Pembinaan Karakter Santri dan Masyarakat di Pondok Pesantren di Kota Banjarbaru Melalui Pendidikan Biologi: Meningkatkan Kesadaran Lingkungan dan Kesehatan

This study aims to investigate the role of biology education in fostering the character of students and communities in Islamic Boarding Schools in Banjarbaru City. The main focus of the research is on increasing environmental and health awareness through biology learning methods. The research methods used involved surveys, interviews, and observations of students and communities involved in the biology education program at the boarding school. The results showed that character building through biology education has a positive impact on environmental and health awareness. Students and the community became more aware of the importance of protecting the environment and had better knowledge of good health practices. In addition, this study also identified factors that support or hinder the implementation of biology education as a means of character building in a boarding school environment. The findings provide an important contribution to the development of character education in the boarding school environment, particularly through the implementation of biology education as a means to increase environmental and health awareness. The implications of this study can be used as a foundation for the improvement and development of character building programs in boarding schools and also as an inspiration for other educational institutions that want to integrate character values through special subjects such as biology.

Developing Character Education with 4C Skills in Muhammadiyah Schools

The intracurricular learning process tends to lack high character values, especially Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah characters at Muhammadiyah Elementary Schools. Students only focus on the learning process with knowledge output. Attitudes and skills are often forgotten in the teaching and learning process. Students have not yet installed the 4C skills (critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity). This research is to develop a character education model in the intracurricular learning process, namely the Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah character education model for Muhammadiyah elementary school students. The AIK character education model will be developed with 4C skills (critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity) as the latest outcome that 4C skills are able to help and develop students' AIK character in thinking creatively and facing problems. It is hoped that the AIK character model based on 4C skills will be able to score AIK character scores with 4C skills in the intracurricular learning process at Muhammadiyah elementary schools. The purpose of education is none other than to shape the character and behaviour of individuals and learning groups in order to have a character spirit in accordance with the norms. In formal education, there has been a moral and moral crisis in students. Prophetic leadership is closely related to the formation of a person's behaviour and character, especially in the context of education that aims to educate and form morals. Prophetic leadership can have a significant impact on school organisations. Prophetic leadership plays an important role in the figure or example of people in the surrounding environment. This research was conducted at the level of Islamic basic education involving principals, teachers, and students related to the implications of the application of prophetic leadership on the development of character education in students. Data collection was done by interview and documentation. The data obtained in the form of exposure to interview information sources are then condensed, analysed and will be verified in accordance with the validity of the data. This study aims to describe the phenomenology of prophetic leadership and its relation to student character education at SD IT Assalaam Bantul. The results of the study explain that the principal in leading educational institutions has implemented prophetic leadership by integrating prophetic traits in its management. With a characterful principal leader, it is able to have a positive influence on the surrounding environment, especially for students, because the principal in the scope of education is a central role model. SD IT Assalaam Sanden Kabupaten Bantul has a programme of development activities that can shape the character of students according to Islamic teachings and uphold Islamic values.

Technology Leadership of Educational Institution Administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office

Background and Aims: Nowadays, technology play an important role in the management of educational institutions. Educational institution administrators need to have technological leadership to be able to manage education effectively. Using existing technology in the management process, promoting and supporting personnel under the organization. It will greatly increase the usefulness and efficiency of work in today's era. Therefore, it is necessary to develop, improve and modernize the existing education system. and consistent with technological changes this research has the following objectives: (1) Study the level of technological leadership of educational institution administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office. (2) Compare the technological leadership of educational institution administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office classified by position education level and work experience. (3) Study guidelines for developing technological leadership of educational institution administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office. Methodology: The sample group used in the research included 127 school administrators and teachers under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office. The sample size was determined according to Krejci and Morgan's table. and the sample was selected using stratified random sampling. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire using a 5-level rating scale with a consistency index between 0.80-1.00 and the reliability of the entire questionnaire was 0.96. In addition, interviews were used as additional tools. In data analysis use a variety of statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, F-test, and Scheffe's Method analysis. Results: The results of the research found that: (1) Technology leadership of school administrators under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office overall and in each aspect, it is at a "very" level. (2) Technology leadership comparison results of administrators of educational institutions under the Lopburi Provincial Learning Promotion Office classified by position Education level and work experience It was found that overall and, in each aspect, there were no differences. Conclusion: Technology leadership of educational institution administrators’ emphasis should be placed on appropriate management and application of technology in educational institutions. To achieve maximum efficiency in operations and development of educational quality.

