The correlation between self-efficacy, self-confidence, and metacognitive skills on biology learning outcomes of student’s high school

metacognitive skills and learning outcomes of class . This research is an ex-post facto type of quantitative research with data collection carried out using self-efficacy, self-confidence and metacognitive skills questionnaires, as well as first semester Biology cognitive learning scores. The sample determination method used is the Area Proportional Random Sampling technique, so the research sample a total of 301 students and the research population was all class XI students of SMAN Polewali Mandar Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. The data was analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of the research show that the self-efficacy, metacognitive skills and learning outcomes of students are in the medium category, and the self-confidence of students is in the high category, and there is a fairly strong relationship between self-efficacy and student learning outcomes, a very strong relationship between self-confidence and learning outcomes, a strong relationship between metacognitive skills and learning outcomes, and a very strong relationship between self-efficacy, self-confidence, and metacognitive skills and student learning outcomes. As for future researchers, it is hoped that they will use more variables and the results of this study are not in accordance with Bandura's theory that self-efficacy is always directly proportional to self-confidence, so it is necessary to study further the factors that influence students' self-confidence.

Assessing Public Awareness and Stakeholder Influence in Renewable Energy Implementation : A Case Study from Sulawesi, Indonesia

This study aims to assess public awareness and stakeholder influence in implementing renewable energy projects in Sulawesi, Indonesia, focusing on the districts of Jeneponto, Pangkep, Polewali Mandar, and Majene. We employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to provide a comprehensive analysis. The data collected includes responses from 400 residents across the selected districts and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGO representatives, and private sector actors. The results indicate that public awareness of renewable energy technologies and policies is generally low, with only 27% of respondents demonstrating basic knowledge. Awareness levels were particularly low in rural areas, where over 70% of respondents were unfamiliar with renewable energy initiatives. The study also found significant correlations between demographic factors, such as education and income levels, and awareness, suggesting that targeted educational campaigns are necessary. In terms of stakeholder influence, the study highlights the challenges faced in implementing renewable energy projects, including financial constraints and regulatory complexities. Despite these challenges, there are opportunities for enhancing renewable energy adoption through multi-sectoral collaboration and culturally adapted strategies. This research’s novelty lies in its comprehensive approach, which integrates public perception with stakeholder dynamics, as well as its focus on a regionally specific context within Indonesia, offering practical recommendations for accelerating the renewable energy transition in similar developing regions. This study also provides valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders aiming to bridge the gap between policy and practice in renewable energy adoption.

Positioning Youth in Maintaining the Mandarese Language

Youth is the potential speaker in the future and plays a significant role in language maintenance and vitality. This study aims to investigate the role, attitude, and language skills of Mandarese youth in maintaining their local language. It applied quantitative research and involved five representatives from eighteen districts in Polewali Mandar regency. The results indicate that the youth's role in preserving Mandarese culture, including its language and ability to use it, is deteriorating. The average percentage of their proficiency in the Mandarese language is 48.5%, while the percentage for the actual role is 27.5%. However, given that the youth still have a positive attitude toward that language, which is approximately 78.75% on average, the effort to save Mandarese from the definitively endangered situation is possible.

DEVELOPMENT OF FLIPPING BOOK LEARNING MATERIALS INTEGRATED WITH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' DIGITAL LITERACY

Digital literacy is the ability to access, manage, understand, evaluate and create information safely and appropriately. This research aims to produce a valid, practical and effective problem-based learning flipping book instructional material focusing on the diversity of mangrove species, Gonda Mangrove Park, Polewali Mandar to increase student’s digital literacy. This research is R&D and follow the ADDIE instructional design model. The population in this study were X4 SMAN 2 Majene, Sulawesi Barat. The research instrument used pretest-posttest, questionnaires and digital literacy observation sheets. Data analysis through N-Gain Test. The findings obtained from this study indicate a percentage of validity test such as material 100%, learning instruction 81.42%, lesson plan 95.75% and educational practitioner 100%. Practicality test including one-to one trial 83.17%, small group trial 86.90% and field trial 88%, three of them categorized as practical. Based on the N-Gain score, the effectivity of instructional materials shows 0.71, it means the learning materials increasing student’s digital literacy effectively.

