The article describes the procedure for measuring the specific emission rate of volatile hydrocarbon compounds from cured adhesives. The internal atmosphere of vacuum devices with adhesive joints is determined mainly by gas emission from adhesive seams. The use of getters allows the removal of active gases, but all types of getters poorly absorb hydrocarbon compounds, which create the internal atmosphere of a vacuum device. Therefore, it is necessary to use adhesives with low emission of volatile hydrocarbon compounds to assemble such devices. The chromatographic method has a high sensitivity specifically for hydrocarbons, it allows you to quickly and easily identify volatile hydrocarbon compounds released by adhesive and determine the kinetic parameters of this process. This makes the chromatographic method convenient for express analysis of gas evolution from adhesives intended for mounting the internal parts of vacuum devices.
