MIS also contributes to problem-solving and decision-making processes, ultimately serving as a key component in achieving customer satisfaction and focus.

The Role of Management Information Systems in the History of Mental Health Care for Prisoners in the USA

From the prehistorical to contemporary periods, prisoners’ mental health has been a burgeoning issue in the United States (USA). After a decade of incarceration and a misleading penal system, prisoners' mental health has become a discussed topic for scholars not only in the correctional system but also in other disciplines. Despite having diverse initiatives for the improvement of the penal system, few initiatives have been held to take into consideration of prisoner's mental health. To fill this gap, the main purpose of this paper is to provide a brief overview of the mental health of prisoners by analyzing previous research on the mental health of prisoners along with suggesting some probable ways from management information perspectives that can be helpful to reduce a great number of prisoners and bring some positive changes in the correctional system.

This research discusses the integration of Management Information System (MIS) in digital marketing strategies through the Instagram platform. Using a qualitative approach with a case study, the research elaborates on the utilization of MIS in collecting and analyzing customer data and its impact on digital marketing effectiveness. The main findings indicate that MIS plays a crucial role in enhancing understanding of customer behavior, facilitating team coordination, and expediting marketing decision-making. However, challenges such as resource availability and employee training are also identified. The results of this study provide in-depth insights into the role of MIS in the context of Instagram digital marketing and offer practical recommendations to enhance MIS implementation and digital marketing strategy efficiency.

Digital Transformations in Vocational High School: A Case Study of Management Information System Implementation in Banda Aceh, Indonesia

This study examines the digital transformation in vocational education through the implementation of a Management Information System (MIS) in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Focused on enhancing educational administration and decision-making, the study provides insightful analysis on the integration of MIS in State Vocational High School (SMK), specifically SMKN 1 and SMKN 3 in Banda Aceh. A purposive sampling method was employed for usability testing. The questionnaire-based usability test revealed high reliability and positive user responses across multiple indicators. Data analysis affirmed the system's high user satisfaction, effectiveness, and ease of use. Despite limitations, the study highlights the significant potential of well-designed MIS in improving operational efficiency and user satisfaction in educational settings. Future research directions include expanding the sample size, conducting longitudinal studies, incorporating qualitative methods, and exploring the impact on educational outcomes, to enhance the generalizability and depth of understanding regarding the role of MIS in education.

The Role of Management Information Systems in Kerambitan Village Governance with Tri Hita Karana Culture as a Mediation Variable

This study aims to examine the effect of Management Information Systems on Governance. The mediating variable, namely the concept of Hindu culture Tri Hita Karana is included in this study. This research was conducted in one of the agro-tourism villages in Bali, namely Kerambitan Village – Tabanan by taking 128 research samples. The overall model evaluation results are based on the R-Square (R2), Q-Square Predictive Relevance (Q2) and Goodness of Fit (GoF) values, so the model is declared good. The results obtained by the Management Information System have a positive effect on Tri Hita Karana, Tri Hita Karana has a positive effect on corporate governance and Tri Hita Karana mediates the influence of management information systems on corporate governance.

Management Information System is a system that is used in the processing and organizing of data and information that has been used to support the overall management processes of an organization. With a good system, the leadership can obtain data regarding work experience, position experience, job performance, loyalty, and other information that can support the decision-making process including employee career development. This study aims to figure out the role of the Employee Performance Management Information System (SIMKP) in the decision-making of employee career development at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Manado. The qualitative research design with a case study approach was carried out at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Manado, from February to April 2022. Data collection techniques used were observations and interviews. The results of this study were there are three stages of the role of MIS in decision making of career development. The intelligence stage helps in collecting the data needed in the decision making of employee career development process, the design stage helps in processing and analyzing existing the data to be used in the employee career development decision-making process, and the choice stage helps in determining choices from various alternatives in the employee career development decision-making process. It can be concluded that there are three stages in which SIMKP plays a role in the career development decision-making process of employees in PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Manado

Analysis of the data used in this study is a qualitative analysis, namely an analysis that describes what actually happened to the object of research. The results of the study indicate that the management of management information systems must consider the efficiency of the company's data source system in guaranteeing information through the application of management information systems. Influence of MIS components on efficiency of e-marketing strategies: Evidence from telecommu-nication organizations in Jordan

The study aimed to highlight the role of management information system (MIS) and its components in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of e-marketing strategies in telecommunications companies in Jordan. By relying on the quantitative methodology and by dealing with the questionnaire as a research tool, 131 individuals from the marketing departments in the organizations under study responded, and after the analysis, the study demonstrated an impact of MIS and its components on e-marketing strategies by influencing how and the mechanism of data processing and presentation as information that contributes to making the most appropriate marketing decision. The study also proved that all components of MIS have an impact on e-marketing strategies, most of which were “human resources” or people, which proved that the efficiency of individuals and their ability to deal with technology carries significant effect on the effectiveness of MIS in managing and organizing e-marketing strategies. The study recommends the necessity to focus on human resources with STEM skills, namely science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in order to ensure the best outcomes of MIS.

The results of research and discussion explain that a good management information system will have the ability to process data from all company activities into useful information and take over the management decision-making process. Although the supporting factors are adequate, there are still system errors and weaknesses in the design and implementation. These weaknesses are like processing data into information which takes a lot of time because information is processed in every part of the company so that it requires continuous supervision from the leaders. Information is distributed based on levels according to the organizational structure from superiors to subordinates. If circumstances force, the distribution of the information will no longer take place based on the level but directly to the superior, because the superior is obliged to make decisions that are exceptions to the problem.
