The role of sharia microfinance institutions in developing MSMEs

This study aims to investigate and identify the current conditions regarding the role of Sharia microfinance institutions in developing MSME businesses. The community needs Microfinance institutions, especially low-income groups and small and micro-entrepreneurs who have yet to be reached by banking financial services, especially public banks. In providing loans to MSMEs, microfinance institutions must effectively educate and equip their clients with relevant entrepreneurial knowledge and skills. This research will use a qualitative approach with a case study method, which does not use statistical generalizations but uses logical generalizations and replication. Three Sharia microfinance institutions and sixteen MSME cases will be selected in this research. The research was conducted at Sharia Microfinance Institutions as providers of microcredit and MSMEs receiving microcredit in the Southern region of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Gunungkidul, and Kulonprogo. This research will use three data collection methods, namely interviews, observation, and documentation, to maintain the validity and reliability of the data. Data triangulation is used to test the validity of the data. The data analysis process in this research uses two stages: descriptive analysis and case analysis. The findings of this research show hope regarding the promise of easy access to capital or funding sources as an effective tool for improving MSME business development through effectiveness, supervision, and guidance carried out by Sharia microfinance institutions. This change can be realized if the community has economic stability obtained through easy access to capital, increasing business income, and empowering the community to be ready to become entrepreneurs. It supports the development of a creative economy industry based on entrepreneurship and globally competitive ethics.

ANALYSIS OF FACTORS INFLUENCING THE REALIZATION OF MURABAHAH FINANCING FOR MICRO AGRIBUSINESS ENTERPRISES IN THE TRADE SECTOR (CASE STUDY AT BMT AL-AKBAR, DELI SERDANG DISTRICT)

Micro businesses have an important role in employment absorption and gross domestic product (GDP). The problem often faced by micro businesses is the difficulty of obtaining loans from banks. Sharia Microfinance Institutions (LKMS) are an alternative source of financing. Baitul Mal wat Tanwil (BMT) Al-Akbar is a sharia microfinance institution that provides micro business financing through murabahah financing. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the realization of murabahah financing through customer characteristics. The sampling method was carried out using convenience sampling and the number of samples used was 40 people. The collected data was processed using multiple regression. The research results show that the significant factors are length of education, length of business, net business income for one month and collateral.

Microfinance practices versus sustainable welfare

This study primarily investigates microfinance practices for sustainable community welfare. Microcredit aims to provide credit to poor people to help empower communities and reduce poverty. Community empowerment strategies can be carried out by increasing the productivity of poor communities to increase their income. A basic approach that emphasizes that the poor move from their current situation to a better position by empowering MSMEs through the distribution of microcredit by micro-financial institutions. Changes that will result in sustainable prosperity, decreasing inequality between regions, and reducing community income gaps. This research will use a qualitative approach using the case study method, which does not use statistical generalizations but uses logical and replicative generalizations. This research uses multiple cases with varying characteristics as research informants. Two microfinance institutions and ten cases of MSMEs will be selected in this research. The study was conducted at Sharia Microfinance Institutions as providers of microcredit and MSMEs receiving microcredit in the Southern region of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Bantul. This district was chosen because Bantul has the highest poverty rate. This condition is the focus of attention for maximum treatment. This research will use three data collection methods: interview, observation, and documentation, to maintain the data's validity and reliability. Data triangulation was used to test the validity of the data. The data analysis process in this research uses two stages: descriptive analysis and within-case analysis. The research results found that microfinance practices carried out through Sharia Microfinance Institutions (SMFI), apart from focusing on providing accessible financing facilities, have also provided direction in developing MSMEs and taking action towards community welfare. Metode RGEC dalam Perbandingan Tingkat Kesehatan LKMS di Indonesia Sebelum dan Semasa Pandemi Covid-19

The existence of a Sharia Financial Institution in recent years has become an alternative financial institution for society which is very important in advancing the real sector. This is because Sharia banks play a role in socializing the practice of profit sharing to avoid the practice of usury (interest). However, in 2019 - 2020 there was a virus that hit all countries in the world which caused the economy to decline. The corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic is still causing ongoing problems. Various sectors have also been affected by this outbreak, including Sharia Microfinance Institutions (IKMS). This research aims to test whether there are differences in the Health Level of Sharia Microfinance Institutions at KSPPS BMT SM NU Kramat Tegal before and during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The population of this research is KSPPS BMT SM NU Kramat. The research was tested using the independent sample t-test. The results of this research show that there are significant differences in NPL, LDR, ROA and CAR at KSPPS BMT SM NU Kramat before and during the Covid 19 pandemic. Meanwhile for GCG and NIM there are no significant differences at KSPPS BMT SM NU Kramat before and during the pandemic covid 19.

