Cold cabbage leaves compress (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata) effectively reduces breast swelling in postpartum mothers

Introduction: Breast engorgement problems can occur in postpartum mothers and interfere with breastfeeding for infants. The incidence of breast swelling was 43.4% from 145 postpartum mothers and swelling was 253 times (48%) higher in primiparas. The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of cold cabbage leaf compress (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata) on breast swelling for primiparous normal postpartum mothers in PMB Sriwati, Palu City, Central Sulawesi. Methods: This type of research is quantitative. The research design is quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group pre-post test and a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at PMB Sriwati on September 15 to October 30, 2020 with a sample of 20 primiparous postpartum mothers who gave birth normally in each control and intervention group. Samples were taken by non-probability sampling technique. Data analysis used Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test. Results: The difference in swelling in the control group (Supervised breast care) was 0.25 while in the intervention group (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata) it was -0.90 with a p value of 0.000. Conclusion: The use of cold cabbage leaf compress (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata) is more effective to treat breast swelling in primiparous normal postpartum mothers than Supervised breast care. It is recommended that professional organizations can socialize Evidence Base Practice, especially the development of independent midwifery management regarding breast swelling in postpartum mothers.

Penyuluhan Manajemen Laktasi Pada Ibu Postpartum Primipara Di Puskesmas Bara – Baraya Kota Makassar

Lactation management is needed to support the successful management of breastfeeding. Failure of the breastfeeding process is often caused by some mothers who do not understand the correct way to breastfeed. Based on UNICEF data, only 30% of post partum primiparous mothers provide exclusive breast milk, this shows that babies in Indonesia still receive non-exclusive breast milk. The aim of this service is to increase knowledge about lactation management which consists of how to breastfeed, the benefits of breastfeeding, the correct breastfeeding position. The activity was carried out at the Bara Baraya Community Health Center, Makassar City on December 9 2022. The method used in this service was lecture and question and answer which began with a pre-test then providing information and then a post-test with a total of 7 participants. The results of the activity showed that those who had good knowledge before the counseling were carried out were 3 people (42.85%) and after the counseling it increased to 7 people (100%), this shows that the counseling was effective in lactation management for Primiparous Postpartum Mothers

Relationship Between Knowledge And Anxiety Of Primiparous Postpartum Mothers In Newborn Care

The suboptimal handling and care of newborns are among the factors contributing to perinatal mortality. One of the reasons for the suboptimal handling and care of newborns is the lack of knowledge among mothers about newborn care, especially among primiparous mothers who lack direct experience in caring for newborns. This situation leads to maternal anxiety during the first week of the baby's life. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and anxiety among primiparous postpartum mothers in the care of newborns at the North Buton Regional General Hospital. The research design used is analytical, employing a Cross-Sectional study approach with a sample size of 30 postpartum mothers. Data collected include both primary and secondary sources, and the data analysis involves the chi-square statistical test. The research results indicate a correlation between maternal knowledge and anxiety among primiparous postpartum mothers in the care of newborns, with a p-value of 0.003 < α = 0.000. Consequently, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In other words, there is an influence of knowledge on the anxiety levels of first-time postpartum mothers in the care of newborns at the North Buton Regional General Hospital.
 

Pengaruh Pijat Laktasi terhadap Produksi ASI Ibu Post Partum Primipara dengan Sectio Caesarea (SC)

Breast milk cannot come out immediately in some primiparous postpartum mothers with SC procedures. This can happen due to lack of stimulation of the hormones oxytocin and prolactin which play a role in the smooth production of breast milk. One of the non-pharmacological measures for smooth milk production is lactation massage. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lactation massage on milk production in primiparous postpartum mothers with SC procedures. The research design used was a quasy experiment with the type of one group pretest posttest design. The population is all primiparous postpartum mothers with CS in the delivery room at the Muhammadiyah Gresik Hospital. The number of samples in this study were 27 people with an accidental sampling technique. Data collection using observation sheets and questionnaires was then analyzed using the mc namer test. The results of the study showed that most of the production of breast milk in postpartum mothers before the lactation massage (pretest) was carried out, namely as many as 20 mothers (74.1%) did not express milk. Milk production in postpartum mothers after lactation massage (posttest) for all mothers as many as 27 mothers (100%) showed milk production. In conclusion, there is an influence between lactation massage on milk production in the delivery room at Muhammadiyah Gresik Hospital. Lactation massage is very useful in reducing pain and increasing milk production.