Causing Factors of Improvement in the Value of IntraNatal Care (INC) on the Passing of the Competence Test of D3 Midwifery Students

One of the compulsory courses in the midwife curriculum is the INC course or Maternity care, where this course is a subject that combines theory and practicum, based on the syllabus where the course consists of 5 credits divided into 3 practical credits and 2 theoretical credits, because there was a change in the learning process due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning system was carried out during/online which had an impact on the GPA obtained by students and also had an impact on the results of the national competency exam, this can be seen from the decrease in GPA scores and graduation during the pandemic.The aim of this research was to find out the factors that cause a decrease in the value of the INC course on the graduation D3 Midwifery students. The method in this study was retrospective with a crosssectional study design to reveal a causal relationship. There were 69 female students who had not passed the Competency Test as Subjects in the D3 Midwifery study. Analysis to see the relationship used the Chi-Square test. The results of the study found a relationship between learning methods (p-value 0,05 <0,042), learning network (p-value 0,05<0,003)and learning location (p-value 0,05 <0,031)with the value of Intranatal Care to pass the competency test for D3 Midwifery STIKES Bina Generasi Polewali Mandar students. Conclusion, there is a relationship between learned networks, learned methods, learned location are a relationship between learned networks, learned methods, learned location.

Pengaruh Metode Hafalan Mufrodat Dalam Peningkatan Keterampilan Membaca Bacaan Bahasa Arab

Learning Arabic is not as easy as learning our first language, namely Indonesian or Bugis, Mandar, Makassar. Teaching foreign languages, especially Arabic, is different from other languages, because teaching Arabic prioritizes several skills, namely listening skills, reading skills, speaking skills and writing skills. This study aims to determine the influence of memorization methods in improving Arabic reading comprehension in grade X students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 (MAN 2) Polewali Mandar, Matakali District, Polewali Mandar Regency. This study involved two variables, namely the independent variable is the influence of the mufrodat memorization method while the bound variavel is the ability to read Arabic readings of learners. This type of research uses a type of quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were students of grade X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 (MAN 2) Polewali Mandar, with sampling techniques. Furthermore, the research instruments used were test sheets and questionnaires to determine the effect of the Mufradat memorization method in improving Arabic reading comprehension in grade X students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 (MAN 2) Polewali Mandar. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results proved that mastery in memorizing mufradat has a strong influence on Arabic reading skills as evidenced by a significant correlation between variable X (mastery of memorizing mufradat) and variable Y (skill in reading Arabic reading). This is proven by obtaining a value of 0.005 (0.000 < 0.005) the relationship is linear, which means that the higher the level of mastery of memorizing mufradat, the higher the ability to read Arabic readings in students

Perbandingan aktivitas harian dua spesies lebah tanpa sengat di Sulawesi Barat

Stingless bees are spread across several islands in Indonesia, including Sulawesi. There have been no reports of daily activity of stingless bees in West Sulawesi Province. Therefore, this study aims to identify types of stingless bees in West Sulawesi, measure their daily activities, and their relationship with environmental parameters. The research was conducted in the highlands (Taupe Village, Mamasa Regency, 1,340 m dpl) and the lowlands (Mirring Village, Polewali Mandar Regency, 63 m dpl). Daily activity data collected which includes the activities in and out of the nest, carrying pollen, and throwing away rubbish. Daily activity observations use the scan sampling method. The results of the research show that the type of bee in Taupe Village is Wallacetrigona incisa (Sakagami & Inoue), while in Mirring Village is Tetragonula sapiens (Cockerell). There was no significant difference in the daily activity of W. incisa in the highlands and T. sapiens in the lowlands (P > 0.05). Significant differences were seen between the activities of leaving and entering the nest and the activities of carrying pollen and throwing away rubbish (P < 0.05). Wind speed is an environmental parameter that influences pollen-carrying activity in T. sapiens in the lowlands (r = 0.83; P = 0.002). Environmental parameters greatly influenced the daily activity of W. incisa at 12.00 pm, with an influence of 93% (P < 0.05). The results of this study indicate that differences in the type and habitat of bees and environmental factors cause differences in the daily activity of stingless bees.

