Background: Quality public health services must have sufficient quantities and varieties of medicines when needed. The availability of these medicines can be ensured through good pharmaceutical standards and regulations. Optimal availability of medicines is the availability of medicines that can meet patient needs. One important step in medication management is the purchase of medicines. If the purchase of medicines is not managed carefully and responsibly, for example buying more medicines than needed, it will result in wasteful budget, increased purchasing and storage costs, and medicines or goods cannot be distributed. or expired.Objectives: To find out what factors influence the availability of drugs in the health insurance era (JKN) at the Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2024.Research method: This type of research is quantitative and is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional time approach. Results: There is a relationship between the length of service of pharmacists. The length of service of doctors and the length of treatment of patients with the availability of drugs in the era of JKN at the Grandmed Hospital in Lubuk Pakam in 2024. Conclusion: The availability of medicine for the community is one of the government's commitments in implementing public health services. The efforts made by the government are certainly aimed at maintaining public health.

Attitude of Drugstore Entrepreneurs Towards on the Development Drugstores to GPP Standard

The objectives of this research were to study the components of attitude, including the Cognitive, opinions, and behavioral trends towards the development of quality pharmacies that meet GPP standards, this was a study in accordance with the pharmacy standard requirements of the Ministry of Public Health, To be used to create a tool to collect information from 60 drugstore Entrepreneurs in Luang Prabang city, by using SPSS statistical software to help calculate. Analyze data and explain the results according to the objectives of the study. The results of the study found that Most drugstore businesses in Luang Prabang are drugstores that were established as private enterprises and use their own funds in the first-class pharmacy category, The business has been in business for between 7-9 years, provide technical services yourself, it was open for business as usual from morning to evening and was a store located in the municipality. The pharmacy Entrepreneurs in Luang Prabang city had a high cognitive about the pharmacy standard. In this regard, the pharmacy Entrepreneurs have a mediocre level of knowledge and understanding about the pharmacy data storage system; As for opinions on quality pharmaceutical standards (GPP), overall, there was a high level of agreement in all aspects. For the behavioral trend of pharmacy Entrepreneurs in Prabang city towards the development of quality pharmacy (GPP) with most of them didn’t wanting to develop their own pharmacy to become a quality pharmacy (GPP). The reason being: There was still no readiness for expenses in improving and developing the store, which will cause the cost of selling drugs to increase. And currently, customers in Luang Prabang still don’t give importance to this aspect as they should. The results of the logistic regression analysis as follows in the standard of development as a quality pharmacy (GPP) all include 5 aspects, there is only one aspect by service provision and participation with community and society that have a relationship and effect on the development requirements as a quality pharmacy (GPP) at a 95% reliability level.

Optimization and characterization of a dose-controllable orodispersible dexamethasone film for personalized medicine

Decadron® tablets are commercially available in 0.5 and 4 mg formulations, often requiring the use of multiple tablets or fractional doses when the required dosage is unavailable. This practice can lead to inaccuracies and handling difficulties associated with tablet splitting and crushing tablets into powder. This study aimed to develop an orodispersible dexamethasone film that would allow precise dose control and overcome these challenges. The film formulation was optimized by dissolving varying amounts of hypromellose, glycerol, and dexamethasone in ethanolic solutions. These solutions were cast and dried at different thicknesses. Statistical optimization using the design of experiments was used to determine the ideal film composition. The optimized films met pharmaceutical standards, with a mass variation ≦ 2 %, thickness variation ≦ 2.5 %, and disintegration time ≦ 20 s. The uniform distribution of dexamethasone within the film enabled easy content control based on the film area. Dissolution testing indicated that the dissolution behavior of the film formulation behaved similarly to commercial tablets for up to 90 min. In conclusion, the developed orodispersible film offers precise dexamethasone dose control and addresses the limitations of tablet splitting, positioning it as a promising candidate for personalized medicine applications.

