Promoting and spreading peace in Guinea by Arab university graduates

Women constitute slightly more than half of the world's population, and they are the mirror reflecting the growth and progress of societies. The topic of peace is one of the topics that researchers in different languages have been interested in due to the world's suffering from terrorism and violence. Therefore, the role of women is very important in promoting peace in society. Accordingly, we seek to integrate them into achieving tolerance and coexistence and we make great efforts to remove all obstacles that hinder women's participation in various sectors, which would reduce their opportunities. On this basis, we want to show the role of educated women in spreading the culture of peace in Guinea because they have now gained a prestigious position in society and their role in this issue is very important based on the following plan: Introduction: We talk about the specializations that women should be interested in. The first axis is the role of Guinean female graduates in Arab universities in achieving peace and tolerance in Guinean society. The second axis is to present the obstacles facing female graduates in achieving and promoting peace and tolerance In the third and final axis, we mention some of the proposed solutions to overcome these obstacles. Implementation of Religious Moderation Values at Marhalah Tsanawiyah TMI Putra Al-Amien Prenduan Sumenep in 2022

Religious moderation emphasizes balance, tolerance and justice to avoid extremism and radicalism. This principle supports democracy and the constitution, and values diversity. Education in the values of religious moderation ensures that young people are not exposed to radical ideologies and helps maintain harmony and peace in society. Therefore, the aim of this research is: To find out the value of implementing the value of religious moderation for TMI Al-Amien Prenduan marhalah Tsanawiyah students. to find out how to implement the value of religious moderation for TMI Al-Aimen Prenduan's Marhalah Tsanawiyah Putra students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data sourced from primary data and secondary data, as well as data collection techniques used in the form of observations, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of research on Islamic education moderation are relevant because the majority of Muslims in Indonesia support democracy and do not conflict with the country's constitution. Moderation in Islam is the key to facing radicalism and aims to maintain compliance with the rules and respect Indonesia's diversity. The principles of justice, balance, and tolerance in Islamic moderation are important for maintaining independence. Moderation education also plays a role in preventing radicalism in the younger generation which is often misunderstood as jihad.

The impact of education and training on promoting gender equality while simultaneously contributing to sustainable peacebuilding

The interplay between education, training, and gender equality is crucial in the context of peacebuilding. This paper investigates how educational initiatives can foster gender equality while simultaneously contributing to sustainable peace in conflict-affected societies. By examining the transformative role of education, This research investigate the potential to empower women and girls, challenge traditional gender norms, and facilitate social cohesion. Giving access to quality of education enables women to gain essential skills and knowledge, which are vital for their participation in peacebuilding processes. Educational programs that incorporate gender sensitive curricula not only promote awareness of gender issues but also encourage critical thinking and dialogue about conflict resolution and civic engagement. Such programs can help dismantle harmful stereotypes and foster a culture of respect and collaboration between genders. vocational training initiatives aimed at women can enhance their economic independence, which is crucial for their active involvement in peace processes. Empowered women can act as catalysts for change, advocating for their rights and contributing to community resilience. Some case studies from various regions illustrate how education and training have been instrumental in mobilizing women as leaders in peacebuilding efforts. This research discusses the importance of involving men and boys in educational programs that promote gender equality. By engaging all genders in discussions about peace and equality, communities can work towards a more inclusive approach to conflict resolution. The findings indicate that education serves as a critical foundation for building a peaceful society where gender equality is prioritized. The integrating education and training focused on gender equality into peacebuilding strategies can lead to more sustainable outcomes. Investing in the education of both women and men is essential for creating a culture of peace, reducing violence, and fostering inclusive governance. Ultimately, this approach not only benefits individuals but also strengthens communities and contributes to broader societal stability.