Profile Analysis of Creative Thinking Skills and Sustainability Awareness of Senior High School Students in Polewali Mandar Regency

21st century skills are currently very important in the demands of student learning. However, some previous studies have shown that students have low levels of 21st century skills development. One of the important 21st century skills is creative thinking skills. In addition, in the current era, students must also have an awareness of sustainability, given the many natural phenomena that occur in their lives. This study aims to analyze the profile of the level of creative thinking skills and sustainability awareness in one of the senior high schools in Polewali Mandar Regency. This research is quantitative descriptive research conducted by giving a questionnaire of creative thinking skills and sustainability awareness. The questionnaire instrument was made as many as 15 statements, each of which had four alternative answers. The creative thinking skills questionnaire was made using four indicators namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration, while sustainability awareness uses three indicators namely behavioral and attitudinal awareness, emotional awareness and practical awareness. The results showed that the profile of creative thinking skills in each indicator was 65% fluency in the moderate category, 74% flexibility in the creative category, 67% originality in the moderate category and 67% elaboration in the moderate category. As for the profile of student sustainability awareness on each indicator, namely behavioral and attitudinal awareness of 68% with the category of habits that are being carried out with a sufficient level, emotional awareness of 78% with the category of habits that always occur, and practical awareness of 59% with the category of habits that are being carried out with a sufficient level.

Tinjauan al-Muāmalah al-Adabiyah Dalam Transaksi Jual Beli Batu Bata di Kelurahan Amassangan Kecamatan Binuang Kabupaten Polewali Mandar

This thesis examines the review of al-muāmalah al-adabiyah in the transactions of buying and selling bricks in Amassangan Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The aim of this research is to describe the practice of buying and selling bricks in Amassangan Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency, and to analyze the application of al-muāmalah al-adabiyah in the transactions of buying and selling bricks in Amassangan Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The research questions are (1) what are the practices of buying and selling bricks in Amassangan Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency? (2) how is al-muāmalah al-adabiyah applied in the transactions of buying and selling bricks in Amassangan Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency? The type of research used is field research with qualitative methods, employing a normative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis involves identifying data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that the practice of buying and selling bricks in Amassangan Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency is deemed lawful according to Islamic law as the conditions and pillars of the transaction have been fulfilled. Considering that the principles of al-muāmalah al-adabiyah have been applied in the practice of buying and selling bricks in Amassangan Village, Binuang District, Polewali Mandar Regency, it is recommended that buyers exercise caution and diligence in all transactions, particularly in purchase agreements, by documenting the agreed-upon terms. This approach ensures that transactions result in mutual benefits and contribute to the establishment of an economic environment based on the principles of al-muāmalah al-adabiyah, fostering mutual assistance and the promotion of a thriving economic livelihood.

