Simplified modeling study of the forward fuselage structure based on the overall structural rapid design software for civil aircraft

Abstract In order to solve the problems of poor weight estimation accuracy and difficult layout design trade-offs in the concept demonstration and overall program definition stage of civil aircraft, Aircraft Layout, a civil aircraft overall program structure rapid design software, is used to establish a numerical calculation-based layout program rapid design simulation platform. Based on the forward fuselage structure, this paper gives the results of rapid modeling and finite element simulation and analysis of the forward fuselage isotropic section of a certain type of aircraft, which provides a reference for the optimization design of the structural components of the forward fuselage section of a certain type of aircraft in the conceptual scheme design stage.

3D model topology algorithm based on virtual reality visual features

This study proposes a virtual reconstruction method for fuzzy 3D images based on visual communication effects to improve recognition ability. This method includes constructing a grid distribution model for 3D images, recombining spatial information features using visual feature extraction, and detecting edges using contour feature extraction. A three-dimensional image visual communication model was established, and adaptive pixel reconstruction was achieved through fuzzy structure reconstruction method. Reconstruct the texture structure and grayscale histogram of 3D images to achieve high-quality virtual reconstruction. The simulation results verified the effectiveness of the method, and the designed simulation platform verified the accuracy and completeness of the method, demonstrating the improvement of existing systems and the potential for advancing the field of visual communication.

A scheduling optimization method for multiple automated guided vehicle systems

When constructing a multiple automated guided vehicle (multi-AGV) system, it is essential to calculate the potential values of the system’s feature parameters. This article presents two time-cost calculators and an improved simulation platform for scientifically estimating the cost of constructing a multi-AGV system. By inputting the parameters of the number of automated guided vehicles (AGVs), the velocity of the AGV, the number of tasks, scheduling interval and path length, the designed calculator can output the system’s time expense when all tasks are completed. The designed simulation platform can display a specific multi-AGV system’s time cost and how the entire progress works in a visual interface. An advanced scheduling method based on handover mode and A* algorithm is used to solve task scheduling problems in a multi-AGV system. The overall performance of the newly integrated scheduling system is compared with other scheduling systems to validate its superiority and shortcomings in different corresponding work scenarios. The final results present a robust solution to improve a multi-AGV system’s effectiveness.

Application of human–computer interaction virtual reality technology in urban cultural creative design

As the in-depth expansion and integrated application of information technology, smart city is one of the important directions for nurturing breakthroughs in the new generation of information technology, and an important part of the development of global strategic emerging industries. In the context of world peace, the world economy is developing rapidly and the process of urbanization is accelerating. The construction of a city not only reflects the economic strength of the city, but also is closely related to the life of the citizens. Therefore, this paper aimed to explore a new way of urban cultural creative design. This paper focused on the application of human–computer interaction virtual reality (VR) technology in urban cultural creative design. For this reason, this paper designed an interactive and immersive urban design simulation platform based on VR technology. In order to choose the viewing angle freely and control the design module freely, this paper proposed improved gesture recognition algorithm and anti-collision algorithm. The algorithm designed in this paper can enable designers to have better presentation effects when working on the platform, making architectural design more intuitive. Experiments show that the average accuracy rate of the gesture recognition algorithm designed in this paper reaches 97.3%, which is 4.1% higher than that of the traditional algorithm; and when the anti-collision algorithm in this paper is set to the optimal parameters, the accuracy rate is as high as 95%. These results fully demonstrate that the human–computer interaction VR technology design platform proposed in this paper has good design performance and can be applied to urban cultural creative design.

Design and application of real-time traffic simulation platform based on UTC/SCOOT and VISSIM

ABSTRACT The problems of traditional road traffic signal control simulation and the natural connections between UTC/SCOOT and VISSIM are analysed. Three different levels of simulation model concepts are summarised and a real-time traffic simulation platform based on UTC/SCOOT, interface technology, and VISSIM is designed. This paper provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of integrating the UTC/SCOOT and VISSIM systems and using them to create a real-time traffic simulation platform. It has been successfully applied in Zhuhai Traffic Control Management, where it has been confirmed to be highly effective and practical, with an effectiveness rate of over 85%. The research shows that using this platform can significantly reduce the time and cost involved in optimising traffic plans. For multiple optimisation attempts, this platform is able to save 1 hour of time compared to not using it. This platform improves traffic control management, enhances the accuracy of traffic simulation evaluations.

