П РОГНОЗИРОВАНИЕ И СТРАТЕГИРОВАНИЕ РЕГИОНАЛЬНОЙ СИСТЕМЫ ОБЩЕГО ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ

In this research project of Sevastopol State University (Sevastopol, Russian Federation), an urgent scientific task has been implemented to analyze and predict the effectiveness, as well as strategize the regional system of general education. At the first stage of the study, the criteria and indicators of the effectiveness of the educational organization and the regional education system as a whole were determined. At the second stage, a non-random sample of twelve secondary schools of the city with declining educational performance was formed and analyzed, which amounted to about twenty percent of their total number, as a result of which “problem points” were identified and a forecast of the effectiveness of these educational organizations was built. At the same time, the tools of economic and mathematical modeling were used: correlation and regression analysis, time series analysis, the principal components method and cluster analysis. At the third stage, individual and general strategies have been developed for the sample schools that optimally correspond to the identified “problem points”, in addition, planning for the implementation of the proposed strategies for each of the considered educational organizations has been carried out.

SIGNIFICANCE OF ELECTRONIC EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT WHEN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE FOR STUDENTS’ RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Background. The paper focuses on the urgent problem of foreign language vocational training of prospective specialists and its significance in students’ research activities. Nowadays, the current concept of teaching foreign languages at non-linguistic university training emphasizes the teaching system combining vocational training and language acquisition. In other words, it is crucial to consider the competencies for prospective occupation and the ability of students to use their professional language skills in a dynamically changing environment. Based on the modern standards of higher education, with an emphasis on project and research activities, the programs of teaching foreign languages consider the student’s research activities one of the most important motivation tools for mastering a foreign language. These activities allow students to creatively apply the achievements of scientific and technological progress in practice. Purpose. The aim of the research is to present a description of the structure of the electronic educational environment of the university and to identify the specifics of foreign language teaching for research activities of students. Materials and methods. The competence approach, in particular foreign-language professional-oriented competence, is considered as the methodological basis of the study. Achievement of the set research goal was carried out on the basis of theoretical and methodological analysis, systematisation and generalisation of scientific literature on the given problem. Quantitative indicators were used as an element of describing the dynamics of changes in the educational environment of the university. Using the given methods, the students should obtain foreign language competencies, including the extensive application of electronic educational resources and research skills. We described the approaches to organizing the teaching process, focusing on the concept of a computer-based environment, including electronic educational resources. Results. The experience of Sevastopol State University (Sevastopol, Russia) serves as an example of the positive experience of the electronic educational environment, which underlines the scientific novelty of the study. Practice shows that using an electronic educational environment is essential in engaging students in research activities. Such an environment promotes the formation of creative skills among students and increases the level of their vocational training.

COMMUNICATIVE TOLERANCE FORMATION AT UNIVERSITY: PEDAGOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS

The study explores the establishment of communicative tolerance (CT) as a crucial pedagogical and psychological factor in shaping the communicative competence of prospective professionals. It draws on the examination of various studies conducted by scholars from both domestic and international backgrounds. Objective of the research. The primary goal of this paper is to elucidate the concept of "communicative tolerance" and to devise, validate and apply a pedagogical approach to cultivate CT among future psychologists in EFL university classes. The authors' research introduces a new aspect by defining the core principle of "communicative tolerance" and outlining its structural elements, as well as devising a method for cultivating CT. The experimental study identified three fundamental levels of CT at both the outset and conclusion of the project. The research introduces a novel concept of "communicative tolerance" and provides a clear definition of its structural components, along with the development of a technology for fostering CT. The study identified three levels of CT at both the initial and final stages of the experimental work. Materials and methods utilized in the research included theoretical approaches such as analysis, systematization and generalization of scientific literature, as well as a review of federal documents. Empirical methods like observation and testing, sociological methods such as surveys and questioning, and mathematical and statistical techniques for both quantitative and qualitative data processing were employed. The methodology was based on the General Communicative Tolerance questionnaire by V.V. Boyko, complemented by a series of psychological diagnostic tests. Research results. The study at Sevastopol State University included 35 fourth-year students. By applying educational methods, it was demonstrated that CT levels among students can rise by 14%. This research confirms the importance of continuously enhancing students' critical thinking in a university environment. The practical applications of these findings extend to enhancing the professional skills of educators through additional vocational training, job placement, and on-the-job training programs.

