In strategic development a university will shift from teaching university to research university. It is because academic outcomes will be more useful if they can be commercialized by industries, which help improve the ranking of a university. The development of capital market and management measures of Indonesia Stock Exchange during the last 8 years aiming at academicians in order to identify and be interested in investing in the stock market needs to be observed. That is by providing a simulation so that more students can improve the competition at their graduation. The involvement of industry selection strategy and portfolio management will be required so that the expertise and ability to manage investments in the capital market can be better. So, it necessarily requires a development of simulation application of stock trading with business rotation and linear programming.

Simulation Based Decision Support Systems: An Industrial End-user Based Requirement Gathering Process

Modern manufacturing systems are growing in scale and complexity and increasingly require integrated predictive modelling and optimization methodologies to support routine decision making processes. The engineering of a free open source simulation modelling platform is the basis of the DREAM project, a Framework Programme 7 initiative co-funded by the European Commission. This paper reports on the capture of requirements for DREAM from four industrial end-users. These industrial end-users’ requirements and accompanying pilot cases drive the research, technology and development work in the project. The users vary in size from micro-SME to multi-national and global organizations and by industry; from semi-conductor manufacturing, medical device design and manufacture to industrial machine manufacture and pre- process/prototype manufacturers. To capture requirements from the organizations a methodology was developed which is reported on in the paper. Its outcomes provide the basis for the subsequent open-source software development. In particular, the work assessed the various partner needs in the pre-coding, simulation application development, simulation application use and data-analytics areas which cover the end-to-end usage of a simulation based decision support system

A COMPONENT-BASED MODELING AND SIMULATION SUPPORTING ENVIRONMENT

Simulation modelers, engineers and managers are faced with new challenges at large-scale complex simulation application development. To reduce the difficulty of developing such simulation applications, the simulation environment is required to be extensible, reusable and composable. In order to promote the reusability from coarse-grained federate to fine-grained components, this paper proposes a modeling and simulation environment which consists of component-based architecture, modeling methods, and simulation services to support and simplify the process of complex simulation application construction. Moreover, a standard process and simulation tools are developed to ensure the rapid and effective development of simulation applications.

Creation principals of universal modeling environment for simulation application development

The structure principles of the universal modeling environment and it's means of different simulation application arrangement are described in the report. There are examples of environment usage according to separate application realization. The perspective of it's development is shown.
