Awareness, acceptability, congruency, and attainability of an academic institution’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives

<p><span lang="EN-US">The mandate of Isabela State University is to deliver higher learning in the arts, agriculture, natural sciences, technology, and specialized disciplines. Hence, the institution executes a strategic vision, mission, goals, and objectives (VMGO) to meet the expectations of its stakeholders. This research examined the degree of stakeholders’ awareness, acceptance and understanding of the Isabela State University, College of Business, Accountancy, and Public Administration’s (ISU-CBAPA) VMGO; its congruence with the educational approaches of the faculty and resources of the institution in delivering quality education; and whether the program goals and objectives of the business programs were attained. A quantitative descriptive research method was used. The results indicate that the respondents are generally highly aware of the ISU-CBAPA VMGO and its dissemination. The respondents perfectly understand and accept the ISU-CBAPA VMGO and highly perceive the extent of its congruence with academic strategies, practices, and activities. In addition, all respondents perceived that the ISU-CBAPA VMGO is being realized and favorably attained, despite the significant differences found. Recommendations include intensifying VMGO dissemination to external stakeholders, emphasizing VMGO commitments toward its realization, and emphasizing improvement on the students’ development of professional skills, research capabilities, and competencies, and their readiness for employment and/or managing a business.</span></p>

Profile of toddler pneumonia cases in Soewandhie Regional Hospital, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia: A descriptive study

Introduction: Pneumonia stands as a leading cause of mortality among children under five, trailing only behind diarrhea in Indonesia, where it has claimed the lives of 740,180 young children. This study endeavors to provide a comprehensive overview of toddler pneumonia specifically within the confines of Soewandhie Regional Hospital, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Objective: The primary objective of this research is to gain insight into the prevalence and characteristics of toddler pneumonia cases at Soewandhie Regional Hospital, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Method: Employing descriptive quantitative methods with a cross-sectional design, the study recruited a sample of 35 toddlers meeting predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria through consecutive sampling. Data collection occurred within the Seruni room at Soewandhie Hospital, utilizing a combination of medical records examination and interviews with the families of the toddlers. Result: Among the sampled toddlers, a significant majority (65.7%) were diagnosed with pneumonia. Analysis revealed that a notable portion (51.4%) fell within the age range of 12-23 months, with a slight majority being female (54.3%). Maternal ages predominantly ranged from 20 to 35 years, while paternal ages were concentrated between 25 and 40 years (28.6%). Moreover, 17.1% of the toddlers had previously experienced pneumonia, and a majority (82.9%) were born at term with normal body weights (91.4%). Notably, two toddlers lacked complete parental care due to parental death. Conclusion: The findings underscore the significant burden of pneumonia among toddlers at Soewandhie Hospital. Future research endeavors could benefit from expanding the sample size and investigating additional factors contributing to toddler pneumonia incidence.

EFFECTIVENESS OF MENTAL MATH STRATEGY IN TEACHING MATHEMATICS TO GRADE 1 LEARNERS

The research findings unveil significant insights into the effectiveness of a mental math strategy in enhancing the mathematical performance of grade 1 learners. Initially, both control and experimental groups exhibited satisfactory performance attributed to foundational knowledge acquired in kindergarten and initial grade 1 lessons on addition and subtraction. Following the implementation of the mental math strategy, the control group maintained their satisfactory performance, while the experimental group showed remarkable improvement, highlighting the efficacy of instructional materials and drills associated with mental math. Moreover, techniques such as counting up or back and the use of number lines proved effective in augmenting students' mathematical abilities. Based on these findings, several recommendations are proposed. Firstly, schools and educators are urged to continue enriching students' understanding of whole number concepts using diverse instructional materials and technological resources. Secondly, teachers are encouraged to integrate mental math strategies into their teaching practices, leveraging various learning aids and visual tools to facilitate comprehension. Additionally, both educators and parents are advised to employ counting techniques and number lines through interactive methods such as games and drills to enhance math learning outcomes. Lastly, collaborative learning environments should be fostered, allowing students to engage in problem-solving tasks together, thereby promoting teamwork and peer support while utilizing different mental math strategies. The study's Design and Methodology section provides a comprehensive outline of the research approach, including data collection tools and ethical considerations, employing a descriptive quantitative method to evaluate the efficacy of the mental math strategy in teaching addition.