Determination of the optimal concentration of organic fertilizers for the sowing qualities of crops using the example of pumpkin

The research of the effectiveness of the obtained fertilizers impact on the sowing characteristics of pumpkin seeds Cucurbita pepo L. was conducted at the Center for Collective Use "Advanced Technologies and Materials" of the Sevastopol State University. The work provides data on the effect of organic fertilizers based on vermicompost and chicken manure on the sowing qualities of pumpkin seeds. A comparative analysis of the energy of germination and laboratory viability of the seeds, root and sprout growth of the agricultural crop Cucurbita pepo L. was carried out. To compare the results obtained, the certified fertilizers “Power of Growth” and “Riverm” based on vermicompost were taken. The optimal concentration of chicken manure was identified with a concentration of 200 mg per 2 liters based on the germination energy, the values were 87% and the viability 95%. Also, the increase in the sprout length for the fertilizer based on chicken manure was 127.7%, which is 15% more than the “Power of Growth” fertilizer. Test samples based on vermicompost gave negative results: root growth – minus 21.9%, negative shoot growth – minus 6.3%. A method for producing new types of organic fertilizers based on chicken manure, based on the cavitation effect, has been described. An assessment of the effectiveness of using fertilizers for an agricultural crop – pumpkin Cucurbita pepo L. has been made.

Implementation of environmental education in the context of socio-economic development of municipal areas

Eco-friendly processes are sustainability, environmental economics, natural resource management, referring to guidelines and policies that claim no harm upon the environment or ecosystems. The peculiarities of the current situation with the environmental crisis require careful study of not only the technical means of overcoming it, but also taking into account the “human factor”. The purpose of the study is to analyze means of environmental education realisation by psychologists of leading universities in Sevastopol. The implementation ways of Sevastopol socio-economic development strategy until 2030 in the field of environmental education are presented using “Forum theatre” example. In addition to the description of current state of given issues the study was conducted at Sevastopol State University in order to estimate students’ level of environmental education. To help the educators implement a competency-based practice-oriented approach in the process of ecological education the authors presented ‘Forum theatre’ as a method of interactive work among different segments of society aimed at solving social problems. In conclusion it was noted that «Forum theatre” could contribute to sustainable development as a balance between achieving a high level of economic prosperity, social security with mandatory conservation of the state’s natural resources and the environment.

Разработка персонифицированных программ здоровья студентов на основе биоимпедансного анализа состава тела

. The article discusses the problem of implementing one of the priority tasks in the learning process at a higher educational institution – the formation of health-preserving competence in students using individualized methods for assessing health status. Particular attention is paid to one of the advanced methods for diagnosing the health status of the subjects – bioimpedance analysis of body composition. The aim of this study is to develop personalized health programs for students, based on the results of bioimpedance analysis of body composition, and experimental substantiation of the effectiveness of the health program. In order to test the effectiveness of a personalized health program, we conducted a bioimpedance analysis of the body composition of 40 first-year physical education students using the InBody 270 hardware complex. The study was conducted at Sevastopol State University in the 2022–2023 academic year. As a result of performing the analysis at the beginning of the experiment, results were obtained that required adjustment of the students’ anthropometric indicators through the development of personalized health programs. A personalized health program, which lasts one month, includes aerobic, strength and wellness blocks, and consists of the following structural elements: (1) setting the main training goal in accordance with the indicators of bioimpedance analysis of the body; (2) determination of an additional individual request to eliminate deformations of the musculoskeletal system and inclusion in the program of additional sets of exercises that affect the health of students; (3) calculation of daily calorie intake, as well as proteins, fats and carbohydrates in accordance with bioimpedance analysis indicators, training goals and individual additional request; (4) variable blocks of focus of training sessions – aerobic block (aerobics and step aerobics, cardio training, interval training and high-intensity training complexes using the Tabata method), strength block (sets of exercises aimed at strengthening the muscles of the trunk using additional weights or with one’s own weight), and a wellness block aimed at increasing the elasticity of muscles and fascia, joint mobility, as well as relieving psycho-emotional stress. The content of training programs is based on the priority goal and additional individual request. In the study, the authors conclude that personalized health programs have a positive effect on increasing the skeletal muscle mass, reducing and maintaining fat mass, and also effectively influence the proportional development of the body through individual training sessions.

