This research looked at 103 articles that had been peer-reviewed, had been contextualized in L2 composition classrooms, and had been published between 1990 and 2015. The total number of publications that were looked at was 103. Hence the study had a sample size of 103. This researcher classified the buildings mentioned in the study papers using Lai's three Ps dimensions, presented in 2010 and still in use today. (Perceptions, methodology, and the outcome) Perceptions, which are a collection of beliefs and attitudes, are the foundation around which the peer review process is based. The term "process" may refer to either the learning process or the processes for putting peer review into action.
Both of these concepts are related. The knowledge obtained via the procedure results from having one's work evaluated by their contemporaries as the end consequence. Research on pupils' perceptions looked at their attitudes and According to the findings of the study's constructs, participants' general perceptions and attitudes, Asian students' perceptions and attitudes (which are influenced by cultural factors), and students' perceptions of peer feedback in comparison to self-feedback and computerized feedback—all of which were the subject of the study's thematic analysis—were investigated. All of these aspects were the focus of the study's thematic analysis. Various research questions were investigated during these investigations, including the following: This was made clear by a study that investigated the many viewpoints and opinions that the students had to offer. In process studies, a variety of different elements were explored. These factors included the form of peer feedback, the timing of instructor influence on peer feedback, grouping tactics, and communication medium. These factors included the influence of training, checklists, and rubrics; relationships between writers and reviewers; the nature of peer feedback; communicative language; and communicative language. All of the following factors were taken into account:
They were all evaluated in depth throughout the product study. This research has pointed up a few holes in our existing body of knowledge and provided suggestions for new lines of inquiry that should be pursued in the future.
