Management effectiveness and emotional intelligence in diverse workplaces in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China, have been the subject of related research. The significance of emotional intelligence in fostering a productive workplace is a hot topic, as it allows individuals to recognize, understand, and manage their own emotions and those of others (Kargeti, 2023). Additionally, leadership effectiveness is influenced by emotional intelligence dimensions such as self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills (Tian, 2022). Therefore, this study aims to investigate the factors influencing Leadership Effectiveness based on 5 aspects: Demographic Factors, Emotional Intelligence, Cultural Diversity in Organization, Communication Strategies, and Leadership Styles. The quantitative method is applied. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percent frequency, the arithmetic mean, and the standard deviation are used to analyze the data collected from questionnaires. Suitable Inferential Statistical Methods are used to test the hypothesis, particularly the Independent Samples t-test, the One-way ANOVA, and the Multiple linear Regression Analysis. The results obtained from the study indicate that differences in Marital Status, Age, Educational Level, Monthly Income, and Working Experiences generate differences in Leadership Effectiveness. Based on the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, all aspects of Emotional Intelligence (Self-awareness, Self-regulation, Motivation, Empathy, and Social Skills), Cultural Diversity in Organization (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), Communication Strategies (Awareness and Understanding, Communication Quality, Accessibility, and Employee Engagement), and Leadership Styles (Decision-making Leadership Styles, Everyday Leadership Styles, Beyond Everyday-work Leadership Styles, Values-based Leadership Styles) are found out to have a positive impact on Leadership Effectiveness.

Abstract Adolescence is a stage marked by physical, hormonal, and psycho social changes. It is a transaction period in a person’s life between childhood and adulthood. An adolescent experience different feeling, sometimes negative emotions and in certain situations react more promptly. Their reactions are more strong to the situations emitting emotions. According to Peter Salovey and John Mayer (1997) “Emotional intelligence is the ability to monitor one's own and other people's emotions, to discriminate between different emotions and label them appropriately, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behaviour". In today’s world educator’s emphasis, more on social-emotional learning among children. In India the new National Education Policy 2020 is been framed keeping in mind the social emotional development of children ensuring holistic development. It states that major goal of our education system must be to “develop good human beings capable of rational thought and action, possessing compassion and empathy”. This article will help to realize the value and significance of emotional intelligence in adolescents. Also, various factors affecting the emotional intelligence of adolescents though literature review. It was observed and analysis that variation of emotions is more in adolescents than children but need to learn how to regulate and manage their emotions effectively. Hence, emotional regulation skills need to be developed among adolescents. Further researches are recommended in the field of emotional intelligence identifying the Emotional Quotient of adolescents and factors affecting it. Major factors indicated in most of the studies are personality, lifestyle, environmental factors, digital world, social and parental style. In this competitive world adolescent may have good Intelligent Quotient but lack in Emotional Quotient. The article suggests that there is strong need to enhance the emotional quotient of young people and work on the factors affecting it.

THE INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON LEARNING MOTIVATION AND ITS IMPLICATIONS ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN THE SUBJECT OF ECONOMICS

This study investigates the correlation between emotional intelligence, learning motivation, and academic performance among 10th-grade Social Science students at SMAN 3 Tasikmalaya in the subject of Economics. Employing a quantitative survey-based approach with an explanatory survey research design, the research involves 107 students, using a saturated sample collection technique encompassing the entire population. Data was gathered through questionnaires, and statistical path analysis was utilized to explore both direct and indirect hypotheses. The findings revealed high scores in Learning Outcomes (6.997), Emotional Intelligence (5.395), and Learning Motivation (5.374). The direct hypothesis analysis demonstrates a significant influence of Emotional Intelligence on Learning Motivation and Learning Outcomes, while Learning Motivation alone does not significantly impact Learning Outcomes. Moreover, the indirect hypothesis analysis suggests that Emotional Intelligence does not exert a significant indirect effect on Learning Outcomes through Learning Motivation. This study sheds light on the significance of Emotional Intelligence in fostering Learning Motivation and subsequently impacting academic performance in Economics among high school students.

This article presents a discussion of the concept of emotional intelligence and provides a rationale with reference to the relevant literature on the concept and significance of emotional intelligence in social work education. In this piece I argue that emotions can influence moral decision making in social work and may act as moral markers and motivators for social work practitioners and students. It offers my viewpoint on emotional intelligence based on my practice experience as a registered social worker, a social work educator and a learner completing a PhD in social work. Finally, I explicate some suggestions to further include emotional intelligence in the social workers’ ongoing professional development and social work students’ education.

