We have designed an on-grid hybrid power plant that combines solar and biomass energy sources. The solar plant has a capacity of 6 MW, and the biomass plant has a capacity of 2 MW. The hybrid solar-biomass power plant is still a recent renewable technology. It is an ongoing investigation that not only proposes dispatchable power generation but also benefits from having a flexible input source, including solar and bioenergy. We aimed to successfully design a hybrid project using proper analysis, to reduce the cost of power generation through a grid-connected hybrid system, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We used PVsyst software to simulate the solar plant and created the PV mounting structure and Single Line Diagram (SLD) using AutoCAD software. We have used Microsoft Excel software to carry out the cost analysis. We also calculated how much biomass waste and gas the biomass plant will need. We have been able to successfully design our hybrid power plant and, at the same time, reduce the power generation cost comparatively. The hybrid system design has made it possible to ensure the most convenient arrangement of electricity.
