Effect of Food Quality and Physical Environment on Robucca Café Customer Satisfaction in Malang City

In today’s competitive hospitality industry, where customer satisfaction is a crucial driver of business success, identifying the factors that significantly impact satisfaction levels is crucial for the cafe’s management to make informed decisions and enhance the overall customer experience. This research aims to investigate the impact of the physical environment and food quality at Robucca Cafe on customer satisfaction, focusing on identifying which variable among these factors has the most significant influence on consumer satisfaction. This study employed a quantitative research approach, and the participants were customers of Robucca Café. An accidental sampling method was used to select respondents among those visiting Robucca Café, resulting in 60 respondents forming the sample. The data collected will be subjected to statistical analysis, specifically multiple regression analysis using SPSS. The study’s findings reveal that, contrary to the physical environment, food quality positively and significantly influences consumer satisfaction. This suggests that Robucca Cafe may benefit from placing greater emphasis on maintaining or improving the quality of its food offerings to enhance customer satisfaction. The validity of the study’s indicators has been established through rigorous statistical analysis, further strengthening the credibility of the research findings.

The Influence of Interaction Quality, Physical Environment Quality, and Environmentally Friendly Practices on Brand Personality and Brand Reputation with Customer Experience as a Mediating Variable

Aim: This research aims to explain the positive influence of interaction quality, physical environment quality, and environmentally friendly practices on brand personality and brand reputation with customer experience as a mediating variable. This is important and interesting to discuss because it is necessary to implement marketing strategies in a brand or company.
 Study Design: Service quality is evaluated based on interaction quality and physical environment quality and green marketing is evaluated based on physical environmentally friendly practices.
 Place and Duration of Study: This research was conducted in Indonesia from September 2023 to February 2024.
 Methodology: The study used a convenience sampling method and generated 350 respondents. Primary data for this study was obtained through an online questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Model modeling with AMOS 24.
 Results: The results of this study show that (1) the quality of interactions, the quality of the physical environment, and environmentally friendly practices have a positive and significant effect on customer experience. (2) Interaction quality, physical environment quality, environmentally friendly practices, and brand personality have a positive influence on brand reputation. (3) Customer experience has a positive and significant influence on brand personality and brand reputation.
 Conclusion: This research provides new insights into the influence of service quality and green marketing in a company or brand. Companies must manage these two things to improve the brand personality and brand reputation of the company, especially in the food and beverages sector.

Multivariate Analysis of Food Security and Its Driving Factors

The main objective of the presented paper was the analysis of the current state of food security in the world, segmentation of 100 selected countries and determination of its main driving factors. The analysis used 27 indicators covering 5 basic areas: agricultural production, poverty, demography, economic development, and environmental indicators. The analysis was based on data from the FAO and World Bank for the most recent available period, which was year 2020. The data dimension was reduced with the application of factor analysis, and the main driving factors of food sufficiency were determined. The result was 6 factors: technological development, economic development, agricultural production, environmental factor, and physical quality of life and environment. To group similar countries in terms of selected indicators, a cluster analysis was performed, whereby countries were grouped by similarity into three clusters. The 1st cluster consisted of the most economically developed countries, where only 2.54% of the population suffers from malnutrition. The countries in this cluster were characterized by high levels of economic development, high caloric intake of the population, and high, life expectancy. On the other hand, they recorded negative development in demographic indicators such as fertility and birth rates. The 2nd cluster included the poorest areas of the African continent, which were most endangered by direct food insufficiency (23.74% of the population). In contrast to the first cluster, these countries were characterized by low levels of economic development, high prices, and low-calorie intakes of the population, as well as low life expectancy, while on the other hand, these countries had high fertility and birth rates. The third largest cluster consisted of countries with a medium threat of food insufficiency, where 6.37% of the population suffers from malnutrition. The countries in the third cluster excelled in terms of crop and livestock production volumes, but in contrast to this, they achieved lower levels of fat, protein, and calorie intake of population.

