Non-sentinel lymph node metastases risk factors in patients with breast cancer with one or two sentinel lymph node macro-metastases

Approximately 59 % of patients with breast cancer with one or two sentinel lymph nodes (1–2 SLN) macrometastases do not benefit from axillary lymph node dissection (ALND), which may also incur morbidities. It is necessary to evaluate the association between various clinicopathological characteristics and non-sentinel lymph node metastases (non-SLNM) in patients with breast cancer with 1–2 SLN macrometastases, and determine whether they 1–2 should avoid ALND. Eight electronic literature databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Scientific Journal, Wanfang, and Chinese Biomedical Literature) were searched from their inception to June 30, 2023, and two reviewers independently extracted the data and assessed the risk of bias. Association strength was summarized using odds ratios (OR) and 95 % confidence intervals (CI). Heterogeneity was accounted for using a subgroup analysis. Publication bias was evaluated using funnel plots and Egger's test. There were 25 studies with 8021 participants, and 27 potential risk factors were evaluated. The risk factors for non-SLNM in patients with 1–2 SLN macrometastatic breast cancer include the following: factors of primary tumor: multifocality (OR (95 % CI (2.63 (1.96, 3.54))), tumor size ≥ T2 (2.64 (2.22, 3.14)), tumor localization (upper outer quad) (2.06 (1.23, 3.43)), histopathological grade (G3) (2.45 (1.70, 3.52)), vascular invasion (VI) (2.60 (1.35, 4.98)), lymphovascular invasion (LVI) (2.87 (1.80, 4.56)), perineural invasion (PNI) (3.16 (1.18,8.43)). Factors of lymph nodes: method of SLNs detected (blue dye) (3.85 (1.54, 9.60)), SLN metastasis ratio ≥0.5 (2.79 (2.24, 3.48)), two positive SLNs (3.55, (2.08, 6.07)), zero negative SLN (3.72 (CI 2.50, 4.29)), extranodal extension (ENE) (4.69 (2.16, 10.18)). Molecular typing: Her-2 positive (2.08 (1.26, 3.43)), Her-2 over-expressing subtype (1.83 (1.22, 2.73)). Factors of examination/inspection: axillary lymph nodes (ALNs) positive on imaging (3.18 (1.68, 6.00)), cancer antigen 15-3 (CA15-3) (4.01 (2.33,6.89)), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) (2.13 (1.32–3.43)). This review identified the risk factors for non-SLNM in patients with 1–2 SLN macrometastatic breast cancer. However, additional studies are needed to confirm the above findings owing to the limited number and types of studies included.

Analisis kemampuan komunikasi (Communication Skill) mahasiswa dalam praktik mengajar peer teaching

Communication skills have a crucial role in the context of education, especially in the practice of teaching peer teaching in tertiary institutions. This study aims to analyze problems in the communication skills of prospective teacher students when practicing peer teaching in explaining skills. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with data analysis based on scientific journal literature studies and direct observation. The research was conducted on prospective teacher students who carried out peer teaching practices at Jakarta State University. The results of the study show that most of the prospective teacher students face problems in communication skills when practicing peer teaching. These problems include a lack of emphasis on intonation and articulation, as well as a lack of context in providing examples or illustrations of material. The suggested solution is the use of learning media that can improve the communication skills of prospective teacher students in explaining the material. This research is expected to provide insight for future researchers to develop the communication skills of prospective teacher students in the context of teaching practice.

Management is an important factor in managing an institution, one of which is educational institutions, namely Islamic boarding schools. Islamic boarding school education management has characteristics that are in accordance with Islamic religious teachings and aims to instill Islamic religious values. Islamic boarding schools, as Islamic educational institutions, face challenges in the development of society and students. This challenge will be easy to face with pesantren education management. This article aims to describe pesantren education management. The method used in this research is the library research method. Data was collected using documentation techniques from scientific journal article literature published online. Data analysis techniques using content analysis techniques, or content analysis, Islamic boarding school education management is management that examines the management and planning of Islamic boarding schools in implementation with the aim of empowering students and the community. Islamic boarding school education management also examines related actions or a system related to the change and development of Islamic boarding schools. Changes and developments occur due to environmental factors.