The development of character education in schools in modern times is a challenge for Catholic Religious Education teachers in forming a generation with noble character. A Catholic Religious Education teacher is bound by the obligation to carry out the role of shepherd within the scope of education. Catholic Religious Education Teachers play the role of mentors in their duties, namely educating, so they have duties as journalists and educators. As a preacher, a Catholic religious education teacher takes on the task of proclaiming the news of salvation. Meanwhile, as educators, the task of Catholic Religious Education teachers is to guide students towards maturity, both physically and spiritually mature. Students who are spiritually mature will have noble character. To achieve this noble character requires character education which cannot be separated from the role of a Catholic Religious Education Teacher. It is hoped that character education will be able to form a generation whose existence will provide the widest possible benefits in daily life both at home, at school and in society. A literature review approach is used to write articles in order to develop an in-depth understanding to improve the role of Catholic religious education teachers in shaping the character of students in schools. The results of the research in this article conclude that Catholic Religious Education Teachers have an important role in shaping the character of students at school.

Praktek Terbaik dalam Model Kurikulum dan Pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam Tradisional

Traditional Islamic education, particularly through pesantren, has a rich and important history in the development of Islam in Indonesia since the 7th century AD. Its role is significant in preserving religious identity, advancing knowledge, maintaining the Arabic language, strengthening morality, and perpetuating Islamic culture. The main principles of traditional Islamic education curriculum include monotheism (tauhid), the Quran and Sunnah, religious knowledge, character formation, practical skills, contextualization, and personality development. This research employs literature method and qualitative approach by gathering data from various sources such as books, journals, and digital sources. This allows for a deeper understanding of effective teaching methods including student-centered approaches, experiential learning, technology utilization, and collaboration. The integration of spiritual and intellectual development creates balanced and conscious individuals. Adapting traditional practices into modern education combines cultural values with relevant technology. Preserving the essence of traditional Islamic education in the present era requires deep understanding, integration with modern science, engaged learning, character education, cultural preservation, and teacher development. Thus, traditional Islamic education remains relevant and beneficial for the development of better individuals and society.

Strategi Kepala Sekolah Mengembangkan Pendidikan Karakter Sesuai Profil Pelajar Pancasila di SD Negeri Kelurahan 15 Ulu Palembang

Character building needs to be fostered from an early age in order to have a quality character. Actually, everyone has the potential for good character since birth, but this potential must be continuously fostered through coaching and habituation from an early age. This study aims to analyze the principal's strategy in developing character education according to the profile of Pancasila students in elementary schools. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data collection tools use observation, interview, and documentation methods. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative with research stages that refer to Miles and Huberman's theory, namely (1) Collecting data, (2) Data reduction, (3) Data presentation, (4) Conclusion drawing. The results stated that the principal's strategy to develop character education has three stages starting from (1) planning, (2) implementation, and (3) evaluation. The principal's strategy to develop character education according to the profile of Pancasila students is in line with the development of student character which is carried out comprehensively and has an impact on the development of students' affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. So character building needs to be fostered from an early age in order to have a quality character.

Character education is very important in shaping people's attitudes and behaviors. This research aims to develop character education in Dahuyan Tank Village through socialization activities and making garbage cans. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach is used to understand how this program affects environmental awareness and social values of the community. The results of this study show that socialization accompanied by the creation of garbage cans can increase community awareness and responsibility for the environment, as well as instill values such as cooperation, discipline, and responsibility.

Development of Islamic Character Education Through The Naqsyabandiyah Qadiriyah Order Among The Sasak Wetu Telu Community

This study aims to analyze the development of Islamic character education through the Naqsyabandiyah Qadiriyah Order among the Sasak Wetu Telu community. As part of the local Islamic tradition, the Wetu Telu community has a unique approach to religious practice and social life. The approach of this order is not only aimed at strengthening spiritual understanding, but also at shaping the moral character of the community through Islamic values, such as honesty, patience, and discipline. The study used a qualitative approach with a field study method involving observation and in-depth interviews with order leaders and the local community. The results of the study indicate that the teachings of the Naqsyabandiyah Qadiriyah Order play a significant role in shaping adaptive Islamic character among the Sasak Wetu Telu such as strengthening Islamic identity, impacts on personal and social life, the role of exemplary tarekat figures, character formation through spiritual discipline, integration of Islam with local culture especially in terms of developing spirituality integrated with local socio-cultural values. These findings confirm that the integration between the order and character education can be a contextual and relevant model of Islamic character development for communities with local Islamic traditions.