Antecedents Word of Mouth Intention in the Restaurant Industry

A restaurant is a place that provides good service to all its customers, both in the form of food and drinks. This research aims to investigate the antecedents word of mouth intention This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. with a sample size of 102 respondents. The data collection tool in this study used an online questionnaire which was distributed to respondents using a non-probability sampling approach using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of using respondents who visited the restaurant at least once a year. Data analysis using PLS-SEM. The contribution of this research is to expand the factors that influence positive customer feelings towards restaurants such as environmental quality, food quality, service quality, and comfort. Service Encounter and Awareness as mediation to explain its influence on word-of-mouth intention. The results show that food quality, personal interaction quality, physical environment quality, perceived value, Service Encounter, and Awareness have a significant effect on word-of-mouth intention. This research implies that there is an influence between food quality, personal interaction quality, physical environment quality, and perceived value with word-of-mouth intention, so it can be concluded that food quality and interaction quality can shape customer relationships in providing positive recommendations about restaurants so that customers will visit. return to the restaurant.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the quality of bakery cafes, positive emotions, customer satisfaction, and revisit intention. By achieving this purpose, we tried to understand the quality of bakery cafes and to provide useful operation plans for bakery cafes to meet trends and consumer needs. In the case of Hypothesis 1, menu quality and physical environmental quality had a positive (+) effect on positive emotions, but hospitality service quality did not. In the case of Hypothesis 2, it was found that the quality of hospitality service and physical environmental quality had a positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction, but the menu quality did not affect customer satisfaction. In the case of Hypothesis 3, positive emotions had a positive (+) effect on the revisit intention. In the case of Hypothesis 4, customer satisfaction had a positive (+) effect on the revisit intention. This study emphasizes the necessity of improving the quality of bakery cafes and the importance of the physical environment in particular.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the physical environment and menu quality of roastery coffee shops on customer satisfaction and their intention to revisit. To achieve these objectives, a questionnaire was developed based on previous research. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed, and after discarding 12, 288 were used for the final analysis. The results are as follow: First, the physical environment of roastery coffee shops has a significantly positive effect on customer satisfaction. Second, the menu quality of these coffee shops also positively affects customer satisfaction. Third, customer satisfaction significantly influences the intention to revisit. This study is significant as it provides theoretical material on roastery coffee shops operated by individual proprietors, at a time when the domestic coffee shop market has reached saturation due to quantitative growth, contrasting with studies on franchise coffee shops.

Dimensions and outcomes of experiential quality in the fitness industry: the case of Turkey

PurposeThe user experience during the use of activities and services is a fundamental aspect for sports managers and can provide a competitive advantage. The purpose of this study was to identify the dimensions of experiential quality and the relationship of this construct with customer trust and customer satisfaction in achieving behavioral intention.Design/methodology/approachUsing a convenience sampling technique, a total of 322 gym users in Turkey participated. A two-step approach was used to test both the model and the research hypotheses [confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM)].FindingsThe interaction quality, physical environmental quality, outcome quality and enjoyment quality were positively related to experiential quality. Similarly, the experimental quality was positively related to customer satisfaction and customer trust. Finally, customer satisfaction was related to behavioral intentions.Originality/valueThis study provides empirical evidence about the importance of experiential quality to gain a competitive advantage in the context of fitness centers.

Using Marketing Mix Strategies to Influence Customer Patronage in an Indigenous Restaurant

Organisations will always strive to ensure that customers come back for repeat purchases and this cannot be achieved if they were not satisfied in the first place. Ensuring customer satisfaction is a prerequisite to customer patronage yet the latter cannot be achieved if there were no conscious efforts by the organization to put in place a blend of strategies that can be effectively measured. This research was carried out to examine the effect of marketing mix strategies on customer patronage in an indigenous restaurant in Abuja, Nigeria. A cross-sectional descriptive study was adopted as the research design. The participants were customers of a restaurant in Abuja, with sample data of 353 collected through a questionnaire. The link between the dependent and independent variables was determined using regression analysis, and data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 24). The results of the regression model show that price has a positive but not significant effect on customer patronage while physical facilities are also established to have a significant impact on customer patronage at Amala Spot, Abuja. This study, therefore, concluded and recommended that restaurateurs, especially indigenous ones must provide customers with logicality of perceived price. One management approach is to offer the appropriate quality of physical environment to customers.