Beyond the Bullet Proof Vest: Untold Stories of Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP SAF) Commandos

The ever-changing demographics of society, the rise in terrorism and its complexity, as well as agitations, violent protests, a variety of political activities, left-wing terrorism, insurgency, and militancy, as well as the enforcement of economic and social laws, have all contributed to the difficulty of achieving the peaceful society that we all desire. This study explored the lived experiences of Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) Commandos in Negros Island, Philippines through a qualitative research method. The participants of this study were the selected ten (10) PNP-SAF commandos. Four (4) participants were subjected to individual in-depth interviews, while the other six (6) participants were subjected to a focus group discussion. The findings of this study are described in emergent themes. Six (6) emergent themes described the positive and negative experiences of the participants in the implementation of counterterrorism programs. For the positive experiences, three (3) emergent themes were developed, namely: Personal Satisfaction and Job Fulfillment, Recognition from the Community, and Influence on Community Peace and Order. For the negative experiences, three (3) emergent themes were also developed, namely: Financial Constraints and Limited Resources, Familial Longings while on Mission, and Infiltration in Hotspot Areas. Meanwhile, two (2) emergent themes were formulated to explain how the participants address the challenges encountered in the implementation of counterterrorism programs, namely Coordination and Collaboration with Other Agencies and Community Engagement and Trust-Building Programs. Finally, two (2) emergent themes were created to express the aspirations of the participants to improve the implementation of counterterrorism programs, namely Continuous Training and Skills Development and Adequate Financial and Logistical Support. Based on the emergent themes identified, it is recommended that the PNP-SAF commandos be exposed to continuous training and ongoing collaboration between agencies and partners to ensure an efficient response to counterterrorism and counterinsurgency incidents. By allocating an appropriate budget and implementing the requisite enhancement training and programs, the SAF commandos may be able to increase their effectiveness in implementing these initiatives.

Military, political, and social implications of the legionnaires repatriation to the First Czechoslovak Republic

Importance. The relevance of the research lies in the study of military, political and social aspects of the legionnaires’ repatriation to their homeland. Their involvement in territorial conflicts with Hungary and Poland, integration into a peaceful society after a long absence from home – this experience will be useful for Russia. In the context of an ongoing special military operation, the adapting process of its participants to civil society is extremely important. Solving their social and economic problems with an eye to the First Czechoslovak Republic experience will avoid mistakes. The purpose of the study is to study certain aspects of the legionnaires’ return to the First Czechoslovak Republic, to analyze the Czech legionnaire legislation, to take into account the negative experience of the Czech government in solving their problems. The results obtained can be applied to participants, disabled people and veterans of special military operation.Materials and Methods. Materials from the Digital Library of the Czech Ministry of Defense are used in the study. In order to achieve the goals of the study, a historical and systematic approach is employed.Results and Discussion. Even before returning home, the legion members took their place in the national mythologies of the newly formed state as fighters for independence, as well as continuing the Hussite traditions of Jan Hus, Jan Žižka, and Prokop the Great. The Czechoslovak government developed and enacted legislation aimed at recognizing legion members, providing them with certain benefits when applying for positions in government agencies, businesses, the police, and the gendarmerie. Through these laws, the government paid tribute to the legion’s contributions while also reducing tensions within the legion community. However, some of these laws are not implemented in practice, and they are later repealed in 1924 due to economic difficulties. Once in a different environment than that of Russia, the legions lost the unity and cohesiveness that had been fostered by external factors in Russia.Conclusion. Arriving at their homeland, Czechoslovak legionnaires received honor and recognition from the state, in the form of various privileges, positions in society, and the state’s support. In the future, they will occupy an important place in the military organization and socio-political life of the First Czechoslovak Republic.

“Si vis pacem, impera bellum”: The ICRC, international humanitarian law and peace

Abstract This article examines the links between the concept of peace and international humanitarian law (IHL). It takes a closer look at how the originator of IHL, the International Committee of the Red Cross, justified the existence of this body of law, which was supposed to regulate war, in the face of those who wanted to see war abolished once and for all. The article also questions the attitude of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which, while wanting a peaceful society, did not give itself the means to achieve one.