Development of the technological entrepreneurship ecosystem through the implementation the “Startup as a Diploma” program

The evolution of an entrepreneurial ecosystem is intricately linked to the broader tapestry of ecological and biological diversity. As we cultivate innovations to address economic challenges, we must parallel these efforts with a commitment to sustainability. Youth entrepreneurship serves as a vital component of this ecosystem, not only fostering economic resilience through job creation but also promoting practices that respect ecological balance. The “Startup as a Diploma” initiative at Sevastopol State University exemplifies this dual approach by integrating entrepreneurial thinking with ecological awareness. This program encourages students to develop business models that prioritize biodiversity, ensuring that technological advancements harmonize with environmental stewardship. By nurturing these competencies, we can enrich both the entrepreneurial landscape and the ecological framework, facilitating a thriving, sustainable future.

Investigation of water resistance of semi-submersible floating cranes of various designs

The paper considers the effect on water resistance of the movement of a semi-submersible floating crane model on quiet deep water in working and transport positions and different heading angles. The research was conducted in the experimental pool of Sevastopol State University. The performed towing tests of the model made it possible to plot the dependence of the coefficient of impedance on the Froude number. Each of the presented graphs refers to a certain horizontal clearance and heading angle, as well as the number of intermediate stabilization columns. According to the obtained graphs, it is possible to estimate the power of the power plant, mainline and shunting engines of a semi-submersible floating crane of the selected design scheme at the initial stages of design. In the future, it is planned to carry out research to determine the coefficient of additional resistance from the excitement of the considered cases of the hull shape.

The “Turnkey School” project model for teacher team training

This study aims to present a new model of professional training for teachers in educational institutions within the framework of the "Turnkey School" project within the Master of Education degree program at the Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute of Sevastopol State University (SevSU). This study used a controlled research design method to validate the team concept through a proposed model based on the socio-constructivist and contextual paradigms in education. The model involves training in a master's program as part of team building for a new educational institution in which cohort groups are formed based on the specific needs of assigned schools, which are then evaluated by an independent community of experts, as well as with the writing of a final thesis as a result of cohort team collaboration. This study confirms that the cohort group formed through this model shows a better level of maturity and functioning than randomly assigned teachers. These findings support the effectiveness of a Master of Education degree in improving the training and performance of future teachers. This model emphasizes not only the creation of updated educational products but also the self-implementation of those products, which contributes to the overall improvement of educational institutions.

Обучение английскому языку студентов специалитета морского института в электронной образовательной среде вуза

The article is devoted to the topical problem of educational process organization in e-learning university environment. The aim of the study is to describe the experience of teaching the English language to the Marine university students. In this paper the standard structure of the English courses has been introduced, the pedagogical experiment on revealing the efficiency of e-learning English courses focused on the increasing of motivation and formation of foreign language competence of specialist degree students at the Marine university by the example of Sevastopol State University has been represented. The scientific novelty of the research article consists in clarifying the notion “foreign language training of the Marine university students in e-learning educational environment” and identifying the criteria of assessment and levels of formation of foreign language competence of specialist degree students at the Marine university. As a result, the growth of students’ level of foreign language proficiency in the sphere of navigation has been observed owing to the use of e-learning courses. E-learning courses assist the students to increase the understanding of professionally oriented material and improve their skills of working in e-learning university environment.

