Adaptive State Estimation of UAV Information Physical System Under Network Attack

with the idea of information physics system put forward, governments, enterprises and scientific research in-stitutions have joined the research and construction of information physics system. The construction and development of information physics system is bound to be restricted by the security and privacy of information physical system, which provides theoretical reference for clearing the current security threats of information physical system and providing theoretical reference for the security and privacy protection of information physical system. UAV is an intelligent infor-mation physics system which relies on ground communication and flight control system to realize autonomous flight. The concept of IT system was first proposed by NASA in 1992. As a new intelligent system, UAV has emerged and is widely used. It is a complex system of computing, network and physical entity integration and deep cooperation. Thus, the real-time perception, dynamic control and information service of large physical system and information system can be achieved.

Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Rekomendasi Wisata Kalimatan Timur Berbasis Web Menggunakan Metode Item-Based Collaborative Filtering

The development of a tourism object is an important sector in the development of an area to support the economic power of the people in the area, this also applies to the East Kalimantan province. In order to improve the tourist experience, the development of a tourist recommendation information system is a necessity. This research discusses the development of a web-based Tourism Recommendation Information System and Tourism Chatbot specifically for East Kalimantan Province.Item-Based Collaborative Filtering method is implemented in the development of this system. This method utilizes historical data of user preferences to recommend suitable tourist destinations. The data collected includes user preferences for various attractions, such as location, facilities, and types of activities. The development process starts from data collection and processing, building a web information system, to integration with a chatbot.Tourist Recommendation Information System provides recommendations for tourist destinations tailored to user preferences. Through a user-friendly web interface, users can explore interactive maps, find out the details of attractions, and see reviews from previous visitors. In addition, the Tourism Chatbot provides real-time information and recommendation services to users through an instant messaging platform. The trial results show that the Item-Based Collaborative Filtering method is able to provide recommendations that are relevant to user preferences. Users feel more assisted in planning their travel trips. The system also succeeded in increasing user interaction and engagement through the use of a responsive chatbot.In conclusion, the development of a web-based Tourism Recommendation Information System and Tourism Chatbot with the Item-Based Collaborative Filtering method can be an effective solution in improving the tourist experience in East Kalimantan Province. This system provides accurate recommendations and empowers users to plan a better and memorable tour.

Dynamic data‐driven computation method for the number of waiting passengers and waiting time in the urban rail transit network

Excess passengers gathering on the urban rail transit platform in a short time brings huge security risks to passengers and the daily operation of urban rail transit. However, the real-time monitoring method of passenger flows, which relies on manual methods, cannot satisfy the requirement of daily operations at the network level anymore. This study proposes a dynamic data-driven computation and monitoring method for the number of waiting passengers on platforms to recognize the operational risk in real-time. For waiting passengers on platforms, the waiting time duration before boarding is also calculated based on a first-come-first-service basis. It can be used to provide real-time information services to passengers and evaluate service quality. Moreover, the proposed methodology relies solely on the AFC data and the train timetable, which makes it easy to implement in the daily operation of any urban rail transit system. Finally, taking the Beijing rail transit network as a case study, the real-time number of waiting passengers on each platform, and the time duration passengers should wait before boarding are calculated dynamically. Meanwhile, the spatio-temporal distribution of passengers’ waiting time and waiting passengers are detailly analyzed based on the method of cluster analysis and the complex network theory.

MQTT Protocol Extension for Real Time Location based Service

This paper introduces an extension of the MQTT protocol to reduce communication overhead in real-time location-based service system where mobile MQTT clients move and change their administrative district location frequently. The MQTT protocol was extended to handle UNSUBSCRIBE and SUBSCRIBE processing with a single step and the LBS server was revised to handle the extended protocol. Instead of directly processing SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE, mobile clients need to send their GPS location to the LBS server. LBS Server communicate with MQTT Broker to using extended protocol on behalf of each client. In an environment where large number of clients frequently move, the extended MQTT protocol can drastically reduce the number of messages between MQTT Broker and clients. This is mainly because clients do not need to issue SUBSCRIBE and UNSUBSCRIBE request to MQTT Broker. In addition, in contrast to our previous study where clients receive new administrative area name after sending its GPS location to LBS server, in this research, using extended MQTT protocol, mobile clients do not need to receive new administrative name even though they move across different district areas and as a result, the number of message exchanges can also be reduced. The LBS system applying the extended MQTT protocol can be used as a real-time location-based information service for large-scale mobile devices, such as real-time pedestrian population and vehicle traffic analysis, and location-based message delivery.

