Application of cloud computing technology in enterprise resource management

The progress of intelligent manufacturing has made enterprise resource planning (ERP) an essential core technology in the field of intelligent manufacturing. In the process of technology development, enterprises have been looking for a more optimized ERP architecture, and cloud-based ERP is one of the practical and efficient solutions. However, for the application of cloud computing in ERP, the current summary analysis based on this field is not comprehensive enough. In this paper, a comprehensive examination of the real-world implementation of cloud computing in ERP is conducted. It delves into the practical utilization and transformation of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Model View Controller (MVC) within the context of ERP, while also providing an overview of the merits and drawbacks of SOA technology. At the same time, it summarizes the concept of layering and the practical application of cloud computing in different layers for human resource management system of enterprises. In addition, this paper summarizes the practical applications and development prospects of cloud computing in enterprise resource management, such as resource sharing and virtualization. Finally, the paper summarizes the full text, and puts forward a summary and prospect of the combination and future development of cloud computing and enterprise resource management.

Sharing and Cooperation of Improved Cross-Entropy Optimization Algorithm in Telemedicine Multimedia Information Processing.

In order to improve the efficiency of medical multimedia information sharing, this paper combines cloud computing technology and SOA (service-oriented architecture) technology to build a medical multimedia information sharing system. Building a medical information sharing platform requires integrating information resources stored in information systems of medical institutions and nonmedical information systems related to medical information and forming a huge resource pool. It is important to mine and analyze the information resources in the resource pool to realize the sharing and interaction of medical information. To this end, this paper proposes a gain-adaptive control algorithm with online adjustable parameters and investigates the extension of the mutual entropy optimization algorithm in the control domain and its integrated processing capability in the process of medical multimedia information processing. In addition, this paper constructs a medical multimedia information sharing and collaboration platform with medical multimedia information sharing and telemedicine as the core and verifies the effectiveness of the platform through experiments. The simulation results and comparison results with other systems prove that the system in this paper can realize fast data processing, retrieve and analyze massive data, and meet the demand of remote intelligent diagnosis under the premise of safety and stability. Meanwhile, the system in this paper can help hospitals achieve fast and accurate diagnosis, which has strong theoretical and practical values.

Integrating recurrent neural networks and reinforcement learning for dynamic service composition

In the service oriented architecture (SOA), software and systems are abstracted as web services to be invoked by other systems. Service composition is a technology, which builds a complex system by combining existing simple services. With the development of SOA and web service technology, massive web services with the same function begin to spring up. These services are maintained by different organizations and have different QoS (Quality of Service). Thus, how to choose the appropriate service to make the whole system to deliver the best overall QoS has become a key problem in service composition research. Furthermore, because of the complexity and dynamics of the network environment, QoS may change over time. Therefore, how to adjust the composition system dynamically to adapt to the changing environment and ensure the quality of the composed service also poses challenges. To address the above challenges, we propose a service composition approach based on QoS prediction and reinforcement learning. Specifically, we use a recurrent neural network to predict the QoS, and then make dynamic service selection through reinforcement learning. This approach can be well adapted to a dynamic network environment. We carry out a series of experiments to verify the effectiveness of our approach.

From lens to screen and everything in-between: Mastering the media supply chain by embracing service-oriented architectural approaches

Rapid technological developments in the media space are affecting not only the type of content being created, but also how it is delivered, to what kind of devices, and the type of monetisation gateway under which the content may fall. This is happening against the backdrop of significant mergers and acquisitions, as well as the entrance of a bevy of new players. This constantly shifting hyper-heterogeneous media landscape calls for a top-down, comprehensive approach that borrows from best practices in supply chain management. To accomplish this, media must look to other industries and adopt similar approaches to system management and integration. These include adhering to the principles of service-oriented architecture (SOA), and adopting specific technologies to enable this approach, including middleware integration and automation platforms such as enterprise service bus (ESB). This paper describes the supply chain challenges, how adopting SOA and related technologies can solve them, and how this will help meet the challenges that will undoubtedly arise in the coming years.

Research on the mobile assistant decision-making system based on service-oriented architecture for transport accident rescue

As for the problems of car rescue scheduling delay caused by the information separation from traffic accident rescue departments, the service-oriented architecture technology has been adopted to integrate the information systems in related rescue departments within the transport accident region after the deep analysis of information characteristics of rescue departments. A transport accident rescue model with the acquisition and processing of information has been established, and the methods of the optimal resource scheduling and the optimal path selection in the process of rescue have been proposed. Meanwhile, with the support of Web Service and Android, a mobile assistant decision-making system based on service-oriented architecture for transport accident rescue has been designed, and the effectiveness and feasibility of rescue planning of assistant decision-making have also been demonstrated by examples. The research not only provides theoretical basis for the traffic management departments to make a reasonable rescue planning but also greatly improves the efficiency of transport accident rescue.

