Tingkat Kemampuan Melempar Bola Pada Permainan Bocce Anak Tuna Grahita Ringan Peserta Didik Putri (SDLB) Negeri Wiradesa Kabupaten Pekalongan

Special Education is intended for students who experience difficulties in the learning process due to physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, or social disorders, or have extraordinary intelligence and talent potential (National Education System Law of 2003). Children with physical, cognitive, and behavioural disorders generally receive educational services at Special Schools (SLB), which are special schools for children with special needs. This study used a "One Group Pretest - Posttest" design with a sample size of 10 female students in elementary school. Before being given treatment, an initial measurement of gross motor skills was carried out on moderately mentally retarded students at SLB Negeri Wiradesa with light warm-ups. Furthermore, bocce games were given as a treatment to train gross motor skills. After that, re-measurements were carried out to see changes in gross motor skills, referred to as final tests. The results of the study showed that bocce games could improve the gross motor skills of moderately mentally retarded students in Physical Education subjects at SLB Negeri Wiradesa, especially for female students.

Self-Acceptance of Deaf Students in an inclusive environment at SLB Negeri 1 Padang

This study aims to explore the self-acceptance of deaf students in an inclusive environment at SLB Negeri 1 Padang. Using a qualitative approach, the study involves in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and direct observation in the classroom to understand the factors that affect the self-acceptance of deaf students. The results showed that social support from teachers and peers, inclusive teaching methods, and active participation in extracurricular activities contributed significantly to student self-acceptance. However, deaf students still face challenges in communication and social interaction, which affects their confidence and the way they see themselves. This research provides important insights for educators and stakeholders in designing better educational strategies to support the self-acceptance of deaf students in an inclusive environment. Thus, the results of this study are expected to be a reference for a more inclusive and friendly education policy for all students.

Effectiveness of Using Smart Board Media to Improve the Ability to Recognize Alphabets in Children with Class II Autism Spectrum Disorders at SLB Negeri 1 Harau

This research was motivated by problems that researchers found at SLB Negeri 1 Harau class II. One of the GSA children who doesn't yet know all the alphabets, the letters he doesn't know yet are (j, l, t, v and w). This research aims to see whether the use of smart board media is effective as a solution in improving the ability to recognize the alphabet in GSA children. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B-A design. The results of this research can be seen in 3 conditions. First, the baseline condition (A1) was carried out 3 times with a stable percentage result of 40%. The two intervention conditions (B) were carried out 7 times with a stable percentage of 86%. The three baseline conditions (A2) were carried out 3 times with a stable percentage result of 86%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the use of smart board media is effective in improving the ability to recognize the alphabet for GSA children.

The Importance of Implementing a Creativity Program for Students at Inclusion Schools

<div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><span>Creativity must be developed in the right way to enhance quality and self-confidence. For students with special needs, this is useful to dispel negative assumptions from the surrounding environment, which can impact their mental development. The Creative Education Program (CEP) holds potential as a solution to assist students in schools. The findings of this study include: (1) CEP is a training program organized by schools to prioritize the creative process so that students can absorb lessons effectively and become more interested in learning; (2) The implementation of CEP has been carried out in several elementary schools, namely SLB Bina Harapan, SLB Negeri 1 Bantul, and SLB PGRI Prembun; (3) The benefits of CEP include the development of critical and innovative thinking skills, the nurturing of special interests and talents, and the enhancement of interpersonal skills; (4) CEP is crucial to be implemented in inclusive schools that have not yet incorporated creativity programs directly into children's education. </span></p></div></div></div>

Integrating Task-Based and Differentiated Instruction (DI) to Overcome Language Learning Challenges

This research aims to overcome language learning difficulties faced by students with special needs by applying a task-based approach and differentiated learning (DI). Qualitative methods are used in analyzing data. The research took place at a special school at SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar. SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar is a special school for children with hearing impairments. In this remarkable school, students would learn to communicate by reading the movements of their lips. Primary data in this research refers to the exact information obtained from student grades and academic tests. The treatment is modified according to the children's cognitive capacities. The results showed that task-based and differentiated learning (DI) are effective techniques in supporting students with special needs. High school students with special needs require a different type of parental guidance. Students with special needs can receive learning support by limiting choices and guiding choices. Providing autonomy for students to engage in task-based learning can facilitate higher student learning.

