A Study on the Application of Miao Culture in Regional Landscape Design

Pingbian Muyang River Park is located in the core area of Dishui Miao City, Pingbian Miao Autonomous County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, with a construction area of about 93000 m2. By rational planning and layout of space, reorganizing the original site relationships, and using the “Miao Culture Active Museum” as the theme of park design, we aim to create a unique Miao culture space, allowing people to experience the charm of ethnic culture and the uniqueness of regional landscapes, as if wandering between Miao culture museums in the park. Utilize elements such as water bridge culture and Miao culture in the Pingbian area to create local characteristic landscapes, and summarize the methods of using Miao culture to create regional landscapes. Integrating theory with practice, designing a regional landscape space that embodies the cultural charm of the Miao ethnic group, integrating leisure sightseeing, tourism experience, and health and entertainment. After its completion, the park received widespread attention and recognition from all sectors of society. In 2018, it was successfully declared a national AAAA scenic spot and provided reference and inspiration for landscape design in Yunnan’s ethnic areas.

WITHDRAWN: High Resolution Image Processing and Rural Landscape Standardization Effect Simulation Based on VR Technology

The application of virtual reality technology in landscape design can better combine the actual situation and enhance the expression effect. In order to build rural landscape model, virtual reality technology is applied in this article, first of all, build the relevant area of the model, then completed a landscape design and rendering, and then through the virtual reality technology to simulate the regional landscape design renderings, and carries on the practice and adjustment, will eventually be presented the results of the simulation. It is proposed that the UAV tilt photography technology can restore the real three-dimensional scene of the mountain village, so that the three-dimensional real scene model can be used to comprehensively collect regional information. This method will reduce the difficulty for designers to obtain site information, and try to integrate the scheme directly into the rural landscape design on this basis. By using the data difference obtained before and after, we can more directly judge the rationality of the design scheme, conduct a panoramic survey and effect simulation on the design scheme questionnaire, and collect the participants' satisfaction with the design scheme and the detailed satisfaction scores of the constituent landscape elements according to the completion point of the design scheme. This paper studies the subject of high-resolution image processing based on VR technology, and applies the research results to the effect simulation of rural landscape standardization, which promotes the rapid development of rural landscape. A Brief Talk on the Research of Regional Landscape Design Combining Nature and Humanism under Computer Background

The role of landscape design in urban construction has become more and more important, but at the same time of rapid urban development, the frequent destruction of traditional landscapes and cultural heritage is not uncommon. Nowadays, the public space landscape in many cities has become blind due to blind construction. The mediocrity loses its characteristics. Regional landscape design is based on the characteristics of the development of the times and the characteristics of regional natural and human conditions. It is proposed that the combination of design and regional should be adhered to in the regional landscape design. This article uses computer technology, integrates the natural and humanistic elements, studies the related issues of applying regional features in landscape design, and takes Hangzhou as an example to conduct practice and analysis. Practice shows that when the design complies with nature, it can better adapt to local conditions and create a benchmark landscape.

Study on the Landscape Ecological Design of Regional Environment Around Chaohu Lake

Based on Anhui province, this paper applies the characteristics of the regional environment of Chaohu Lake into the ecological design of landscape around Chaohu Lake, focuses on the method application of ecological design in environmental landscape design, integrates ecological landscape design with the renewable resources in region around Chaohu Lake, and conducts feasibility analysis and countermeasure study on it from the actual situation. On the theoretical basis of the design with geographical and cultural characteristics, this paper conducts systematic research by combining natural landscape, cultural landscape and ecological landscape. In particular, it explores how to apply ecological design to conduct transformation application in landscape design of regional environment; how to recombine natural and humanistic space unit in ecological design; how to conduct special and diversified practice application on environmental landscape design based on regional culture of Anhui province. The goal is to find out the research method of ecological landscape design, which can effectively protect the ecological balance of urban environment, with the characteristics of regional landscape design around Chaohu Lake.

Incorporating Renewable Energy Science in Regional Landscape Design: Results from a Competition in The Netherlands

Energy transition is expected to make an important contribution to sustainable development. Although it is argued that landscape design could foster energy transition, there is scant empirical research on how practitioners approach this new challenge. The research question central to this study is: To what extent and how is renewable energy science incorporated in regional landscape design? To address this knowledge gap, a case study of a regional landscape design competition in the Netherlands, held from 2010–2012, is presented. Its focus was on integral, strategic landscape transformation with energy transition as a major theme. Content analysis of the 36 competition entries was supplemented and triangulated with a survey among the entrants, observation of the process and a study of the competition documents and website. Results indicated insufficient use of key-strategies elaborated by renewable energy science. If landscape design wants to adopt a supportive role towards energy transition, a well-informed and evidence-based approach is highly recommended. Nevertheless, promising strategies for addressing the complex process of ensuring sustainable energy transition also emerged. They include the careful cultivation of public support by developing inclusive and bottom-up processes, and balancing energy-conscious interventions with other land uses and interests.

The Application Practice of Green Building Technologies in Landscape Design

In recent years, green building technologies have been developed greatly and quickly in China. While the green building technologies have been gradually matured, the application practice of green building technologies in landscape design has been increasingly widespread. Combined with the case study on the design of Tianlu-lake Forest Park entrance area, this paper is introducing the green building technologies in landscape design mainly from two aspects: Site design and construction detail. The green building technologies applied in this case were included: (1)Site Analysis: interpretation of the status quo; (2)Site Planning: conform to the terrain; (3) Architecture design: hidden in the earth; (4) Vertical design: suit local circumstances; (5) Vegetation design: the big trees plaza; (6) permeable ground; (7) greening parking lot; (8) Roofs Greening; (9)Retain the ecological corridor. Furthermore, this paper is reflected on this design practice, in order to benefit regional landscape design and study.

The Application of Accumulative Constitution of Chu`s Design Art in Wuhan Regional Landscape Design

The intensified procreation consciousness, colony consciousness and Magic consciousness of Chu`s barbarism culture appears as accumulative constitution in Chu`s design art that have chu culture characteristics . In Wuhan regional landscape design, designers have use of a large number of accumulative forms that include unordered accumulative constitution form, ramification accumulative constitution form, heterogeneity accumulative constitution form and frame accumulative constitution form.

Landscape architecture at the Wageningen Agricultural University

The structure and content of the Landscape Architecture programme at the Wageningen Agricultural University (WAU) is the product of the interaction between architectural ideals and normative concepts, of the national higher education system and the local academic context, as well as the professional standards set by national law. The core issues of the programme are site design, regional landscape design and planning, and the theoretical basis of landscape design. The major didactic goal of the programme is the development of both creative skills and an academic attitude.

The Role of Urban Forestry in Regional Landscape Design

The urban forester has a vital role to play in the land use planning process of peri-urban regions, He gathers and synthesizes data on pertinent physical and biological parameters and integrates these parameters into workable units for interpretive purposes. A sound understanding and proper manipulation of naturally occurring vegetation can not only enhance the final regional design but serves as a valuable tool in the communicative process amongst the urban forester, land planner and the general populace. Experience gained in urban forestry programs undertaken in southwestern British Columbia, indicates that the manner of presentation of technical data is at least as important as the understanding of that data for landscape design purposes.
