The 7th edition of the NanoInnovation, Conference and Exhibition, has been held in September 19-23, 2022, hosted as usual in the Renaissance Cloister by Giuliano da Sangallo of the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of SAPIENZA University of Rome (Italy). The conference was mainly held in presence while keeping the opportunity of remote participation through the already established infrastructure in order to favor a larger audience and to support participants with difficulty in travelling.NanoInnovation is the well-established main Italian meeting for the wide and multidisciplinary community involved in the development of nanotechnologies and their integration with other key enabling technologies (KETs), in all application fields. The event aims to involve the scientific, industrial, and business communities in an open and free discussion environment, where researchers, technologists, managers, entrepreneurs and investors can share experiences, opinions and expectations about the role of nanotechnologies for future innovations. As in the already established protocol, the Conference, exploiting the strong bottom-up character, was co-organized with the support of in cooperation with the major Italian players in nanotechnology coming both from the public and academic research and from the industrial sector. In this edition, 20 co-organizers contributed to the success of the initiative by supporting the organization and by proposing interesting and timely themes where to concentrate the presentations and the debate. The conference, which was held in a hybrid way, with speakers and attendant both in presence and remotely connected, has attracted fellow researchers, academicians, and industry professionals recording more than 1700 registered participant with 887 attendants in presence. The dense programme of NanoInnovation 2022 was managed by 77 chairs and included the talks by more than 500 speakers, 1 opening session, 1 round table, 2 scientific plenary sessions, 4 parallel scientific lectures, 61 technical thematic symposia, 8 scientific multi-sessions workshops, 2 Guest events, 3 special events, 4 joint events, 3 schools, 1 update training organized in collaboration with Ordine degli Ingegneri della Provincia di Roma, 80 posters in a dedicated session and 1 NEST prize for young researchers. NanoInnovation 2022 could rely on 7 supporters and 14 institutional and scientific patronages.
