Musculoskeletal injuries have been constantly related to sports, being considered a common problem among athletes and that directly affects their sports performance. In view of the above, for the purposes of this study, we sought to evaluate the impact of musculoskeletal injuries in amateur beach tennis athletes in the city of Gurupi-TO. To carry out this study, it was a field research, with amateur beach tennis athletes. A questionnaire on sports context and musculoskeletal injuries was applied, totaling 22 closed and open questions. The inclusion criteria adopted were: beach tennis players aged 18 years or older, male and female, resident in the city of Gurupi-TO. In total, there were 72 respondents. In the results, among the main information found, the knee and shoulder regions were the most cited regarding the site of injuries during the practice of beach tennis; Physical Therapy and Orthopedics professionals were the most requested to deal with injuries; pre- and post-workout stretching and pre-workout warm-up activities were the most cited as those that help prevent injuries during sports activities; physical preparation and the necessary recommendations are the two most efficient methods for preventing and treating sports-related musculoskeletal injuries. With this, it was possible to observe that the practice of beach tennis did not in fact cause sports-related musculoskeletal injuries to the participants of this research.