Research on Bidirectional Isolated Charging System Based on Resonant Converter

This paper proposes a two-stage bidirectional isolated charging system, which can realize the bidirectional flow of electric energy, not only making the electric energy flow from the grid side to the battery side but also converting the battery’s energy into single-phase alternating current to supply other electric equipment. The charging system also has the function of power factor correction and wide-range voltage output. The front stage of the charging system is a bidirectional totem pole structure power factor correction converter with a voltage and current double closed-loop control strategy to ensure the stability of the DC bus voltage, and the rear stage is a bidirectional CLLLC resonant converter, which adopts a high-frequency soft start strategy to reduce the inrush current during start-up and ensure the safe operation of the converter. Moreover, the frequency control strategy is used to make it have a wide range of DC output characteristics. In this paper, the principle analysis and parameter calculation of the charging system is carried out, the simulation platform and hardware circuit design are built, and a test prototype is piloted to verify the bidirectional operating characteristics of the charging system. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate the correctness of the theoretical analysis and topology design.

Design of vehicular flight test simulation platform for a civil airplane

During the flight test process of newly developed civil airplane, flight tests are often carried out at several typical airports according to different tasks such as high humidity, high temperature and low temperature tests. Using a vehicular flight test simulator to support flight test task not only can address the needs of multi-regional flight test tasks, but also can provide effective support for ensuring flight test safety and improving flight test efficiency. Aiming at the vehicular flight test simulation platform, an extendable vehicle platform is designed to make it has enough inner space to build the flight test simulator. Moreover, according to the uniqueness of the vehicular platform, the visual subsystem and simulation cockpit subsystem are optimal designed. Based on the details above, the overall design of the platform is formed.

Simulink-based simulation platform design and faults impact analysis of attitude control systems

AbstractThe satellite attitude control system (SACS) is a complicated system. In order to reflect the relationship among different components in SACS and analyse the impact of component faults on system performance, a complete simulation platform of the SACS based on Simulink is built in this paper. With the embedding of the specific reaction flywheel, gyroscope and earth sensor model, and the design of the controller based on the quaternion feedback, the simulation platform can not only simulate the real SACS at the component level, but it can also realise the injection of component faults for analysing the system performance. Simulations are conducted to verify the performance of the simulation platform. Simulation results show that this simulation platform has the ability to accurately reflect the control performance of the SACS, and the output accuracy of the component model is high. The research results reveal that this simulation platform can provide model support for verifying the algorithm of fault diagnosis, prediction and tolerant control of the SACS. This simulation platform is easy to use and can be expanded and improved.

High Flexibility Hybrid Architecture Real-Time Simulation Platform Based on Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)

With the expansion of system scale and the reduction in simulation step size, the design of a power system real-time simulation platform faces many difficulties. The interactive operation of real-time simulation presents the characteristics of phased and centralized. This paper proposes selecting the appropriate simulation method for each sub-network according to the system operation requirements, and the sub-network simulation method can be changed with the change in system operation requirements in the simulation process. In order to change the sub-network simulation method in the simulation process, a high flexibility hybrid architecture real-time simulation platform based on FPGA was designed. The main body of the architecture runs in the high control mode of instruction flow and uses instruction flexibility to realize the requirement of changing methods. The algorithm modularity architecture is used as an auxiliary architecture to reduce the instruction cost and increase the computing power. Finally, the hybrid architecture real-time simulation platform was implemented in the Xilinx VC709 board (Xilinx corporation, San Jose, CA, USA), and the verification results show that under the same system scale, the hybrid architecture simulation platform combined with simulation method changing realizes shorter simulation step and complex interactive operation.

