Summary Data on the designation of a number of type specimens of Dejean's collection deposited in the Museum national d’Histoire naturelle, in Paris, are given. Types correspond to species of carabid beetles belonging to tribes Zabrini, Platynini and Sphodrini, that are found in the West Palearctic region. The holotype of the following taxa was recognized: Amara tricuspidata Dejean, 1828, Zabrus marginicollis Dejean, 1828, Zabrus pinguis Dejean, 1831, Anchomenus cyaneus Dejean, 1828, Agonum thoreyi Dejean, 1828 and Anchomenus melanocephalus Dejean, 1828. The lectotype of the following taxa was designated: Amara rufipes Dejean, 1828, Zabrus gravis Dejean, 1828, Zabrus silphoides Dejean, 1828, Zabrus graecus Dejean, 1828, Olisthopus punctulatus Dejean, 1828, Olisthopus hispanicus Dejean, 1828 and Calathus rotundicollis Dejean, 1828. Notes on type story, present status of the taxon, references to keys to identify it and data on present geographic distribution are indicated for each species.