MOF-5 anchored polymer@carbon core–shell nanofibers for efficient removal of chlortetracycline from aqueous solution

Antibiotics excreted by human or animal may contain un-degradable residues, which form high concentration accumulation in water, leading to seriously harmful effects on the environment. Herein, MOF-5 anchored polymer@carbon core–shell nanofibers (MAPC) are fabricated via the electrospinning-hydrothermal synthesis and used for high efficiency removing chlortetracycline (CTC) from water. The anchored MOF-5 enhances the adsorption ability of hydrothermal carbon core–shell nanofibers. The MAPC nanofibers exhibit 395.87 mg/g of adsorption capacity for CTC removal process, which well fitted with Freundlich isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model. After nanofiber membrane filtering, the removal efficiency of CTC is nearly 100 % at the concentration of 5 mg/L. And the chemical oxygen demand (COD) concentration of CTC is reduced from 156.72 mg/L to 50.39 mg/L, that is below the pharmaceutical wastewater discharge standard. In addition, MAPC exhibits high flux and good regeneration performance. This work gives a typical strategy of feasible preparation of high efficiency MOFs anchored carbon-based nanofiber adsorbent towards the pharmaceutical wastewater treatment.

Prescription drugs, including controlled substances, narcotics, and psychotropics, can only be dispensed by pharmacists based on a doctor's prescription at pharmaceutical service facilities in accordance with legal regulations to prevent misuse or abuse, which pose high health risks and can even be fatal. While the development of telepharmacy provides convenience for consumers in obtaining medications, it also introduces risks when prescription drugs are obtained without a doctor's prescription. This study aims to analyze the legal responsibilities of telepharmacy in the sale of prescription drugs and to understand the role of pharmacists in maintaining pharmaceutical standards within telepharmacy. Method: literature review sourced from Google Scholar. The Legal responsibility in Indonesian telepharmacy is governed by Government Regulations No. 71/2019 and No. 5/2021, Minister of Health Regulation No. 14/2021, Minister of Health Decree No. HK.01.07/MENKES/4829/2021, and BPOM Regulation No. 8/2020. Telepharmacy involves pharmacists, pharmacies, and electronic system operators, requiring adherence to service standards, data protection, and collaboration with conventional pharmacies. Schistosomiasis, a neglected tropical disease impacting over 250 million individuals globally, remains a major public health challenge due to its prevalence and significant impact on affected communities. Praziquantel, the sole available treatment, highlights the urgency of the need for novel anthelmintic agents to achieve the World Health Organization (WHO) goal of schistosomiasis elimination. Previous studies reported the promising antiparasitic activity of different terpenoids against Schistosoma mansoni Sambon (Diplostomida: Schistosomatidae). In the present work, the hexane extract from branches of Drimys brasiliensis afforded a diastereomeric mixture of endoperoxide sesquiterpenes, including 3,6-epidioxy-bisabola-1,10-diene (EDBD). This compound was evaluated in vitro and in vivo against S. mansoni. EDBD exhibited a significant reduction in S. mansoni viability in vitro, with an effective concentration (EC50) value of 4.1 µM. Additionally, EDBD demonstrated no toxicity to mammalian cells. In silico analysis predicted good drug-likeness properties, adhering to pharmaceutical industry standards, including favorable ADME profiles. Furthermore, oral treatment of S. mansoni-infected mice with EDBD (400 mg/kg) resulted in a remarkable egg burden reduction (98% and 99% in tissues and feces, respectively) surpassing praziquantel's efficacy. These findings suggest the promising potential of EDBD as a lead molecule for developing a novel schistosomiasis treatment.

The aim of the Indonesian State is to realize social welfare, especially in the health sector. Article 28 H paragraph (1) and Article 34 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia mandate that everyone has the right to welfare and health services, and the state is responsible for providing adequate public facilities and health services. This article uses literature review methods and normative legal research with a legislative approach to examine the legal system related to pharmacist protection. The research results show that there are no statutory regulations that specifically discuss protection for pharmacists in carrying out their practice. Therefore, regulations with heavier sanctions are needed to provide legal certainty for pharmacists and the public. The government needs to monitor pharmacies' compliance with pharmaceutical service standards, improve ongoing training, and update regulations to provide stronger legal protection for pharmacists. Further research is needed to evaluate policy implementation, risk analysis, and error management, as well as explore the role of technology in improving the quality of pharmaceutical services.

Most of the impurities were identified below ICH M7 acceptable limits, except for impurities described in a pharmacopoeial monograph. Compendial specifications are defined based on scientific evidence and play an important role in setting quality and safety standards for pharmaceuticals, however there are opportunities for further alignment with ICH guidelines, aiming for a holistic assessment of the impurities profile to ensure the safety of medicines.

