Digital data collection protocols and template design for an oral health survey of elite athletes in Ireland

AimTo design a digital template for form building, data collection and data management to assess the diet and oral health of elite athletes.Subject and methodsA web-based open-source platform, KoboToolbox (KBTB), was used to aid design and manufacture of a digital data collection form for use in oral health surveys. KBTB frontend form builder was used to create a customised questionnaire. Dental charting systems for the chosen indices were designed using XLSForms, converted to XForm and uploaded to the KBTB interface to create a single form for digital data input. This template was used to collect data for a cross-sectional study investigating the diet and oral health of a convenience sample of elite athletes in Ireland.ResultsA digital data collection (DDC) form was designed for use in oral health surveys. The customised form was then used to collect data for a survey of 88 elite athletes on the KBTB platform. Dietary behaviours were recorded by the participants using KBTB. Following data collection, the dataset was downloaded from KBTB and cleaned for subsequent analysis.ConclusionThe design of a versatile form and oral health questionnaire template using digital tools customised for elite athletes was useful for efficient, comprehensive field data collection. DDC tools are convenient for data form design, collection, and storage. This template can be easily modified for use by other researchers planning oral health surveys.

Safe Use of Contrast Media in Radiology (Clinical Guidelines)

In recent years, the frequency of contrast-enhanced radiological studies has increased significantly, and the issues of their selection and rational use do not lose their relevance. These methodological recommendations represent a complete up-to-date guide for using contrast agents (CA) in radiology. Types of currently used CA in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound examinations are described. Safety rules for injection of each CA type are systematized, the principles of dosing and possible side effects are explained. In addition, it is important to highlight the issues of interactions between CA and other drugs that patient might take, in particular, the possible deterioration of renal function when using CA in diabetes mellitus patients taking metformin. It should be noted that these recommendations have undergone significant changes in recent years. Also questionnaire templates for patients prior to the contrast-enhanced study are given in the supplements. The methodological guidelines are based on current publications of international experts on CA use in radiology as well as on the data of two major guidelines: American College of Radiologists (ACR) Guidelines (2023) and European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR) Safety Recommendations (2018, version 10). Thus, the information presented is validated, which provides grounds for its application in real clinical practice. The guidelines will be actualized as new scientific evidence becomes available, but to date they appear to be the most relevant.

Effectiveness of Homeopathic Medicine in Canine Urinary Incontinence: Outcomes of Owner Response Survey

With advances in data collection via electronic surveys, they have become a popular tool for researchers especially with the changes in normalcy caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. During this pandemic period, previously collected traditional format paper data on Homeopet ™ ‘Leaks No More’ was collated, analysed, written up, reviewed, and published Farrington TJ and Smith . The current study was again an owner response survey like the previous studies but done electronically. In the case of this Homeopet™ 'Leaks No More' survey, the selection criteria used to identify eligible participants who had purchased the product directly from the manufacturer's website helped to ensure that the responses collected were from genuine product users including first time and repeat users. This helped to eliminate potential bias in the responses and ensured that the data collected was of high quality. It ensured elimination of spurious responses and replies from unverified users. The use of gratuities only to those who agreed to provide fully completed surveys containing a true assessment of their pets' responses with an email and other contact details including agreement to be contacted helped to improve the response rate and quality of data collected. In fact the normal verifying of email addresses and names of respondents was turned off for data protection requirements after collection before sending data to analyst and authors removing only from them ability to cross-reference to an original mail shot offering the survey to people who had joined the mailing list on Homeopets own sales site, the researchers were after completion of the paper able to ensure that the data collected was authentic and reliable without exposing any personal data for the participants from the survey collection while still ensuring it was verifiable. Overall, electronic surveys have proven to be a more successful and time-efficient way of collecting data compared to traditional methods as shown in this research paper. The high-quality data collected in this study will be valuable for future research and product development in the field of complementary medicine for pets. Methods and Outcomes: An online questionnaire template was developed using questionnaires from the previous studies and he decision was to use SurveyMonkey® as the mode of delivery to participants. Homeopet™ LLC employed an independent consultant to design and develop the front end for owner response input and the back end for data collection. Ms Jenny Doran Halcyon Days Ltd. worked with Dr Farrington and his team, some external individuals unfamiliar with the project (to ensure the public would understand the questionnaire fully), including staff at Homeopet familiar with the process, to test prototype versions of the SurveyMonkey® and tailor them to the projects requirements till the entire team came to a consensus acceptable to Homeopet™ in the time constraints available. The survey was then made available online with an invitation to participate added to the purchase process on the manufacturer’s website. Other online outlets were considered but were not open to the authors having access to their customer information even for verification purposes. This outlet area is being worked on for future surveys.