Скаффолдинг как особый вид педагогической поддержки обучающихся при изучении иностранного языка в электронной образовательной среде вуза

The aim of the study is to reason the usage of scaffolding as a specific kind of pedagogical support in university e-learning environment. The research paper describes the essence, functions, strategies and forms of pedagogical support of students learning a foreign language. The special features of foreign language training e-course based on scaffolding principles of e-learning environment are considered. The efficiency of teaching students according to scaffolding principles to develop foreign language communicative competence is examined by the example of using the e-learning course ‘Empower A2-B2’ in university e-learning environment ‘do.sevsu.ru’. The novelty of this study consists in the definition of the three main forms of scaffolding – individual scaffolding, affiliate scaffolding and computer-based scaffolding. As a result, the e-learning foreign language course ‘Empower A2-B2’ was worked out on scaffolding principles and introduced into the educational process of Sevastopol State University.

The use of educational technologies for the development of students’ axiological potential (based on studying the ethnoculture of the Crimea)

Introduction. The article presents a study on the problem of designing educational activities that contribute to spiritual, moral and patriotic education of the younger generation, aimed at preserving culture, historical memory, and continuity of generations. The purpose of the research is to uncover and prove the capacity of student-centered technologies for the development of students' axiological potential during the study of Crimean ethnoculture. Materials and Methods. The study follows the axiological approach, from which the assessment of the educational capacity of the Crimean ethnoculture for spiritual and moral formation of the individual was made. Psychodiagnostic techniques were used to assess students' understanding of the main indicators of spiritual and moral development. The sample consisted of 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students of the Polytechnic Institute of Sevastopol State University, majoring in Technosphere safety. Results. The article reviews the research on the issues of spiritual and moral education in modern conditions and the problem of developing the axiological potential of the future professional. It should be noted that in modern conditions the problem of creating important life values (citizenship and patriotism, spirituality and morality, respect) are strategic priorities of social development. The authors emphasize that the self-understanding of a person as part of their nation and the formation of historical memory are based on the development of ethnoculture. This study substantiates that the Crimean region is a special socio-cultural platform favorable for the education of new generations on the basis of its specificity, contained in the ethno-cultural heritage. The authors argue that the educational environment of the university, including the use of student-centered technologies, ensures the development of individual’s axiological potential (realizing life purposes, moral meanings and sources of spiritual development). Conclusions. The authors come to the conclusion that developing axiological potential of students on the basis of studying Crimean ethnoculture contributes to the formation of a humanistically oriented personality, ready for intercultural dialogue, open to interaction and cooperation with people of different nationalities and faiths in the single multicultural ethnic society.

ИНТЕГРАЦИЯ LMS MOODLE В ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНЫЙ ПРОЦЕСС, НАПРАВЛЕННЫЙ НА ФОРМИРОВАНИЕ НАВЫКОВ ПРЕПОДАВАНИЯ ESL В ГЛОБАЛИЗИРОВАННОМ МИРЕ: ВОЗМОЖНОСТИ И ПЕРСПЕКТИВЫ

The author presents an innovative approach to form teaching competence of future English language teachers via integrating LMS Moodle. The issues related to the use of LMS Moodle in the educational process to prepare Master’s students on the basis of data obtained at the Sevastopol State University (SSU) are investigated. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficiency of LMS Moodle to develop students’ foreign language teaching skills at the university. The process of development and implementation of the online course “Technologies of Teaching English at the University” at SSU is characterized. The structure and stages of the course are described. The types of tasks to from the methodical competence of Master’s students are considered. To assess the results of the impact of the digital course, the author created a questionnaire and conducted a survey among the teachers who had worked during the pandemic using LMS platform. The LMS platform involves the use of an interactive module designed to master the skills of teaching English. The benefits of using LMS platform in foreign language teaching of future teachers of English were revealed. The results show that the use of the LMS platform in implementing the online course “Technologies of Teaching English at the University” contributes to the development of the methodical competence of Master’s students. The results obtained can help teachers, education specialists to carry out methodical training of future ESL teachers using LMS Moodle.

Development and Implementation of a Remote-Control System for an Unmanned Research Small Vessel

The paper presents the results of the development and implementation of a remote-control system for an unmanned research small vessel, consisting of onboard and coastal control subsystems. The developed system was installed and tested on a small vessel manufactured at the Sevastopol State University. The control system allows the navigator to control the vessel at a distance of 1-2 km, to carry out video surveillance of the situation around the vessel, to control the orientation and location of the vessel. Wi-Fi technology is used to connect the coastal and onboard subsystems. Also, the navigator has the opportunity to control the vessel using a portable hand control panel.

