The Effect of Purchasing Accounting System on Transaction Efficiency and Supplier Satisfaction

This article discusses the importance of the Purchasing Accounting System in supporting business continuity, especially in the procurement of goods needed by the company. This system serves as a vital element in the company's operational cycle, which focuses on recording, managing, and tracking transactions for the purchase of goods or services. This research uses the literature study method, by collecting data from various relevant sources. The results of the analysis show that the Purchasing Accounting System consists of a series of integrated procedures, methods, and tools to ensure that every purchase transaction is recorded accurately and managed efficiently. The main components in this system include processes ranging from submission of purchase requests, evaluation and selection of suppliers, to payment of supplier invoices. With a well-structured system in place, companies can minimise errors, ensure compliance with internal policies, and manage cash flow more effectively. The system also supports transparency in supplier relationships, and improves efficiency and accuracy in the purchasing process. In short, the Purchasing Accounting System plays a crucial role in efficiently managing the purchasing aspect, which in turn supports the continuity and success of the company's operations.

PT Mada Wikri Tunggal is an automotive industrial company in the field of metal and plastic components that produces goods in the form of spare parts for two-wheeled (2) and four-wheeled (4) vehicles. The purchasing department at PT Mada Wikri Tunggal is responsible for the availability of goods needed by other departments according to the time required. Before carrying out the process of purchasing raw materials and stationery, the purchasing department must have a purchase request form for raw materials or stationery originating from the department concerned. In the process of purchasing raw materials and stationery, several problems were found, such as purchasing the same goods in one purchase request, and also the loss of the purchase request form which could hamper the process of purchasing raw materials or stationery. Therefore, it is necessary to design an information system application for purchasing requests for raw materials and stationery by depicting it using UML diagrams, ERD, and interface design as well as web-based integrated development using the Laravel framework and applying the waterfall method. The existence of an information system for purchasing requests for raw materials and stationery can minimize errors in purchasing raw materials and stationery in the purchasing department at PT Mada Wikri Tunggal so that there will be no duplication of the same purchase in one purchase request and it will not take a long time to send purchase orders. to suppliers.

Understanding reciprocity in human–robot interactions through completion of a pregiving favor

In today’s world, understanding how people interact with humanoid social robots is important for day-to-day interactions and design purposes. A phasic, between-subjects, psychophysiological experiment (N = 72) examined how the norm of reciprocity influenced interactions with the humanoid social robot, “Pepper”. Facial electromyography (zygomatic and corrugator) was measured to determine participant’s emotional valence during interaction. The level of reciprocity in response to a pregiving favor was measured by the number of raffle tickets purchased by participants at the robot’s request. Results suggest that the social rule of reciprocation exists within human–robot interaction. When Pepper offered a pregiving favor to a participant, that person was more likely to reciprocate via the robot’s later ticket purchase request. Contributions to theory and design of humanoid social robots are discussed, as well as avenues for future research.

ABSTRACT
 This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subject in this research is purchasing Alila Solo Hotel. Methods of data collection in this study using observation, interviews, literature and documentation. This study aims to find out how the procurement of kitchen food ingredients at the Alila Hotel Solo and how the influence of the procurement of kitchen food ingredients on purchasing performance at the Alila Solo Hotel. The results showed that the procurement of kitchen food ingredients at the Alila Solo Hotel was running properly. Starting from purchase requests, selecting suppliers, placing orders and receiving goods has been done correctly. However, there are obstacles when looking for seasonal food ingredients, when sudden requests occur, discrepancies in delivery by suppliers and order delays. Given these constraints, solutions that can be taken are replacing food ingredients or looking for similar food ingredients, returning food ingredients that are not suitable and good communication is needed between purchasing and the kitchen to avoid miscommunication. The influence of the procurement of kitchen food ingredients on purchasing performance in this study uses performance indicators according to Robbins (2016: 260), namely work quality, work quantity and timeliness. All show that the procurement of food ingredients shows a good influence on purchasing performance at the Alila Solo Hotel. If the procurement of food ingredients in the kitchen goes well, good purchasing performance will also be created.

The visual content on Wardah’s Instagram account has its own meaning and purpose in increasing consumer purchasing power.