Effects of the environmental factors in call centre interiors: a case study

Environmental factors in workspaces affect employee productivity and satisfaction, particularly in call centres. One of the most challenging issues in contemporary offices is overcoming the problems of concentration on work, despite adverse effects such as insufficient lighting, inappropriate acoustics, or inadequate ventilation. The challenges increase in open-plan solutions. This paper presents a case study from Turkey that elaborates on strategies to improve environmental performance in call centres. It is inspired by a questionnaire conducted among employees of a call centre, identifying existing design lacks. Based on the results, acoustic quality calculations of the physical workspace follow, and initial computing outcomes reveal that the conditions do not meet the standards for call centres. The authors propose strategies to improve acoustic performance in the workspace and apply them to a virtual model. Results reveal that the proposed solutions allow for meeting the standards. Based on the findings, the authors suggest several other strategies for improving the physical environmental quality of the place, thus forming a guideline for the architectural design of call centres. The study derives information from a specific case and context to propose universally applicable solutions. It fills a gap in the literature as it exemplifies the characteristics of call centres in Turkey, which have not been studied before.

Individual, family, and environmental correlates of fundamental motor skills among school-aged children: a cross-sectional study in China

ObjectiveThis cross-sectional study examined the socio-ecological factors influencing fundamental motor skills (FMS) in Chinese school-aged children.MethodsA total of 1012 parent-child pairs were randomly sampled between March-1st and April-15th, 2022. Based on the socio-ecological model of Children’s FMS, three levels of factors: individual-level (e.g., demographic, physical, psychological, and behavioral characteristics of children), family-level (e.g., caregiver demographics, parental support, and socioeconomic status), and environmental factors (e.g., availability of physical activity equipment) were assessed using self-reported scales (e.g., the Self-perception Profile for Children, the Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale, and the 12-item Psychological Well-Being Scale for Children) and objective measures (e.g., ActiGraph GT3X, the Chinese National Student Physical Fitness Standard, and the Test of Gross Motor Development-Third Edition). Multi-level regression models were employed using SPSS.ResultsThe results demonstrated that children’s age, sex, physical fitness, parental support, and the quality of home and community physical activity environments consistently influenced all three types of FMS, including locomotor, ball, and composite skills. Additionally, seven individual-level factors (children’s age, sex, body mass index, light physical activity, sleep duration, perceived motor competence, and physical fitness) were associated with different types of FMS.ConclusionsThe findings underscore the multidimensional and complex nature of FMS development, with individual-level factors playing a particularly significant role. Future research should adopt rigorous longitudinal designs, comprehensive assessment tools covering various FMS skills, and objective measurement of parents’ movement behaviors to better understand the strength and direction of the relationship between socio-ecological factors and children’s FMS.

A Service Quality Assessment Tool for the Quick Service Restaurant Industry in Indonesia

The development of the fast-food restaurant industry, especially in the field of fast food throughout the world, is growing even in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the factors that can affect consumer satisfaction in fast food restaurants in Indonesia through service quality, physical environment quality, and food quality. The population of this study is all consumers of McD fast food restaurants in Indonesia. The number of samples used in this study was 300 samples, where the number was obtained using the ISAC table. The data collection method uses online questionnaires using Google Forms. Data measurement uses a Likert scale. The data that has been collected is then entered into the AMOS 24 Software using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method to be used later to test the measurement model and the research hypothesis. The results of this study found that only service quality and food quality affected consumer satisfaction, while the quality of the physical environment did not affect McD's customer satisfaction.

