Thе article is dedicated to the study of the state of implementation by the public authorities of Ukraine of processes related to the integration of the state into Euro-Atlantic cooperation and security structures. It is noted that in the modern social life of Ukraine, there are rare facts when the issue of the Euro-Atlantic integration of the state is often used by the political structures of Ukraine in the internal political game as a means of receiving regular portions of international aid. Thus, there may be threats of a decrease in attractiveness for investments of Western European capital in the economic sphere of Ukraine. Since, under the conditions of political instability and many negative political campaigns in Ukraine, the above may lead to the threat of deepening multifaceted differences in society, consolidation of relevant misunderstandings, etc., therefore, there is an urgent need to encourage the completion of the ongoing reforms in Ukraine on the model of developed democratic states, which ensured b the inevitability of the initiated changes and the chosen course of further development of Ukraine.Attention is focused on the fact that the successful implementation of the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine depends on the successful implementation of the powers of the public authorities to implement relevant reforms in the state, on the proper implementation of the relevant recommendations provided by the European partners. The article draws attention to the conditions that precede Ukraine’s integration into the EU and NATO and provides for the implementation of criteria that directly affect the domestic political sphere. It is noted that one of the main tasks facing our state is the construction of an effective system of preventing and countering corruption in the country, as this phenomenon is one of the main threats to national security. It undermines the financial system, public trust in the state, as well as the ability of civil servants to protect national interests through the use of office for personal enrichment. It is emphasized that the issue of the reform of the country’s security sector remains incomplete, primarily in terms of reforming the Security Service of Ukraine as the main subject of this sector. In addition, one of the main criteria that determines the country’s readiness to join such authoritative and desirable world institutions for Ukraine is the proper functioning of the law in the country. The expression of such functioning is the so-called “legal security”, the essence of which is reduced to legal protection (legal security) of the vital interests of objects of legal security (natural and legal entities), from all kinds of negative influences, their prevention, parrying, in other words, minimization legal factors of risks, challenges, dangers and threats. Attention is drawn to the fact that the issue of combating money laundering and the implementation of law enforcement reforms, which provide for compliance with the legislation on combating money laundering, remains relevant for Ukraine; the problem of the presence of facts of pressure on journalists; the spread of so-called “dark people”, which is a negative political and legal influence on the activities of the media. It is noted that the formation of a reliable system for ensuring the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in Ukraine is urgent, which is closely related to the establishment of effective work and development of the system of state authorities, which are directly tasked with protecting human rights. At the same time, the specifics of the current situation in Ukraine provide for the implementation of two sets of measures, one of which is aimed at reforming individual state authorities, in particular, it is about judicial reform, and improving the institution of the ombudsman, i.e., the mechanisms for ensuring the rule of law. In connection with the above, it is emphasized that it is expedient to use a little-used but more accurate expression in Ukraine – the functioning of the “rule of law” in Ukraine, which is the foundation of a civilized society.