Motif Tanggung Jawab Sosial Lembaga Keuangan Mikro Syariah dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Syariah

The primary issue addressed in the text is the importance of corporate governance, specifically within Sharia microfinance institutions, in achieving profitability and success. The study emphasizes the role of market share as an indicator of operational success for Sharia microfinance institutions, with a focus on meeting the needs of small communities. This study uses the library research method by extracting data from primary sources such as economics books and Sharia microfinance institutions. Data analysis is carried out using critical analysis and content analysis. The research findings highlight that these institutions use corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a strategic tool to promote their products and services. This, in turn, contributes to an increase in market share by introducing the company to the public. The text suggests that the implementation of CSR by Sharia microfinance institutions is motivated not only by economic considerations, such as marketing and promoting products but also by social motives, including a desire to assist others. In the context of Islamic or Sharia-compliant finance, the study underscores the integration of economic activities with ethical and socially responsible principles. The economic motive is evident in the use of CSR as a marketing tool to reach a wider community and promote financial products. The findings suggest that in the pursuit of economic goals, Sharia microfinance institutions also align themselves with social values by engaging in activities that benefit the broader community. This dual motive reflects the unique intersection of economic and ethical considerations within the framework of Sharia-compliant financial practices.

Customer Loyalty To The Sharia Microfinance Institution In Indonesia

Various studies have identified the correlates of customer loyalty including satisfaction, trust, commitment, involvement, perceived cost, and service quality. This paper aims to describe customer loyalty to the Sharia microfinance institution in Indonesia. The main question developed was whether the customers of this institution have similar drives in maintaining their loyalty in using its services. The study uses qualitative method with a phenomenological approach and descriptive analysis. Data were collected from a series of interviews and focus group discussions with the management and the customers of Bayt al Mal wa al Tamwil Maslahah (BMTM) Sidogiri Pasuruan Indonesia. The study found that customer loyalty to BMTM Sidogiri was characterized by a positive response to and the utilization of products. The positive attitude towards BMTM products was based on the motives of meeting daily needs, business development and the acceptance of sharia values in the form of blessing and economic justice when using the products. In addition, the customer loyalty to BMTM Sidogiri was driven by emotional connection among the alumni of Sidogiri pesantren even though there is no structural connection between BMTM and Sidogiri pesantren. In maintaining its customer loyalty, the BMTM Sidogiri attempts to bring its services closer to the community, opens BMTM branches in other cities and adds new counters to ease customer transaction services. This study suggests that the customer loyalty to the Islamic financial institution is determined by a combination of shariah values acceptance and the fulfilment of daily need as well as business development

MANAJEMAN PENGELOLAAN BANK WAKAF MIKRO DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN EKONOMI UMAT (STUDI BANK WAKAF MIKRO PONDOK PESANTREN AS’AD KOTA JAMBI)

This research is entitled Management of Micro Waqf Banks in Empowering the People's Economy. In this research the Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) is a Sharia Microfinance Institution that is registered and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which aims to provide access to capital services for low-income people who do not yet have access to financial institutions and ease the burden on people who are ensnared by moneylenders. Micro Waqf Banks also play a role in empowering the community and the community of women around Islamic boarding schools by encouraging the development of their businesses through providing loan funds to productive community business groups and community groups that wish to open businesses. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Community Economic Empowerment at As'ad Seberang Micro Waqf Bank Jambi City cannot be said to be good and perfect because there are some customers who use borrowed money not as an additional capital for their business but for other purposes such as paying off debt. costs of daily living, medical expenses and others. This has resulted in the objective of establishing Micro Waqf Banks as an institution that provides access to capital for small communities who do not yet have access to formal financial institutions to empower communities around Islamic boarding schools by encouraging business development through providing loan funds to productive community business groups not being fully achieved. Employee Loyalty Determinants at KSPPS BTM Pekalongan: Job Satisfaction as a Mediating Variable