Predicting Probable Product Swaps in Customer Behaviour: An In-depth Analysis of Forecasting Techniques, Factors Influencing Decisions, and Implications for Business Strategies

Introduction: Factors influencing product swap requests and predict the likelihood of such requests, focusing on product usage, attributes, and customer behaviour, particularly in the IT industry.
 Objectives: Analyse customer and product data from a leading IT company, aiming to uncover insights and determinants of swap requests
 Methods: Gather product and customer data, perform data processing, and employ machine learning methods such as Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, and Naive Bayes to discern the variables influencing product swap requests and apply them for classification purposes.
 Results: Analysed a substantial dataset, comprising 320K product purchase requests and 30K swap requests from a prominent social media company. The dataset encompasses 520 attributes, encompassing customer and product details, usage data, purchase history, and chatter comments related to swap requests. The study compared Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, and Naïve Bayes models, with Random Forest fine-tuned for optimal results and feature importance identified based on F1 scores to understand attribute relevance in swap requests.
 Conclusion: Evaluated three algorithms: support vector machine, naive Bayes, and Random Forest. The Random Forest, fine-tuned based on feature importance, yielded the best results with an accuracy of 0.83 and an F1 score of 0.86.

Analisis dan Perancangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Distribusi Barang Dagang

ANH is a business engaged in the distribution of goods with a model of selling and buying goods. The distribution process of goods sold is goods purchased from several suppliers which are then collected and resold. In the process of distributing goods, it is done manually, starting with recording requests to suppliers and customers with note media as proof of transactions. The documentation process for recording proof of transactions often results in documentation errors due to several factors, including, (1) the possibility of adding or reducing ordered products due to changes in orders and not properly documented on notes. (2) the customer contacts ANH again or vice versa to confirm stock availability in the warehouse in real time. Solving problems that occur at ANH can be solved with a good management information system by utilizing technology. The design aimed at solving the problem is to reduce errors in the documentation process by using notes that sometimes change in the field, processing records more quickly and integrated so as to reduce the risk of errors in providing information on goods in the warehouse and errors in the process of inputting purchase requests. The development method used is the iteration method. Analysis of the problems that occur in ANH uses the PIECES (Performance, Information, Economic, Control, Efficiency, Service) framework problem analysis.

Examining the effects of addressable TV advertising on children and their parents

This study simultaneously examines children’s (aged 7–12) and their parents’ responses to a television ad designed to directly target, address, and influence the child. Employing a between-matched subjects experimental design, results from a path analysis indicate that (1) children perceive a heightened connection to addressable TV advertising, (2) they are more likely to make purchase request as a result of this connection, indicating that they are more susceptible to addressable TV advertising than their parents perceive them to be since (3) parents do not think it exerts a greater influence on their children than advertising generally. Further, (4) parents’ perceptions of their child’s advertising susceptibility influences their anticipation of a purchase request and (5) that anticipation positively influences their purchase intentions. Parents also anticipate purchase requests (6) as a direct result of their child’s exposure to the addressable ad. However, (7) the level of parents’ purchase request anticipation does not have an associative connection with the child’s own purchase request intentions. Theoretical, practical, and societal implications are discussed; and areas for future research are suggested.

Every company has goals, plans, and dreams about the future of the company. This vision and mission can be achieved if there is a measurement strategy as a measuring tool for achieving the company's vision and mission. Purchasing KPI is assessed from the results of the assignment performance given starting from the assignment of purchase requests, and purchase orders to warehouse receipts put together in one report. This assessment is required regularly, be it annually, every six months, or every three months every month. The goal of this research is to design purchasing performance appraisal applications as a basis for assessing and evaluating performance target achievements. The research method uses qualitative research by collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, and literature study. The results are in the form of a prototype of a performance appraisal application that makes it possible to monitor employee performance. The results of monitoring and assessment will be able to improve employee performance.

Effect of food marketing on food purchase request, eating behaviour and dental caries amongst 5–8 year old children belonging to different socioeconomic backgrounds

IntroductionAggressive food marketing directed towards children and globalization has caused a nutritional shift in developing nations like India from the minimally processed to ultra-processed food, contributing to the increased risk of dental caries. The current study was undertaken to assess the outcome of food marketing exposure on food purchase requests, eating behaviour and dental health. MethodologyThis cross-sectional study included 260 children aged 5–8 years belonging to different socioeconomic background. Food marketing exposure was assessed using brand logo recognition scale, purchase request behaviour and eating behaviour were measured using questionnaire filled by parents and oral examination was done to record the caries score. ResultsThe mean brand logo recognition score was 15.67, high percentage of parents reported that their children try to influence (40.38% always, 34.61% often) and succeed in influencing (26.92% always, 40.38% often) the food purchase in the family. A large percentage of children consumed packaged snacks (40%), biscuits (75%), candies/chocolates (50%) and sweetened beverages (31%) at least once a day. The mean caries score was 1.41 and the overall caries prevalence was 42.30%. Adjusted for age, gender and socioeconomic group brand logo recognition was significantly associated with purchase request and eating behaviour but not with caries score. ConclusionChildren are found to be able to influence the food purchase practice at home and are clearly are well versed with brand logo recognition. The children from both the socio-economic groups reported similar Brand logo score recognition and food purchase request behaviour scores.