Risk factors associated with Salmonella in dairy cattle farms in Henan and Hubei provinces, China

A cross-sectional study was conducted to evaluate the risk factors associated with the Salmonella infection status of dairy herds in Henan and Hubei provinces, China. Herds were assigned a Salmonella status based on the isolation of Salmonella from fecal samples obtained from adult lactating dairy cows. Information on potential biosecurity risk factors was collected using a questionnaire template via a 15-min face-to-face interview with dairy cattle producers from May 2020 to March 2021. The questionnaire consisted of 23 questions across two broad categories of potential biosecurity risk factors: farm and biosecurity managemental factors. A total of 48 farms were surveyed. In all (100%, 48/48) of the surveyed farms, although sick animals were separated from healthy animals using fencing, there were no strict quarantine protocols for newly introduced animals. Mixed species rearing was practiced in 35.4% (17/48) of the farms. Feces were removed more than once a day in 45.8% (22/48) of the farms, whereas the remainder (54.2%, 26/48) only removed animal feces once a day. A total of 29.2% (14/48) of the farms were located < 2 km from other livestock farms. The use of personal protective equipment was consistently performed on all farms, with a majority of the workers on most farms (81.3%, 39/48) always disinfecting footwear before entering production areas. A significant association between Salmonella-positive status and the high frequency of the presence of wildlife (birds and rodents in sheds and feed storage places) was recorded (OR: 11.9, 95% CI: 1.7, 84.1, p = 0.013). Fortunately, no farms shared farm equipment with other farms. The study highlights the occurrence of wildlife as a risk factor for the presence of Salmonella in investigated dairy herds. There is a need to institute appropriate on-farm control measures for wild birds and rodents to control the potential spread of Salmonella in dairy production systems.

The prevalence of temporomandibular joint disorder in female students from 17 to 30 years at Taibah University in all colleges

Objective: This study aimed to assess the prevalence of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder (TMD) and its association with anxiety, college, all-day activities, and stress among female students at Taibah University. Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was carried out to develop a consensus of female students at Taibah University in all colleges from ages 17 to 30 years. The data were obtained through a questionnaire survey. A Google Drive questionnaire template was used. The questionnaire was sent to the participants through WhatsApp, SMS, and emails. Results: The study included 205 female students, with the majority of the participants falling between the ages of 17 and 23 years (78%). According to the presented data, 29.3% of participants reported having or presently experiencing issues with their jaw joints. The most prevalent symptom among those reported was a crackling sound (72.4%). Around 43.6% participants said that exercises were the most effective treatment for jaw problems, whereas 40% believed that medications were the most effective treatment. There was a significant correlation between age and having or currently suffering from jaw joint problems (p-value = 0.031). Conclusion: The current study highlighted the high prevalence of jaw joint problems, which is known as temporomandibular disorders among female university students of different colleges. The current study also reported that there are different factors that might be associated with aggravation and development of the Temporomandibular joint including stress, sleep disturbance, and changes in daily routine.

Heart Function and Ventricular Recovery After Percutaneous Closure of Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect in Children: A Cross-sectional Study

