Sectio caesarea is a solution for handling births with complications, Sectio Caesaria in Indonesia every year deliveries with sectio caesaria are increasing. Surgical procedures such as Sectio Caesaria are actions that cause tension (stress) because this action involves removing the fetus through the abdomen (Laparotomy) which requires an incision into the uterus (Hysterotomy). The aim of this research is to find out the relationship between pain intensity and breast milk production in post-cesarean section mothers at RSUD. Data analysis using univariate, bivariate analysis. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between pain intensity and breast milk production in post-cesarean mothers at the Bandarkar Subdistrict, Simalungun District Trade Hospital in 2022. It can be used as a source of information for mothers who are about to give birth and postpartum mothers to know about description of the intensity of pain in mothers post Sectio Caesaria at the Trade Hospital which causes disruption in breast milk production.

Ambulation Support for Reduction of Pain and Uterine Fundal Height in Post-Cesarean (Case Study)

Cesarean sections continues to increase globally and now accounts for more than 1 in 5 (21%) of all births. A common problem after a cesarean section is discomfort. One of the discomforts felt after surgery is pain. The pain experienced by post-cesarean mothers is related to two main factors: surgical wounds and uterine contractions. This study aims to describe the effect of implementing ambulation support on pain and the reduction of uterine fundal height post-cesarean. The writing method is a case study. Ambulation support intervention was carried out gradually over 48 hours. After the implementation, the NRS pain scale results decreased from 5 to 3. The WBPRS pain scale decreased from 6 to 3. The uterine fundal height decreased from 12.5 cm to 8 cm, decreasing more rapidly by 4.5 cm on the second day. The results show that ambulation support can help reduce pain and uterine fundal height more quickly. It is hoped that through patient education, accompaniment, and support during ambulation, and supervision during implementation, it can significantly facilitate the recovery of cesarean patients.

The Effect of Consuming Boiled Eggs on the Acceleration of Healing of Post Sectio Caesarea Wounds in the Working Area of the Pandanwangi Health Center, Malang City

Caesarean Section (CS) is a surgical procedure to give birth to a baby by making an incision in the uterine wall. Healing of CS wounds requires high protein, but many mothers avoid protein-rich foods for fear of worsening the wound. One of the nutrients that is high in protein, economical, and easy to find is eggs, because one egg contains > 90% Ca and Fe, 9 essential amino acids, and 6 grams of quality protein proven to accelerate wound healing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of boiled eggs on accelerating wound healing Post Sectio Caesarea in the work area of the Pandanwangi Health Center, Malang City in 2024. This research method uses a Quasi Experiment design, the sampling method uses a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 22 people divided into treatment groups and control groups. Data analysis used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test. The results of the study obtained 11 Post Sectio Caesarea mothers who consumed boiled chicken eggs, 9 (81.8%) experienced faster healing compared to the control group (27.3%). Consumption of boiled chicken eggs showed a significant effect on the healing time of stitches in mothers after post-Cesarean section (p-value = 0.030). It is expected that health center officers can provide education to post-Cesarean mothers about the benefits of boiled eggs in accelerating the healing of Cesarean wounds.