This study aims to determine the types of mangroves that grow in the Mirring Village Mangrove Forest Area Polewali Mandar Regency and Know the diversity of mangrove plant species that thrive in Mirring Village Polewali Mandar Regency. The population in this study are mangroves that grow in the Mirring Village mangrove forest area. The sample in this study was all types of mangroves in the Mirring Village mangrove forest area. This research uses quantitative methods. Data collection uses the striped path method, which combines the transect method with the plot method. Data analysis was done by calculating the composition of vegetation types and ecological indices of mangrove forests The results showed that the types of mangroves found in Tappina Hamlet Mirring Village there are 9 types namely Sonneratia alba, Rizhopora Stylosa, Xylocarpus muloccesnsis, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Rhizopora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera Parviflora, dolichandrone spathacea, excoecaria agallocha. This article is research that examines the problem of collective memory and the manifestation of material objects in the figure of Andi Depu in Mandar society. Apart from that, this article will also focus on the political actualization of the memory of the figure of Andi Depu by the Masdar Dynasty in the political constellation in Polewali Mandar Regency. By using the library research method to collect important data relevant to the research topic, using a sociological and political approach to see and describe the socio-cultural conditions that occur in Mandar, especially the Polewali Mandar district area. The results of this research show that there is identity politics in the political activities carried out by the Masdar dynasty, especially in the depiction of the figure of Andi Depu in several of his policies while he was Regent in Polewali Mandar Regency.

Uji Akurasi Hasil Pengukuran Arah Kiblat Pegawai Kemasjidan Kua Menggunakan Aplikasi Google Earth

This research aims to analyze the accuracy of qibla direction measurements conducted by mosque employees in the Limboro District, Polewali Mandar Regency, using the Google Earth application. The research method employed is descriptive field research with sociological, normative Islamic, and astronomical approaches. Data was collected through direct measurements by mosque employees using qibla compass tools combined with smartphone compass applications. Subsequently, the qibla direction of mosques and musala was evaluated using the Google Earth application. The research findings indicate that out of 12 mosques and 1 musala sampled, only 3 mosques have accurate qibla directions consistent with the measurements. Meanwhile, the other 9 mosques and 1 musala show significant deviations in qibla direction. These deviations point toward countries such as Yemen, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, and Egypt, with variations ranging from 2° to 27°. The implications of this research can be used to enhance qibla direction measurement methods to align with Islamic Sharia regulations.

Traditional knowledge is a culture or intellectual property that is communal and passed down from generation to generation. One of the districts in West Sulawesi is Polewali Mandar Regency which has a cultural culture that contains a philosophy that has been passed down from their ancestors, namely Saeyyang Pattuqduq. The Saeyyang Pattuqduq tradition is a tradition of thanksgiving for children who have successfully memorized the Qur'an. This type of research is library research using several historical, anthropological and sociological approaches. The data collection methods used in this research are: observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study reveal that First, the form of cultural acculturation with Islamic religious teachings, namely Saeyyang Pattuqduq, stems from behavior. Second,. Third, it has value and attraction for all circles both within the domestic and foreign scope, the performance which is held annually is used as a form of Festival implementation.

Pemanfaatan Rotan di Wilayah SUB DAS Mandar (Studi Kasus : Desa Kalumammang Kecamatan Alu)

The aim of this study; to find out the use of rattan in the Mandar Sub-watershed, Kalumammang Village, Alu District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The use of rattan as a multi-purpose plant in the Mandar Sub-Watershed of Kalumammang Village has quite a lot of potential where there are 4 types of rattan. The rattan plants most widely used for woven materials are emblem (Calamus sp) and Sega rattan (Calamus axillaris Becc.). The types of rattan crafts used by the community include baskets used as containers for transporting goods and clothing containers, these baskets are made from sega rattan. Apart from that, there is also a mattress beating craft, which is woven material made from sega rattan which is usually used to beat mattresses after drying them so they don't get dusty. The traditional use of rattan is local wisdom that has been passed down from generation to generation, but there has been no research regarding the use of rattan as a craft material. Fostering cocoa industry resilience: A collaborative approach to managing farm gate price fluctuations in West Sulawesi, Indonesia