Impacts of Real-Time Transit Information on Bus Passengers’ Travel Choices Based on Travel Behaviour Survey

Real-time transit information (RTI) service can provide travellers with information on public transport and guide them to arrange departure time and travel mode accordingly. This paper aims to analyse travellers’ choices under RTI by exploring the relationship between the related variables of RTI and passengers’ travel choice. Based on the stated preference (SP) survey data, the ordinal logistic regression model is established to analyse the changing probability of passengers’ travel behaviour under RTI. The model calculation results show that travellers getting off work are more likely to change their travel choice under RTI. When data from the control and experimental groups are compared, the differences in route selection are significant. Specifically, passengers with RTI have a more complex route selection than those without, including their changes of travel mode, departure time, vehicles, and stop choices. The research findings can provide insights into the optimisation of intelligent transit information systems and the strategy of RTI. Also, the analysis of passengers’ travel choice under RTI in the transit network can help to improve network planning.

Dynamic Control of Fraud Information Spreading in Mobile Social Networks

Mobile social networks (MSNs) provide real-time information services to individuals in social communities through mobile devices. However, due to their high openness and autonomy, MSNs have been suffering from rampant rumors, fraudulent activities, and other types of misuses. To mitigate such threats, it is urgent to control the spread of fraud information. The research challenge is: how to design control strategies to efficiently utilize limited resources and meanwhile minimize individuals' losses caused by fraud information? To this end, we model the fraud information control issue as an optimal control problem, in which the control resources consumption for implementing control strategies and the losses of individuals are jointly taken as a constraint called total cost, and the minimum total cost becomes the objective function. Based on the optimal control theory, we devise the optimal dynamic allocation of control strategies. Besides, a dynamics model for fraud information diffusion is established by considering the uncertain mental state of individuals, we investigate the trend of fraud information diffusion and the stability of the dynamics model. Our simulation study shows that the proposed optimal control strategies can effectively inhibit the diffusion of fraud information while incurring the smallest total cost. Compared with other control strategies, the control effect of the proposed optimal control strategies is about 10% higher.

Users’ Cognitive and Affective Response to the Risk to Privacy from a Smart Speaker

ABSTRACT Smart speakers, which provide continuous real-time information and convenient services, increasingly permeate into users’ homes. On the other hand, the environments of the smart speaker also cause privacy issues for the users by always listening to users’ voices in their private homes. The privacy-prone environments of the smart speakers lead to the users’ coping behaviors against privacy threats not only by increasing the users’ privacy concerns but also by creating negative emotions. However, prior studies have predominantly focussed on cognitive frameworks and overlooked the impact of effect on users’ coping behaviors in the context of privacy threats. Drawing on the stimuli-organisms-responses(S-O-R) framework, this study examines the mediating role of three representative negative emotions (anger, anxiety, disappointment) between users’ privacy concerns and behaviors. The results indicate that the relationships between privacy concerns, negative emotions, and various privacy behaviors in the context of the smart speaker, emphasizing the mediating role of negative emotions. Findings of the study can enhance our knowledge of privacy research by adding the influence of effect in the cognitive-dominant framework.

Mobility as a service and sustainable travel behaviour: A thematic analysis study

Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is a novel brand of transport that promises to replace private cars with multimodal personalised mobility packages enabled by a digital platform capable of integrating travel planning, booking and ticketing, and real-time information services. It is an intervention that through its digitisation, connectivity, information and sharing merits intends to inspire and support the transition to a more sustainable mobility paradigm. Recent research suggests, however, that the potential uptake of MaaS might not be overwhelming; current car drivers could face considerable difficulties in bypassing their personal car for it and, more worryingly, future MaaS users may substitute not only personal car trips but also public transport journeys with car-sharing and ride-sharing services. This means that MaaS might not be able to create travel behaviour change, and even if it does, the changes may not be always towards the right direction. Through conducting 40 semi-structured interviews in three different UK cities, namely London, Birmingham and Huddersfield, and employing a robust Thematic Analysis approach, this study explores the factors underpinning the uptake and potential success of MaaS as a sustainable travel mechanism. The challenges and opportunities reflecting and affecting potential for responsible MaaS usage refer to five core themes Car Dependence; Trust; Human Element Externalities; Value; and Cost, each of them with distinctive and diverse dimensions. Policy-makers and mobility providers should realise that MaaS success relies on changing people’s attitudes to private cars (something very challenging) and thus they should incentivise responsible MaaS use, promote public transport as its backbone, use public engagement exercises and trials to expose people to the concept and somewhat demonise private car ownership and car use.