Kualitas Fisik Lingkungan Kawasan Permukiman di Sempadan Rel Kecamatan Labuhan Ratu, Bandar Lampung

Title: Physical Environmental Quality of Residential Areas on the Railway Boundary Labuhan Ratu Sub-district, Bandar Lampung The high demand for land and limited availability have caused built-up land to move to suburban areas of the city. The concentration of activities, such as establishing settlements and higher education centers, has also influenced the development of built-up land around them. Low-income people take advantage of the opportunities available by utilizing vacant land as a place to live. Land use that is carried out continuously and uncontrollably has an impact on the railway boundary. This study aims to identify the physical condition of the environment in residential areas in Labuhan Ratu Subdistrict, especially in the railroad border area. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results found that the existence of settlements on the railroad border in Labuhan Ratu Subdistrict is included in the category of illegal settlements. Infrastructure conditions such as drainage, lighting, waste management, clean water, and others could be better; the topographic conditions of the area also support this. Increasingly dense illegal settlements and poor infrastructure conditions will affect environmental conditions, such as decreased land balance and environmental quality.

Determining Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction Towards Food Truck Industry Among Youths

This study was to examine the factors that affects the customer satisfaction towards food truck industry among youths. The research method is quantitative, using a survey questionnaire with a simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and reliability analysis in SPSS. The results showed that food quality, physical environment quality, price and food safety have a positive relationship with customer satisfaction. This study conclude that the customer satisfaction will provide an unforgettable dining experience for customers and will help fix every weakness that exists in the food truck industry. This study implies that the food truck industry can expand business internationally and generate a lucrative income by improving the factors that influence customer satisfaction. Future work should focus on the benefits of customers, and the authorities should ensure that food truck owners comply with every element of food quality and safety in food preparation.

Experience Quality Scale for Fitness Centers (EQSFC): Validity and Reliability Study

Abstract This study aimed to develop a valid and reliable tool for measuring the perceptions of quality of experience for fitness center members. The research was conducted with two different sample groups who are current members of fitness centers. A total of 317 (141 females, 176 males) fitness center members volunteered to participate in the explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis survey, and 250 (102 females, 148 males) fitness center members volunteered to participate in the criterion-dependent validity survey. For the validity and reliability studies for the scale, explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, criterion-dependent validity, Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency, and composite reliability were used. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis conducted to indicate the structural validity of the scale, a five-factor scale with 17 items included in i) communication quality, ii) physical environment quality, iii) outcome quality, iv) access quality, and v) entertainment quality was identified, explaining 63% of the total variance. According to the analysis results for criterion-related validity, a statistically significant positive relationship was detected between communication quality (r=.422, p<.001), physical environment quality (r=.582, p<.001), outcome quality (r=.597, p<.001), access quality (r=.458, p<.001), entertainment quality (r=.697, p<.001) and satisfaction. The results indicate that the scale can be used as a valid and reliable tool to measure the quality of experience perceived by individuals concerning the fitness center where they are members. In addition, it is thought that this scale, which details the factors that influence the customer experience in fitness centers for the first time, will provide an important contribution to the literature.

Use of GIS‐based multicriteria evaluation for improved selection of suitable sites for cage fish farming in Mwanza Gulf, Lake Victoria

AbstractStagnating capture fisheries and increasing fish protein demand necessitate aquaculture production to bridge the gap. Lake Victoria is a potential water body for increasing fish production through cage farming. The sustainability of Lake Victoria for cage farming depends on timely and holistic site selection. However, current site selection methods involve complex, resource‐intensive field surveys that lack a holistic approach to integrate multiple factors. Accordingly, information regarding suitable sites for sustainable fish cage farming in Lake Victoria remains scarce. In this study, a transparent geographic information systems (GIS) and multicriteria evaluation (MCE) here after reffered to as GIS‐MCE was used to reveal potential sites to be permitted or avoided during cage aquaculture development in the Mwanza Gulf of Lake Victoria (Tanzania). Our analysis involved weighting and integration of sub‐models representing ecologically sensitive areas, physical environment, and socio‐economic and water quality variables into a single spatial model portraying different site suitability levels in the Mwanza Gulf. The results indicated that the sub‐models identified relatively larger suitable and most suitable sites compared to the overall model. No site maintained its status across all sub‐models. The overall model designated a small area (5.10 km2 or 1.52%) as the most suitable site, with 24.20 km2 (7.44%) as suitable, 64.47 km2 (19.82%) as less suitable, and 42.63 km2 (13.12%) as unsuitable for cage fish farming. The remaining area (188.84 km2 or 58.06%) was a constrained site to be avoided during cage aquaculture development. Taken together, the individual sub‐models are ineffective in designating potential sites for fish cage culture and thus should not be used solely. The GIS‐MCE general model provides a fast and timely method for identifying potential sites for cage farming in Lake Victoria. Fish farmers and managers should use the GIS‐MCE overall model in inland waters to facilitate site selection for complying with licensing requirements and decrease field extensive surveys.