Efektifitas Audit Internal Syariah di Perbankan Syariah

The main objective of this study is to determine the most effective factors that can play an important role in increasing the effectiveness of Islamic internal audit in the Islamic banking industry. This research is a qualitative method using scientific journal literature searches, and data collection was carried out using the Emerald online database. Sharia banking was established which has the aim of increasing economic activity in accordance with sharia principles, there is no usury, speculation, maysir, gharar and other activities that have been prohibited in sharia. Sharia internal audit is a way to maintain and ensure the integrity of Islamic financial institutions in implementing sharia principles. The existence of sharia internal audit for Islamic banking, provides assurance and independent accountability for stakeholders. the competence of the internal auditors is not enhanced, especially competencies related to the auditor's knowledge of muamalah sharia/fiqh or sharia audit which can be proven by holding a sharia-related certification. In carrying out their duties as an internal auditor, they must have competency qualifications to know and understand how the actual condition of sharia principles is so that they can identify if a violation occurs that is not in accordance with sharia principles both in transactions and operations.

PERAN GURU PAI MENGATASI KESULITAN SISWA DALAM LITERASI AL-QUR�AN

This article is motivated by the phenomenon of the students of SMPN Satap-1 Kamipang in the form of difficulties in literacy, namely reading and writing the Qur'an, it is necessary to explore how the role of PAI teachers in overcoming the difficulties of these students. For this reason, this article aims to look at the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in overcoming the difficulties of students in al-Qur'an literacy at the junior high school level. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data obtained from scientific journal literature, books, and interviews with a PAI teacher and several students of SMPN Satap-1 Kamipang. The data collection technique was carried out by purposive sampling. The results of the study found that the role of PAI teachers was to overcome students' difficulties in al-Qur'an literacy at SMPN Satap-1 Kamipang. Among them are, motivators (providing enthusiasm and motivation), Counselors (providing understanding to students), Observatory (knowing students' abilities in al-Qur'an literacy), facilitators (providing direct guidance), informers (providing information and directives), and evaluator (give an assessment).Keywords: Literacy of the Al-Qur�an, Student Difficulties, The Role of Islamic Education Teachers

The Impact of the Covid-19 Crisis on the Serbian Economy - Consequences and Recovery

The subject of this paper is the analysis of the consequences of the corona crisis on the Serbian economy, observed from the perspective of individual sectors and small and medium enterprises. The study assumes that pandemic business conditions did not affect all segments of the economy equally. Some sectors are directly affected by the crisis, while in others there is no direct impact, but there is a possibility of subsequent consequences. The aim of this paper is to identify the most sensitive segments of the economy, as well as to assess the effectiveness of measures taken with the intention to mitigate the effects of the crisis and provide support to those segments of the economy. Desk-research method was used in the paper, primarily analyzing papers and publications from scientific journal and other professional literature, as well as official data, databases and reports of relevant institutions. In conclusion, the authors state that it is extremely difficult to predict the pace at which the Serbian economy will recover from the crisis, especially under the assumption that the pandemic may continue. Recovery from the crisis is determined by a number of factors: measures that the state will implement in the upcoming period, the company's ability to adapt to new business conditions, the pace of vaccination, the further course of the pandemic, events in the environment.

Plant modeling to predict the growth of eucalyptus plantation: A review

The development of wood processing industry has made the eucalyptus plantation a promising alternative for its raw materials. This because a potentially valuable of the eucalyptus plantation can be used from the root to the leaves. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to have research and the monitoring approach to evaluate in terms of quantity and quality. Through innovation and technology development, various simulations or modeling can be applied to visualize the growth conditions of eucalyptus plantations, so it helps us to know what variables or factors affect its growth and also for estimating the yield requirement. This research aims to collect and conduct a review of the scientific journal literature about the simulation or modeling of eucalyptus plantation to predicting growth itself. Hopefully, this paper can be further consideration for determining policies based on the conditions encountered, so that can be resolved optimally.