Abstract. This study aims to determine the level of ability to listen to German language texts for class XII students at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Data collection uses a written test or objective test which consists of multiple choice, true-false and questionnaire. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using percentage techniques. The population in this study were class XII students at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, which consisted of 4 classes with 144 students. The sample of this research was students of class XII IPA 3 as many as 33 students who were selected using purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that the ability to listen to German language texts for class XII students at SMA Negeri 8 Makassar is in the sufficient category (65%).Keyword: Language ability, Text, German Language

Kemampuan Membaca Memahami Dongeng Berbahasa Jerman “Frau Holle”

Abstract. This study aims to determine the ability to read and understand the German fairy tale "Frau Holle" of Class XII students at SMAN 8 Makassar and the factors that influence the ability to read and understand German fairy tales for class XII students at SMAN 8 Makassar. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Data collection using written tests and questionnaires. Data analysis using percentage technique. The population in this study were students of class XII IPA 1, XII IPA 2 and XII IPA 3 at SMAN 8 Makassar. The sample in this study were 32 students of class XII IPA 3 at SMAN 8 Makassar. The results of this study indicate that the ability to read and understand the German fairy tale “Frau Holle” for class XII students at SMAN 8 Makassar is in the very good category (87.5%). There are two factors that influence the ability to read and understand the German-language fairy tale "Frau Holle", namely the supporting factors that come from within the students themselves and from the availability of German books at school and the inhibiting factors in the form of the attitude of intelligence of students who think that German language is difficult and external factors, namely the school environment.Keyword: Ability, Reading, Understanding, German Fairy Tales

The Effect of Organizational Justice and Islamic Work Ethos on Job Satisfaction at Employees PT. Sunjin HJ. Serang District

This study aims to find out the effect of organizational justice and Islamic work ethos on job satisfaction at employees PT. Sunjin HJ. Serang District. This was a research that used descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed that (1) there is a positive and significant effect of organizational justice on job satisfaction. Shown by the value of t is greater than the t table (3.833 > 2.021) and the value is smaller than the alpha value (0.000 < 0.05). (2) There is an effect of Islamic work ethos on job satisfaction. Shown by the value of t is greater than the t table (5.568 > 2.021) and the value is smaller than the alpha value (0.000 < 0.05). (3) Both organizational justice and Islamic work ethos have a positive effect (69.4%) on job satisfaction at employees PT. Sunjin HJ. Serang District. The Influence of Digital Wallets in Increasing Business in the F&B and Online Shop Fields

This study aims to determine how influential digital wallets are in increasing businesses in the field of food and beverages and online shops. Researchers took a descriptive quantitative research method. From the results of the study, digital wallets have a positive and significant effect on increasing sales in the food and beverage sector. Then it also shows significantly and positively that digital wallets affect increasing business sales in the online shop. Furthermore, the results of this study also show together that there is an influence between increasing food and beverage sales and increasing online shop business on digital wallets with contributions of 56.767% and 4.434%. MOTIVASI EWOM PADA KONSUMEN KHALIFAH TOUR BANDUNG

In the digital era, communication and information sharing have undergone a significant transformation. This has also impacted Word of Mouth (WOM), evolving from traditional methods to Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM). Khalifah Tour, as an Umrah and Hajj travel company, utilizes the internet for promotion and encourages eWOM from its consumers. This study aims to identify the conditions and determine the most dominant motivations for consumers to send eWOM regarding Khalifah Tour. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method with 95 respondents from a population of 1695 individuals. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The result of this research, Khalifah Tour consumers exhibit motivations for eWOM such as altruism and venting feelings. However, the most dominant motivation is self-enhancement. Khalifah Tour consumers demonstrate diverse motivations for engaging in eWOM, with self-enhancement being the most dominant, indicating a desire to portray their positive image to others. Work-life balance and job satisfaction among faculty in selected nursing schools in Sulu

Balancing one’s life with all of the responsibilities they have and be able to find joy in it is one of the best things that one can have in life. However, the ideal concept of work and life balance is not achieved due to certain factors that have a great impact in real life experience. Using the quantitative descriptive method, this study aims to assess the work life balance and job satisfaction among faculty members selected from nursing schools in Sulu. The findings revealed that they have a positive view with regards to the concept of work life balance, but uncertain in terms of workload and leave policies. They also have a positive outcome with the concept of job satisfaction. Lastly, it was also found out that work life balance played a big role in improving the job satisfaction of faculty members in nursing schools. These findings suggest that school administrators shall formulate better policies and guidelines among faculty members in a way to strategize the assignment of workloads. Moreover, an open communication among faculty and other school officials shall happen to determine the expectations and set the standards that will meet the school’s improvement while not compromising the well being of the teaching force.