Emotional intelligence is elucidated as a person’s capability to identify, stabilize and assimilate one’s emotions and expertise which he exercises to maintain his affinity with himself and others around. Now with its growing popularity its significance has been ascertain in the domain of HRM too. The principal intent of the research article is to study and assimilate emotional intelligence at the work area. This research paper emphasizes on the function and significance of emotional intelligence at the work area. For the analysis evaluation of literature of former research worker have also been assessed. The study engages a sample of 100 Employees functioning at ICICI Bank, Nagpur, Maharashtra. The tools which were needed for the inquisition are Organizational Climate Questionnaire, Emotional Intelligence Inventory and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour Scale. Analytical stats which were applied for the analysis are Pearson’s product moment correlation and standard deviation. The result shows a significant and a strong association resides between these three Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Climate and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour. Research article suggested that scholastic skills and professional skills are not just sufficient to gain progress in someone’s job roles and emotional intelligence contributes a noticeable role in the progress of an establishment. It should be the duty of an establishment to appoint the staff members on the level of understanding of their Emotional Quotient and as well as arrange divergent workshops for training and development of the employees, which will enhance and improve their emotional intelligence at the work area.

GENDER BASED ANALYSIS OF TEACHER EDUCATORS EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCEIN RELATION TO THEIR TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In the new millennium, teachers are challenged to educate students to fulfill the demands of an internationally competitive global society. This responsibility increases many times when we talk about teacher educators, which occupy a central position in the educational system. Emotional status is a controlling factor intheir teaching ability. Looking at the significance of emotional intelligence (EI) in the present scenario, the investigator is keen to study the influence of genderand teaching experience onthe EIof teacher educators in Northern India, especially Haryana.This study has been conducted to assess the EI of teacher educators in relation to their gender and experience. The emotional intelligence scale by Anukool Hyde, SanjyotPethe, and Upinder Dhar (2002) have used for analysis. Data obtained by stratified randomization was analyzed statistically using descriptive and test of significance analysis by One Way ANOVA. Results revealed no significant difference between the overall Emotional Intelligence of male and female teacher educators. However, each gender dominated in separated emotional intelligence factors wherefemale teacher educators mainly dominated in factors like managing relations, empathy, altruistic behavior, and integrity as compared to males. On the other hand, male teacher educators dominated mainly inself-awareness, self-motivation, emotional stability, integrity,self-development,and value orientation. Thus,overallEI is not gender-dependent,while different emotional intelligence factors varybetween male and female teacher educators depending on personality traits and living conditions. On the other hand, results have shown the positive impact of teaching experience on the total EI of teacher educators, where EI factors like empathy, self-motivation, managing relations, and integrity are enhanced with experience and thereby contribute to the enhancement of overall EI in both male and female teacher educators.Present study results will help embellish the subject matter of gender-based differencesin Emotional Intelligenceabout their experience.The outcome of this study would be beneficial fora further incremental increase of teacher educators EI by focusing on specific factors if teacher educatorsprogramsshould be prepared by considering all these effectors accordingly that would enlighten not only teacher education but also improve the impact of the Indian education system.

Emotional intelligence among medical students: a cross sectional study from central Kerala, India

Background: The term ‘emotional intelligence’ describes the ability ‘to monitor one's own and others’ feelings and emotions, to discriminate between them and to use the information to guide one's thinking and actions. The significance of emotional intelligence in the successful practice of medicine has long been recognized. The present study intends to assess the level of emotional intelligence among medical students, in Central Kerala and to determine the factors that influence emotional intelligence of medical students.Methods: A quantitative, cross sectional, questionnaire-based study conducted among 251 medical students belonging to two medical colleges in Central Kerala, India using the Schutte self report emotional intelligence test (SSEIT), which is a standardized semi-structured questionnaire. Data was coded and entered in Microsoft excel worksheet. Descriptive statistics like percentage was used. Inferential statistics were applied as needed using licensed version of SPSS 20, and was expressed statistically significant at p-value less than 0.05.Results: Among the total 251 study participants, mean age of the participants were 21.5± 1.14. Majority were females (67.7%). The mean score of EI among the study participants were 121.43±19.06. Out of the total study participants 63.3% had average EI score. The present study showed a statistically significant association between age category of the study participants and EI scores.Conclusions: The mean EI scores of the study participants were in an agreeable range with 63.3% having average EI scores.

Investigating moderating role of emotional intelligence among counterproductive work behavior, work interference and negative emotions in development sector of Pakistan

This study reveals the worth of Emotional Intelligence (EI) to act as a moderator in undertaking the worst effects of Counterproductive Work Behavior (CWB) influenced by negative emotions and work interference. Contract based employees of the non-profit organizations in development sector of Pakistan were targeted. The responses were obtained in time lags of two weeks to overcome the issues of cross-sectional data and self-serving bias. The 258 fully responded questionnaires by the targeted employees were analyzed in SPSS. The results emphasized that negative emotions and work interference predicts CWB and EI act as a moderator in this relationship. Employees having low EI engaged more in CWB confirming the predictive relationship. It is recommended that the management needs to underline the significance of EI at all levels of the organization for desirable behaviors at workplace. Implications were deliberated to overcome CWB through high and low levels of EI.