Background: Perimembranous ventricular septal defect (VSD) is the most common congenital heart defect. There is a trend for percutaneous VSD closure. However, little evidence is available for the effect of this method on ventricular remodeling. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effect of percutaneous closure of perimembranous VSD on cardiac function and ventricular recovery. Methods: A total of 46 pediatric patients (32 males vs. 14 females) who underwent transcatheter closure of perimembranous VSD from 2010 to 2020 were randomly included in the study. Data regarding the demographic profile, angiographic records, and follow-up echocardiography were extracted from their files and recorded in questionnaire templates. The echocardiographic parameters were recorded and compared with published Z-scores for the corresponding age groups. Results: The mean duration of follow-up was 15.76 ± 12.20 months. In M-mode echocardiography, 84.6% had interventricular septum diastolic diameter Z-score ≥ 2; 23.8% had interventricular septum systolic diameter Z-score ≥ 2; 38.5% had left ventricular internal diameter in diastole Z-score ≥ 2; 34.6% had left ventricular internal diameter in systole Z-score ≥ 2; and 65.4% had left ventricular posterior wall in diastole Z-score ≥ 2. In the evaluation of Doppler and tissue Doppler, 36.4% of the patients had a Z-score ≥ 2 for E/Ea of tricuspid. Also, VSD size had a positive correlation with interventricular septal diameter in systole Z-score (P = 0.015, r = 0.537). Conclusions: In the midterm follow-up after percutaneous perimembranous VSD closure, left ventricular dilation and hypertrophy persisted in a significant number of patients. However, early closure of the VSD, especially in patients with lower weight could affect ventricular hemodynamics and remodeling.

275 Feasibility and Patient Satisfaction of Intra-Detrusor Botulinum Toxin (Botox) Injections Under Local Anaesthetic (LA) In the Outpatient Setting

Abstract Introduction Intra-detrusor Botox injections for overactive bladder has shifted to being performed under local anaesthetic rather than general anaesthetic to improve cost and efficiency. However, it may cause the patient pain and discomfort. We aim to assess the feasibility of LA Botox injections in the outpatient setting and to evaluate patient satisfaction. Method Our first cycle assessed whether patients would consider intra-detrusor Botox injections under local anaesthetic in the outpatient setting. Our services were then restructured to run LA Botox clinics. Our second cycle then assessed the patient satisfaction of these clinics using the client satisfaction questionnaire (CSQ-8) template. Results The first cycle showed that 70% (14/20) of patients would consider having outpatient Botox injections under LA. A potential annual saving of £88,434 was estimated. The second cycle showed a high patient satisfaction rate with an average CSQ-8 score of 30/32 in 16 patients who had Botox injections in the outpatient setting. 9 patients reported being “very satisfied” with our service and the remainder reported being “mostly satisfied” Conclusions LA Botox injections in the clinic setting has a high patient satisfaction rate and can provide considerable cost savings. Suitable patients should have LA intra-detrusor Botox injections in the outpatient setting where possible.

Identification of farmers problems for development intervention programme: a case study facilitated by the political head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD), North West Province

The study intended to identify the problems of the farmers and prioritise them for extension intervention. The study was facilitated by the political head of the department within a hundred days of the resumption of duty. Meetings were facilitated through district offices of both the department and municipalities. The identification of farmers’ problems focused mainly on production, financial and infrastructural projects. &#x0D; Data was collected through a participatory rural appraisal approach. Farmers were allowed to express problems affecting them in a meeting setup. The extension officers (E.O) captured problems expressed by farmers and classify them according to the questionnaire template developed. &#x0D; The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to capture and analyse data. The data was presented to extension officers and management of DARD. The major findings of the study revealed that :( 1) Water supply, (2) Availability of land, (3) Livestock theft, (4) production inputs, (5) Machinery, and (6) fencing were major problems of the farmers. The recommendation of the study was that: (a) Problems be resolved according to their importance and (b) preference for implementation of extension intervention programmes to be a bottom-up than a top-down approach.

Perspectives of Indonesian Orthodontists on the Ideal Orthodontic Treatment Time.

ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to explore the types of orthodontic treatment provided by Indonesian orthodontists and to analyse their perspectives on the ideal time to initiate orthodontic treatment.Materials and MethodsA cross‑sectional survey was conducted using the Google Drive questionnaire template. This electronic questionnaire was sent to a sample of orthodontists across different regions of Indonesia. The participants were asked to report the stage at which they would start orthodontic treatment, as well as answer questions about occlusal abnormalities and functional problems. Descriptive statistics for all variables were determined, including both practice characteristics and orthodontic treatment timing.ResultsA total of 152 orthodontists agreed to participate in the study, of which 64.5% were female and 35.5% were male. Indonesian orthodontists prefer two-phase orthodontic treatment. Sucking habits and open bite were found to be the most frequent indications for treatment in the primary dentition. Anterior crossbite was found to be the most frequent indication for treatment during the early mixed dentition stage. Severe Class II was found to be the most frequent indication for treatment during the late mixed dentition stage. Indonesian orthodontists are more concerned about impacted canines and midline diastema than other occlusal deviations in the permanent dentition.ConclusionBased on the results of this study, we can conclude that Indonesian orthodontists favor two-phase orthodontic treatment. They also prefer to treat sucking habits and open bite in the primary dentition, anterior crossbite in the early mixed dentition, and severe Class II during the late mixed dentition stage.

Evaluation of Perception of II Year MBBS Students Regarding A Clinical Forensic Medicine Module in a Tertiary Care Centre

Background: Besides providing treatment to patients in medico legal cases, a competent medical practitioner is legally bound to collect all necessary evidence material from the body of patients which may help in the investigation of the crime and to aid in the court of law towards justice. In India, the current practice of theoretical teaching of students in Forensic Medicine towards handling medicolegal cases is not enough to deliver clinical skills effectively in handling medico-legal cases. Aims &amp; Objectives: This study was undertaken with objectives to evaluate students perception on Clinical Forensic Medicine and impart them a hands on training towards handling antemortem medico legal cases. Material &amp; Method: It was an educational interventional study, including 125 second MBBS undergraduate students. At the end of module, the students’ responses towards educational project on Clinical Forensic Medicine were collected in the form of a pre-validated questionnaire template. Results &amp; Conclusion: About 52 % students responded as agreed and 29 % strongly agreed with the questionnaires at the end of this module. Students favoured Clinical Forensic Medicine Module as an effective teaching/learning method to learn on the basics of handling medico legal cases.

A questionnaire of knowledge, attitude and practices on tuberculosis among medical interns in Nepal

BackgroundTuberculosis (TB) remains a major health problem worldwide, including in Nepal where around 33,000 new cases of TB were diagnosed in 2018 and 5400 patients died. There are challenges in the diagnostic process, treatment, and follow-up. Deaths, increased transmission and development of multi- drug resistant TB could be the consequences. Young doctors play an important role in this struggle, and therefore, their knowledge of and attitudes towards TB are crucial. ObjectiveWe surveyed medical interns in Nepal regarding their knowledge, attitude and practices on TB and their adherence to the National Tuberculosis Programmes’ guidelines. The objective was to determine the associations between TB knowledge, and attitude and the factors that influence them. MethodsA WHO cross-sectional questionnaire template was modified and piloted. It was distributed anonymously among medical interns at three private medical colleges. Statistical analyses were performed to establish possible associations between TB knowledge and attitude, and the investigated variables, and to investigate differences between the medical colleges. ResultsOf 270 interns, 185 (69%) interns were included. The mean knowledge score was 13,3 (SD: 2,12) of a maximum of 19. The possible attitude scores ranged from zero to 14 points, whereas the mean attitudes score was 9,4 (SD: 1,89). Some unacceptable attitudes and knowledge gaps were identified, including disease detection and management. There was an association between the knowledge score and attitude score and between the number of TB patients seen and knowledge/attitude. ConclusionThe surveyed interns had an adequate level of TB related knowledge, and acceptable attitudes. However, some unacceptable knowledge gaps and attitudes were detected. This survey underlines the considerable need of closing these knowledge gaps, and improving the attitudes, for which it is important for medical students to practice at a TB clinic and see a certain number of TB patients.