Survey Study of the Importance of Cultural Diplomacy of Indonesia in Azerbaijan

Since the existence of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Azerbaijan, Indonesia began to strengthen its relations with Azerbaijan massively through cultural diplomacy through performances as well as cultural events. Furthermore, the cultural diplomacy of Indonesia and Azerbaijan is also conducted through cultural scholarship, the study of the Indonesian language, as well as learning its dances in the embassy for Azeri students. This study aims to describe the importance of Indonesia's cultural diplomacy in Azerbaijan by employing a descriptive quantitative research method in which the data is obtained through the primary survey conducted by the author. The study found that utilising culture in Indonesia’s diplomatic practices in Azerbaijan is a paramount thing to building a strong bond and trust between countries, especially at the young age of the embassy existence in Azerbaijan.

A TRACER STUDY OF BACHELOR IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION GRADUATES FROM ACADEMIC YEAR 2018 TO 2023

This quantitative descriptive study aimed to determine the profile of the 118 Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) graduates from the Academic Year 2018 to 2023 at Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology (KCAST). This tracer study involves the gathering of quantitative information through the use of online survey forms to get the necessary data, the study employed the descriptive quantitative technique of research. According to findings, 65% of graduates are currently employed, with the majority of them holding full-time jobs, the remaining 35% are not working yet because of their job preferences. Further, the results showed that 44% are working full-time, 25% are working on contractual basis, 10% in regular positions, 2% are working part-time, and another 1% are self-employed. Then, 43% are employed in the government, 18% as office-based clerk, 9% as sales agent/representatives, 18% as account specialist, 8% as marketing specialist, and the remaining 4% as call center agent. The level of attitude to work obtained a very high descriptive rating which means that the public administration graduates always manifested the said behavior. The quality education provisions of the institution as well as skills and abilities development obtained a high descriptive rating which means that the public administration graduates manifested the influence of the factor as extensive. It is recommended that to achieve the programs core academic goals and objectives, the institution should strengthen its connections, collaborations, and partnerships with other governmental and non-governmental organizations. The Effect of the Tourism Sector on Economic Growth in Indonesia

This study uses descriptive quantitative methods to explain the influence of the tourism sector on economic growth in Indonesia in the 2006–2021 period. The Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model is the model chosen to explain the influence between variables. The variables used in projecting the tourism sector in this study are foreign exchange receipts in the tourism sector, the number of workers in the tourism industry, and travel services. The results showed that foreign exchange receipts in the tourism and travel services sectors positively influence Indonesia’s economic growth. Conversely, the variable number of workers in the tourism industry is detrimental to economic growth in Indonesia. Furthermore, it is known that foreign exchange receipts in the tourism sector and workers in the tourism industry significantly impact economic growth in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the increase in travel services in Indonesia has not been able to contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth in the 2006–2021 time period.

Public Knowledge About the Use of Toga as Food to Improve Health

Toga is a cultural or maintenance plant that is natural and easy to obtain and easy to grow in the yard of the house. Toga is used as family medicine, one of which can also be used by processing toga as food. The purpose of this study is to find out how public knowledge after being given information about the use of toga as food to improve health. This study used quantitative descriptive method with pre test &; post test data collection. Data was collected through interviews with the community, and supported by documentation. The results of this study stated that public knowledge about the use of toga as food to improve health in Biology subjects on the subject of Biodiversity, Toga as food to improve health that the calculated t value (10.850) with a significant value of 0.000 is greater than 0.05. That is, there is an increase in public knowledge about efforts to improve health through the use of toga as food

FRACTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CORE DISKING FRACTURE SURFACES

The morphological characteristics of core disking can reflect the in-situ stress field characteristics to a certain extent, but a quantitative description method for disking-induced fracture surfaces is needed. The fractal geometry was introduced to refine the three-dimensional characteristics of the core disking fracture surfaces, and the disking mechanism was explored through morphological characteristics. The innovative concentric-different scale method was proposed to divide the circular surfaces into square surfaces of different sizes. Furthermore, the applicability of four cubic covering methods for single fractal calculation was studied. Finally, the relative differential cubic covering method and multifractal method were used to calculate the three-dimensional data of core disking fracture surfaces in the Jinping area. The results showed that the concentric-different scale method fits the fractal dimension changing law in the exploration of different surface sizes. Using the differential cubic covering method and the relative differential cubic covering method can obtain good results for smoother surfaces. The disking was caused by tensile stress due to high crustal stress unloading, and the cracks originated from the inside of the core. Fractal theory is conducive to analyzing the morphology of rock fracture surfaces and provides guidance for exploring the failure mechanism and influencing factors.