Simulation and Evaluation of Real-Time and Intelligent Space-Based Information Service System of China

The real-time and intelligent space-based information service system is a next-generation space-based information system featuring multi-satellite coordination and multi-network interconnection. It will be widely used in satellite communications, navigation, and remote sensing. To support the top-level design and construction of the real-time and intelligent space-based information service system, this paper studies the modeling simulation and performance evaluation of the system, and analyzes the necessity, requirements, and development trends of system simulation and evaluation. The key technologies such as scalable and efficient distributed simulation, spatial-temporal dynamic evaluation, and systematic modeling are discussed, considering the characteristics of the system, such as dynamic time-varying, diverse business, and heterogeneity. Based on the design of the distributed simulation and evaluation system, the transmission support capabilities of different low-orbit communication satellite systems are compared and evaluated, taking high-resolution remote sensing as an example. The results show that during the remote sensing data transmission process, the OneWeb satellite constellation has smaller delay, less packet loss, and higher capacity and stability, owing to its dense coverage; however, its capacity per satellite is inferior to that of the Hongyun satellite constellation which has a smaller coverage density. This study can provide technical supports for the feasibility evaluation and construction of the real-time and intelligent space-based information service system.

Research on the Development Strategy of Real-Time and Intelligent Space-Based Information Service System in China

Real-time and intelligent space-based information service system is a next-generation space-based system that integrates satellite communications, satellite navigation, and satellite remote sensing. It delivers space-based information to civil and military users as required in real time, relying on multi-load integration, multi-satellite collaboration, and interconnection between space and ground networks. This paper first analyzes the strategic requirements for real-time and intelligent space-based information services, then reviews the development status of satellite communications, satellite navigation, and satellite remote sensing in China and abroad, and summarizes the existing problems. Moreover, it expounds the basic concept, objectives, and technical architecture of the real-time and intelligent space-based information service system, and analyzes the relationship between this system and the existing (or planned) space-based information system, thus demonstrating its feasibility for construction. The real-time intelligent space-based information service system can be established through three steps and developed first locally, then regionally, and finally globally. This system should be incorporated into the overall planning for national science and technology development, and be constructed and shared mutually by civil and military parties. During the construction of this system, communicating and integration with existing and planned communications, navigation, and remote sensing satellites as well as with the ground communication systems should be strengthened.

A Hierarchical Architecture for the Future Internet of Vehicles

Recent advances in wireless communication, sensing, computation and control technologies have paved the way for the development of a new era of Internet of Vehicles (IoV). Demanded by the requirements of information-centric and data-driven intelligent transportation systems (ITS), it is of great significance to explore new paradigms of IoV in supporting large-scale, real-time, and reliable information services. In this article, we propose a hierarchical system architecture, which aims at synthesizing the paradigms of software defined networking and fog computing in IoV and best exploiting their synergistic effects on information services. Specifically, a four-layer architecture is designed, comprising the application layer, the control layer, the virtualization layer, and the data layer, with objectives of enabling logically centralized control via the separation of the control plane and the data plane; facilitating adaptive resource allocation and QoS oriented services based on network functions virtualization and network slicing, and enhancing system scalability, responsiveness, and reliability by exploiting the networking, computation, communication, and storage capacities of fog-based services. On this basis, we further analyze newly arising challenges and discuss future research directions by presenting a cross-layer protocol stack. Finally, for the proof of concept, we implement the system prototype and give two case studies in real-world IoV environments. The results of field tests not only demonstrate the great potential of the new architecture, but also give insight into the development of future ITS.

The Model of the Drone System Design for a Multi-recording of the 360-degree Video and Real-time Merging Technique

Background/ Objectives: Various attempts have been made to utilize drones to increase information utilization based on the 4th industrial revolution. As the availability of these drone increases, the demand for real time image information at various angles is increasing. So we need to make a research like it. Methods/ Statistical analysis: We propose a drone design model for 360-degree simultaneous multi-recording videos and a real-time video merging technique to provide efficient real-time video service in order to reduce blind spots that can occur in drone adjustment and to provide surveillance efficiency. In order to collect videos at various angles at the same time by using multiple cameras, we analyze the angle of the camera with respect to the split plane of the drones, and provide real-time video information service through efficient 360-degress videos construction and videos merging. It can be make an effective coordination and monitoring of a drone. Findings: The drones typically include one or two cameras for situational and video recording purposes, but this camera approach creates a blind spot in drone surveillance area. And also VR and 3D approach with first-person equipment of drone is lacking the real-time monitoring function at various angles in that it provides only one viewpoint at a time. In addition, it is required to recognize and utilize information more efficiently in the reality that the drones are being extended from the visibility flight to the non-visibility area. The simultaneous 360-degree video recording method using multiple cameras will improve the monitoring and operation ability of the drones and increase the utilization. To do this, we analyze multiple camera angles and construct the physical environment of the drone system for the collection and processing of effective video information. We also propose a video merging technique to provide efficient service of collected video information. Improvements/ Applications: Based on the relation between various elements constituting the drone, it can be used in various application environments by providing an efficient access and communication environment for monitoring and information required in the operation of the drone through the camera environment, real-time information collection and merging technique.