Many Sharia Microfinance Institutions in Indonesia have the form of KSPPS. Employee loyalty is very important in financial institutions of any kind. Employee loyalty in financial institutions is not only expected to be able to produce satisfactory performance but also to prevent fraud. This research aims to analyze the effect of HR competency and quality of work life on employee loyalty with job satisfaction as a mediating variable in KSPPS BTM Pekalongan employees. This research is field research with a quantitative approach. The population in this research amounted to 192 employees from the entire office network of KSPPS BTM Pekalongan. The sample in this research amounted to 130 employees determined based on the results of the calculation of the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5%. Sampling in this research uses a proportional random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this research used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this research is path analysis. The results showed that HR competency and quality of work life have a significant effect on job satisfaction. HR competency, quality of work life, and job satisfaction have a significant effect on employee loyalty. Job satisfaction mediates the effect of HR competency and quality of work life on employee loyalty.

Peran BMT Al Makmur Dalam Mewujudkan Ketahanan Ekonomi Keluarga Miskin

This study aims to analyze the role of the Sharia Microfinance Institution BMT Al Makmur in efforts to realize the economic resilience of poor families. This type of research is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources are BMT Al Makmur Leaders and Murabahah Financing Customers. Data collection techniques are interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the presence of BMT Al Makmur as a Sharia Microfinance Institution has had a positive impact on realizing economically resilient families by managing family economic risks for the future. Through murabahah financing channeled for the purpose of purchasing gold which is used as a medium for saving money by customers, because it is believed that investment through gold is a safe and profitable investment category. The gold is used as a reserve to anticipate and fulfill needs for the future, such as the need for children's education costs, and to make their own homes.

PERKEMBANGAN LEMBAGA KEUANGAN MIKRO SYARIAH DI TENGAH PERSAINGAN LEMBAGA KEUANGAN SYARIAH BANK DAN NON BANK (Studi kasus (KSPPS) BMT Assyafi'iyah Berkah Nasional Cabang kota Metro )

The establishment of sharia microfinance institutions, one of which is KSPPS BMT Assyafi'iyah Berkah Nasional, as a sharia microfinance institution, clearly has great significance for sharia-oriented economic development. BMT Assyafi'iyah took several steps in order to stand out from its competitors, one of which was selecting staff who might be qualified in their field. By utilizing the Ceria digital application, BMT Assyafi'iyah implemented a plan in an effort to increase consumer confidence in the form of savings. PERAN LEMBAGA KEUANGAN MIKRO SYARIAH DALAM MEMBANGUN EKONOMI YANG BERKELANJUTAN DAN INKLUSIF

The purpose of this study is to look at the role of Islamic Microfinance Institutions in Building a Sustainable and Inclusive Economy. This study uses a library research approach because the data sources come from various literature such as articles, books, and journals from previous studies regarding the role of Islamic Microfinance Institutions in Building a Sustainable and Inclusive Economy. The results of the discussion show: from OJK data (2021) it can be seen that the development of LKMS both in terms of assets, the amount of financing distributed, as well as the public savings that have been collected shows an increasing trend. This means that the existence of LKMS has a significant influence on the pace of sustainable economic development, of course, the realization of inclusive finance. Thus, the role of Islamic microfinance institutions in building a sustainable and inclusive economy in Indonesia proves to be important and relevant. Through an inclusive approach, based on Sharia principles and social and environmental responsibility, Sharia microfinance institutions can become key drivers in achieving sustainable and inclusive economic development goals in Indonesia.

Does The Existence of Sharia Microfinance Institutions Contribute to Agricultural Financing? (Study at BMT Khairul Amin Martapura)

Baitul Mal wa Tamwil (BMT) is a Microfinance institution that boosts the economy in the MSME sector. BMT is expected to reach the agricultural sector. In some cases, capital is still weak in the agricultural sector. The establishment of the BMT Khairul Amin Martapura Rangas River branch is expected to help the community, especially farmers, solve the capital problems. This research is field research using qualitative method approach. In addition to producing qualitative data results, this research uses a simple quantitative approach to strengthen the analysis results by explaining the data with numbers. There are six informants in the study. The results revealed that the existence and accessibility of BMT are pretty good. However, in the agricultural sector, it is still not good because the percentage of farmer customers is only 21.05%, and the financing disbursed is only 35.04%.