Current Status and Contemporary Academic Perspectives of Comparative Literature in Slovakia

The paper seeks to offer an expert examination and brief overview of the development of Literary Comparison as a separate scientific discipline in the Slovak Republic, to present its current status and to consider the possibilities for its further realization in the future. The beginnings of Literary Comparison understood as a methodological paradigm in Slovakia can be traced back to the early works of Mikuláš Bakoš from the early second half of the twentieth century, whose primary researches are in the domain of historical poetics, formalism and structuralism. Decades later, the well-known Slovak theorist Dionýz Ďurišin reflects, and at the same time creatively shapes the postulates of his papers by building on his already well-known theory of special inter-literary communities, inter-literary centers and of characteristics of the inter-literary process. Drawing on national literature as a concept, Dionýz Ďurišin develops a whole theoretical model of rethinking world literature, and his terminological categories also inspire the academic sculptor Ludwig Korkoš, who “revives” them in an artistic way in the nineties of the 20th century. Today, in the Slovak Republic there is a Center for Research on the Heritage of Dionýz Ďurišin at the Faculty of Pedagogy at Comenius University Bratislava under the leadership of prof. Maria Bátorová; while the subject of Literary Comparatics is taught as a compulsory subject at the Faculty of Arts at the same University in Bratislava under the guidance of prof. Zvonko Taneski, and also an elective at the Universities “Constantine the Philosopher” in Nitra, “Matej Bel” in Banska Bystrica and “Pavol Jozef Šafárik” in Prešov. In 2015, the Czech-Slovak Association for Comparative Literature was formed, which recently became a full member of the International Association for Comparative Literature AILC / ICLA. The Slovak headquarters of the Association are at the Institute of World Literature at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and the president of the Slovak section of the same Association is prof. Róbert Gáfrik. The Association organizes domestic scientific conferences and congresses and regularly participates in appropriate scientific symposia abroad. In the last decade new representative collections have been published devoted to literary comparison in several academic centers in Slovakia. A good platform for presenting and publishing new posters from comparative literary science has become the prestigious scientific journal World Literature Studies, which is periodically published by the Institute of World Literature in Bratislava, and its status and prospects are growing as the magazine is registered, i.e. indexed in several important world scientific databases.

Review of Micrencapsulation: A Review A Novel Approach in Drug Delivery

Microencapsulation is the enveloping of liquid droplets or fine solid particles to form microcapsule, having an average diameter as small as 1 μm to several hundred micrometers. Microencapsulation technology is of interest to a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical, food, agricultural, biotechnological, cosmetic and other industries with various significant advantages, including: (i) an effective protection of the encapsulated active ingredient against degradation, (ii) the possibility to control the release rate of the active ingredient. This review paper will address the historical background of microencapsulation technology, commonly used microencapsulation methods with its advantages and disadvantages and its applications in pharmaceutical, food, agricultural, biotechnological and cosmetic field. It also focuses on the influence of process parameters, residual solvent and cross linking agents as described in the scientific journal and patent literature. Microencapsulation methods are divided into two basic groups, namely chemical and physical. Each method has its own advantages as well as disadvantages. However most of the commonly used methods have several disadvantages such as unfavorable conditions for the core material, complexity in procedure and low encapsulation efficiency. The results indicate that the number of process variables that should be optimized during core material encapsulation. The dependence so many process variables may become a problem in terms of reproducibility and scale-up process. Based on the existing results and authors ’reflection, this review gives rise to reasoning and suggested choices of process parameters and microencapsulation procedure.

Growth of Headache Research: A 1983-2014 bibliometric study.

Aim This study charts the growth of the scientific journal literature on headache for 30+ years (1983-2014). Methods Using the Web of Science, articles published in four two-year periods (1983-1984, 1993-1994, 2003-2004, 2013-2014) from journals indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded database were retrieved and analyzed. Results From 1983-1984 to 2013-2014, the scientific literature on headache increased nearly fourfold (3.8) from 468 to 1776 articles; the number of participating countries more than doubled (26 to 67); and the two most prolific countries in each period were the USA and Italy. While several European countries (Italy, Germany, UK and Denmark) were among the top 10 in each period, the notable appearance of Turkey, China and Brazil among the top 10 in 2013-2014 indicates the growing geographic spread of publications on headache research. Meanwhile, the comet-like distribution of journals has not changed: two journals, Headache and Cephalalgia, persist throughout as the nucleus, with the tail increasing more than threefold from 141 journals in 1983-1984 to 462 in 2013-2014. Conclusion Our study follows the recent growth and spread of the scientific literature on headache research and should stimulate further bibliometric investigation in this field.

BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE INKOM JOURNAL (ANALISIS BIBLIOMETRIK JURNAL INKOM)

This paper proposed main problems of quantity and quality measurement of the research articles published in INKOM journal for 5 years period in informatics, computers and control system. Those three areas have become research missions of The Research Center for Informatics – Indonesia Institute of Sciences. The aim of this paper is to show how to solve research problems above using bibliometric method to analyze bibliography data available in the journal as well as to offer a summary of the research activity in the area including its most important aspects. Bibliographical data are taken from 76 articles published in the journal from May 2007 to November 2011. This paper also discusses how the method is used to measure article distribution, magazine classification category, article subject distribution, authorship patterns, and institutions distribution contributions. Results of the research show that the majority of articles are contributed by multi authors with degree of collaboration 0,553; the journal has already been widely known by the researchers outside LIPI, researchers from non-LIPI institution dominated more on the publication than from LIPI itself. The quantity of research articles increased in 2011 and used more references from scientific articles than the year before. Besides, the research quality also increased and used more cited articles from scientific journal literature than from books.

Groundwater and Surface Water Interaction at the Regional-scale – A Review with Focus on Regional Integrated Models

Scientists and practitioners agree that integrated water resource management is necessary, with an increasing need for research at the regional scale (10 3 to 10 5 km 2 ). At this scale interactions between environmental and human systems are fully developed and global change is linked to local actions. The groundwater-surface water interaction (GW-SW) is of particular interest. Herein we review the scientific journal literature and examine GW-SW at the regional scale. We briefly review all existing literature on GW-SW, then summarise its characteristics at different scales and identify specific challenges of the regional scale. We explore whether GW-SW should be treated differently at regional and local scales. Regional GW-SW is rarely examined in experimental field studies, which almost exclusively cover small areas. However, GW-SW is often integral to large scale coupled models. Thus, we collate information about existing models and their regional applications. Fully coupled, physics-based models have great potential to meet the technical challenges. However, limited data availability hampers the application of complex models at the regional scale and loosely coupled schemes are more widely applied. Many integrated modelling concepts have been published, but none have been applied in a wide range of settings. Thus, it is impossible to compare the performance of different approaches. Comparative analyses of existing regional scale integrated models in the context of different data availability and geographic conditions are needed. Unfortunately, peer-reviewed journal literature no longer provides a representative picture of the subject as models are becoming Btoo big to be published^ or too pragmatic.

The specifics of access to scholarly journal literature in the digital society

The current details of publishing in the scientific and technological field are analyzed. Attention is paid to the reinforcement of the information noise that accompanies administrative approaches to the improvement of the citation index. The roles and functions of publishers that deal with scientific-journal literature are investigated. The need for a strict ranking of scientific publications based on their scientific value established through high-quality peer review, as well as the difficulties in the organization of peer-review work, are highlighted. The possibility of organizing a centralized peer review of scholarly journal publications on the basis of peer-review centers is presented and discussed. It is assumed that this will help to eliminate one of the major barriers to open access to scientific articles.

ScienceCentral: open access full-text archive of scientific journals based on Journal Article Tag Suite regardless of their languages

ScienceCentral, a free or open access, full-text archive of scientific journal literature at the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies, was under test in September 2013. Since it is a Journal Article Tag Suite-based full text database, extensible markup language files of all languages can be presented, according to Unicode Transformation Format 8-bit encoding. It is comparable to PubMed Central: however, there are two distinct differences. First, its scope comprises all science fields; second, it accepts all language journals. Launching ScienceCentral is the first step for free access or open access academic scientific journals of all languages to leap to the world, including scientific journals from Croatia.