Mobilizing Knowledge: A Comprehensive Toolkit for Quality Assured Nutrition Data and Piloting Gender Indicators

Abstract Objectives Nutrition International (NI) sought to standardize and add novel indicators to the multiple coverage surveys conducted each year on maternal, newborn, infant and child nutrition programs to assure quality and timely, gender-related data that meets next-generation monitoring needs. Methods In collaboration with Campbell Collaboration (CC) and University of Toronto (UT), NI developed a comprehensive step-wise survey toolkit with multiple intervention modules using a systematic process for selecting and contextualizing indicators (NI), validating data quality (NI-UT) and piloting gender indicators derived based on statistical modelling results using Demographic and Health Survey gender and nutrition related data (CC-NI). The resulting Nutrition Information Monitoring Systems (NIMS) toolkit now includes ODK formatted questionnaire templates, quality control and assurance checklists and ready-to-use SPSS syntax for data analysis and interpretation purposes. NIMS derives its results from household-level information through the following modules: zinc and Oral Rehydration Salts coverage for diarrhea treatment, maternal-newborn nutrition, weekly iron-folic acid supplementation among adolescent girls, and infant and young child nutrition – each with selected knowledge components and newly-devised gender-related questions to inform NI's nutrition-sensitive programs. Selected modules were implemented in NI's ten intervention countries 2019–20. Results Application of these procedures and quality metrics allowed NI program officers to: 1) systematically assess quality during data collection – identifying and correcting surveyor errors and potential sampling bias in a timely fashion, 2) validate and visually demonstrate data quality to relevant stakeholders, and 3) produce quality assured data within 1–3 weeks, compared to 1–3 months for previous surveys that did not use the NIMS procedures and tools. Conclusions This systematic approach facilitated reporting timely, quality assured nutrition program data to inform how NI interventions and gender-related analyses will identify how NI's programming can be more gender-responsive. Layout Optimization for Online Questionnaires on Mobile Devices

Participants increasingly use mobile devices, especially smartphones, to fill out online questionnaires. However, standard questionnaire templates are often not optimized for presentation on smartphones, raising the question of whether an unfavorable layout may influence the survey results. In this study, interaction with questionnaires on different devices was investigated regarding processing time, data quality, and user experience of the questionnaire itself. Several standard and newly developed questionnaire layout templates were evaluated by means of an online study (N=301). Results show that processing times are higher on smartphones compared to desktop computers. However, there were no differences regarding data quality. The comparison of different mobile layouts among smartphone users revealed effects on processing time and user experience. Design recommendations are derived.

Development of an evidence-based Evaluation Toolkit for suicide prevention networks in regional Australia.

Suicide is a global public health concern, particularly for those living in rural, regional and remote areas. Despite numerous prevention initiatives, suicide continues to impact individuals, families and communities. Suicide prevention networks are an innovative, community-based approach to addressing suicide within local government areas. Anecdotally, suicide prevention networks make an important contribution to suicide prevention, yet frameworks for evaluating their impact do not exist. The purpose of this project was to develop an Evaluation Toolkit to be used by suicide prevention networks throughout South Australia to monitor their impact. Participatory action research was used to work with one suicide prevention network in regional South Australia to co-design and produce the Evaluation Toolkit. One regional South Australian town, with an established suicide prevention network. The development of an Evaluation Toolkit, to allow all South Australian suicide prevention networks to measure their impact in a consistent manner. The Evaluation Toolkit has been made freely available in electronic form and as a hard copy booklet for use by all South Australian suicide prevention networks. The purpose of this project was to develop the Evaluation Toolkit. Formal assessment of its usability and effectiveness is yet to be undertaken, but preliminary anecdotal evidence indicates aspects of the Evaluation Toolkit are useful, especially the questionnaire templates that can be adapted and used to evaluate various community events. Participatory action research is a useful method for working with community-based suicide prevention groups.

A description of biosecurity practices among selected dairy farmers across Australia