Oradea’s Cultural Event Management: The Impact of the ‘Night of the Museums’ on Tourist Perception and Destination Brand Identity

Understanding how event quality influences destination identity and tourist satisfaction is crucial for creating memorable experiences and fostering positive perceptions of a destination. The ‘Night of the Museums’ event in Oradea, Romania, offers a unique cultural experience, but little research has been conducted to understand its impact on destination perception and tourist satisfaction. This study examines the relationship between event quality, destination identity, tourist satisfaction, and behavioral intentions within the context of Oradea’s Night of the Museums event. Four domains of event quality (visit quality, interaction quality, outcome quality, and physical environment quality) are assessed for their impact on destination identity and tourist satisfaction. Results indicated that visit quality, interaction quality, and outcome quality significantly predicted destination identity, whereas interaction quality and the quality of the physical environment significantly influenced tourist satisfaction. Furthermore, positive event experiences increased the likelihood of tourists recommending the destination to others, which in turn significantly predicted the intention to revisit. These findings have implications for event organizers, destination management organizations, and policymakers seeking to enhance event quality, promote positive destination identity, and cultivate tourist satisfaction, ultimately leading to increased recommendations and revisitation.

Quality of Life and Wellbeing Parameters of Academic Dental and Nursing Personnel vs. Quality of Services.

Quality of life (QOL) is based on one's perception of one's position in life with respect to one's goals, expectations, standards, and concerns. It is also influenced by one's culture and value system, workflow, and workplace situation; in turn, QOL influences the quality of service one is able to provide. In this study, we aim to report on dental and nursing academics' QOL and wellbeing at the end of the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are several studies on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health professionals (nurses and dentists), but it is important to investigate their quality of life three years later; furthermore, knowledge about academic staff is very limited. The World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF Scale (WHOQOL-BREF) tool, recording the physical, psychological, social, and environmental dimensions of QOL, was used. The WHOQOL-BREF was modified using a spiritual coaching/mentoring approach in a two-step design and validation procedure. The modified SHQOL-BREF (Spiritual Healthcare version) designed for this study was uploaded and filled in online during April-June 2023. The staff (N = 120, 75% female) of the Departments of Dentistry (44.2%) and Nursing (55.8%) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens participated anonymously. QOL in terms of physical health was reported at a higher level (M = 72.2 points) compared to social relationships (M = 69 points), psychological health (M = 65 points), and environment (M = 59 points) (scores reported on a 0-100 scale). Overall, QOL was rated at 66 points, while satisfaction with one's health was at 72 points. Job satisfaction (M1 = 3.2) and spirituality (M2 = 3.0) were reported at a medium level on a five-point scale, while personal beliefs and values were reported at a high level (M3 = 4.0). The four areas of QOL are associated with job satisfaction, personal beliefs, and spirituality. Participant age presented a significant moderate-strong effect on physical health (F (3.97) = 2.89, p < 0.05, η2p = 0.08) and on the environment (F (3.97) = 2.80, p < 0.05, η2p = 0.08), and marital status had a significant effect on social relationships (F (1.97) = 9.66, p < 0.05, η2p = 0.09). Married participants reported consistently higher levels of QOL compared to single participants, for all age groups. The department had a significant moderate effect on social relationships (F (1.97) = 5.10, p < 0.05, η2p = 0.05), and education had a significant moderate-strong effect on psychological health (F (2.97) = 3.74, p < 0.05, η2p = 0.07). PhD-level participants in both departments presented higher levels of psychological health compared to those with lower educational levels. Also, participants from the Department of Dentistry reported higher levels of social relationship QOL in all educational groups compared to the Department of Nursing. Overall, according to our findings, PhD participants generally had better psychological health. Those under 40 years of age had higher levels of physical health and environmental quality of life, while married participants and those from the Department of Dentistry had higher levels of social interactions than those from the Department of Nursing. Strategic planning on sustainability and QOL initiatives should be introduced after the COVID-19 pandemic for dental and nursing academic personnel to promote resilience and QOL scores. Enhancing the QOL of academic staff is essential for developing health promotion activities at universities and can help boost performance among staff and students.