Gum Chewing on Accelerating the Bowel Motility after Caesarean Section

Background: Caesarean section is performed when it is indicated to prevent maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity. However, it is associated with certain risks for complications that can hinder the comfort and early recovery after the surgery. Chewing gum as a form of sham feeding aids in resumption of gastrointestinal function among post caesarean mothers. Aim:The aim of the review is to determine the effect of gum chewing on accelerating the bowel motility in post caesarean section. Methods: Review search through PubMed, Google Scholar, Medline Plus and Scopus index. Results:Gum chewing gum provided a significant differences in early return of bowel sounds, time to first passage of flatus, time to feeling of hunger and shortening the length of hospital stay. Conclusion: Gum chewing might be a safe, and inexpensive way to provide the benefits of early stimulation of the gastrointestinal tract after caesarean section. Exclusive breastfeeding has a major impact on a baby's growth and development, as breast milk contains immune system proteins and high levels of bactericides, and breastfeeding can reduce the risk of a baby dying. At the 65th World Health Assembly, member countries of the World Health Organisation (WHO) set a target for at least 50% of babies under six months to be exclusively breastfed by 2025. With massage stimulation that stimulates the release of endorphins and oxytocin, as well as suggestions from the SPEOS method, it will create feelings of calm and strong confidence in the mother, which will influence the let-down reflex. The combination of endorphin massage, oxytocin and suggestive massage can lead to a smooth flow of breast milk, which will help the mother to meet the nutritional needs of the baby for its growth and development. The aim of this research is to determine the success of the let down reflex and the smooth production of breast milk (ASI) after a combination of endorphin massage, oxytocin and suggestive massage intervention. This research uses a post-test only control design, which is a type of true experimental design methodology. The study population consisted of thirty mothers after caesarean section on the first and second day in the delivery and postpartum room of Dr. RSUD. H. Slamet Martodirdjo Pamekasan. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive quota sampling. Data analysis in this study used bivariate and multivariate analysis, namely T-test. In this research design, there were 2 groups, namely the intervention group, namely post caesarean mothers who were given SPEOS intervention and the control group, namely post caesarean mothers who were not given SPEOS intervention. The results of statistical tests using a paired sample t-test on the control group showed results of sig-2 tailed = 1,000 > 0.05, meaning that there was no difference in the let down reflex and smoothness of breast milk production in the control group. The results of statistical tests using a paired sample t-test on the treatment group showed results of sig-2 tailed = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a difference in the let down reflex and smoothness of breast milk production in the treatment group after receiving the SPEOS intervention, so the hypothesis was accepted, meaning that there was a combination effect of SPEOS (stimulation). endorphin massage, oxytocin and suggestive massage) on the success of the let down reflex and the smoothness of the mother's breast milk production after caesarean section at RSUD Dr H. Evaluating the Safety and Efficacy of Manual Lymphatic Drainage with Thai Traditional Massage on Breast Milk Volume, Breast Pain and Engorgement in Post-Cesarean Mothers of Preterm Infants: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Background: Less breast milk, breast pain, and engorgement are issues that the majority of postpartum mothers have to confront and overcome. Objective: This study examined the efficacy of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Thai Traditional Massage (TTM), and standard post-partum nursing care on breast milk volume, breast pain, and engorgement in post-cesarean mothers of preterm infants. Methods: Thirty-two participants were randomly divided into 2 groups: an intervention group receiving MLD, TTM, and standard post-partum nursing care (n=16), and a control group receiving standard post-partum nursing care alone (n=16). Outcomes were assessed through breast milk volume, breast pain and engorgement scores, and participant satisfaction. Results: The study showed that the group receiving MLD, TTM, and standard post-partum nursing care had a safe and equivalent level of breast milk production compared to the control group. Additionally, there were no significant differences between groups regarding daily milk expression frequency, breast pain, and engorgement over seven days (p>0.05). However, the experimental group expressed a high level of satisfaction with the MLD, TTM, and standard post-partum nursing care interventions. Conclusion: The combination of MLD, TTM, and standard post-partum nursing care could be a viable alternative for managing post-cesarean care in mothers with preterm infants. Factors Influencing Prevalence of Surgical Site Infections among Mothers Undergoing Ceaserean Section in Iganga Hospital, Uganda

Caesarean Section as a mode of delivery is the most commonly done surgical procedure in maternity departments all over the world. Surgical site infection complicates about one-third to two-thirds of caesarean sections in low-income countries which is about 9 times higher compared with the high-resource countries. Surgical Site Infection is associated with increased maternal morbidity, prolonged hospital stay and increased medical costs. The development of post-caesarean surgical site infection is hung on a complex interplay of many factors not limited to wound class, immune status, maternal age, hypertensive disorders, ASA classification, number of vaginal examinations, the virulence of the microorganisms, maternal weight, surgical techniques and premature rupture of membrane. The study employed a descriptive cross-sectional and quantitative approach to study the factors influencing the prevalence of surgical site infections among mothers undergoing caesarean section in Iganga Hospital. A sample size of 288 participants were enrolled using a random sampling technique and close-ended questionnaires were employed to obtain the data from participants. Data analysis was done using SPSS version 20 and statistical significance was set at a P-value less than 0.05 at 95% confidence interval. A total of 288 post-caesarean mothers were studied from October – November 2021 in Iganga Hospital. The majority of the participants were married 255(88.8%) and had a secondary level of education 142(49.3%). The mean age of the participants were 25.6 years with 21 as the modal age. The prevalence of surgical site infection among post-caesarean mothers at Iganga Hospital was 20.5% (59 out of 288) and the factors which were statistically influencing the SSI included early rupture of membranes of more than 18 hours (aOR 23.715 95% C.I 5.976-94.117, P 0000) and postoperative haemoglobin (aOR 15.109 95% C.I 3.494-65.333, P 0.000) There’s a high burden of SSI among post-caesarean mothers in Iganga Hospital. Earlyrupture of membranes more than 18 hours and post-operative haemoglobin less than 11g/dl are key contributory factors. Aggressive prophylactic and post-operative antibiotic therapy should be considered in mothers with early rupture of membranes and post-operative anaemia. Pendidikan Kesehatan dan Dukungan Suami Menurunkan Postpartum Blues Ibu Pasca Bedah Sesar