Introduction : Lactation is the process of breastfeeding starting from the process of producing breast milk (ASI), secretion, and expulsion of breast milk to the process of the baby sucking and swallowing. Factors that cause non-smooth milk production in primiparous postpartum mothers can be caused by stress, fatigue, lack of rest, as well as nutrition and nutritional factors. Efforts made to improve breastfeeding and increase milk production in primiparous postpartum mothers include a balanced nutritional diet for breastfeeding mothers, early mobilization, oxytocin massage and breast care. Oxytocin massage is one of the efforts made to facilitate milk production for primiparous postpartum mothers. Oxytocin massage done after giving birth can stimulate the release of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin.
 Purpose: Applying oxytocin massage to breastfeeding on Mrs. S at Amanda Pratama Clinic, Patukan, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta
 Methods: The type of research method used is descriptive analytic method. This research instrument used the results of examinations, observations or observations of the author, interviews with clients and supporting data listed in the maternal and child health book owned by the client.
 Results : The results of research on breastfeeding on Ny. S after doing Oxytocin massage 15-20 minutes every day for 7 days it increased, starting from the first day 90 ml to 680 on day 7. The increase in milk expenditure occurred as much as 88% for 7 days. The biggest increase occurred on the third day.
 Conclusions: There is an effect of oxytocin massage on breastfeeding in Mrs. S at Amanda Pratama Clinic, Patukan Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta

DEEP RELAXATION TECHNIQUES TO REDUCE MIDDLE-LEVEL ANXIETY IN THE FIRST GESTATIONAL MOTHER IN THE TAKING-IN PHASE

Background: The postpartum period begins when the placenta is born and ends when the uterus returns to its normal state. During the postpartum period, physiological and psychological adaptations occur in the mother. One of the psychological conditions that can appear in postpartum mothers is anxiety. The process of pregnancy, childbirth, and the puerperium may cause anxiety, especially in primiparous mothers. Anxiety not treated immediately can lead to postpartum depression or baby blues syndrome. Objective: This research aims to apply nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, intervention based on evidence-based practice, implementation, and evaluation of nursing Methods: The research method used interviews with patients and families and nurses' direct observations in the Visual Analog Scale for Anxiety (VAS-A) to measure anxiety levels. This research design was a case study with primiparous postpartum mothers who were given nursing intervention. Results: The patient experienced nursing problems of moderate level of anxiety, postpartum pain, knowledge deficit, and risk of infection. The primary intervention given to the patient is to provide non-pharmacological therapy using deep breathing relaxation techniques to reduce the patient's level of anxiety. Conclusion: Based on the results of nursing interventions given, it is explained that there is a decrease in the level of anxiety in patients. Thus, the patient's treatment plan was stopped and continued with self-care at home according to the recommendations given.

Comparison of Breast Massage (Oxytocin Massage, Oketani Massage, and Marmet Massage) Against the Smoothness of Breast Milk from the Aspect of Baby's Sleep Frequency

Background: The inability to meet breast milk production can be prevented in various ways, one of which is breast massage. The breast massage technique, at a certain point, is able to remove the blockage of blood vessels and energy blockages so that it will facilitate milk production. This study aims to determine the potential of breast massage (oxytocin massage, oketani massage, and marmet massage) to smooth breast milk from the aspect of the baby's sleep frequency.
 Methods: Study design method experimental with the control group. Samples were Primiparous postpartum mothers who gave birth normally and were divided into three groups, namely oxytocin massage intervention group, marmet massage, oketani massage, and control group. Data were analyzed in univariate, bivariate, and multivariate.
 Results: Breast massage (oxytocin, marmet and oketani) in primiparous postpartum mothers was effective in increasing the frequency of baby’s sleep. The frequency of the baby’s sleep before Marmet massage was 3.29 hours, and after Marmet massage was 5.29 hours. In the oxytocin massage intervention group, it was known that the average sleep frequency of babies before breast massage was 2.00 hours, and after breast, massage was 3.00 hours. Furthermore, in the Oketani massage intervention group, it was found that the average frequency of the baby’s sleep before breast massage was 2.00 hours, and after breast, massage was 3.00 hours. In the control group, it is known that the average sleep frequency of babies before breast massage is 0.57 hours and after breast massage is 0.71 hours.
 Conclusion: Oxytocin massage, marmet massage, and oketani massage have been shown to be effective in improving the smoothness of breast milk from the aspect of the baby's sleep frequency.

