced an increase in the average score from 45.70 to 84.85. Students' cognitive learning outcomes on biodiversity material taught without using the Canva application experienced an increase in the average score from 40.11 to 81.03. There is an effect of the Canva application on students' cognitive learning outcomes on biodiversity material in class X MA Negeri Batubara, Lima Puluh District, Batu Bara Regency which is proven through hypothesis testing with the acquisition of a significance value of 0.036 <0.05.

The Influence of implementing Contextual Teaching and Learning Method on The Arabic Speaking Ability of 11th Grade Students at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Tembilahan

This research aims to investigate the impact of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method on Arabic speaking skills of 11th-grade students at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Tembilahan. The question is whether the CTL learning model has an effect on the Arabic speaking ability of the students at the school. The population of the study consists of all 11th-grade students at the school, with samples drawn from Natural Science 2 class as an experimental group and Natural Science 3 class as a control group. Observation and testing were used as data collection tools. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the CTL learning model on speaking skills as demonstrated by the the Wilcoxon test. The score of Asymp. sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000, lower than 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis, indicating a significant effect of the CTL learning model on the students speaking skills.

The Effect of Leadership and Emotional Intelligence on Teacher’s Performance

The performance of teachers from several State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) in Kota Padang Panjang was classified as not optimal yet, that led to lack of performance in finishing the teachers’ task and function in this New Normal era. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the principal’s leadership and emotional intelligence on the performance of MAN teachers in Kota Padang Panjang during the New Normal era. This research used quantitative method to determine the problems occurred in the field. The population of this study were 173 teachers, with the research samples chosen was 116 people. The sample was chosen by using Cochran technique, namely stratified proportional random sampling. The data were collected by using questionnaires. Then, they were analyzed by SPSS version 17. The results of this study showed that: (1) The positive and significant effect of the principal's leadership on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers: The effect of the principal’s leadership on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers was 0.357 with a coefficient of determination of 0.1274 or (12.74%); (2) The positive and significant effect of emotional intelligence on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers: Performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers during the New Normal era was determined by intelligence emotional, that was equal to 0.302 with a coefficient of determination of 0.0912 or 09.12%; (3) The positive and significant effect of both principal’s leadership and emotional intelligence on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers in the New Normal era, and the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers in the New Normal era were determined by the principal’s leadership and emotional intelligence altogether by 0.652 with a coefficient of determination of 0.42.51 or 42.51%. IMPLEMENTASI TEORI VERBAL LINGUISTIC INTELLIGENCE DAN INTERPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MAHÂRAT AL-KALÂM DAN MAHÂRAT AL-QIRÂ’AH

This research aims to analyse the implementation of method, media, and evaluation of speaking skill and reading skill learning in Arabic learning based on the theory verbal linguistic intelligence and interpersonal intelligence. The method of this research was mixed method with triangulation concuren strategy by collecting quantitative data and qualitative data. The finding indicate that the learning of speaking skill and reading skill in learning Arabic at state Islamic Senior High School 2 and 4 Tanah Datar West Sumatera become very effective with applying the linguistic of theory verbal intelligence and interpersonal intellligence in good impact. Developed with that theory make test result Arabic subject the students are in the high category. The benefits of developing this theory in learning can also be concluded from the result of the questionnaire that have shared to students of states Islamic Senior High School 2 and 4 Tanah Datar West Sumatera. It was shown that maharat al-kalam and maharat al-qira’ah in the high category.

Teaching Strategies for Reading Comprehension: EFL Teachers’ Best Practices

This case study aims to discover teachers' practices for teaching second-grade reading comprehension at one of Kendari's Islamic state senior high schools. Using depth-interviews with two EFL teachers, the researchers scrutinized teachers' various strategies as best practices in teaching reading. Two teachers from one of Kendari's state Islamic senior high schools took part in this study. The findings of this study were based on the reading tactics utilized in class. The teacher employed pre-reading strategy training, asking students to check their memory of the text and having a brief conversation about the text's title. Also, the teacher employed calculative vocabulary, allowing the students to acquire skills for predicting word meanings based on context and prior knowledge. As for reading comprehension, the teacher engaged the class to read aloud and discuss how they understand what is written, observing students who asked questions about complex vocabulary during reading instruction and directing students to learn difficult vocabulary. Meanwhile, students' challenge in reading class requires more vocabulary and enthusiasm.Keywords: reading class; reading comprehension; teaching reading strategy.