Service Oriented Architecture enabling the 4th Generation of District Heating

The 4th Generation of District Heating (4GDH) is a complex agglomeration of heat providers, distributors, and consumers that must be automatically, continuously managed and coordinated. It is a complex system of systems; a definition which we align to Maier's architecting principles for systems-of-systems as collaborative systems. Wrapped in the idea of system of systems is the reality that the 4GDH systems’ descriptions and specifications are not currently all known. Nonetheless, the transition into the 4GDH is actual. We propose the use of two frameworks to secure a smooth metamorphosis and assure systems’ operation, maintenance, and evolution. The two frameworks are the Arrowhead Framework and the OPTi Framework. The first one enables system integration through Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the second one offers the overall system optimization with respect to all stakeholders. This paper uses the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool SysML to model a district heating complex's structures and behaviors from the concept level down to the sensors and actuators within a district heating substation where we apply the SOA technology based on the open Arrowhead Framework. We focus on the Arrowhead Framework's core services, i.e. Service Registry, Authorization and Orchestration to clearly describe the interactions between the different service providers and consumers. Going back up from the sensors to the systems, it is clear that SOA is the architecture that will empower the 4GDH.

Development of a framework to evaluate service-oriented architecture governance using COBIT approach

Nowadays organizations require an effective governance framework for their service-oriented architecture (SOA) in order to enable them to use a framework to evaluate their current state governance and determine the governance requirements, and then to offer a suitable model for their governance. Various frameworks have been developed to evaluate the SOA governance. In this paper, a brief introduction to the internal control framework COBIT is described, and it is used to show how to develop a framework to evaluate the SOA governance within an organization. The SOA and information technology expert surveys are carried out to evaluate the proposed framework. The results of this survey verify the proposed framework.

Business and Technological Aspects of the Web Services

The subject of the web services such as Semantic Web and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) has received a great deal of attention among practitioners as well as academics for last decade. The growing popularity of the Semantic Web and SOA has opened up exciting opportunities not only for the businesses but also for the web developers looking for best results in the e-commerce environment. Based on the literature study, a description of the state of the SOA and Semantic Web infrastructures are investigated. The fundamental technologies of SOA and semantic web technology were discussed and the benefits, advantages, limitations from a business perspective were illustrated. Lastly, Some criticism for applying SOA and semantic web technology also discussed after the investigation.

Enabling a ubiquitous and cloud manufacturing foundation with field-level service-oriented architecture

A shift in manufacturing paradigms from centralised to decentralised IT architectures has seen the advancement of cyber physical manufacturing systems towards more interoperable ecosystems with service-oriented architecture (SOA) through ubiquitous and cloud technology. Sociologically decentralised interoperability between systems enables collaboration for local goal satisfaction and global system operation, where synergies can be created by parallel computation and interaction. Economically, SOA technology promotes dynamic reconfigurability, providing manufacturers quick responsiveness to market changes and disturbances, and ultimately enabling enterprises to stay competitive in the marketplace. This reconfigurable nature in decentralised systems is paramount, as entities are no longer bound by strict proprietary peer-to-peer interactive relationships, as data is freely replicable and dispersible throughout a network. Subsequently, from reconfigurability comes the flexibility to provide for environment change, promote system extensibility and allow for the incorporation of legacy technology and the integration of future technology. The focus of this research is to capture the state-of-the-art in field-level SOA approaches in the context of enabling a foundation for ubiquitous and cloud enterprise for manufacturing. The reviewed systems include; the industrial standard OLE for process control–unified architecture (OPC-UA), the emergent universal factory floor communication protocol MTConnect, the National Instrument Shared Variable Engine (SVE) and the data interoperability specification DPWS. The aim of this work is to provide an introduction to SOA systems, modelling techniques and enterprise integration; to provide a comparative topological review of the different field-level manufacturing SOAs; and outline state-of-the-art developments in manufacturing SOA research, contextualised under ubiquitous and cloud enterprise for manufacturing.

Data integration of cost materials needs through a service oriented architecture (study case: pt x garment ungaran)

Data processing is an important part of a garment company. With increasingly complex and developing a garment company, data processing and integration became a very important requirement. The need for data integration in determining the cost of materials becomes a very important part in the garment industry. Data distribution or dissemination from one to another section gives results in data duplication, so that it may cause the data to be inconsistent. In addition, the efficiency of the process in determining the cost of materials is highly needed to achieve the selling price determination target. Nowadays, there is web-based technology, which is capable of handle data integration service, called SOA (Service Oriented Architecture). Business processes (work flows) involving the supplier need to go back to the supplier with the output price that has been determined by the system, can be integrated with Web service with concentration of BPELSOA. By utilizing the SOA technology then data processing and integration problems that occurred in the garment industry could be made into an integrated information system, so that the problems in the garment industry can be solved.

