The Dunganville meteorite, found near Greymouth, South Island, is a coarse octahedrite Class Og, Chemical Group 1. Electron probe analyses of .kamacite, taenite, and schreibersite are given, and a bulk analysis obtained by wet chemical and XRF methods is included. Very small, scarce inclusions of troilite contain grains of a pure end member chromite. Dunganville is the largest meteorite yet found in New Zealand; weight 50.2 kg, dimensions 35x21 × 16 cm.