Managing the Teaching Activity of Natural Science Subjects in Grade 6 at Secondary Schools in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province

Improving the quality of teaching natural science for grade 6 pupils, according to the 2018 General Education Program at secondary schools, is mandatory. Management activities are necessary to improve the quality of teaching. The tasks and purposes of this study are to analyze and evaluate the current status of management activities, find out the limitations and causes of the limitations, thereby proposing management measures to improve the quality of teaching Natural Science in grade 6 according to the 2018 General Education Program at secondary schools in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province. This study conducted a survey of 114 people including 20 board of directors, management staff, and 94 teachers of secondary schools according to the following contents: (i) Survey on awareness; (ii) Survey on planning; (iii) Survey on organizing teaching activities; (iv) Survey on directing teaching activities; (v) Survey on testing and evaluating teaching activities. The survey, combined with qualitative research, helps to correctly assess the current situation, limitations, and causes of limitations, which is the basis for perfecting management measures to improve the quality of teaching Natural Sciences for grade 6 according to the 2018 General Education Program at secondary schools, thereby contributing to the comprehensive development of educational quality and pupil capacity in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.

Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Berbasis Adat: Studi Kasus Masyarakat Kampung Naga

In the era of globalization, indigenous communities are increasingly at risk of losing their identity and traditional values. Kampung Naga, one of the oldest traditional villages in Indonesia, has a complex social and cultural system. This study aims to deeply examine the role of traditional institutions in shaping and instilling civic values in the indigenous community of Kampung Naga. Through a qualitative case study method, this research analyzes the structure of traditional institutions, decision-making mechanisms, and customary practices related to citizenship. The results of the study show that traditional institutions have a central role in preserving the values of mutual cooperation, consensus-based decision-making, and respect for nature. Customary practices such as traditional ceremonies, village meetings, and social sanctions serve as effective social control mechanisms in shaping the character of good citizens. This study concludes that the traditional institutions of Kampung Naga can serve as a model for the development of character education and citizenship rooted in local values.

The purpose of this study is to examine the concept and meaning of character education, and then to find the possibilities and limitations revealed during the development and operation of 『Theory of Character Education』 as a liberal arts course at S University, and to suggest its own outlook on the direction of development of character education in universities. To this end, the contents of 『Theory of Character Education』 and the development process of teaching materials were examined in detail, and then the actual conduct of character education classes, teaching methods, and evaluation processes were critically reflected. In this study, character education was reconceptualized as “humanity education” in the sense of “education that cultivates human beings as human beings”. This conceptualization suggests that character education embraces the individual and the community, embodying the spirit of autonomy, caring, and solidarity that education strives for, and ultimately contributing to the development of humanity. As the case studies clearly demonstrate, university character education should also contribute to individual self-realization and community development. From an individual perspective, university character education needs to include “Mom” education, which includes the preservation and development of a healthy body and sex education; mind education, which aims to foster healthy emotions and morality; and intellectual education, which focuses on fostering wisdom and creativity. From a community perspective, university character education should be expanded to include basic order education, civil and civic education to foster dialog and communication skills, and global citizenship education to foster interculturalism or global citizenship. In line with the content of character education, the methodological principles of character education need to be established based on the two pillars of fostering subjectivity and citizenship. In a democratic society, each individual should develop their own subjective capabilities and strengthen their civic capabilities as a member of the community. As the healthy social development of students is emerging as an important element of college character education, it is necessary to actively consider social-emotional learning (SEL) in the future.

<div><p class="1eAbstract-text">It is crucial to instil character values from an early age, to have morally noble future generation, one is through character education program. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the character education program carried out by Candle Tree Kindergarten since 2018/2019, to improve, enhance and perfection. This evaluation adopts CIPP method, which is an acronym for Context, Input, Process, and Product. Qualitative and descriptive quantitative are employed to mutually promote evaluation results, questionnaire, interviews, observation, and documentation data collection methods were used. To interpret various standpoints of interest, different sources were taken, at the same time triangulation of sources were applied. The result on this study showed the evaluation of a) Context, it has potential and capability to implement the program, but the program objectives were integrated in school’s vision and mission; b) Input, in need of attention for program curriculum, budgeting, and variety of methods; c) Process, in need of improvement for virtual interaction, medium of instruction, assessment guides, frequency, and program documentation; d) Product, program results are in accordance with the characters instilled and it triggers other values. Therefore, it can be concluded that this evaluation can be useful for the management of KB-TK Candle Tree to develop character education programs.<em></em></p></div>

Implementasi Pembinaan Pendidikan Karakter dalam Membangun Kemandirian dan Disiplin Siswa SMP Negeri 34 Samarinda