Characteristics and Related Factors to Breast Milk Production of Postpartum: Preliminary Study at Public Health Center of Semarang City

Approximately 38-63% of primiparous postpartum mothers experience lactation insufficiency, which has an impact on not breastfeeding their babies. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics and factors associated with postpartum mothers' milk production at the Public Health Center of Semarang City. This type of research is observational and cross-sectional design. The population of all postpartum women in Semarang City in October 2021, was taken by cluster random sampling at 8 selected health centers and a sample of 124 postpartum women. Methods of collecting data were questionnaires and data analysis with chi-square. The results of the research are the characteristics of mothers with an average age of 28 years, 56.5% of secondary education, 40% of primiparous parity, 59% of normal BMI, 92.7% of normal LILA, average age of the baby was 7 days, 82.3% of moderate anxiety level, 99.2% off good staff support, 58.9% of good surveillance worker support, 91.1% of good family support, 82.3% of more calorie intake of 2200 kcal, 62.1% of 1600 ml more fluid intake. There was a relationship between anxiety, family support, health volunteer support, calorie and fluid intake with breast milk production (p-value <0.05). There was no relationship between the support of health workers with postpartum mothers' milk production (p = 0.166). Mother’s psychological condition while breastfeeding, support from family, and health insurance are important things in increasing breast milk production as a continuation of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding. In addition, calorie and fluid intake need to be considered to maintain the adequacy of mother's milk.

Potential of Moringa Leaf Cookies to Increast Breastmilk Production in Postpartum Mothers

BACKGROUND: Exclusive breastfeeding can be beneficial for both the baby and the mother. Efforts are needed to increase milk production so that mothers can still only breastfeed their babies. Moringa leaves can increase breast milk production because they contain flavonoids and polyphenols. Moringa leaf cookies were chosen because they are liked by many nursing mothers, can be stored for a relatively long time, and processing can lose nutrients. AIM: The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of Moringa leaf cookies in increasing breast milk production. METHODS: This was a quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The number of samples was 46 respondents on the 1st day of primiparous postpartum mothers who were divided into two into 23 intervention groups given Moringa leaf cookies (125 g/day) for 14 days and Vitamin A and Fe tablets and 23 control groups were given Vitamin A and Fe tablets. In this study, milk production was measured through indicators of infant weight with the right level of accuracy. The analysis used in this study is the paired t-test, independent t-test, and multivariate Test. RESULTS: There was a difference before and before being given Moringa leaf cookies in the intervention group, while the statistical test results obtained p = 0.000 < 0.05. There was a difference in body weight in the intervention group and the control group and the results of the statistical test p = 0.000 < 0.05. CONCLUSION: Moringa leaf cookies (125 g/day) for 14 days were effective in increasing breast milk production based on the baby’s weight.

Background: Breast milk is the main source of nutrition for babies from birth until they are able to digest other nutritional sources after 6 months of age. Failure in the breastfeeding process is often caused by maternal factors, namely breastfeeding. Actions to facilitate milk production include the oxytocin massage method.Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of oxytocin massage compared to counseling on breastfeeding techniques using leaflets on the milk production of primiparous postpartum mothers.Methods: The study used a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design. The sample selection was accidental sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria, which consisted of 30 postpartum mothers who were divided into 2 groups, 15 respondents were given oxytocin massage and 15 respondents were given leaflets. The data analysis method was univariate and bivariate using Paired T-test and Independent T-test.Results: The results showed that the oxytocin massage treatment had a p-value= 0.000 (p < 0.05) meaning that there was a difference between before and after treatment. The control group had a p-value= 0.432 (p > 0.05) meaning that there was no difference between before and after treatment. There was a significant difference between the treatment group compared to the control group.Conclusion: Oxytocin massage has a significant effect in increasing milk production in primiparous postpartum mothers. Oxytocin massage is more effective than counseling using leaflet media to increase breast milk production.