Development of Animated Video Learning Media in Increasing Learning Interest of Deaf Students at Special Schools

This research is development research (R&D) to obtain quality validation in producing animated video learning media to increase the learning interest of class XI Deaf students at Special Schools in SLB Negeri Kota Gorontalo. The media development model used in this research is the ASSURE model consists of six stages: Analyze learner characteristics; state Objectives; select methods, media, and materials; utilize media and materials; require Learner Participation; and evaluate. The instruments used in this research consisted of student activity observation sheet, learning implementation observation sheet, expert validation sheet, student learning result test sheets, and student questionnaires. The validity of the media received an average score of ≥ 3.00, namely 3.93, and was categorized as very valid overall. The validation indicators obtained an average score of ≥ 3.00 for the overall learning material, namely 3.82 in the very valid category. It is concluded that the validity of animated video learning media in increasing the learning interest of deaf students in SLB Negeri Kota Gorontalo.

Analisis Pembelajaran 4 Gerakan Tari Payung untuk Siswa Tunarungu Kelas VI di SLB Negeri Tamansari Kota Tasikmalaya

Dance arts are related to movement and musical rhythm, with a strong connection to hearing. This research is motivated by the researcher’s interest in the abilities of deaf students who can synchronize their movements with musical rhythms to achieve excellence. The purpose of this study is to describe the teaching methods, the four movements of Tari Payung, and the interest of deaf students in dance arts at SLB Negeri Tamansari in Tasikmalaya City. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques use triangulation to combine various data sources and techniques. Qualitative research aims to understand phenomena related to behavior, motivation, perception, and actions of subjects holistically. The research findings indicate that deaf students have a good interest in learning dance arts. Students demonstrate interest, enjoyment, attention, active participation, and good awareness. This is evident from their consistent attendance, enthusiasm during practice, and the achievements they have attained in dance arts education.

NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TEACHERS AND STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES IN BUILDING EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AT A STATE SPECIAL SCHOOL (SLB)

This study aims to determine the nonverbal communication of teachers and students with disabilities in building effective communication in SLB Negeri. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study were two teachers, the main informants, and the principal, the supporting informant. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This research uses a triangulation data validity test. The results of this study indicate that teachers and students with disabilities use nonverbal communication, namely sign language, kinesics, and lip reading. Communication between teachers and students with disabilities in SLB Negeri is very effective because it addresses several important aspects. Teachers build the principle of mutual respect, always provide support and show Empathy, speak in good sentences and not in a hurry, and convey material clearly and accurately to avoid multiple interpretations. In addition, teachers should show a humble attitude by accepting each student's strengths and weaknesses. These aspects make communication between teachers and students with disabilities in SLB Negeri effective and meaningful.

Manajemen Pengembangan Keterampilan Vokasional (Vocational Skills Development Management) Pendidikan Khusus (Studi Multi Situs Pada SLB-C Negeri Pembina dan SLB Negeri Kota Banjarbaru

This research aims to describe the management of special education vocational skills development. This research used a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design and data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The sample in this study used purposive sampling. Data sources for this research include school principals, teachers, and education staff. Data analysis using descriptive analysis begins with data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. Meanwhile, the technique for checking the validity of the data is carried out through diligent observation and triangulation. The results of the research show that vocational skills development management is implemented by fulfilling the stages of the management function, which consist of planning, including analysis of community needs, formulation of the school's vision and mission, planning appropriate learning resources, planning to improve the quality and professionalism of teachers, funding planning, field planning facilities and infrastructure and forms of special service planning; organizing includes determining the organizational structure, placement of teachers and students, determining the position of skills education, allocating facilities and infrastructure; implementation of skills education is carried out through learning strategies, the role of teachers and partnerships with DUDI; control is carried out by conducting supervision, assessing learning outcomes and the quality of education (academic and non-academic). In conclusion, the management of vocational skills development at SLB-C Negeri Pembina Banjarbaru and SLB Negeri Banjarbaru City, namely the management that has been carried out, has been implemented. MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL BAGIAN TUMBUHAN MELALUI MEDIA SCRATCH BAGI ANAK TUNADAKSA

This research was motivated by problems that researchers encountered when carrying out field practice (PL) at SLB Negeri 1 Pagaruyung regarding learning for physically disabled children in class IV in the science and science subject about recognizing plant parts, where the teacher only used makeshift media such as a blackboard and pictures. The aim of this research is to improve the ability to recognize plant parts for children with physical impairments through scratch media. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods with two cycles and each cycle has four meetings. In the first cycle, children with the initial S received scores of 12%, 31%, 43% and 62%. In cycle II, children with the initial S got scores of 87%, 87%, 100% and 100%. Data analysis shows that the use of scratch media can improve children's ability to recognize plant parts