This research aims to find out the implementation of character education in building student independence and discipline at SMP Negeri 34 Samarinda. As well as obstacles to implementing character education in building student independence and discipline at SMP Negeri 34 Samarinda. Apart from that, in implementing character education in building student independence and discipline at SMP Negeri 34 Samarinda, it is necessary to approach students in order to achieve the implementation of character education in building student independence and discipline. This research uses a qualitative research approach, descriptive analysis method, with data collection techniques namely observation, interviews and documentation. . Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. The research results show that SMP Negeri 34 Samarinda has implemented various character development programs, such as extracurricular activities, guidance and counseling, as well as the application of moral values ​​in learning. Students' active participation in this activity increases independence in decision making, responsibility, and courage to express opinions. Student discipline also increases through consistent application of rules and habituation of positive behavior. Teachers and school staff play an important role in enforcing discipline and setting an example. Challenges in developing character education include limited resources and variations in student discipline. Overall, character education development at SMP Negeri 34 Samarinda makes a positive contribution to student independence and discipline. Continuous support from parents and the community is needed to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of this program. Character education development plays a role as a foundation in forming a generation that is independent, disciplined and has character.

MENERAPKAN NILAI-NILAI PEMIKIRAN DEWI SARTIKA DALAM PENDIDIKAN MODERN

Dewi Sartika, a national hero of Indonesia, is known as a pioneer of education for women. Her thoughts on education are still relevant today, amidst the modern era full of challenges and changes. The values of Dewi Sartika's thoughts, such as noble character, intelligence, and independence, can be a guide in implementing quality and character-based education in the modern era. This study aims to identify the values of Dewi Sartika's thoughts on education and analyze their relevance in modern education. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. Data was collected through literature studies, including books, scientific journals, online articles, and official documents. The data were then analyzed using a descriptive-analytic method. The results of the study show that the values of Dewi Sartika's thoughts on education are still relevant in modern education. These values can be implemented in various ways, such as integrating moral values and noble character into the curriculum and learning, developing character education through various programs and activities, providing opportunities for students to learn independently and creatively, and utilizing information and communication technology to support learning. There are also challenges and opportunities in implementing the values of Dewi Sartika's thoughts on education in modern education. The challenges include globalization and the influence of foreign cultures that can erode local cultural values, a lack of awareness and commitment from various parties to implement character education, and limited educational resources and infrastructure. However, there are also opportunities, such as increasing public awareness of the importance of character education, the development of information and communication technology that can support learning, and support from the government and various parties to improve the quality of education. Development of Character Education Based on Tri Hita Karana with a Contextual Approach in Accounting Education: A Literature Review

The prevalence of unethical practices and the erosion of ethical values in the accounting profession underscore the need for integrating character education into accounting curricula. High-profile accounting scandals like Enron and WorldCom highlight the critical importance of fostering ethical behavior and social responsibility among future professionals. This literature review explores the integration of Tri Hita Karana, a Balinese philosophy promoting harmony among human-God, human-human, and human-environment relationships, with contextual learning in accounting education. The study suggests that incorporating Tri Hita Karana into the curriculum through community-based projects and real-world ethical scenarios enhances students' ethical and professional competencies. Empirical evidence from various studies supports the effectiveness of this integrated approach in developing students' ethical judgment, social and environmental awareness, and spiritual well-being. This holistic educational model not only prepares students for professional challenges but also promotes broader cultural shifts towards ethical integrity in professional practices.

Many problems occur in the world of education, especially moral (character) crises among students, some of which are violence between students, promiscuity, free sex, and drugs. School participation is really needed to deal with the problems that occur, and teachers are the main spearheads in the process of forming student character at school. This research aims to develop character education through Islamic boarding school culture in Islamic elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative research using a phenomenological approach with the aim of describing, understanding, and interpreting the phenomena that occur. This research was conducted at an Islamic school located on Sumenep Island. The reason the researcher conducted research at an Islamic elementary school was that this school was unique in implementing Islamic boarding school culture into the school environment. The research subjects used a purposive sampling technique because the target informants met the research objective criteria. The informants in this research were school principals, religious teachers, and students. Data collection techniques in this research used semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. Data analysis in this research uses Miles and Huberman's theory, which includes data collection, data consolidation, data display, and drawing conclusions or data verification. The research results show that Islamic boarding schools are one of the educational institutions in Indonesia that contribute to developing the character of students in the form of culture and can be applied at the elementary, middle, and high school levels by internalizing the process of instilling attitudes within oneself through coaching and guidance.