Research data is a field of expanding importance for ASIS&T in our 75th year. The third ASIS&T Research Data Access and Development Summit (RDAP12) was held in New Orleans at the end of March, and in this issue we feature an RDAP-related special section assembled by guest editor Melissa Weaver. Our annual Information Architecture (IA) issue, reflecting the concurrent IA Summit will appear in October. The RDAP12 coverage includes an annotated program, a thematic overview of the summit by Karen Wickett, Xiao Hu and Andrea Thomer and summaries of the panels on data citation and training data management practitioners by Matt Mayernik and Xiao Hu, respectively. In addition, we have related articles on data citation, a major RDAP concern, by Joe Hourclé and Matt Mayernik. In conjunction with the Anniversary Celebration Committee we also begin our 75th anniversary coverage with “The Changed and Changing ADI/ASIS/ASIST After 75 Years,” an overview of the history of ASIS&T by Bob Williams. We are very grateful to Bob and to all our members who have worked over the years to record and preserve this legacy. Our other feature articles are on diverse topics. First, Bo-Christer Björk and Patrik Paetau discuss “Open Access to the Scientific Journal Literature – Status and Challenges for the Information Systems Community.” Their report includes a study of open access to the information systems literature based on a sample of more than 700 articles from information systems journals, while on a lighter note, Jay ven Eman, stressing the need for taxonomic fieldwork, entices us with the unlikely juxtaposition of “Taxonomies, Biology and Baseball.” In addition to our focus on research data access and preservation, there is a sub-theme that runs through much of the issue: information professionals (IPs) – their roles, training, history, recognition, advocacy and status. IP advocacy is the topic of the “President's Page” where current president Diane Sonnenwald discusses the latest recommendations of the Information Professionals Task Force, which is establishing a website at InfoProfessionals.org and supporting panels to promote IP recognition at relevant conferences. In addition, RDAP12, and most particularly the training panel, was much concerned with the role of IPs in this emerging area, and questions regarding their qualifications, training and recognition for data curation are a major concern of Wickett, Hu and Thomer. Finally, of course, the history of ASIS&T is also a part of the history of a significant group of IPs, and its changing structure and focus over the years mirrors many of the broader impacts of the information age on how IPs define themselves. Stay tuned for more on IP advocacy as the anniversary and the task force's projects unfold.

Open access to the scientific journal literature – status and challenges for the information systems community

AbstractEditor's SummarySince the 1990s, the aim of open access (OA) has been to enhance scholarly communication by delivering scientific publications on the Internet without fees or restrictions. Adoption of the gold model of OA, electronic access to publishers' scientific journals at no cost, has been slow in the United States and the United Kingdom, even if authors pay an extra OA charge. The more successful route has been green OA, publishing the original or modified versions on authors' personal home pages or in institutional or subject‐specific repositories. In a 2008 sample of science disciplines, Bjork found 20.4% were provided OA, with 8.5% on publishers' sites. For information systems articles published in 2009, 21.3% were OA but a mere 0.6% on publishers' sites, the gold model. Of OA articles, 8% were published on domain repositories, 32.7% in institutional repositories, and 59% on other websites. Broad expansion of OA will depend on greater author awareness and wider platform access, and publishers must adopt international bibliographic metadata and standardized author identification.

Human and coral reef use interactions: From impacts to solutions?

The literature on coral reefs and human resource use or fishing is reviewed less from the perspective of summarizing findings but more from the sociological perspective of what scientists chose to study, publish, and cite in journal articles. The motivation was to determine if coral reef science is generating information needed to solve the coral reef climate and fisheries crisis that has been publicized in many of the highest visibility and cited publications. The social-ecological system of coral reefs involves the environment, the ecosystem, human harvesting and social organization and the policies that arise from their interaction. Regardless of the focus and findings of any science investigation on this system, recommendations for management are limited, and include restrictions on space, time of use, effort, gear, species, size, and gender. Evaluating the scientific journal literature in the Scopus database on these restrictions indicates a disparity in focus for both publications and citations. The greatest number of scientists and citations are focused on spatial closures and fishing effort, effort seen as the problem and closures the solution. The other restrictions, that represent less extreme forms of management and have lower short-term social costs and trade offs, are not well studied and, when studied, investigated by either a small group of associated colleagues or transient one-publication investigators. When the values, selectivity, and incentives of scientists conflict with resource users desires for knowledge, incentives, and profits the resulting divide can weaken the social relevance and applicability of science and delay real-world problem solving. Societal engagement, acceptance, objectivity, and finding solutions are likely to increase if scientific effort is spread more evenly across this full spectrum of management restrictions and more components of the social-ecological system.
