The rapid on-site extraction of chlorophenols (CPs) from environmental water sample is crucial for the scientific assessment of environmental risks and the implementation of control measures. However, this process presents significant technical challenges. In this study, a solid phase microextraction (SPME) device of drone-liquid circulation system was designed. The device utilized a ZIF-8/agarose derived carbon aerogel coated fiber (ZIF-8/AG-CA-F) for on-site extraction of CPs. Compared to commercial fiber, the ZIF-8/AG-CA-F demonstrated rapid and efficient capacity towards the four selected analytes due to its interconnected hollow porous structure and rich functional groups. The fiber carried by the designed on-site device was used for extracting CPs in actual river water sample. With the help of the micro-pump, the diffusion of the analytes towards the sorptive phase was promoted by accelerating the flow rate of the water sample. The combined effect of SPME fiber and the device accelerates the extraction rate, providing a new approach for rapid and efficient on-site determination of organic pollutants.
