Dynamics of a diffusive predator–prey model with herd behavior

This paper is devoted to considering a diffusive predator–prey model with Leslie–Gower term and herd behavior subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. Concretely, by choosing the proper bifurcation parameter, the local stability of constant equilibria of this model without diffusion and the existence of Hopf bifurcation are investigated by analyzing the distribution of the eigenvalues. Furthermore, the explicit formula for determining the direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are also derived by applying the normal form theory. Next, we show the stability of positive constant equilibrium, the existence and stability of periodic solutions near positive constant equilibrium for the diffusive model. Finally, some numerical simulations are carried out to support the analytical results.

Dynamics of a diffusive Leslie\u2013Gower predator\u2013prey system with ratio-dependent Holling III functional response

This paper is devoted to investigating the dynamics of a diffusive Leslie–Gower predator–prey system with ratio-dependent Holling III functional response. We first establish the stability of positive constant equilibrium, and show the condition under which system undergoes a Hopf bifurcation with the explicit computational formulas for determining the bifurcating properties. Especially, when the positive constant equilibrium loses its stability, a supercritical Hopf bifurcation with spatial homogeneous and stable bifurcating periodic solution occurs. Finally, we discuss the existence and nonexistence of nonconstant positive solutions with the help of Leray–Schauder degree theory and the implicit function theorem.

Global stability and Hopf bifurcation of a diffusive predator–prey model with hyperbolic mortality and prey harvesting

This paper is concerned with a predator&ndashprey model with hyperbolic mortality and prey harvesting. The parameter regions for the stability and instability of the unique positive constant solution of ODE and PDE are derived, respectively, especially the global asymptotical stability of positive constant equilibrium of the diffusive model is obtained by iterative technique. The stability and direction of periodic solutions of ODE and PDE are investigated by center manifold theorem and normal form theory, respectively. Numerical simulations are carried out to depict our theoretical analysis.

A note on the existence and construction of Dulac functions

Stationary patterns for a Leslie–Gower type three species model with diffusion

In this paper, a diffusive three species predator–prey model with two Leslie–Gower terms is considered. The stability of the unique positive constant equilibrium for the reaction–diffusion system is obtained. Sufficient conditions are derived for the global stability of the positive constant equilibrium. In particular, we establish the existence and non-existence of non-constant positive steady states of this system. The results indicate that the large diffusivity is helpful for the appearance of the non-constant positive steady states (stationary patterns).

Bifurcation analysis of a diffusive predator–prey system with a herd behavior and quadratic mortality

In this paper, a diffusive predator–prey system, in which the prey species exhibits herd behavior and the predator species with quadratic mortality, has been studied. The stability of positive constant equilibrium, Hopf bifurcations, and diffusion‐driven Turing instability are investigated under the Neumann boundary condition. The explicit condition for the occurrence of the diffusion‐driven Turing instability is derived, which is determined by the relationship of the diffusion rates of two species. The formulas determining the direction and the stability of Hopf bifurcations depending on the parameters of the system are derived. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to verify and extend the theoretical results and show the existence of spatially homogeneous periodic solutions and nonconstant steady states. Analysis of a diffusive Leslie–Gower predator–prey model with nonmonotonic functional response

In this paper, a diffusive Leslie–Gower predator–prey system with nonmonotonic functional respond is studied. We obtain the persistence of this model and show the local asymptotic stability of positive constant equilibrium by linearized analysis and the global stability by constructing Liapunov function. Besides, Turing instability of this equilibrium is obtained. The existence and nonexistence of positive nonconstant steady states of this model are established. Furthermore, by numerical simulations we illustrate the patterns of prey and predator.