Postpartum blues are changes in feelings that often occur in post-cesarean mothers, such as feelings of sadness, excessive joy, and feelings of depression, sudden crying, and irritability. Occurs from a few hours to a few days after delivery. Postpartum blues can be overcome with health education and husband's support, so the study aims to determine the effect of providing Health Education and Husband Support on the incidence of Postpartum Blues in Post-Cesarean Section Mothers. Quasi-experimental research design, with a pre-posttest approach. Sampling by consecutive sampling on 60 respondents who were divided into control and intervention groups. Instruments used EPDS, data were analyzed using the Mc Nemar test and Chi Square test. There was a difference in the proportion of postpartum blues events between the intervention group and the control group after the intervention group was given health education and husband support (P Value 0.041). Post-cesarean section mothers who received intervention had a 4.33 times higher chance of not experiencing postpartum blues compared to mothers who did not receive intervention (OR: 4.33; 1.20-15.60). Health education and husband's support influence the incidence of postpartum blues in post-cesarean section mothers.

IDENTIFICATION OF BARRIERS TO EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING FOR POST SECTIO CAESAREA MOTHERS IN PAYA PASIR VILLAGE, MARELAN DISTRICT

Giving support to women's breastfeeding after cesarean sections is important to adjust their attitudes, belief systems, and external environments, as well as help them improve their confidence. Information support provided by health workers is an initial effort to influence the understanding of mothers and families about the benefits of breastfeeding. This was a qualitative with a phenomenological approach that explores the various experiences of post-cesarean mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding. The analysis used was thematic analysis with the help of the Nvivo 12 Plus software. The results of this study revealed three main themes regarding obstacles to exclusive breastfeeding for post-sectio caesarean mothers. The themes are anxiety, lack of knowledge, physical discomfort, and lack of support. The anxiety of breastfeeding mothers greatly influences their intention to provide exclusive breastfeeding. The first step in encouraging mothers to continue with exclusive breastfeeding is for health professionals to educate more people about it. Physical discomfort for post-sectio caesarean mothers can increase mothers' anxiety about breastfeeding.

EFFECT OF EARLY AMBULATION ON MATERNAL OUTCOME AMONG POST CAESAREAN MOTHERS

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of early ambulation on maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers. The objectives of the study was to assess the effect of early ambulation on maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers and to nd out the association between the maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers with selected demographic variables. This study was based on Roy's adaptation theory. The research design adopted for the study was post-test only control group design. 60 post caesarean mothers who fullled the inclusion criteria were selected for the study, out of which 30 post caesarean mothers were in experimental group and 30 post caesarean mothers were in control group. Non-probability purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples. The tool used to assess the effect of early ambulation was post caesarean bio physiological health parameters chart. The study was conducted in General Hospital, Neyyattinkara. The effectiveness of early ambulation was assessed by comparing the maternal outcome of post caesarean mothers in experimental group and control group. The result shows that there was a signicant difference in the maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers in the experimental group after performing early ambulation and there was an association between the maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers with selected demographic variables except in case of period of gestation

To Assess the Effect of Early Ambulation and Progressive Exercise on Post-cesarean Section Recovery among Women at Selected Hospitals of the City