Historical, Cultural, Interethnic, Religious and Political Relations of the Crimea with the Mediterranean Region and the Countries of the East: The Sixth International Academic Conference

The international academic conference “Historical, Cultural, Interethnic, Religious and Political Relations of the Crimea with the Mediterranean Region and the Countries of the East” is an annual major academic symposium, held in Sevastopol, the Crimea. The organizers of the conference include the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Sevastopol State University, the State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve Taurid Chersoneses, traditionally hosting the event. The conference was held in both off-line, and online formats. Within three working days, from October 4 to 6, 2022, a total of more than 150 people took part in it — representatives of more than 30 academic organizations, higher educational institutions, museums. By the beginning of the symposium, were published collected papers by the participants. The book contains the work of researchers from the Russian Federation (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Simferopol, Sevastopol, Kerch), and foreign countries — Germany, Abkhazia, Belarus. The forum consisted of nine sections focusing on interethnic and political relations of the peoples of the Crimea in past and present; political, trade, cultural relations of the Crimea with the countries of the Mediterranean region and the countries of the East; written sources on the history of the region, historiography and cartography of the Mediterranean and Black Sea areas; ethnic history of Crimea, archeology, numismatics and epigraphy of Crimea in the context of economic and cultural relations of the peninsula. As a result of the conference, a resolution was adopted, which noted the importance of holding this event as one of the most significant academic symposia in Sevastopol, and the need to continue the work of the annual conference.

Physiological and psychological factors assessment in the process of professional self-determination

The article deals with physiological (adaptive potential, resistance to hypoxia and stress stimuli) and psycho physiological (level of sociability) factors that contribute to the formation of the student's personality. As part of presented study, first-year students of Sevastopol State University were diagnosed (28 people, of which: 14 girls and 14 boys) according to the following indicators: level of adaptive potential; human resistance to hypoxia; attention and speed of information processing; resistance of a person to the action of stressful stimuli; level of person’s communication skills. A comparative analysis of the components of the adaptive potential of the individual and the levels of psychological well-being among first-year students of a higher educational institution was carried out. The paper also presents the results of a study of first-year students in terms of their sociability (not sociable, average level of sociability, normal sociability, very sociable, hyperactive. Based on the results of given study, a comprehensive description was given to first-year students (the number of students who underwent diagnostics is 28 people). In conclusion the authors say that a high students’ adaptive potential ensures their successful adaptation to the group and learning activities because of appropriate neuropsychic stability, and developed communication skills.

Формирование индивидуальной карьерной траектории выпускника вуза

The article deals with the problems of employment of students after graduation, provides employment schedules for 2021 graduates of Sevastopol State University. The methods of work of the University for solving problems in the field of employment of students and graduates are considered. A model of an individual educational trajectory as a modern method of working with youth is considered. The concept of a «tutor» and their influence on the construction of the career trajectory of students are considered. The authors predict a possible positive effect of the IET model in the educational environment. The Russian system of higher education is one of the largest in the world, and the employment issues are extremely relevant. In the conditions of mass development, the current system of «educational pipe» is not effective due to the dynamically changing labor market. In order to increase the efficiency of the «educational pipe», increase the number of graduates employed in the specialty, which should be both wide and narrow, the education system is in constant search for optimal ways to transform the educational process. We believe that an individual trajectory of employment for each graduate should be introduced into the educational process. In the United States, for example, the standard for many universities is free education, where students study according to open curricula and independently choose courses for study. At Columbia University and the University of Chicago, education is built on the «nuclear program» model. The presented programs imply the formation of an individual employment trajectory for university graduates. In Russian universities, it is also possible to introduce the experience of organizing such methods of training personnel, but taking into account the existing features and difficulties that will be discussed in this study.