The equipment lock has acted as an important tool for power companies to protect the electricity metering equipment. However, the conventional equipment lock has two potential problems: vandalism and counterfeiting. To fulfil the control and track the potential illegal behaviour, the human labour and paper are required to proceed with related operations, resulting in the consumption of a large amount of human resources and maintenance costs. This research focused on the design of RFID technology applied to the traditional equipment lock, with the mobile and electronic technology, we are able to strengthen the management/operating convenience of the lock and provide the solutions for anti-counterfeiting and spoilage detection, so that the national energy can be properly protected and fairly distributed. The integration of RFID data interface and mobile sensing devices will enhance the control of electricity meters and other metering devices for the power company, it will also provide accurate and mobile support with interactive mode, real-time display by the system, and real-time information services. It will serve as the 'last-mile' management tool for the electrical equipment and improve development of the intelligent electric grids.

Regulation and governance supporting systemic MaaS innovations

Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) is an example of a systemic innovation, where mobility services addressing different customers' transportation needs are integrated with real-time traveler information, ticketing, and payment services. This paper examines how the differences in institutional setup, stakeholder processes and viewpoints, and technological development have resulted in different approaches to regional governance when supporting systemic innovations in transportation. Two European regions with established collaboration networks in transportation and spatial planning are compared. These regions are the Growth Corridor Finland and the Basel metropolitan area in Switzerland. During August 2017, an invitation to online questionnaire was sent to 410 stakeholders, who had been participating in different stakeholder processes, such as pilot projects, strategy development groups, academic projects, and infrastructure projects in the field of mobility and commuting. With 99 completed questionnaires, the overall response rate was 24.1%. The answers were analyzed to collect stakeholder experiences from previous collaboration efforts, to assess the importance of transportation innovations to the work of these stakeholders, and to get insights about current barriers and supporting factors when developing these systemic innovations. As a result, managerial implications are discussed for these formal collaboration networks in their aspiration to support new mobility innovations.

Wireless Vehicular Check-in Protocol at Urban Road Intersection

Intelligent organization of the traffic flow at an urban intersection is fundamentally important in intelligent transportation systems. Because of their low-cost deployment and convenient maintenance, wireless devices attract more attention against traditional devices, e.g., ground loops and road cameras. This paper targets to provide a vehicle-efficient check-in at a roadside unit (RSU) installed at an urban intersection through wireless communication, which means that each vehicle exchanges information with the RSU while traveling past the intersection. While this seems simple, it is nontrivial because fast-moving vehicles limit the lifetime of their packets and the RSU suffers from mutual interference caused by other mobile devices. Especially, the communication background environment is complex and highly dynamic. To address the challenges, we design a wireless check-in protocol with flexible parameters on the basis of the IEEE 802.11 protocols. The protocol leverages a vector auto-regressive and moving average model and reinforcement learning to dynamic environment adaptation. Moreover, a fine-grained tuning method based on an exponential smoothing algorithm is applied on the RSU side to further improve the check-in efficiency. We evaluate the proposed check-in protocol by combining the real urban road intersection data, collected in Shenzhen and Shanghai, with a simulation of urban mobility (SUMO) and an NS-3 network simulator. Its usage brings about 10% improvement in both check-in ratio and packet reception ratio in comparison with the IEEE 802.11p. It also can act as a basic component for various real-time information services.

Space-based information service in Internet Plus Era

“Internet Plus” represents a new form of society that provides a vast platform for reform, innovation, and development. Given the continued integration of the Internet in many fields, Internet Plus is profoundly transforming and influencing a variety of traditional industries. Internet Plus has created conditions favorable for the transformation of earth observation and satellite navigation into an intelligent and real-time geospatial information service. The authors propose that in order to implement continuous, all-weather, all-terrain services for the specific purposes of each individual, it will be necessary to overcome the flaws in existing space-based information systems, such as limited regional coverage, slow response, and weak interoperability. Furthermore, to meet the Big Data Era’s geospatial information service requirements, an “Internet Plus Space-Based Information Service” system, intrinsically linked to ground Internet networks, will have to be constructed. With reference to the developments of aerospace information technology, this paper discusses three levels of the proposed structure of the Internet Plus space-based information service system and ideas for its implementation. Finally, in recognition of the demands facing the Internet Plus space-based information service system, the prospects for geomatics and important supporting technologies are examined.

Prototyping sustainable mobility practices: user-generated data in the smart city

ABSTRACTAlthough smart cities are now the subject of a growing literature, there is a paucity of research which considers how smart city projects develop on the ground. This paper begins to address this concern by exploring the development of a transport application, MotionMap, within the MK:Smart smart city programme. MotionMap aims to provide city-wide real-time transport information services. It is being developed through an ongoing dialogue sparked by the interaction of lead users and prototypes of a smart transport app. We draw on insights from Strategic Niche Management and social practice theories to explore how ‘smart’ might be integrated within and potentially transform the plurality of mobility practices that exist in cities.