The Relationship of Power Lemb Agility and Hip Joint Fitness to the Results of the Mawashi Geri Kick in the Sport Branch of Karate

Athletes often practice, not all of them have mastered the mawashi geri kick technique, the lack of effective leg power, agility and flexibility of the hip joint when the athlete performs the mawashi geri kick attack has an effect on the athlete's performance not being optimal. The aim of this research was to determine "the relationship between leg power, agility and hip joint flexibility on the results of mawashi geri kicks in the sport of karate". The research method uses quantitative descriptive methods with a correlational approach. The population in this study were Sukabumi City BKC athletes with a sampling technique using purposive sampling, so the research sample was 14 athletes who took part in the West Java BKC Provincial Championship. The results of the research show that: 1) there is a significant relationship between leg power and the results of the mawashi geri kick in the sport of karate, which is 53.80%. 2) there is a significant relationship between agility (X2) and the results of the mawashi geri kick in the sport of karate (Y) which is 55.40%. 3) there is a significant relationship between hip joint flexibility (X3) and the results of the mawashi geri kick in karate (Y) which is 55.60%. There are three independent variables, namely leg power, agility and hip joint flexibility, which together have a significant influence on the results of the mawashi geri kick in the sport of karate at the Bandung Karate Club (BKC) Sukabumi City, amounting to 74.50%.

ANALISIS TINGKAT EFISIENSI PENERIMAAN PAJAK DAERAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN ASLI DAERAH PADA TAHUN 2016-2020 DI KABUPATEN PURWOREJO

Regional development is the independence of a region which is an inseparable part of the success of policies decided by the government. In the state revenue and expenditure budget (APBN), the most significant state revenue target is obtained from the taxation sector. The taxation sector contributes significantly to a country's revenue and can be relied upon as financing for government development, especially regional development. The research was conducted with the aim of analyzing how much the rate of development and the level of effectiveness of local tax revenues in increasing Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Purworejo Regency. The data used is data on local taxes and local revenue of Purworejo Regency for a period of 5 years, namely 2016-2020 obtained from BPKPAD Purworejo Regency. The data analysis used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The results showed that the average development rate of local revenue was 18.04% and the average effectiveness rate of local tax revenue was 125.112%, indicating that the local tax revenue of Purworejo Regency was categorized or classified as very effective, so that the local government of Purworejo Regency needed to increase supervision, guidance and evaluation of local tax collection because it had made a large contribution to the local revenue of Purworejo Regency.

Literature Review: Development of Credit Union Research Topics Perspectives in The Field of Financial Accounting

In the modern era, technological developments are changing so rapidly that they are causing social imbalances, including in the business world. Current entities must be able to adapt to changes in the modern era, one of which is the non-profit Credit Union entity. The purpose of this research is to examine trends in mapping the development of Credit Union research because considering the current conditions, many non-profit entities need information to make decisions quickly, accurately and accountably. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods with a Literature Review model using VOSviewer and Publish or Perish. The data used is secondary data obtained from the official website of the Scopus journal. The research conducted focuses on the sub areas of Financial Inclusion, Consumer Welfare, Commercial Banks and Cooperatives. The research results found a total of 200 Scopus articles from 2018 to 2024 and sorting was carried out to find articles that were relevant to Credit Unions. The results of this sorting found 59 Credit Union articles. Thus, the sample size of this research was 59 articles from the 200 articles found. The development of Credit Unions with analysis of topics, keywords, authors, journal names, organizations and countries is the result of research mapping. Researchers also found that the development of Credit Union research fluctuated every year based on the results of the researchers' analysis. The contribution of this research is to provide an overview of a broader research area for future researchers in the Credit Union research topic focused on financial accounting.

Profile of students conservation attitudes in forest management and plant diversity management based on local wisdom

The diversity of plant species found in the Temedak customary forest is relatively high but residents should not use it freely. Residents are prohibited from cutting or taking wood from the forest, they can only take fruit, rattan and bamboo for their own consumption and must have the permission of local traditional leaders. The higher the diversity of plants found in the Temedak customary forest, the higher the threat from outside. This is evidenced by the theft of wood, bamboo and other plants in the Temedak customary forest carried out by irresponsible people. For this reason, conservation attitude profile data is needed to identify categories of each indicator of students' conservation attitudes in protecting and overcoming surrounding biodiversity problems. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. Research participants included housewives, village shamans, local or community leaders. The instruments used are in the form of field notes of interview guidelines and conservation attitude questionnaires. The questionnaire was in the form of 38 statements tested to XI MIPA SMA students consisting of 40 respondents. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the Temedak customary forest has endemic plant species, namely pacat wood (Harpullia arborea) and carrion flowers namely Amorphophallus gigas. There are 57 types of plants that generally used by the people of Keluru Village such as foodstuffs, buildings, medicins, wicker, local technology and art, as well as for the benefit or complement of traditional ceremonies. The results of obtaining student conservation attitudes from 40 respondents showed differences in each indicator.