Patient Attitude with Happiness in Mothers of Children with Special Needs

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between patience and happiness in mothers who have children with special needs in SLB Negeri Lahat. This study uses quantitative research using a form of field research in the form of a correlational research model. Data collection methods in this study using questionnaires with Likert scale score measurements. While the data analysis technique uses product moment correlation by Pearson with the help of the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) version 25.0 for Windows program. The results of this study indicate a positive relationship between patience and happiness which shows a correlation of 0.746 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05 which means that the two variables have a relationship. This shows that the effective contribution of the patient attitude variable to the happiness variable is 74.6% while the other 25.4% is determined by other things that are not revealed in this study.

Implementation of “The Project to Strengthen the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5)” SLB Negeri P Theme "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" Through Safari Activities to X Hamlet

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Project for Strengthen the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) of SLB Negeri P with the theme "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" which is packaged through a safari activity to X Hamlet. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method carried out to see and observe the learning carried out. Data collection techniques use interviews and observation. The data analysis technique in this research uses three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that there are three stages in implementing P5, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. This research shows that there is a good impact on SLB Negeri P students and teachers as well as the residents of X Hamlet.

Learning Media "ARASIK" in Understanding the Meaning of Nouns for SDLB Deaf Students at SLB Negeri Bogor

Deaf children experience speech and language difficulties due to hearing loss. Children with hearing loss experience delays and communication difficulties due to delays in speech and language development. The main problem in language acquisition for deaf children is that they have difficulty understanding the meaning of words. The problem is that children can read, but they do not understand what they read. The title of this article is ``The learning media "ARASIK" in understanding the meaning of nouns in SDLB Deaf students at SLB Negeri Bogor" The theoretical foundations used in this study are: (1) understanding the meaning of words, as stated by Nurbeiti Jamalus that the meaning of a word is the relationship between the sound (language) of the word spoken or written with the object concerned; (2) Augmented Realitiy learning media promoted by scientists, that AR can visualize abstract concepts for understanding and the structure of an object model allows AR as a more effective media in accordance with the objectives of learning media. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used refers to Miles and Huberman (1994) which includes three activities, namely: (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) conclusion drawing from the application of "ARASIK" media. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the "ARASIK" media can help facilitate SDLB Deaf students in understanding the meaning of nouns.

Preparation of Non Locomotor Basic Movement Assessment Instruments for Class III Moderate Mentally Retarded Children at SLB Negeri Luragung Kuningan

Assessment is an access used to determine the abilities, difficulties and needs of a child which is then used as a reference to develop an appropriate learning program. A teacher, especially a teacher who handles children with special needs, is required to be able to compile assessment instruments that are suitable for the children he handles. The purpose of this study was to develop a non-locomotor basic motion assessment instrument for class III moderate mental retardation child at SDLB SLB Negeri Luragung. Non-locomotor basic movements are used in learning activities usually in warming up or cooling down during sports that contain motion patterns such as bending, twisting, swinging and bending. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive method. The data in this study were obtained from observations, interviews, FGDs, and validation. The results of observations made by research to three grade III moderate mental retardation child show that children experience obstacles in gross motor non-locomotor basic movements such as in sports lessons during warm-ups the child looks stiff and less able to maintain body balance so as not to fall, while in daily activities maintaining body balance while doing activities in place is very necessary. Therefore, researchers are interested in compiling a non-locomotor basic motion assessment instrument for grade III moderate disability children to find out more about what the child's difficulties are in basic non-locomotor movements, then the results of the assessment instruments that have been prepared are validated to determine readability and applicability.

Analysis of Career Potential Based on Holland's Theory to Prepare Graduates among Students with Intellectual Disabilities

Students with intellectual disabilities often encounter significant challenges as they prepare for post-graduation careers. Recognizing the importance of aligning career paths with individual interests and abilities, SLB Negeri 1 Yogyakarta serves as a pivotal institution in vocational education for these students. This research employs case studies to delve into the ways vocational education programs can enhance career readiness among intellectually disabled students, using interest and talent assessments based on Holland’s theory. The study involves 28 students at the SMALB level, a guidance counselor, 10 vocational instructors, and 8 parents, employing methods such as semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and documentation analysis. Findings indicate a significant correlation between Holland's personality types and the career interests of students, with realistic, conventional, and artistic types prevailing. Moreover, career guidance grounded in Holland's theory at SLB Negeri 1 Yogyakarta effectively nurtures vocational skills that resonate with the students’ talents and capabilities, supporting their potential career trajectories.