A Confirmation of Elemental Factor Toward Perceived Port Quality

There is currently a lack of up-to-date knowledge on the fundamental variables as elemental factors that influence perceived cruise-port quality. This research aims to examine the confirmatory components of those factors in reflective and formative terms in order to develop a set of perceived port quality (PPQ) variables. The study adopts a quantitative research methodology, collecting data via a questionnaire survey. The research sample consisted of 305 respondents, while the collected data were analyzed using GSCA Pro software version 1.1.6. The research findings reaffirm the elemental factors of perceived port quality (PPQ), constructed from the following five significant categories as first-order constructs, namely cruise terminal facilities, port service encounter performance, port location, ground port transportation, and physical port environment quality. These were assessed through the 36 observed variables in this study, which included significant reflective and formative constructs. Executives, cruise tourism managers, and ports, will be able to use the results of the study as guidelines for designing policies and strategies to develop cruise tourism in the port area. Meanwhile, academics may employ these sets of variables to examine in combination with other factors in future research.

Room guest satisfaction towards guestroom physical environment quality in the theme hotel

Guestroom design is essential in any hotel industry that can attract potential new guests. One of the advantages of a unique and memorable pleasant guestroom design is increasing revenue and profit for hotel operations. Today, many guestroom designs can merge with room guest satisfaction. Many themes and colors can enhance guest preferences to stay in the hotel. This study investigates the relationship between guestrooms' physical environment quality dimensions (i.e., guestroom ambiance, guestroom layout, guestroom cleanliness, guestroom furnishing, and guestroom lighting) towards room guest satisfaction. One hundred fifty questionnaires were collected from the guest who stayed at a theme hotel to test hypothesized relationships among the physical environment quality dimensions towards room guest satisfaction. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The study's result indicated significant relationships between guestroom ambiance, guestroom layout, guestroom cleanliness, guestroom furnishing, guestroom lighting, and room guests’ satisfaction. The outcome of this paper suggests that the hotel industry improve their design in hotel guestrooms and the hotel designers for upcoming build new hotels.

THE IMPACT OF SERVICE QUALITY ON THE EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING OF STUDENTS: A STUDY AMONGST COLLEGE STUDENTS IN KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

The emotional well-being and mental health of students in the higher education sector have been greatly researched over the past few years since students are increasingly subjected to various stressors in their daily lives. One element of such stressors would be the impact of service quality within the educational institution itself. However, previous studies had mainly focused on the influence of service quality regarding student satisfaction or motivation and completely overlooked their emotional well-being. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of service quality on the emotional well-being of students in higher learning institutions by employing the HESQUAL model to discern on whether emotional well-being is affected by service quality and if so, the level of its impact. Primary data have been utilised and collected through a questionnaire created according to the model discussed, and were analysed with a sample size of 105 students. The findings of this study showed that Service Quality Factors such as Physical Environment Quality, Administrative Quality and Quality of Support Facilities has an effect on the emotional wellbeing of students, supporting the objective of this study. The data illustrates how each change in the level of service quality influences a change in emotional well-being. However, it is clear that further investigations are required in the future since there are variables that could be improved upon.