Developing a Framework for Evaluating Service Oriented Architecture Governance with Approach COBIT

Todays, organizations need an effective governance framework for their service-oriented architecture (SOA) so that they can use the framework to evaluate their current state governance, determine the requirements of governance, and then provide a suitable model for their governance. So far, various frameworks to evaluate the governance of SOA are presented. In this paper, after a brief introduction of the internal control framework COBIT, in order to provide a framework for evaluating SOA governance within the organization, how to use of this framework with a six-level maturity model provided by the Software Engineering Institute that COBIT apply it to carry out comparative studies and identify necessary improvements in the field of information technology, is provided. Finally, to evaluate the proposed framework, SOA and information technology experts’ survey was done and the results show that the proposed framework is verified.

The Cyber Physical Implementation of Cloud Manufactuirng Monitoring Systems

The rise of the industrial internet has been envisaged as a key catalyst for creating the intelligent manufacturing plant of the future through enabling open data distribution for cloud manufacturing. The context supporting these systems has been defined by Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) that facilitate data resource and computational functions as services available on a network. SOA has been at the forefront EU research over the past decade and several industrially implemented SOA technologies exist on the manufacturing floor. However it is still unclear whether SOA can meet the multi-layered requirements present within state-of-the-art manufacturing Cyber Physical Systems (CPS). The focus of this research is to identify the capability of SOA to be implemented at different execution layers present in a manufacturing CPS. The state-of-the-art for manufacturing CPS is represented by the ISA-95 standard and is correlated with different temporal analysis scales, and manufacturing computational requirements. Manufacturing computational requirements are identified through a review of open and closed loop machine control orientations, and continuous and discrete control methods. Finally the Acquire Recognise Cluster (ARC) SOA for reconfigurable manufacturing process monitoring systems is reviewed, to provide a topological view of data flow within a field level manufacturing SOA.

Rule-based peer-to-peer framework for decentralised real-time service oriented architectures

Modularity has been a key issue in the design and development of modern embedded Real-Time Software Systems (RTS) where modularity enables flexibility with respect to changes in platform, environment, and requirements, as well as reuse. In distributed RTS, similar ideas have led to the adoption of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components integrated via Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles and technologies that are already well-established in business-oriented information systems. However, current SOA technologies for orchestration, such as Enterprise Service Busses, do not meet strict time-dependent constraints on scalability and latency required by RTS.We present a novel approach to RTS development where the orchestration of real-time processes is decentralised among the services within a fully distributed rule-driven process framework. Our framework wraps around COTS components implementing individual processing steps in a decentralised real-time process. Our execution model incorporates real-time constraints and is configurable through message routing policies distributed as a knowledge base containing rule sets, and therefore dispenses with the need for a central orchestration component which could easily become a bottleneck. Deterministic behaviour can be achieved through the validation of the rule-sets and the use of Modular Performance Analysis (MPA).We analyse the performance of our architecture using the Real-Time Calculus and show by empirical evaluation that our method scales to a typical real-time process application found in a tactical naval combat system context.

Privacy Protection for Role-Based Access Control in Service Oriented Architecture

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) changes the way of conducting business by opening their services/information to the larger business world over the networks. However, properties of and interoperable of SOA make privacy security a sensitive issue since this architecture combines unknown individuals and individuals systems together. In SOA, service providers limit the permission of access to specific authorized individuals only, so they have to verify these individuals' identity information to decide if permission should be granted or not. On the other hand, access requestors are not willing to disclose their privacy in an open system to unknown parties. In this thesis, we present cryptography-based protocols to solve this issue of conflict. Our protocols are proposed for Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), which is a most popular access control methodology, in SOA environment. In addition, our protocols are compatible with current SOA standards and technologies such as XACML and SOAP.

Research on Mechanical System Design Based on Service-Oriented Architecture

The mechanical system design method based on the Service Oriented Architecture was proposed through the service-oriented architecture technology and mechanical system design theory analysis .The machine arm system design finite element analysis process was presented. Based on the TomCat platform design, Service oriented architecture design of the robot arm system design based on finite element analysis process were established. Service-oriented architecture (SOA)concepts and implementations

This tutorial explains how to implement a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) for reliable systems using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies. The first half of the tutorial describes terms of Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) including service, service registry, service provider, service consumer, Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Representational State Transfer (REST), and Web Service Description Language (WSDL). Several examples of REST and SOAP web services are provided using the Ada Web Server (AWS). This tutorial also presents principles of SOA including loose coupling, encapsulation, composibility of web services, and statelessness of web services. The tutorial covers the benefits of SOA and organizations that are supporting SOA infrastructure. The second half of the tutorial covers Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies including definitions, capabilities, benefits and drawbacks. The tutorial discusses the difference between SOA and an ESB, as well as some of the commercially available ESB solutions on the market. The Mule ESB is explored in more detail and several examples are given. Several examples of using an ESB in a SOA application are given using AWS as an Ada implementation. An AWS server is built in the examples and connected to the ESB providing REST and SOAP web services. AWS allows the developer to expose services in a high-integrity system using the Ada and SPARK programming languages. This tutorial is slightly different than the one given at Ada Europe 2008 in that it will focus more on the application of SOA and ESB technology to reliable, high-integrity systems. All tutorial material will be provided to attendees and the opportunity for hands-on participation in examples will be possible.

Design of an E-Learning Based on Service Software Bus