Efficacy of an Early Self-care-Based Education Program on the Self-evaluation of Primiparous Postpartum Mothers: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

Background: During the postpartum period, due to the lack of knowledge about postpartum complications and care, women, especially primiparous women, lack the adequate skills to adapt to new conditions and have no confidence to care for themselves and their infants. The early mothers' assessment, education, counseling, and nursing interventions can increase their adaptation and reduce their incompatible responses to their infant and partner. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effect of early self-care based education program on primiparous women’s self-evaluation. Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted from May to October 2018 on 58 primiparous women referred to the Neonatal Screening Center in Karaj (IRAN). A random allocation method was applied to select intervention and control groups. The data were collected using a three-part questionnaire consisting of general, developmental, and health deviation postpartum evaluation made by researchers. The intervention group received three education sessions throughout the 3 - 5, 10 - 15, and 17 - 22 days after childbirth. The control group received routine postpartum care. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics (such as mean, standard deviation, and absolute frequency) and statistical tests (including t-test, paired t-test, and chi-square) or non-parametric statistical tests (e.g., the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test) using SPSS version 19. Results: Before the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the mean total self-evaluation scores between the intervention (131.269 ± 12.742) and control (137 ± 9.600) groups (P-value = 0.073), but six weeks after delivery, a significant difference was observed in the mean self-evaluation scores between the intervention (149.692 ± 7.625) and control (122.923 ± 11.495) groups (P-value < 0.001). Conclusions: The results of this study showed that early self-care education program was effective for primiparous women's self-evaluation and increased the postpartum adaptation of the women.

Knowledge, Attitudes, and Awareness Towards Newborn Screening in Association with Received Prenatal Care: A Survey of Primiparous Postpartum Mothers at the Philippine General Hospital

Background. Newborn screening (NBS) is a procedure for the immediate detection of genetic, metabolic, and endocrine disorders in neonates and is crucial for prompt treatment should such disorders be identified. In the Philippines, Republic Act 9288 requires health workers to properly inform mothers regarding NBS and its importance before the procedure. Objective. To determine the knowledge, attitude, and awareness of primiparous postpartum mothers towards NBS Methods: A survey questionnaire was administered to primiparous mothers from Wards 15 and 16 of the Philippine General Hospital from April 11 through May 14, 2017. Results of primiparous postpartum mothers with or without previous prenatal check-ups were then compared. Results. We surveyed 160 mothers, with half (56.3%) aged between 20 and 29 years. There were 149 mothers with and 11 without prenatal checkups. Mothers with previous prenatal checkups were more likely to be aware of NBS than those without prenatal checkups. Knowledge on NBS of mothers with previous prenatal checkups was higher on average compared to those without previous prenatal checkups. There was no significant difference in attitude between mothers with or without prenatal checkups. Conclusion. Prenatal checkups increased the awareness and knowledge of primiparous mothers’ towards NBS, and thus can be a potent vehicle where healthcare providers may inform the mother on the process and purpose of this procedure.

THE DIFFERENCES IN HEALTH EDUCATION ON HAZARD SIGNS IN POSTPARTUM USING THE MEDIA FLIP CHART AND LEAFLETS ON KNOWLEDGE OF POSTPARTUM MOTHERS IN AURA SYIFA HOSPITAL KEDIRI

Most maternal deaths occur during the puerperium period so that health workers should be more careful in handling postpartum mothers. There were 8 of the 10 (80%) normal primiparous postpartum mothers in the Aura Syifa Hospital Puerperal Room who did not know about the danger signs during the puerperium. Providing information and health education regarding danger signs during puerperium is one of the efforts in dealing with this. Health education is carried out using the media of leaflets, booklets, flipcharts, and audiovisuals. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in health education about danger signs during puerperium using flip chart and leaflet media on knowledge of postpartum mothers in Aura Syifa Hospital Kediri. This study used a Pre-Experimental research design with research design using posttest design. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The number of samples in this study were 32 respondents who were in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria which were divided into 2 groups. The Data was collected using questionnaires and data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney U-Test statistical test with a significance value of 0.05. The results of the study shows ρ value of 0.002 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in health education about danger signs during puerperium using flip chart media and leaflets on knowledge of postpartum mothers. Thus it is known that flip chart media is more effective than leaflet media in health education on the knowledge of postpartum mothers about danger signs during the puerperium.