Optimizing Payment Collection and Tracking: A Case Study of the Psychological Services Center

This study aims to improve payment collection and tracking at the Psychological Services Center (PSC) at the University of Alaska Anchorage through enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the center's operations. It employs a cross-sectional study that examines and tests the PSC's billing workflow. Data were collected from PSC staff and systems evaluations. It identifies deficiencies and risks in the fee collection and tracking processes from January 22, 2024, to May 28, 2024. Based on the research findings, the PSC leadership initiated a purchase request for a Verifone V400m point-of-sale credit card machine to facilitate immediate payment collection at the point of service. The training for interns on the new system is scheduled for the beginning of the fall 2024, with the Verifone V400m serving as a pilot for a potential system-wide rollout. Implementing the Verifone V400m credit card machine is expected to reduce wasted time and effort in the billing and fee collection process, aligning with Lean Six Sigma principles. The adoption of this technology will increase productivity, enhance accuracy, and improve billing value. This study highlights the lack of integration in financial and operational data systems, leading to manual consolidated reporting and credibility issues. Concerns about potential payment issues with the Verifone V400m were raised among staff. Future solutions should prioritize HIPAA compliance, user-friendliness, and the integration of multiple payment devices to address employee shortages.

In this system we are providing online assistance to those landowners who can provide place for agriculture to farmers. A landowner simply needs to register to this system if he has got some land. Then as per requirements landowners select the farmers through bidding. Support will be provided in various types of agriculture like fish farming, honey bee farming, paddy fields, plantations, vegetable, fruits etc. Also there will be provisions for the farmer to make sale the items in this system, directly to a user. Admin adds new types of cultivation. Admin can accept or reject the farmer’s registration request. Land owner has to be registered to the system. He will be having a login after registration. He has to enter the land details. Land owner can sent cultivation request to the farmer. He can also accept or reject price quotes from farmer or select farmer by bidding. Agreement is made between the land owner and farmer. Landowner can accept or reject the land return request. He have the provision to give rating to farmer. A farmer should be registered to use the system after registration, he will be provided with a login. He can also add cultivation types to the system. He can participate in bidding for land. He will be the one who pays the land owner. Farmer can also fix the rates of products he cultivated. Land return request has to be submitted to the land owner, by the farmer. He can also accept or reject purchase request of his products and he has to enter sale details to the system. Customer can register and will have a login. He can purchase the items from the farmer by giving a purchase request to the farmer. There will be provisions to give feedbacks and complaints.

Optimizing electricity demand scheduling in microgrids using deep reinforcement learning for cost‐efficiency

AbstractRenewable energy sources (RES) are increasingly being developed and used to address the energy crisis and protect the environment. However, the large‐scale integration of wind and solar energy into the power grid is still challenging and limits the adoption of these new energy sources. Microgrids (MGs) are small‐scale power generation and distribution systems that can effectively integrate renewable energy, electric loads, and energy storage systems (ESS). By using MGs, it is possible to consume renewable energy locally and reduce energy losses from long‐distance transmission. This paper proposes a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)‐based energy management system (EMS) called DRL‐MG to process and schedule energy purchase requests from customers in real‐time. Specifically, the aim of this paper is to enhance the quality of service (QoS) for customers and reduce their electricity costs by proposing an approach that utilizes a Deep Q‐learning Network (DQN) model. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method outperforms commonly used real‐time scheduling methods significantly.

An Evaluation of the Design of Multimedia Patient Education Materials in Musculoskeletal Health Care: Systematic Review.

Educational multimedia is a cost-effective and straightforward way to administer large-scale information interventions to patient populations in musculoskeletal health care. While an abundance of health research informs the content of these interventions, less guidance exists about optimizing their design. This study aims to identify randomized controlled trials of patient populations with musculoskeletal conditions that used multimedia-based patient educational materials (PEMs) and examine how design was reported and impacted patients' knowledge and rehabilitation outcomes. Design was evaluated using principles from the cognitive theory of multimedia learning (CTML). PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Embase were searched from inception to September 2023 for studies examining adult patients with musculoskeletal conditions receiving multimedia PEMs compared to any other interventions. The primary outcome was knowledge retention measured via test scores. Secondary outcomes were any patient-reported measures. Retrievability was noted, and PEMs were sourced through search, purchase, and author communication. A total of 160 randomized controlled trials were eligible for inclusion: 13 (8.1%) included their educational materials and 31 (19.4%) required a web search, purchase, or direct requests for educational materials. Of these 44 (27.5%) studies, none fully optimized the design of their educational materials, particularly lacking in the CTML principles of coherence, redundancy, modality, and generative activities for the learner. Of the 160 studies, the remaining 116 (72.5%) contained interventions that could not be retrieved or appraised. Learning was evaluated in 5 (3.1%) studies. Musculoskeletal studies should use open science principles and provide their PEMs wherever possible. The link between providing multimedia PEMs and patient learning is largely unexamined, but engagement potential may be maximized when considering design principles such as the CTML.