Consequently, the researchers embarked on a study aimed at analyzing the implementation of pharmaceutical service standards at the Pharmacy Installation of Bhayangkara TK III Kendari Hospital. This research is scheduled to be conducted in January - February 2024. This study employed an exploratory qualitative method involving 9 informants at the pharmaceutical installation of Bhayangkara Hospital TK III Kendari. Data collection was conducted using interview guidelines, followed by transcription, introduction to interviews, coding, analysis, interpretation, and data mapping into a matrix. The implementation of health minister regulation Number 72 of 2016 regarding clinical pharmaceutical service standards at the Pharmacy Installation of Bhayangkara TK III Kendari Hospital can be summarized as follows: assessment and prescription services were carried out effectively, tracing the history of drug use was partially implemented well, drug reconciliation was partially implemented, drug information services (PIO) were partially implemented well, but some items such as counseling, visitation, monitoring drug therapy (PTO), monitoring drug side effects (MESO), evaluating drug use (EPO), dispensing sterile preparations, and monitoring drug levels in the blood (PKOD) were not implemented optimally. Overall, the implementation of pharmaceutical service standards according to health minister regulation Number 72 of 2016 at the pharmaceutical installation of Bhayangkara Hospital TK III Kendari has not been optimal. Evaluating knowledge management practices in a hospital pharmacy: A comprehensive investigation

Background: Knowledge management practices in healthcare settings play a crucial role in improving patient care quality and operational efficiency. However, the understanding and implementation of these practices in Oshakati Hospital pharmacy, Namibia, remain unclear. Methods: A structured questionnaire was administered to 26 participants, including pharmacists, pharmacist interns, and pharmacist assistants, to assess knowledge-sharing frequency, documentation practices, technology effectiveness, and the overall knowledge management effectiveness. Results: The study found no significant relationship between work experience and knowledge management practices, indicating potential gaps in understanding and implementation of knowledge management strategies. Participants showed moderate attitudes towards knowledge sharing, with technology perceived as moderately effective in facilitating knowledge management. Conclusion: Enhancing knowledge management practices at Oshakati Hospital pharmacy is crucial to address existing gaps, improve collaboration, and elevate pharmaceutical care standards in the region. Implementing a comprehensive health information system and integrating innovative technologies can enhance knowledge extraction and patient interactions, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes.

Evaluasi Waktu Tunggu Pelayanan Resep Apotek X Kota Bukittinggi

A pharmacy is a pharmaceutical service facility where pharmaceutical practice is carried out by pharmacists. Waiting time for prescription services has an important role in health services. The waiting time is set by the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 73 of 2016, which is between 15-30 minutes. This study aims to determine the average waiting time for prescription services at the XPharmacy, Bukittinggi City. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method and concurrent data collection, that is, research is carried out simultaneously with the services being carried out. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique and the research was conducted for 2 months. From a total sample of 353 recipes, 231 concocted recipes and 122 non-concocted recipes were obtained. The research results obtained were that the average waiting time for services for concocted prescriptions was 11.23 minutes and for non-concocted prescriptions was 6.13 minutes. The conclusion of this research is that the average waiting time for prescription services at the XPharmacy for compounded and non-concocted medicines is in accordance with the standards set by the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 73 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacies.

Evaluation of the Quality of Pharmaceutical Services Based on Minimum Service Standards at Pandanarang Boyolali Regional General Hospital in 2023

Minimum Pharmaceutical Service Standards are very important because they are performance benchmarks that are used as guidelines for pharmaceutical personnel in providing pharmaceutical services. This research aims to determine the suitability of SPM for hospitals in the pharmaceutical sector on the indicators of length of time for prescription service, customer satisfaction, and suitability of prescriptions with the formulary as well as influencing factors at the Pandanarang Boyolali Regional General Hospital in order to help the hospital in improving the quality of better pharmaceutical services. This research uses descriptive analytical research conducted using quantitative research methods. The sample for this research was 300 outpatient patients/prescriptions for indicators of prescription suitability and waiting time, 150 respondents for indicators of customer satisfaction at Pandanarang Boyolali Regional Hospital. The results of the study showed that in the indicator of the length of time for prescription service, the average time for non-concocted prescriptions was 16.33 ± 15,114 minutes and for concocted prescriptions it was 29.85 ± 27,958 minutes, for the patient satisfaction indicator the results were 94.03%, as well as for the indicator The conformity of the prescription with the formulary was 94.72%. Based on the research results obtained, it can be concluded that according to the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 129/MENKES/SK/II/2008 concerning Minimum Service Standards for Hospitals in the Pharmaceutical Sector which has been determined by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia that the Pandanarang Boyolali Regional General Hospital is in the indicator The conformity of prescriptions with the formulary does not meet standards, the average waiting time for prescription services meets standards, and the level of customer satisfaction with pharmacy services in pharmaceutical installations meets standards