Abstract Agricultural price fluctuations impact the economy and society, highlighting the importance of price stability for sustainable development, poverty alleviation, food security, and economic stability. This issue is particularly pronounced in the cocoa industry, where volatile prices and inefficient supply chains often harm the livelihoods of cocoa farmers. This study aimed to develop a mitigation plan to address cocoa price volatility at the farm level. The study was conducted in Tubbi Taramanu Sub-district, Polewali Mandar District, Indonesia. Through the innovative use of Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM), the key elements are delineated in their hierarchical relationships and categorized into four quadrants: autonomous, independent, dependent, and linkage, to formulate a strategy for stabilizing cocoa prices at the farm level. This research’s findings underscored the importance of reducing farmers’ dependency on middlemen as the primary strategy for mitigating fluctuations in cocoa bean prices at the farm level. This approach is particularly vital due to the excessive reliance on middlemen, a key driver of price instability at the farm level. Furthermore, it is evident that promoting and nurturing cooperation between farmers and cocoa industry stakeholders can prove highly effective and significant when fortified by the local government’s support through the implementation of appropriate public policies.

Exploring e-Commerce Potential: Improving Sales Performance Through Product Innovation in The Agriculture Sector

This study explores the impact of e-commerce on sales performance, mediated by innovation, among agricultural business entrepreneurs in Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi Province. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 97 agricultural entrepreneurs who have adopted technology in their sales processes. The study employs WarpPLS 8.0 for data analysis to test the hypothesized relationships between e-commerce, innovation, and sales performance. Results indicate that e-commerce significantly enhances sales performance both directly (path coefficient = 0.727, p < 0.001) and through innovation (path coefficient = 0.207, p = 0.001). Additionally, e-commerce positively impacts innovation (path coefficient = 0.901, p < 0.001), and innovation itself significantly boosts sales performance (path coefficient = 0.230, p < 0.001). These findings corroborate prior research, underscoring the importance of effective resource management, strategic goal alignment, and employee competencies in improving sales outcomes. Advanced technologies, such as machine learning, further enhance businesses' ability to predict and optimize sales strategies. For agribusiness entrepreneurs in Polewali Mandar, the study highlights the necessity of embracing digital transformation. Despite initial skepticism, the integration of e-commerce platforms and innovative marketing strategies can expand market reach, improve operational efficiency, and build consumer trust. This research provides practical recommendations for leveraging digital technologies to drive growth and profitability. By focusing on consistent and relevant digital content, agribusinesses can overcome barriers and achieve sustainable competitive advantages. The findings underscore the critical role of digital and technological innovations in fostering business success in the agricultural sector.

Pendampingan dan penyuluhan imunisasi dasar lengkap

Introduction: Immunization is the most effective and efficient public health effort in preventing several dangerous diseases. The large role of immunization in saving the world community from pain, disability, and even death due to diseases that can be prevented by immunization such as Smallpox, Polio, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Diphtheria, Measles, Rubella, Tetanus, Pneumonia, Meningitis, and encephalitis. Objective: to increase parents' knowledge through mentoring and counseling about the importance of complete basic immunization for babies at Posyandu Mekar Jaya Batu-batu environment, Darma sub-district. Method: Community service activities carried out include assistance and education regarding complete basic immunization for children. The media used is leaflet material.Implementation of community service uses the community outreach method, namely involving the community and students during the implementation process Result: From the results of the pre-test analysis, most mothers did not know about the importance of stimulation, early intervention detection and growth and development, but after counseling, the post-test results showed that almost all mothers understood the importance of complete basic immunization. Conclusion: From the community service activities that have been carried out at Posyandu Mekar Jaya in the Batu-Batu neighborhood, Darma Village by the community service team of STIKES Bina Generasi Polewali Mandar, it can be concluded that complete basic immunization assistance and counseling activities have been carried out for children and this activity has received a positive response. From partners, it can be seen that during counseling there is quite intensive communication interaction and increased knowledge and high awareness of carrying out complete basic immunization for their children through posyandu/puskesmas. Community service activities can be used as a reference or reference for respondents' knowledge about complete basic immunization for children