What can stop the 'pester power'? A longitudinal study on the impact of children's audiovisual media consumption on media-motivated food purchase requests.

In modern audiovisual media, children are confronted with an endless stream of food advertising. Thus, companies can undermine parents' best efforts to feed their children healthy foods. Indeed, parents often describe that their children request specific foods depicted in media, most of which are high in fat, salt, and/or sugar. Longitudinal research on the factors influencing media-motivated food purchase requests remains scarce. In a panel study, pairing data of N = 529 children (6-11 years) and one of their parents (N = 529), we examined how children's individual factors (i.e., age and body mass index [BMI]), their audiovisual media consumption, and different parental mediation styles are associated with parents' perceptions of children's media-motivated food purchase requests. While age was negatively related and children's BMI positively related to children's media-motivated food purchase requests, we found no overall effect of children's audiovisual media consumption. Interestingly, talking with children about foods during or after viewing (i.e., conversation-oriented communication about foods depicted in media) increased media-motivated food purchase requests, most likely by fostering the cognitive availability of food products. Restrictive media mediation exerted a negative effect (i.e., reduced purchase requests). Findings suggest that restricting exposure to food advertising in the media may be more powerful in stopping the 'pester power' than previously thought. Thus, policy-supporting restrictions on depicting unhealthy foods in media content targeted at children may be helpful.

Parents’ mental state communication and children’s consumer behavior in the USA

PurposePrevious research has shown that children’s ability to understand mental states is related to their consumer development, yet it is unknown how parents can aid in this process. One possible way that parents may help is using mental state communication (i.e. communication that focuses on beliefs/intention to explain behavior by others). This study aims to examine whether this kind of communication is linked to children’s purchase requests through two potential mediators – active mediation and child socio-cognitive skills (i.e. Theory of Mind).Design/methodology/approachThis study used a survey of 420 American mothers with children between the ages of 3 and 7. Respondents were given 12 scenarios describing typical parent–child interactions focused on discussing mental states and were asked how they would respond. Then, respondents were asked about demographic information, parenting style, mediation style, child socio-cognitive skills and child purchase requests.FindingsResults showed both a direct and indirect negative association between parents’ mental state communication and children’s purchase requests via active advertising mediation. Contrary to expectations, active mediation was negatively associated with mental state communication and positively linked to child purchase requests. Children’s socio-cognitive skills were not associated with either parents’ mental state communication or children’s purchase requests.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first known study that has examined mental state communication of parents as a potential predictor in shaping children’s purchase requests and found that it was negatively associated with it.

This research was conducted to explain whether the application of promos to products can increase consumers' purchase requests,thereby influencingtheir purchasing decisions. Product Quality Price and Image Brands Against Purchase Decisions

Changes in an increasingly fast world require companies to respond to changes that occur; the main problem facing companies today is how the company attracts customers to see and buy so that the company continues to grow. This goal will be achieved if a company wants to do marketing by participating in the UMKM bazaar or competitions so that the products offered are solidly known and can attract a consumer's purchase request. To get consumers willing to make purchases, entrepreneurs must develop strategic plans, including improving product quality, paying attention to product prices, and providing a good brand image. Hence, consumers feel confident about their products. Product to be purchased. This study analyzes product quality, price, and brand image buying batik at the Numansa Batik Kediri boutique. The technique used is probability sampling, and the number of samples obtained is 40 respondents. The data analysis tool used SPSS Version 22. The analysis results showed a positive and significant influence between product quality and batik purchasing decisions at the Numansa Batik boutique, where t counted 3,787 with a substantial value of t 0.001 0.05, which means that there is a significant influence on brand image. On purchasing decisions, there is a positive and significant influence between product quality, price, and brand image on buying decisions at the Numansa Batik boutique, where F counts 11,661 with a substantial value of F 0.00 0.05. Based on the research results, Numansa Batik Boutique seeks to increase prices, provide appropriate service quality, and improve the quality of Numansa Batik Boutique products.
