The paper studies the angle of incidence required to achieve minimal reflectance for p-polarization, referred to as the pseudo-Brewster angle, within the context of a phase change material. By using a thin-film material such as vanadium dioxide (VO2), known for its phase transition from insulator to metal at 68 °C, which significantly alters the material's refractive indices, alongside an absorbing substrate like gold, we demonstrate the attainability of a pseudo-Brewster angle of zero. Moreover, this angle may be modulated by a wide margin during the phase transition. These findings are potentially interesting for balancing s- and p-polarizations and facilitating efficient control over light polarization properties.