Aims The study investigated critical biosecurity control points and dairy farmers’ motivations towards biosecurity practices among selected dairy farmers across Australia. Methods A questionnaire template was administered via an online survey. A three-stage process was used to develop the questionnaire by pooling of potential questions, selection and reduction of the questions to fit an 8–10 min survey. Key results A total of 55 responses were obtained. Mixed species rearing was practiced on 69% of the farms, with a majority keeping either sheep or beef cattle within the same property as dairy cattle. Approximately half of the farms (49%) did not provide formal training to new staff on aspects of animal health, as well as not conducting bull breeding soundness. Most of the farms (98%) required staff to use personal protective equipment, such as overalls and gumboots, but only a few of the farms (34%) had designated areas to clean footwear and a system for recording visitors (17%). Record keeping pertaining to animal health, maintenance of good fences and use of vendor declaration forms was practiced in a majority of the farms. The practice of quarantining new stock before mixing with other stock was practiced in only 45% of the farms. Monthly herd health visits by a veterinarian were utilised by 55% of the farms. Multivariable analysis showed positive significant associations between mixed species rearing with the practice of regular pest control (P = 0.004) and use of footbaths (P = 0.024) and no biosecurity plan (P = 0.025). Furthermore, a positive significant association was also recorded on the presence of a biosecurity plan and the presence of a designated area to clean footwear (P = 0.002) and no regular deworming (P = 0.024). Animal and human health reasons were the main motivators for implementing and maintaining ‘best practice’ biosecurity practices, whereas government regulation was the lowest motivator. Conclusions It is concluded that the biosecurity practices were variable, and animal and human health reasons were the primary motivators for instituting biosecurity practices. Implications There is a need to continue educating farmers on the importance of biosecurity practices.

Definition of approaches to complex research of information educational environment in general, professional and additional education systems

Introduction and goal. The article deals with the actual problem of the lack of assessment of the current state and effectiveness of the functioning of the information educational environment of individual educational organizations, at the regional and national level. The purpose of the described research was to determine the approaches to assessing the state of such an environment in the systems of general, vocational and additional education. Materials and methods. The definition of approaches to the assessment of the modern stage of the formation and development of information educational media has been carried out on the basis of the method of modeling, analytical activity, the use of elements of graph theory, and the analysis of scientific literature. Provides for the use of telecommunication technologies to collect the necessary information. Results. The stages and technologies for carrying out a comprehensive study of the state of the information educational environment in systems of general, vocational and additional education have been developed and described. Such stages include the preliminary construction of a scientifically based model, the development of computer tools, including questionnaire templates for surveys of workers and students of educational institutions, the collection and statistical processing of data, a comparative analysis of the existing stage of development of the information educational environment and the results of previous studies, the publication of analysis results and developed recommendations in telecommunication networks. The proposed technology provides for the possibility of a unified collection and publication of information on examples of the most effective practical experience in the formation and use of information educational environments. Conclusions. The developed approaches application will make it possible to identify measures aimed at improving the efficiency of projects for the formation and development of information educational environments and will contribute to a more accurate forecasting of the prospects for informatization of education.

Prevalence and related factors of Salmonella spp. and Salmonella Typhimurium contamination among broiler farms in Kerman province, Iran

Salmonella is one of the most important pathogens in the poultry industry that not only causes financial and economic damage, but also, some serovars of this bacterium, including the S. Typhimurium, can infect humans through poultry-to-human transmission. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of this pathogen among broiler poultry houses in the Kerman region, southeast of Iran and to identify factors which could increase the risk for Salmonella contamination in the chickens. In a cross-sectional study, 110 poultry houses were surveyed from June to October 2018. Twenty-eight variables related to the prevalence of Salmonella contamination were considered by a questionnaire template with farmers' and laborers' help. Also, the prevalence of Salmonella in poultry manure was determined based on fecal sampling, microbiological tests and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique. A multivariable logistic regression model was developed to measure the influence of independent variables on Salmonella contamination.Results showed that a time interval less than one month between the two breeding periods (OR = 6.530), the number of fans less than 5 in each poultry house (OR = 4.094) and the number of houses less than 4 in each farm significantly increased the probability of infection with Salmonella spp. (ORs were respectively 9.650, 29.427 and 7.140 for one, two and three houses). Also, the results of multivariable logistic regression showed that the use of a bell drinking system (OR = 4.379) and the presence of fewer than 5 fans in each poultry house (OR = 2.512) increased significantly the risk of infection with Salmonella Typhimurium.