Pengembangan Aplikasi Note Non Performing Financing: Monitoring Pembiayaan Bermasalah di KSPPS BTM Pekalongan


 ABSTRACT
 The Sharia Savings and Loans and Financing Cooperative (KSPPS) BTM Pekalongan as a sharia microfinance institution faces the risk of non-performing financing (NPF) which can have a negative impact on its business continuity. This study aims to examine how the development of the Note Non-Performing Financing application as a monitoring of non-performing financing in KSPPS BTM Pekalongan. This research is an exploratory descriptive study using a qualitative research approach. This research is also a research and development research with ADDIE approach model. This research is a combination of field research supported by library research. Sources of data used in the study consisted of primary data sources and secondary data sources. The analysis technique used in this study uses content analysis which will be studied further in a group discussion forum. The results showed that the Non-Performing Financing Note Application at KSPPS BTM Pekalongan is an application in the form of a website-based information system that provides accurate and integrated NPF data at KSPSS BTM Pekalongan. This application has many functions, the main of which is to monitor (supervision) non-performing financing in KSPPS BTM Pekalongan. Later, the monitoring results can be followed up in accordance with the risk management SOP that has been set by KSPPS BTM Pekalongan. This application is expected to minimize the risk caused by non-performing financing at KSPPS BTM Pekalongan.

ANALISIS PENGARUH VARIABEL PEMBIAYAAN MODAL, LAMA USAHA SERTA MODAL SENDIRI TERHADAP PENDAPATAN ANGGOTA PELAKU UMKM

As a sharia microfinance institution that has a function as developing productive businesses and investments to improve the quality of micro, small and medium enterprises, this study aims to examine the effect of variable capital financing, length of business and own capital on the income of customers who are members of the Sharia Financing Savings and Loans Cooperative Baitul Mal wa Tamwil Nurul Barokah Klego branch, Boyolali regency. They are micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the population in this study is 108 with a sample of 52 respondents. Analysis techniques use multivariate regression analysis and use instrument tests which include validity and reliability tests, and descriptive statistical tests of respondents based on sex, based on age, and classical assumption tests include normality tests, multicolleniarity tests, heterokedasticity tests, and multiple linear regression analysis and model permanence tests including coefficients of determination, and hypothesis testing includes t tests, F tests. The results showed that only own capital had a positive effect on MSME income, while capital financing and long time did not affect MSME income, because financing members often took advantage of capital loans not in accordance with loan agreements and lack of innovation to see consumer interest so that it stagnated.

Business Strengthening Strategy in Sharia Microfinance Institutions During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Indonesia Through Digital Literacy

The impact of the pandemic around the world has changed the existing order of life, including in Indonesia. The COVID-19 pandemic has also changed various important sectors in society, one of which is Islamic microfinance institutions. This study aims to identify the strategies adopted by Islamic microfinance institutions to strengthen their business during the pandemic. This study uses a qualitative research type with a phenomenological approach. The research participants were 15 people who directly experienced the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Determination of participants using purposive sampling. The data collection technique used a semi-structured interview guide instrument. The data analysis techniques include data organization, finding meaningful themes, analyzing data, and reporting systematically. The results of the study illustrate that the strategies adopted by Islamic microfinance institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic are (1) making online applications that are easy and accessible to customers; (2) socialization to members through whatapps group and customer contact numbers; (3) providing training to employees in the use of applications; (4) creation of social media to establish communication with customers; (5) making a policy on relaxation of installment payments in the field of customer financing; (6) the obstacles encountered. The limitations of the research on the number of respondents and the type of research selected can be redeveloped with further, broader, and more in-depth research.

Implementation of Relationship Marketing Sharia Perspective In Sharia Microfinance Institutions In Madura

The market share of Islamic banking is still very small, so there needs to be a proper marketing strategy to overcome it, one of which is Sharia relationship marketing. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of sharia relationship marketing at BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Sumenep. The research method used is a descriptive method of quantitative approach. The results showed that BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Sumenep has assimilated sharia relationship marketing quite well, it is shown from the results of respondents' assessment of the dimensions used in the study.