Features of perfectionism among future environmental engineers

The purpose of the study is to analyze students’ high demands on themselves and others; the desire to achieve sophistication in everything (especially in work) – perfectionism. Two methods of the research were used: theoretical analysis and diagnostic tests: “The Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale” by P. Hewitt and G. Flatt, one for determining the level of self-efficacy by M. Scheer and J. Maddux in the adaptation of A. V. Boyarintseva, the methodology “Differential test of perfectionism by A.A. Zolotareva”. The students of Sevastopol State University took part in the surveys. The empirical study involved 30 people (students - future environmental engineers). When studying the features of perfectionism, according to the results of the methodology «Multidimensional scale of perfectionism», the levels of perfectionism were equally distributed, namely, half of the sample had low indicators of perfectionism, and the other half had average ones. The results according to the method of A. Zolotareva aimed at studying perfectionism among students show that most of the respondents have a normal type of perfectionism, that is, such students tend to strive for excellence without conflict with other motives.A relationship between personal maturity and perfectionism among students was identified by means of the Pearson correlation coefficient. Recommendations for increasing the level of perfectionism to a constructive one were given due to theoretical analysis and empirical study of the problem of personal maturity and perfectionism among students. In conclusion the authors consider the training program as an integrative personal education, consisting of researching indicators: personal, cognitive-activity, and social components.

Organizational and Pedagogical Modeling of Entrepreneurship Education in Higher Education: Psychological Aspect

The article provides an analysis of approaches to the entrepreneurship education organization at university with an example of an empirical study of its psychological and pedagogical components. The relevance of the student entrepreneurship competencies in all areas of training is due to the request for the implementation of the cross-functional principle in modern management. The basis of such formation is mastering by students of a three-level structure: the competencies fostering the development of an entrepreneur personality, creating projects and entrepreneurial interaction. A systematic understanding of students’ entrepreneurship competencies is reflected in the model of entrepreneurship learning in the framework of the university educational environment, which includes both infrastructural and psychological and pedagogical components that directly affect the personal development of students. The effectiveness of the entrepreneurship education model at the university was evaluated on a sample of 105 students of Sevastopol State University (SevGU). As a key individual psychological competence for the training of an entrepreneurial type specialist, we viewed the degree of responsibility for the results of activities (internality). The assessment of internality was carried out according to the method of diagnosing the level of subjective control, based on the concept of the locus of personality control. Comparison of the degree of responsibility of students was carried out between students majoring in management and students majoring in economics. The redesign of the educational process for management majors based on the model of entrepreneurship education at university created additional opportunities for the purposeful formation of entrepreneurial thinking among students and their development as future entrepreneurial managers. This modification of the organizational and pedagogical conditions was reflected in the results of the study. The value of internality (responsibility) on most of the presented scales is more than twice as high for management students than for economics students . The results of the study confirmed the importance of organizing entrepreneurial education at university for the development of personal qualities inherent in an entrepreneurship behavior model, gaining experience in solving entrepreneurship problems, and increasing the likelihood of successful implementation of professional activities by students.

Organization of the educational discipline «Pedagogical rhetoric» in university

The paper discusses the content and specifics of the discipline Pedagogical rhetoric, which is mandatory in the preparation process of future teachers. The problem of rhetorical skills level associated with training at university, active practical activities, as well as with independent work of students is actualized. The content analysis of the speech training of a future teacher is presented. The purpose of the research is a theoretical substantiation of the pedagogical conditions that contribute to the development of communication principles knowledge in the professional ethics of a teacher, communication technologies in professional interaction. The theoretical significance of the study is that its results complement the scientific understanding of the pedagogical conditions for the effective development of the necessary skills of communicative influence and interaction among students in order to form a successful communicative personality being able to communicate productive in the professional pedagogical field. The results also enrich the theory and methodology of professional education in the field of the oratory and acting skills development of future teachers. Theoretical and methodological basis of the research is personal, individual, culturological, activity, psychodramatic approaches. The experience of teaching the discipline Pedagogical rhetoric at Sevastopol State University is reflected. The features of the organization of classes, the implementation of practical tasks by students, the variety of forms, methods and teaching aids used are presented. The paper emphasizes the importance of providing conditions for the creative activity of future teachers.