Introduction: Cesarean section is a life-saving procedure firmly ensconced in obstetric practice. It poses a barrier to breast-feeding initiation related to delay in maternal-infant contact, maternal pain, and exhaustion. Early ambulation reduces the post-operative complications such as atelectasis, GI discomfort, and circulatory problems. Methodology: A quasi-experimental research design was used for this study carried out in postnatal wards of selected hospitals of the city. The study samples comprised 110 post-cesarean mothers divided into 55 in the experimental and 55 in control group using non-probability purposive sampling technique. Data were collected based on demographic variables, and assessing the post-operative recovery of mothers after the interventions (i.e., early ambulation and progressive exercise) to them through structured nursing assessment sheet. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics such as standard deviation, Karl Pearson’s correlation, Unpaired t-test, and Chi-square test. Results: The analysis findings depict that the corresponding P < 0.05. After intervention of early ambulation and progressive exercise given to mothers in the experimental group, it depicted that majority of the samples 41 (74.55%) had excellent outcome, 14 (25.45%) had good outcome, whereas in control group, 36 (65.45%) had good outcome, and 19 (34.54%) had poor outcome. Conclusion: Above data show that early ambulation and progressive exercises among experimental group were effective and improve postoperative recovery early as compared to control group

Abstract
 Caesarean section is an act of delivery assistance through a surgical process that results in changes in tissue continuity and causes pain. The impact that occurs in post-cesarean section patients includes infection in the suture marks, uterine infections, keloids, blood vessel injuries, and amniotic fluid entering the blood vessels. In addition, the discomfort felt by post-sectional patients can cause mother's dependence on nurses and families in meeting the needs of activities and the relationship between mother and baby is disrupted because the mother is more focused on the pain of the surgical wound. In addition, the process of physical and psychological adaptation of the mother will be more severe when the mother undergoes a surgical delivery process. The pain felt by the mother after childbirth and the physical limitations in carrying out activities tend to have the potential to affect the mother's ability to care for her baby and breastfeed her baby. Mother's Milk (ASI) is the best nutrition for babies because it provides adequate nutrition and is in accordance with the baby's needs. The mother's lack of confidence in her ability to breastfeed her baby can be caused by the mother not making initial contact with her baby. This can affect the welfare of the baby in the future. This research is quantitative research. The design used is cross sectional or cross sectional. The sampling technique was done by consecutive sampling. This study aims to analyze the effect of breastfeeding self-efficacy on breastfeeding behavior of post-cesarean mothers. The results of statistical analysis using chy-square showed that breastfeeding self-efficacy for post-cesarean mothers affected poor breastfeeding behavior by 80.9%. On the other hand, mothers who had poor BSE only 31% had good breastfeeding behavior. These results indicate that there is an effect of BSE on the breastfeeding behavior of post-cesarean mothers at the source of life hospital in Ambon (p value = 0.012). There is an influence between breastfeeding self efficacy on the behavior of breastfeeding mothers after cesarean section at Sumber Hidup Hospital in Ambon.

Effectiveness of early ambulation on maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers admitted in a tertiary care hospital

After every surgery the body takes time to heal. A caesarean section is a major surgical procedure after the mother not only has to deal with herself but also has to take care of her baby. It is the initial day which acts as a turning point in her life. Adding to her plight is the excruciating pain that she feels initially which delays the breastfeeding, further leading to poor infant mother bonding. Study aimed to assess maternal outcome (pain score & infant behaviour) after early ambulation among post cesarean mothers.Objectives: To assess the pain score of post caesarean mothers before and after ambulation.. To assess the infant’s behaviour of post caesarean mother after ambulation.. To compare the maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers in both groups.Methods and Material: Experimental approach with two group pre-test post-test design was adopted for the study. The study included 60 subjects selected by computerised random sampling technique; 30 in experimental and 30 in control group. Pain score assessed by VAS and infant behaviour by modified BOAT.Findings: There was significant difference with regard to application of statistical test results of maternal outcome in experiment group. Thus proving that early ambulation is effective to improve maternal outcome among post caesarean mothers.Conclusion: The study concludes that early ambulation; after six hours of post caesarean section plays a vital and beneficial role in improving maternal outcome of post caesarean mothers, and it can be practiced safely and independently by the nursing staff in hospital setting for the benefits of post cesarean mothers.