THE EFFECT OF IMPLEMENTATION OF ONE STUDENT ONE CLIENT (OSOC) ASSISTANCE MATERNITY SERVICE MODEL TOWARD ANXIETY AMONG PRIMIPAROUS MOTHER IN THE POST PARTUM PERIOD

Background: Labor is an event and experience in a woman's life. After giving birth, a mother experiences a postpartum period or puerperal period that is a recovery period. Uncomfortable feeling can cause anxiety, especially in primiparous mothers. Therefore, not to have an impact rise in stress, even untill postpartum depression, a midwife as a spearhead of provider maternal health care must be able to reduce the anxiety which experiences of postpartum mothers, especially primiparous through assistance ‘OSOC’ methods.
 Objective: To determine the effect of the application of the OSOC assistance maternity service model toward anxiety among primiparous mothers in the postpartum period at Kendal District Health Center.
 Research Methods: Quantitative data analysis was used to assess the anxiety of postpartum primiparous mothers with the intervention group and the control group, a type of Quasi Experiment research with a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects of this research was divided into two groups, they were intervention groups and control groups. In the intervention group, it was given in the form of providing OSOC assistance in the postpartum period, while the control group was given conventional puerperal care. The research at Kendal District Health Center in May-October 2019.
 Results: There was a significant difference between anxiety in primiparous postpartum mothers with OSOC conventional assistance, and the magnitude of the effect of mentoring pregnant women with OSOC on anxiety by 7.804.
 Conclusions: There was a significant difference between anxiety in primiparous postpartum mothers with OSOC and conventional assistance.

The Effect of Katuk (Sauropus androgunus (L) Merr) Leaf Biscuit on Increasing Prolactine Levels of Breastfeeding Mother

Prolactin is one of the important hormones for increasing the synthesis and secretion of breast milk. Katuk (Sauropus androgunus (L) Merr) leaf biscuits are standardized and practical processed food products that are substituted with katuk leaf extract and have met the requirements as additional food for breastfeeding mothers. In addition to nutritional content, katuk leaf biscuits also contain phytochemical compounds, namely steroids and alkaloids. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of katuk leaf biscuits on increasing serum prolactin levels of breastfeeding mothers. This research was conducted in the city of Bandung. The design used was a randomized controlled trial. The sample was 45 primiparous postpartum mothers who gave birth at the public health center for Obstetrics and Neonatal Basic Emergency Services (Puskesmas PONED) in Bandung City, consisting of 22 treatment groups and 23 control groups. Sampling is conducted by block randomization. Data were analyzed using the Independent T-test. The results showed that there was an effect of katuk leaf biscuits on increasing serum prolactin levels in breastfeeding mothers. It is suggested that katuk leaf biscuits be used as an alternative as an effort to increase breast milk production so that it can support the success of exclusive breastfeeding.

The Effect of Breast Treatment and Oxytocin Massage on the Production of Breast Milk

Breastfeeding is a normal process following childbirth. However, post partum mothers often complain several problems during breastfeeding. A problem that is often complained of by post partum mothers is the lack of breast milk supply. The lack of breast milk production will interfere with the process of breastfeeding, which is one of the causing factors as to why certain mothers do not exclusively breastfeed. To find out the effect of breast care and oxytocin massage on increasing milk production in post partum mothers. This research uses a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were all primiparous post partum mothers with lactation period of 0-7 days. A total of 20 mothers participated in this study and was divided into two groups namely the treatment group and the comparison group. The samples were obtained using purposive sampling. There are independent variables (breast care and oxytocin massage) and dependent variables (milk production). Data collection was performed using a questionnaire, then analyzed using the test Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney Test. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test Results of breast milk production of (p= 0.003) in the treatment group, while in the comparison group the breast milk production was (p= 0.014). The Mann Whitney Test results show thatp= 0.004. It can be concluded that breast care and oxytocin massage effectively increase the milk production of post partum mothers. The therapy is recommended for health professionals to apply breast care and oxytocin massage to increase the milk production of post partum mothers who have less milk production. Combination of breast care and oxytocin massage have more effective benefits in increasing the breast milk production of postpartum mothers.

Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu Postpartum Primipara tentang Perawatan Payudara di Puskesmas Saronggi

ABSTRACT
 Primipara's post partum maternal knowledge about breast care is still very low. Based on a preliminary study at the Saronggi Health Center, four post partum mothers, especially primipara, found that the mother did not know about breast care, so there were many problems in the process of breastfeeding, such as experiencing milk that did not come out, having nipples that went into, experiencing nipples that did not clean, experience pain when breastfeeding. To prevent these problems by taking care of the breast. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of primiparous postpartum mothers about breast care in the Saronggi Community Health Center. This type of research is descriptive with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all primiparous postpartum mothers registered at the Saronggi Community Health Center on January 13-February 13 2020 by 30 people. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling with accidental sampling method. Analysis of the data in this study used a univariate test. The results of the study are all primiparous postpartum mothers at Saronggi Puskesmas aged 20-35 years by 100%, most primiparous postpartum mothers with high school education were 53.3%, most primiparous postpartum mothers were IRT 83.3% and most postpartum mothers Primipara has less knowledge about breast care by 40%. it can be concluded that the majority of primiparous postpartum mothers in Puskesmas Saronggi have less knowledge about breast care. Suggestions are expected that postpartum mothers can add information and increase knowledge about breast care so as to prevent breastfeeding.

Potency of back message and acupressure on increasing of prolactin hormone levels in primipara postpartum; consideration for midwifery care

The purpose of this study was to determine potency of back message and acupressure in increasing prolactin hormone in primiparous post-partum mothers given back massage with acupressure. Hopefully back massage and acupressure can be considered to be practiced in midwifery care. The subjects in this study consisted of 30 primipara first day postpartum mothers who had previously performed a pretest by taking blood samples as much as 3 ccs from peripheral veins to check prolactin hormone levels using the human Enzyme-Linked Immuno-Sorbet Assay (ELISA) Kit at the Hasanuddin University Research Laboratory Makassar, then respondents were asked to fill in the table self-report containing the frequency of breastfeeding in 24h for 3 days. The intervention was given in the form of back massage and acupressure therapy at points LU1, CV17, and SI1 on the body 1 time a day every morning with a duration of 30min for 3 consecutive days then blood was taken on day 4, namely the median cubital vein on the anterior arm to measure the level of the prolactin hormone using ELISA KIT and compared the prolactin hormone before and after the intervention. Data were processed using paired T-tests. The treatment of back massage and acupressure in primiparous postpartum mothers had a significant effect on increasing levels of the hormone prolactin. Back massage and acupressure therapy are able to increase levels of the hormone prolactin so that this therapy can be given to postpartum and breastfeeding mothers to breast milk production and can be considered practiced in midwifery care.

EFEKTIFITAS PAKET ASI (EDUKASI KESEHATAN : LAKTASI DAN PIJAT OKSITOSIN) TERHADAP PRODUKSI ASI IBU PRIMIPARA

Breast Milk (ASI) is the most perfect food for the baby, where the nutritional content in accordance with the need for intelligence. Breast milk contains antibody substances that are useful for preventing infectious bowel disease and optimal digestion of growth and development. Based on the preliminary study of November 2017 on 10 primiparous postpartum women, there were 7 postpartum mothers producing less milk. The objectives of the study analyzed the differences in breast milk production in postpartum women before and after being given a successful breastfeeding package This study used pre experimental design with one group pretest postest model of independent variables Package "Sukses ASI" and the dependent variable was milk production. The population of this study were 20 primiparous postpartum women and the samples were 19 primiparous mothers using random sampling technique. The results showed that most of the Asylum production mothers were less than before the "Successful Breastfeeding" package with mean of 4.21 and most of Asi's postpartum mothers were fluent after being given the "Successful Breastfeeding" package with mean of 7.89. Based on statistical test with paired ttest obtained p value = 0.000, where this value is smaller than alpha 0,05 so H1 was accepted, meaning that there was difference of milk production before and after given packet of success of ASI It is expected to provide inputs for health workers to increase breastfeeding production in primiparous postpartum mothers. This package will be more effective if the delivery of health education not only with edge leafleat by using video. For the people of this "Successful Breastfeeding" package people can become aware of the importance of breastfeeding.