Description of High-alert Drug Storage Management in Pharmacy Installation of UNS Surakarta Hospital

Errors in giving first rank drugs in the pharmaceutical field, especially high alert drugs that must be made a top priority. The purpose of this study was to describe the management of high alert drug storage at the Pharmacy Installation at UNS Surakarta Hospital. This research is a descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by direct observation using checklist sheets and interviews with pharmacists based on pharmaceutical service standards in hospitals. The analyzed data is described in the form of words. The results showed that the value of 100% high alert drug list was in the appropriate category, the high alert drug management policy was 85.7% (inappropriate category), stock card recording at the emergency room depot, outpatient and inpatient care was 85.7% and in warehouse 71.4% (inappropriate category). Labeling of high alert drugs in warehouses, emergency department depots, and 80% inpatient and 60% outpatient (categories not suitable). The layout of high alert drug storage is not suitable because inpatient care shows 80% (inappropriate category) and in warehouses, emergency rooms, and outpatient care 100% (appropriate category). Storage temperature and storage system show 100% (appropriate category). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the management of high alert drug storage at the Pharmacy Installation at UNS Surakarta Hospital does not meet the standards of pharmaceutical services at the Hospital.

Evaluation of the Implementation of Pharmaceutical Service Standards at the Keerom District Health Center, Indonesia

Pharmaceutical services are an integral part of health services that focus on optimizing drug use to achieve optimal therapeutic results. Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 73 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards at Health Centers is a reference in providing quality pharmaceutical services. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of pharmaceutical service standards at the Keerom District Health Center. This research uses a descriptive method. Data was collected through questionnaires and observation sheets at 6 Health Centers in Keerom District. Data were analyzed using SPSS to calculate percentages and average values. The research results show that the level of implementation of pharmaceutical service standards at the Keerom District Health Center is in the good category with an average value of 78-84%. The categories with the highest scores are the pharmaceutical preparation management category (84%) and the drug information services category (82%). The category with the lowest score is the quality assurance category (78%). In conclusion, the overall implementation of pharmaceutical service standards at the Keerom District Health Center has reached the good category. Improvement efforts need to be made in several categories, such as quality assurance, to achieve optimal pharmaceutical services.

Since time immemorial, humans have been engaged in research for various purposes in various areas of their lives. Research in Ayurveda is necessary and mandatory. As the struggle and difficulties in a person's life increase along with progressing on the path of salvation, he is suffering from very painful diseases due to not following the health- protecting diet and practices recommended by the famous people. Among these diseases, respiratory disease also holds an important place. This is seen more in the human community. From the study of various texts, it was found that Tindukaghanvati and Kulathaguda Avaleha are effective drug combinations for respiratory diseases. Therefore, in this research work, the study of the above mentioned Yogas on respiratory diseases was considered. The presented research work is being presented before the scholars to reestablish the principles propounded by the Acharyas. The success of the effort depends on the consent of scholars.

On the other hand, one of the well-known and globally recognized medicinal solutions involving water, with valuable biological properties, readily available in pharmaceutical standards, and the most abundant form of water on Earth, is normal saline. In this research, the influence of T-Consciousness Field 2 (TCF2), as the applied field with a specific mission, on the properties of normal saline, e.g., a decrease in electrical conductivity has been studied. According to the results obtained from this research, the trend of temperature changes in normal saline in the control and sample is similar to the temperature of pure water under the influence of TCF2. However, the changes in their pH values vary with time, showing oscillations in both the sample and control of normal saline. Furthermore, the electrical conductivity in the control and sample decreases, but with a steeper slope, reaching approximately a 33% reduction in the sample, according to the mission of T-Consciousness Fields applied in this study. The investigation of other physical properties of normal saline under the treatment of T-Consciousness Field 2 is on the authors' agenda.