PND113 DESIGN OF THE INDIVIDUALISED PARKINSON'S DEPENDENT QUALITY OF LIFE (PARKINSON'SDQOL) AND THE PARKINSONS TREATMENT SATISFACTION QUESTIONNAIRE (PARKINSON'STSQ) USING TEMPLATES AND ITEM LIBRARIES FROM EXISTING DQOL AND TSQ MEASURES FOR OTHER CONDITIONS

Parkinson’s disease is a chronic, neurodegenerative disorder affecting around 145,000 people in the UK. Measures of quality of life (QoL) and treatment satisfaction are important for Parkinson’s treatment trials, in determining the efficacy and acceptability of treatments. This paper describes the design of the individualised Parkinson’s Dependent Quality of life (Parkinson’sDQoL) and the Parkinson’s Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire (Parkinson’sTSQ). Nineteen people with Parkinson’s disease, recruited from Cambridge and Newcastle services, were interviewed about the impact of Parkinson’s on their QoL and their experience of treatment to design questionnaires needed for a research programme on visual hallucinations in people with Parkinson’s, dementia, or eye disease (SHAPED). A draft Parkinson’sDQoL, based on the questionnaire template from the Audit of Diabetes Dependent Quality of Life (ADDQoL), included selected items from a library of items from all condition-specific -DQoL measures. Initial item selection was guided by the literature on the effects of Parkinson’s on QoL. Draft items were modified, removed and added as needed within and between interviews until no further changes were required. The Parkinson’sTSQ was similarly modelled on a template from the Diabetes Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire (DTSQ) and library of items from all condition-specific -TSQs. Participants included 8 women, 11 men (M=73.17 years, SD=6.97, range=64-83): 3 were single, 16 married. The 23-item Parkinson’sDQoL designed includes 15 items unchanged and 6 modified from the -DQoL library, and 2 new items (making myself understood and taking care of my health). The Parkinson’sTSQ has 11 items, all from the -TSQ library with no modifications. The existing –DQoL and –TSQ templates and item libraries facilitated the design of new measures for people with Parkinson’s. Psychometric analyses are underway to establish the optimal selection of items for scoring on common metrics to allow for comparison with –DQoL and –TSQ measures for other conditions.

Palliative Care Management System

This project develops a prototype of data management system for Palliative care systems. The current demo focus on demonstrating how their questionnaires can be conducted, stored and analyzed in a single website using latest NodeJS and MongoDB technologies. This web application provides a modern UI interface with easy-to-use features for hospice administrator, social workers and candidate patients. Hospice administrator can create new questionnaire, edit existing questionnaire template and analyze all the questionnaire information. Social workers can see their patients and corresponding questionnaire, creating or editing a questionnaire for his patients. Candidate patients, after being invited to the system, can also use the system to complete their own questionnaire. This new system will not only help improve the quality and efficiency of the current questionnaire interview process but will also help the Hospice staff to make better use of the information collected from the questionnaire. Information retrieval and analysis will be much easier and accurate with the new system, and various sentimental analysis tools can be applied to better understanding the patient’s information.

Characteristics of the level of economic security of Ukraine in the agrarian sector

Purpose. Economic security is an important component of any system, whether it is a state or a society, or a family. It reflects the ability to maintain and create conditions for restoring economic well-being and protecting interests. According to the political situation in Ukraine, the protection of economic security has become one of the most important issues for resolution. In recent years, the agrarian sector has become one of the key parts for GDP since the industrial business has now turned to the background. The purpose of the article is to determine the economic security level in the agrarian sector. Methodology. The authors have used the questionnaire method and have made a survey in 67 Ukrainian companies which are operating in the agriculture in the Lviv region, Ukraine. The survey was conducted from June to July 2018. Findings. Survey results show that enterprises have an extremely negative attitude to the state of economic security of the country. However, it should be noted that entrepreneurs believe that the level of economic security of their business is at a higher level in comparing with the level of economic security of the country. Research limitations/implications. As noted above, the study was conducted at 67 agribusiness enterprises in the Lviv region. In the future, this study may be the basis for the same research in other regions of Ukraine. Practical implications. In the questionnaire template, we have made the list of methods which can help to prevent the effects of negative factors that could damage the company's economic security. The list of these measures can be used by enterprises in practice to ensure a high level of its security. Originality/Value. It should be noted that the originality of our work is that we have combined the research of two areas: the economic security of the company and agribusiness. We have identified the main problems of agrarian sector in ensuring the economic security of enterprises and provided a list of methods to improve the level of this type of security, the use of which will lead to a better functioning of the firm.