Quasi-experimental study on effect of ‘clutch hold’ method of breast feeding on comfort level of post cesarean mothers admitted in obstetrics units of Nehru Hospital, Pgimer, Chandigarh

Statement: A Quasi-Experimental Study on Effect of ‘Clutch Hold’ Method of Breast Feeding on ‘Comfort Level’ of Post Cesarean Mothers Admitted in Obstetrics Units of Nehru Hospital, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Objectives: Main Objective- To study the effect of ‘clutch hold’ method of breast feeding on comfort level of post caesarean mothers. Sub-objectives- 1) To select tool and use it to measure comfort level in caesarean mothers while breast feeding. 2) To develop protocol of clutch-hold method for breast feeding and use it among experimental study subjects. 3) To assess and compare the findings. Methodology: A quasi- experimental research approach was used with cross-over study design. Population was 76 cesarean mothers who met the inclusion criteria and were admitted in obstetrics unit of Nehru Hospital, PGIMER, UT, Chandigarh (India). Result: The present study revealed that that comfort level in post caesarean mothers while breast feeding is independent of methods of breast feeding as it is evident by ‘p’ value 0.122, i.e., ‘p’ value is not significant. Mothers who were exposed to ‘clutch-hold’ & ‘cradle-hold’ methods of breast feeding after caesarean section, experienced no significant difference on comfort level while breast feeding.

Effect of Benson’s relaxation therapy on pain and sleep quality among post-cesarean mothers

Aim The aim of the current study was to evaluate the effect of Benson’s relaxation therapy (BRT) on pain and sleep quality among post-cesarean mothers. Design A quasi-experimental design with the pretest and posttest control group design was used. Setting This study was conducted at postpartum wards at Mansoura University Hospital, Egypt. Subjects The purposive sample consisted of 62 post-cesarean mothers on their first and second postoperative days, who were divided into intervention and control groups of 31 participants each. Tools Structured interview schedule, visual analog pain scale to assess pain intensity, and Groningen sleep quality scale to assess sleep quality were used for collecting data. Results There was no statistically significant difference between the studied groups concerning their general characteristics. Nevertheless, a statistically significant reduction was found in the mean of post-cesarean pain score for the intervention group compared with the control group by 5.09±0.94 versus 7.03±0.66 on the second day and 2.42±1.09 versus 5.32±0.75 on the third day, respectively. Moreover, the quality of sleep improved on the second and third day postoperatively with highly statistically significant difference, whereas the mean score on the second day was 5.03±3.58 versus 8.87±4.17 compared with 2.26±2.48 versus 6.03±4.13 on the third day, respectively. Furthermore, a positive correlation was found between pain intensity and quality of sleep. Conclusion It was evident that BRT is an effective and safe method and have a positive effect in reducing pain intensity and improving quality of sleep among post-cesarean mothers. Recommendations Integrating BRT in the protocol of nursing for the care of post-cesarean section mothers.

FOOT REFLEXOLOGY ON FATIGUE, QUALITY OF SLEEP & QUALITY OF LIFE AMONG PRIMI POST-CAESAREAN MOTHERS - A PILOT STUDY

Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of foot reexology on the levels of fatigue, quality of sleep, and quality of life among primi post-cesarean mothers. Experimental design (pre-test and post-test only) was used in the study. The samples wereDesign: Methods: selected by using a simple random sampling technique by adopting the lottery method (without replacement) at the Sapra Multispeciality Hospital, Haryana. The data was collected by using a self-structured questionnaire on the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), the Groningen Sleep Quality Scale (GSQS), and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHO-QOL-100). The foot reexology was performed among primi post- cesarean mothers in the experimental group for 30 minutes (15 minutes on each foot) twice a day for 5 consecutive days in the morning at 10 am and in the evening at 3.30 pm, whereas the control group received routine postnatal care. The obtained paired 't' value of fatigue, quality ofResults: sleep, quality of life (11.56), (5.75), (5.01) in the experimental group, and (4.14), (2.44), (2.44) in the control group which indicates there were signicant changes in fatigue, quality of sleep, and quality of life in the experimental group, and there was no association between demographic variables like age, sex, qualication, experience, and source of knowledge (p<0.05), along with the obtained post-test correlation, which shows a negative correlation between fatigue and sleep and a positive correlation between the quality of sleep and quality of life in the experimental group. Conclusion: The results showed that foot reexology reduced the level of fatigue and improved the quality of sleep and quality of life among primi post-cesarean mothers in the experimental group, which will help the nurses implement it in the hospitals.