Analisis Nilai-Nilai Spiritual di KSPPS Khidmatul Ummah Bogor

This research is about the Implementation of Spiritual KSPPS Khidmatul Ummah Bogor by using four variables as an analytical tool, namely sharia exemplary, sharia compliance, sharia education and sharia training. The Islamic economic discourse in the field of micro finance has not studied the implementation of Spiritual Intermediation in a holistic manner, even though the difference between Conventional Microfinance Institutions and Islamic Financial Institutions is the Spiritual and Social aspect. This analysis method uses a qualitative research style. The research approach is carried out in two stages, namely pilot research and pre-research. The results of this study are KSPSS Khidmatul Ummah Bogor institutionally is a sharia microfinance institution incorporated as a Sharia Savings and Loans Financing Cooperative Primary Scale District, which is engaged in empowering the poor and unbanked by carrying out social functions in Biatul Maal and business functions (tijari) through Baitul at Tamwil KSPSS Khidmatul Ummah. It is intended to be able to solve the economic problems of the lower middle class community in West Bogor, Bogor Regency. By implementing five pillars in its operations, namely: Alms, Savings, Soft Loans, Financing and Investment. And aspects of spiritual intermediation at KSPPS Khidmatul Ummah Bogor include: it is in accordance with Sharia principles and consistently exemplified by the administrators and managers. Sharia compliance has not been optimized properly. KSPSS Khidmatul Ummah Bogor in carrying out Sharia education and training to internal has been very intense, diverse and programmed. But for the external is not maximal, intense and diverse.
 

BUDAYA ORGANISASI DALAM MEMBANGUN KEMANDIRIAN PONDOK PESANTREN MODERN

This study aims to describe the organizational culture in building the independence of the Modern Islamic Boarding School Al-Kautsar Muhammadiyah Sarilamak Regency of Fifty Cities. This research uses a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used are unstructured interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Then the technique of collecting informants with snowball sampling technique. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, the stages of this model are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and data verification. Meanwhile, to test the validity of the data, the researchers used data triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the organizational culture applied in building the independence of Islamic boarding schools, namely 1) Instilling Islamic values that can increase the independence of students; 2) Applying language days to students; 3) Instilling the values of discipline; 4) Improve work ethic; 5) Forming the entrepreneurial spirit of students; 6) Establish nine business units to build pesantren independence; 7) Establishment of Sharia Microfinance Institutions for community empowerment and pesantren independence

Women's Economic Empowerment Through Sharia Micro-Finance Institutions In Indonesia: A Qualitative Research

Women's empowerment has become an agenda that has recently been put forward and has become one of the essential agendas in sustainable development. One of the common problems women micro-enterprises face is the difficulty of accessing sources of capital. Islamic microfinance institutions are an alternative that can be utilized by women micro-enterprises in Indonesia to overcome the challenges in accessing business capital. This research uses a qualitative approach to study literature and in-depth interviews. The literature study was conducted by selecting relevant papers by accessing the Google Scholar database using the keywords “women empowerment” AND “Islamic microfinance” OR “Islamic microfinance”. The search time range is limited to the last 5 years, namely 2017 to 2022. The literature search results found 19 relevant papers. 4 sharia microfinance institutions are reported to run women's empowerment programs, namely sharia cooperatives, Baitul Mal Wat Tamwil, Zakat Management Organizations, and Micro Waqf Banks. The results of interviews with 20 lecturers of Islamic Economics strengthen the role of Islamic microfinance institutions in women's empowerment programs in Indonesia.

This research is about the sustainability of Baitul Maal wa At Tamwil by using two variables, namely financing growth and human resources. Sharia economic discourse in the field of sharia microfinance institutions is interesting and needs to be developed in encouraging national economic growth, as well as a forum to encourage small entrepreneurs to grow both from their business and the household economy. This study uses a qualitative approach, research that seeks to provide an objective description of the object under study, as well as interpret and give meaning to empirical data in the field. The object of this research is KSPPS Khidmatul Ummah Bogor, which is located in Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency. The results of this study are institutionally KSPSS Khidmatul Ummah Bogor is a sharia microfinance institution incorporated as a Sharia Savings and Loans Financing Cooperative on a Primary Scale District, which is engaged in empowering the poor and unbankable by carrying out social functions in Biatul Maal and business functions (tijari) through Baitul at Tamwil KSPSS Khidmatul Ummah. It is intended to be able to solve the economic problems of the lower middle class community in West Bogor, Bogor Regency. Mudharabah contract financing growth is able to encourage KSPPS Khidmatul Ummah to continue to exist in providing microfinance services to members to the maximum, as well as providing loan services to members with qard hasan contracts as an effort to encourage the growth of member independence. As well as in realizing institutional sustainability, KSPPS Khidmatul Ummah formed Human Resources with the characters of Shiddiiq, Amanah, Tabligh and Fathanah, with routine education methods that are ubudiyah routines and providing religious and muamalah materials to employees.