Assessing the Emotional Intelligence (EI) among Dental Students in Chennai — A Cross Sectional Study

The significance of emotional intelligence (EI) in the prosperous act of medical field has been very much entrenched. However, attempts to investigate the alike in India, especially in dentist and medical professionals, are insufficient. Hence the present study aimed to assess the emotional intelligence among dental students in Chennai. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 177 interns in dental colleges in Chennai. Schutte et al Emotional Intelligence scale was used to measure the EI of the study participants. The emotional intelligence score ranges from 33 to 165, greater scores representing greater EI. Frequency and percentage distribution of the scores were calculated. Independent t-test was done to analyse the difference in EI scores among the participants. The EI ranges among the study participants with a mean of 123.9 and standard deviation of 12.4. Mean score was highest among the perception of emotion and managing own emotion domain when compared with other domains. The present study revealed, there was no much remarkable differences in the overall EI score among male and female participants and it was found to be statistically insignificant. More consideration towards the improvement of emotional intelligence among students by dental professional, pay way to betterment of educational and clinical presentation.

The purpose of the article is to study the relationship between the innovative readiness of higher education teachers and emotional intelligence. The methodological basis of the research are the works of such researchers in the field of a personality-centered approach to education as K. Rogers, I.V. Abakumova, I.S. Yakimanskaya, V.V. Serikov, E.V. Bondarevskaya, M.A., Andreev V.I. and others, as well as conceptual provisions in the field of emotional intelligence of scientists (J. Meyer, P. Salovey and D. Caruso R. Bar-On and D. Goleman N. Hall). We have chosen as research methods: diagnostics of "emotional intelligence" (N.Hall); questionnaire to identify the level of innovative readiness for personality-centered interaction of university teachers (author's methodology). As a result of the conducted empirical research, the hypothesis put forward by us about the presence of a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and the innovative indicator of the ability for person-centered interaction of higher school teachers was confirmed.

Significance of Emotional Intelligence in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: A Study on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Financial and Educational Services Sector

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the cognitive ability of a computer or machine to think and learn. It is imperative to evaluate the extent to which the Artificial Intelligence (AI) can integrate Emotional Intelligence (EI) which is being posited as a facilitator of enhancing millennial engagement. This study is undertaken with two objectives: 1) exploring the extent of use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in financial services and 2) examining AI‟s role in enhancing a student‟s experience in learning activities. The methodology of the study is mainly exploratory. The study brings forth certain significant implications of the future of skill development and the ethical issues that require deliberation for purposes of legislation and drafting of public protection policies.

Tactics of handling interpersonal conflict through emotional intelligence

This paper aims to investigate the relationship of team leader's emotional intelligence (EI) with indirect intervention of five conflict-handling styles on interpersonal conflict. Totally, 213 out of 300 team leaders completed a paper-based questionnaire with 71% return rate. SPSS 23 and PROCESS MACRO to test mediation, 5,000 times bootstrapping with cross-sectional research design was used. Results show that EI is negatively and significantly associated with interpersonal conflict. High EI team leaders are better able to address interpersonal conflict. Furthermore, integrating style mediated relationship between EI and interpersonal conflict. This study provides a broad insight for leader's EI abilities and conflict management techniques. It contributes to the literature by identifying significance of EI for team leader and its effects on interpersonal conflict through five handling styles in a non-western context. This study enhances understanding of conflict situations and appropriate style selection to cater interpersonal conflict in telecom industry of Pakistan.

Utilisation of Emotional Intelligence in the Retail Banking Sector A Preliminary Model for Lebanon

Emotional intelligence (EI) has been the subject of much controversy over the years consequent to its significance and widespread utilisation in business, as well as due to the ways it has been defined and labelled since the 19th century. Given the fact that emotional intelligence can have a major impact on the retail banking sector, a culturally-driven perspective is deemed significant, especially in the context of Lebanon - a market that appears to fit no existing model of emotional intelligence. Thus, the aim of this research is to create a preliminary model of emotional intelligence that fits the Lebanese retail banking sector (LRBS), through a combination of existing models, interviews, theoretical research and secondary data. The research findings have identified and inter-related Lebanese-specific cultural variables to be further empirically researched towards an evaluation of their significance regarding individuals' EI. The research further developed a preliminary model of EI for the LRBS, comprising general variables, Lebanese-specific variables, and EI skills. The value of the research stems from its contribution to knowledge on the role and significance of EI in the LRBS, as well as from its setting of the foundation for future research that will refine, test and finalise this model.
