Historically, the topic of Russian information occupation in the post-Soviet space is not well understood. The research conducted by the author suggests that the Russian Federation actively used information and propaganda levers of influence on the population of the peninsula, which became vulnerable to Russian propaganda due to the high level of confidence of information received from Russian radio and television channels, a wide broadcast of Russian content on Ukrainian channels, a small amount of Ukrainian content, alternative sources of information. Emphasizes the key role of the information component of the hybrid threat. The nature of the destructive influence of the information policy of the Russian Federation on the population of the peninsula is considered. During the latent phase of preparation for annexation, there was a powerful propaganda influence not only on the inhabitants of Crimea, but also on the citizens of the Russian Federation, and the long-lasting and large-scale measures of informational and psychological character preceded the direct invasion. The directions of formation of public opinion on the legitimacy of the incorporation of the ARC by the Russian Federation and the facts of the perversion of events and manipulation of the minds of Crimeans at the beginning of 2014 are analyzed.

Russian Radio Journalist and Their Job: Research into Motivation and Job Satisfaction

The motivation structure, exhaustion level and satisfaction level among the radio journalists are the least researched aspects both in Russian and foreign journalism. This research is based on leading Russian radio stations journalists and managers interviews and is aimed to portrait a modern radio journalist from the perspective of his attitude to the job. The research showed, that, in general, journalists are satisfied with both their work and the relationship with coworkers and the psychological climate in the editorial office. The salary is the most important motivator for all the radio journalists regardless age, interest in the job, career ambitions, fame ambitions and willingness to change the world. This means, that journalists cant be divided into those ones working for money and working for an idea. All the journalists work for money, however, some of them work, in addition, for an idea. The radio journalists feel their workload as high: about half of them feel physically and emotionally exhausted. Many journalists do overtime work: three quarters of them think themes and materials over, more than a half of them prepare materials. The male radio journalists tend to be more romantic and idealistic, the female radio journalists are often more career-oriented, and, therefore, ready to perform more difficult work without a pay rise and they prefer career to private life. Another important trend is the correlation of age and demotivation. The older journalists are less motivated by being interested in their job, an opportunity to build a career, realizing their full potential, becoming famous and changing the world for the better. However, at the same time the older journalists feel the most comfortable in the editorial office and are more often satisfied with their work, combining demotivation with the highest adaptability.

Cultural-moulding Potential of the Russian Radio and it's Application in Teaching Russian Language

The significance of Radio, as a medium of Mass communication, in the cultural development of the Russians and the suitability of using it in teaching Russian language as a native language and as well as a foreign language has motivated the attention towards the cultural-educational radio programs. Moreover, these programs are a rich source of good speech and quality texts.The research involves the independent works of students and is based on accessing the archives and records of radio programs. Proposed author's method of working with podcasts was tested in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Development of Radio in Kazakhstan

This article discusses how radio in Kazakhstan changed after the Soviet Union collapsed and market-oriented independent countries emerged. Since independence in 1991, the media, including radio, developed partly as a private enterprise and partly as a government entity with government radio operations controlled by the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation. State radio stations in Kazakhstan are subsidized and operations do not depend on popularity or successful competition for audiences. Commercial stations have found support in advertising and continue to be successful. Although Kazakhstan has been independent for about 20 years and Kazakh stations are successful, the radio market in Kazakhstan is dominated by Russian radio. This article highlights the significant challenge for Kazakh radio as it continues to develop a uniquely Kazakh character that can promote Kazakh language and culture, and successfully attract a Kazakh audience.

Privatizing Russian radio: a post-perestroika perspective

Just five years ago, at the end of 1999, Russia celebrated the seventy-fifth anniversary of the inception of regularly scheduled radio broadcasting in the country. The landmark offers a good occasion to reflect on the past and present of Russian radio. For most of the twentieth century the medium operated in a totalitarian state characterized by profound social stagnation. For the past dozen years - and at an increasing pace since the anniversary - the situation has been quite different. This article briefly explores the past differences and the growing present-day similarities between Russian and American radio.

Russian Radio and the Age of Glasnost and Perestroika

Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the Russian radio medium underwent an unprecedented transformation. Newfound freedom of expression resulting from the era of Glasnost and Perestroika and the State's sanctioning of independent and commercial radio inspired a rapid increase in the number of station operations throughout the Federation. Today, Russian radio baffles a weak economy, political uncertainty, and technological change as it emulates Western programming and business practices. This article surveys selected literature on its subject while employing the insights and observations of prominent Russian media academics and journalists. It seeks to provide a concise overview of a truly unique event in the recent history of world radio.

Progress in Radio Engineering in Russia 1918-1922

The organization of the radio engineers of Russia and the relationship of the Institute of Russian Radio Engineers to other scientific organizations is described. The work of the Russian engineers since 1917 in a number of fields is summarized, with particular reference to vacuum tube amplifiers, low and high power transmitting tubes, portable stations, oscillograph measurements, radio frequency alternators and frequency multipliers, high power Poulsen arcs, directional reception, radio direction finding, radio centralized operation, broadcasting, precision measurements, high speed telegraphy, multiplex telephony along wires (guided radio), and pilot cables.