Preliminary design of real-time plasma control system for CFETR

The China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor (CFETR), aiming at demonstrating fusion energy production in self-sufficient burning in different advanced operation scenarios, has entered the stage of engineering design and R&D (research and development). The real-time plasma control system (PCS), as a critical system controlling the evolution of plasma parameters that are necessary to operate CFETR, is designed synchronously. The CFETR PCS is composed of system architecture, integrated control algorithms, and two assistant tools PCS-SDP (Software Development Platform) and PCS-VP (Verification Platform) for algorithm development and verification. Taking the steady-state operation and machine safety into account, the requirement and conceptual design of the system architecture of CFETR PCS is introduced in this paper. PCS-SDP, a visual algorithm development platform, has completed the preliminary design and a prototype has been built to validate the design and technical feasibility with the control algorithm development for EAST. PCS-VP is under preliminary design taking ITER PCSSP (Plasma Simulation Platform) design as reference. These two tool platforms will strongly support and accelerate the development of CFETR PCS.

Design of simulation platform for chassis engine driven generating system

With the development of equipment on-vehicles, the chassis engine driven generating technique is paid more and more attention in the mobile operation vehicles. Based on the analysis of engine driven power generating working principle, this paper designs a simulation platform for chassis engine driven generating system, mainly including the following four parts, such as engine chassis simulation mechanism, engine driven generator, electric energy transducer and testing and displaying system. With this platform, power generating experiments under different working conditions can be performed such as parking power generation, traveling power generation, section speed regulation power generation and load increase and decrease. The result of the experiment proves that the power output from this simulation platform can meet the demand for electric requirement from the equipment, and has good static and dynamic characteristics, which can provide certain reference value for the design of vehicle chassis engine driven generating system.

Design of Radial Artery Simulation Platform Based on Waveform Drive

In order to obtain the three-dimensional pulse information and blood pressure waveform needed in the study, a radial artery simulation platform with programmable controlled injection pump as the core was constructed by using the circulation theory of human cardiovascular system and pulse wave formation mechanism. Gaussian function model was selected to synthesize multi-type pulse wave to program and drive the platform. The three-dimensional pulse information and blood pressure waveform of the simulated radial artery were collected by binocular visual pulse detection system and pressure transmitter respectively, and the platform stability and repeatability were tested by Pearson correlation. The experimental results show that the radial artery simulation platform is stable, reliable and repeatable, and can generate multiple types of three-dimensional pulse information and blood pressure waveform at the simulated radial artery. The platform is simple in structure, low in cost, and produces many types of pulsating flow. It provides an experimental research platform for revealing the relationship between the three-dimensional pulse information of radial artery and the change of pressure inside the vessel, as well as the prediction of blood pressure waveform from the three-dimensional pulse information.

Homing Pigeon-Inspired Autonomous Navigation System for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

This article proposes a novel homing behavior model of pigeons and the simulation results are presented. A homing pigeon-inspired autonomous navigation system for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is further achieved. Experimental results on the designed simulation platform show that UAV can finish an autonomous return voyage similar to the homing pigeon.

Visualized Co-Simulation of Adaptive Human Behavior and Dynamic Building Performance: An Agent-Based Model (ABM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Approach for Smart Architectural Design

Human (occupant) behavior has been a topic of active research in the study of architecture and energy. To integrate the work of architectural design with techniques of building performance simulation in the presence of responsive human behavior, this study proposes a computational framework that can visualize and evaluate space occupancy, energy use, and generative envelope design given a space outline. A design simulation platform based on the visual programming language (VPL) of Rhino Grasshopper (GH) and Python is presented so that users (architects) can monitor real-time occupant response to space morphology, environmental building operation, and the formal optimization of three-dimensional (3D) building space. For dynamic co-simulation, the Building Controls Virtual Test Bed, Energy Plus, and Radiance were interfaced, and the agent-based model (ABM) approach and Gaussian process (GP) were applied to represent agents’ self-learning adaptation, feedback, and impact on room temperature and illuminance. Hypothetical behavior scenarios of virtual agents with experimental building geometry were produced to validate the framework and its effectiveness in supporting dynamic simulation. The study’s findings show that building energy and temperature largely depend on ABMs and geometry configuration, which demonstrates the importance of coupled simulation in design decision-making.