Effectiveness of Zone therapy on Pain among Post Caesarean Mothers

AIM: A study to assess the effectiveness of Zone therapy on pain among post caesarean mothers in selectedhospital at Mangaluru.OBJECTIVES:• To determine the pain among post caesarean mothers using Numerical Pain Rating Scale in experimental andcontrol group.• To find the effectiveness of Zone therapy on pain among post caesarean mothers in experimental group.• To find the association between post-test score among experimental group and selected demographicvariables.METHODOLOGY: Quantitative research method with Quasi -experimental design was used for this study. Atotal of (40) sample are assigned as experimental (20) and control(20) group were selected using non probabilitypurposive sampling technique. Data collection was done using Demographic Performa and Numeric Pain ratingscale. Formal written permission was obtained from the authorities prior to the data collection process. The data wasanalyzed by using both descriptive and inferential statistics on the basis of objectives and hypothesis of the study.RESULT: The mean post-test pain score (2.95±0.825) were less than that of mean pre- test pain score (8.55±0.604)in the experimental group. The findings revealed that the calculated ‘t’ value (15.41) was greater than the tablevalue (t19=2.09) at 0.05 level of significance. In experimental group the mean post-test pain score (2.95±0.825)was less than that of the control group (4.6±0.97). Unpaired ‘t’ test was used ,the findings revealed that thecalculated unpaired ‘t’ value (7.5) was greater than the table value (t38=2.02) at 0.05 level of significance. Hence,the researcher concludes that Zone therapy is effective in reducing the post caesarean pain.

KNOWLEDGE ON BREASTFEEDING AND PRACTICES ON INITIATION OF BREASTFEEDING AMONG POST CAESAREAN MOTHERS ADMITTED IN SELECTED HOSPITALS, GOALPARA, ASSAM WITH A VIEW TO DEVELOP AN INFORMATION BOOKLET: A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY

Breast feeding has been seen as one of the unique biological and emotional inuence on the health of both mother and infant. It is an important determinant of infant health which prevents malnutrition and infections. Cesarean section is a surgery, it can certainly bring about some challenge for mothers who want to breastfeed. Whether it's planned or unexpected, the surgical delivery of a child can affect breastfeeding. Pain, anesthesia, the emotions of a Cesarean Section can affect breastfeeding. One of important factor increases the chances of a successful continuation of breastfeeding is early initiation of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is associated with reduced infant and under-5 mortality and morbidity, protects the neonate from infection and promotes ideal nutrition with lower acute and severe malnutrition. The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge on breastfee Aim: ding and practices on initiation of breastfeeding among post caesarean mothers admitted in the selected hospitals, Goalpara, Assam with a view to develop an information booklet. Method and Materials: A descriptive design was used in this study and purposive sampling technique for obtaining adequate sample for the study. Study was undertaken on 100 post caesarean mothers in selected Hospitals of Goalpara, Assam. Study was umdertaken on 100 post caesarean mothers who fulls the inclusion criteria. Structured knowledge questionnaire and observation checklist was used to assess the knowledge and practices respectively. In this study, Nola j Pender's Modied health promotion model was used for Conceptual framework. A total of 100 post caesarean mothers Results: from Civil Hospital, Maternity & Child Health Centre Goalpara, Assam participated in this study. Out of 100 respondents it was found that majority i.e 75% of the respondents have inadequate knowledge, 25% of the respondents have moderate knowledge and none of them have adequate knowledge towards breastfeeding with the mean 6.54 and SD of 2.35. It was also found majority i.e 70% respondents had fair practice, 20% had poor practice and only 10% had good practice towards initiation of breastfeeding with mean of 4.91 and SD of 1.77. The co-relation between knowledge and practice were 0.278 which shows a fair positive correlation between knowledge and practice. There is signicant association of knowledge with no of parity and practices with age, educational level, monthly family income and number of parity on initiation of breast feeding among post caesarean mothers. Thus, this study gives the area to Conclusion: improve knowledge and practice of post caesarean mothers on initiation of breastfeeding. Educational and hands on training can be implemented.
