The article introduces the concept of a pedagogically comfortable environment as a factor and a set of favorable conditions and opportunities created for introducing older preschool children to sports activities in a children's sports complex, describes the content and functions of a pedagogically comfortable environment that encourages motor independence, promotes interest in sports activities, and orients children to a sports lifestyle; providing openness and attractiveness for children and their parents (legal representatives), guaranteeing emotional well-being, comfort in interaction between a child-teacher-coach; preserving and maintaining a positive mood of children. The problem of this research is related to the search for ways and means of involving children of senior preschool age in sports activities and determining the pedagogical functionality of a pedagogically comfortable environment.

A Study on Mental Health and Quality of Work Life among teachers Working in Corporate Schools

Mental Health is considered to be an important factor influencing individual’s behaviour, activities, happiness and performance. According to Laddell, “Mental Health is the ability to make adequate adjustments to the environment”. Bhatia (1982) considers it as the ability to balance feelings, desires, ambitions and ideals in one’s daily living. The factor which can contribute to Mental Health is the Quality of work life which is defined as set of favourable conditions and environments of a workplace that supports and promotes employee satisfaction by providing them with rewards, job security and growth opportunities. Therefore, a teacher’s mental health is considered to be an important aspect for an effective schooling system in India and hence, the present study aims to study how quality of work life relates to mental health and its impact on the teachers working in Corporate Schools. The sample for the study consists of 80 teachers who are currently working in different corporate schools. The tools used for this study are Mental Health Inventory (MHI) developed by Dr Jagdish and Dr. AK Srivastava and Quality of Work Life Scale by Dr. Santosh Dhar, Dr. Upinder Dhar and Dr. Rishu Roy.

The Use of Chloroformamidine Hydrochloride as a Reagent for the Synthesis of Guanidines from Electron Deficient Aromatic Amines

In efforts to optimize a manufacturing process for an internal development compound, a clean, efficient approach to guanidine synthesis using chloroformamidine hydrochloride was identified. To investigate the general utility of this methodology towards electron‐deficient aromatic amines, a set of favorable conditions were developed from a series of screens, and the scope of the reaction was probed. The successful application of this chemistry to a variety of pyridines, anilines, and heterocyclic compounds highlights its use as an improved, alternative guanylation method for this often challenging set of aromatic amines.

Reconciling Conservation and Development: A Dynamic Hotelling Model of Extractive Reserves

<i>The instrument of extractive reserves has been advertised as a novel approach to reconciling biodiversity conservation and economic development. The empirical literature analyzing extractive reserves, however, delivers an ambiguous assessment of its success. This paper asks whether extractive reserves are capable of delivering long-term development benefits, even in theory. The analysis is carried out by assessing the long-run viability of an extractive reserve under a set of favorable conditions, through a dynamic model of spatial competition. We show that for extractive reserves to be even theoretically viable, a number of restrictive conditions have to be fulfilled.</i> (JEL Q32)

The Limits of Design: Explaining Institutional Origins and Change

Political scientists have paid much more attention to the effects of institutions than to issues of institutional origins and change. One result has been a marked tendency to fall back on implicit or explicit functional accounts, in which the effects of institutions explain the presence of those institutions. Institutional effects may indeed provide part of such an explanation. Yet the plausibility of functional accounts depends upon either a set of favorable conditions at the design stage or the presence of environments conducive to learning or competition. Exploring variability in the relevant social contexts makes it possible to both establish the restricted range of functional accounts and specify some promising lines of inquiry into the subject of institutional origins and change.

Intensités des pluies en zones à relief : Premiers résultats sur un transect alpin de forte densité

For regional estimations of floods, both rough models and station-data transfers are used. They all need local rain estimations. On relief basins, and even with only smooth hills, the rain statistical distributions present high micro-climatic variations, resulting from ''air-relief'' interactions. Generally, the rain-recorder network cannot be dense enough to allow a sufficient accurate mapping. Rain-radar seems to be a promising tool, but not yet operating. Using a set of favourable conditions (three parallel chains, increasing altitude, main rainy wind parallel, radar sustain...) , a permanent laboratory was created East of Lyon, in an ''ERB'' (European Reference Basin) spirit. Its economic feasibility was obtained by one-dimension (transect) structure, where a very high and sufficient density is possible, and surrounded by an ordinary regional rain-gauge network of medium density level. The atmosphere characteristics are obtained with the ordinary radio-sondages, eventually completed with interpolated data from meteorological forecasting models. The minimal time-path is one minute. The analysis of the first observations show, even for short time-paths, a very high level of a real structure, thus a probable possibility of a conceptual modelizing.
