Abstract Considering considerable contents of vanadium and tungsten in spent SCR DeNO x catalysts, separation and recovery ofthose metals are required. In this respect, commercial anion exchange resin (MP600) was employed to recover vanadiumfrom the synthetic solution of ammonium metavanadate. Experimental results indicated that vanadium exist as anion under theacidic condition (pH 2 ~ 6) and adsorbed on the resin. Although the adsorption rate was increased with temperature, themaximum amount of adsorption was not affected by temperature. Desorption took place under either strong acidic (less thanpH 1) or strong caustic (higher than pH 13) condition. However, desorption seldom took place under moderate conditions * Received : November 27, 2012·Revised : December 13, 2012·Accepted : December 21, 2012Corresponding Author : Choon Han (E-mail: chan@kw.ac.kr)Chemical engineering, Kwangwoon University, 447-1, Wolgye-Dong, Nowon-Gu, Seoul, 139-701, KoreaTel : +82-2-940-5175 / Fax : +82-2-909-0667ⓒThe Korean Institute of Resources Recycling.
