The placeness of white space is a preliminary concept to actively interpret ‘the white space’ as ‘a space with value and meaning of the place’ rather than simply as an empty space. This study aims to build a theoretical model for discussing the placeness of white space. 3W model was derived that summarized the theoretical model on the placeness of white space into The category, The case analysis framework, and The practice strategy. First, As an integrated approach to explaining the placeness of white space. Second, The case analysis framework of the placeness of white space was derived. Third, The practice strategy of the placeness of white space was presented. This study verified the practicality of the theory by applying not only theoretical discussions on the placeness of white space, but also representative cases by type, cases of making placeness of white space, and place marketing measures. This provided a methodology for understanding, quantifying, and evaluating the placenesss of white space. The thoretical model on the placeness of white space can be used to create an alternative place for the loss of humanity and placelessness in an industrial fatique society, and can contribute to socio-cultural use and the practical life of individuals.