Peningkatan Pemahaman tentang Pendidikan bagi Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) “Studi Kasus di SLB Negeri 1 Jayapura”

This service activity aims to provide awareness or increase understanding for teachers in the SLB Negeri 1 Jayapura environment about the importance of education for children with special needs. The method used in this service uses qualitative descriptive research. The results of this research show that the implementation of education in Special Schools does not always run smoothly. There are various problems, both internal and external, as happened at SLB Negeri 1 Jayapura. Seeing situations like this, researchers provide solutions in the form of counseling and assistance. Schools as educational institutions in society greatly determine the dynamics of students' personal development as learners. The teachers as class managers have made such efforts in designing learning and providing encouragement. Teachers become innovators and encouragers. The existence of schools is not only important for normal children, but is also useful for children with special needs (ABK) who have limitations and deficiencies when it comes to interacting with other people. In reality, there are sociocultural obstacles, as happened at SLB Negeri 1 Jayapura. The output achieved through this PKM is increasing the knowledge of teachers in partner schools to improve professionalism and quality of learning through better strategies and teacher roles.

INVESTIGATING THE STUDENTS’ NEED IN LEARNING ENGLISH VOCABULARY: NEED ANALYSIS FOR SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS

This research aimed at finding out the learning needs of deaf students in learning English vocabulary using digital book at SLB Negeri 1 Makassar. The participants of the research were chosen by using total sampling The students’ criteria who experience a loss of hearing and speech impairments may face various challenges in their educational journey were the participant this research were thirty students of junior high school and senior high school SLB Negeri 1 Makassar. The data was collected through questionnaire and interview. The results of this research showed that deaf students was Important purpose in learning English for deaf students was to succeed in college, to succeed in career, for information exchange, to get a scholarship, and for personal needs. Deaf students are having barriers to writing, reading, speaking and listening skills. vocabulary important materials for deaf students were vocabulary at school, in the classroom, school equipment, at school, subjects, classroom activities, school uniform, extracurricular, school environment, profession, family, daily activity, month and day vocabulary. Learning models that were important to deaf students in their vocabulary learning preferences in the classroom include learning alone, learning in a pair, learning in small groups, and learning in large groups. Deaf learning activities and media in vocabulary learning in the classroom were using sign language and digital-based learning. An important place to learn vocabulary for deaf students is in the school area. The teacher said that all activities and learning processes students use smartphone as media. Technology strongly supports media in teaching English which will enrich the repertoire of learning and facilitate teachers in the teaching process and the use of smartphones can be one of the media that can attract or motivate students in learning English.

UNLOCKING NVDA: TEACHERS’ VIEWS ON ENHANCING LISTENING SKILLS FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS

This study aims to investigate the teachers’ perceptions towards the implementation of Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) in enhancing English listening skills among visually impaired students at SLB Negeri Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Visually impaired students often face unique challenges in language acquisition due to limited access to visual cues. This research seeks to address this critical issue by examining the implementation of NVDA as an assistive technology to facilitate English language learning done by teachers. The research employed a qualitative method and used semi structure interview as the instrument. Three teachers at this school were chosen as the respondents. The results show that the teachers used this tool because it has benefits. This can motivate students to learn English better, especially listening skills. NVDA is believed to be able to increase the students’ ability in mastering English, beside this tool is also free and easy to operate. The findings are expected to inform educational policies and practices to better support the language development of visually impaired individuals and, in turn, promote inclusivity and accessibility in the educational system.

Improving Body Balance of Students with Disabilities Through Foam Jumping Game

This study aims to see the effect of foam jumping games on improving the body balance of children with disabilities. The research method used is an experimental method in the form of single-subject reaserch (SSR). The research subjects were students with moderate impairment at SLB Negeri Wiradesa school. Data collection techniques and instruments used are body balance grid instruments. The results of the research with a modified foam jumping game approach for children with moderate impairment have a positive impact on the results of students’ body balance. Previous testing had been carried out by increasing the mean level in each phase as the subject in baseline 1 (A1) has a mean level of 62.8.5%, while in the intervention phase (b) it is 71%, and the last phase is baseline 2 (A2) 86%. The conclusion of this study is that foam jumping game can improve the body balance of children with disabilities in SLB Negeri Wiradesa.