Implementasi Nilai Tri Kaya Parisudha Dalam Moderasi Beragama

Religious Moderation is a government program to achieve harmony in the lives of Indonesian people with diverse beliefs, cultures and languages. Every religion recognized in Indonesia has authentic sources that can support religious moderation, and Hinduism is no different. This research aims to examine more deeply the implementation of Tri Kaya Parisudha, including cleanliness of mind (manacika parisudha), cleanliness of words (wacika parisudha) and cleanliness of actions (kayika parisudha) to achieve religious moderation. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative research with a library research method, namely studying the sacred library texts of the Bhagavad Gita and Sarasamuscaya, and in-depth interviews with Hindu religious figures who were determined deliberately (purposive sampling). Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. Based on the analysis of the results and discussion, it is concluded that the teachings of Religious Moderation are found in the teachings of the Bhagawad Gita and Sarasamuscaya which are implemented in the Tri Kaya Parusdha teachings. The implementation of the Tri Kaya Parisudha values ​​in Religious Moderation in Indonesia is made easier by increasing understanding and grounding the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and Sarasamuscaya, which aims to build good character and attitudes of Hindus. Having a good Hindu character facilitates social relations between, internal and external religious communities in Indonesia so that tolerance, order and peace in society are conducive.

Professional Values of a Modern Teacher as the Basis for Ensuring the Quality of Education During War Conditions

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem, provides a theoretical analysis of scientific sources on the concepts of “values” and “professional values of a modern teacher,” and defines their role in ensuring the quality of higher education during wartime. It was found that teaching in wartime has become a challenge for all the participants in the educational process and a real test for higher education institutions, which enable young people to receive not only knowledge but also psychological support, and maintain a sense of belonging to the Ukrainian community. Ukrainian educators demonstrate lessons of resilience, struggle, and victory to the world daily. Due to their work, Ukrainian youth can continue learning despite numerous challenges and threats. Ensuring access to quality education at all levels has become a priority of state educational policy. This direction includes creating conditions for continuous learning, developing new models of the educational process, supporting teachers and students, and providing access to innovative technologies and educational materials. It is emphasized that the professional values of teachers have gained particular significance in Ukraine's higher education system. Their activities during the war focus on training specialists who uphold and affirm the values of Ukrainian statehood. Teachers not only educate the new generation but also strengthen belief in the future, inspiring active citizenship, readiness to defend their values, and build a peaceful society. Conclusions are drawn that the modern teacher possesses values that determine the success of their professional activities and ensure the quality of higher education. The main values include: respect for the dignity and rights of higher education students, academic integrity, continuous professional growth, innovation and creativity, collaboration and partnership, empathy, and social responsibility; determination, etc. It is worth noting that emotional resilience and balance are crucial for teachers working in wartime conditions.

The Oromo's Contribution to Civilization in Maintaining Societal Peace Focuses on the Guji Oromo in Southeast Oromia

Gada is the brainchild and democratic system of the Oromo people that stand for all life without any prejudice. Gada regulated political stability, peace, economic growth, social doings, cultural duties, ritual and moral responsibility by its structure, principle and function. The quality of Gada system is that it has division of power, Inclusiveness, principle of check, keep majority rules and minority right, and balance and role of peace building among the society. The general objective of this paper is to present the significance of Gada in keeping peace of society and country event focus on Guji Oromo, south eastern Oromia for all readers. Different paper were written by lots of scholars on the concept of Gada system, but it is scanty on blood feud activities for the resolution chaos and restoration of peace. Thus this paper is done in order to fill the gap. The data in this study consisted of the primary and secondary sources. The primary source largely focus on interview either physically or mobile calling based on snow ball sampling method, discussion and observation different reconciliation. Secondary sources were collected by assessing, analyzing, evaluating, crosschecking and codifying different published and unpublished materials. Finally, these data were described, expressed and articulated through qualitatively research method and based on historical and ethnographic approach.

Contesting “Moderate Islam”: Religious Legitimacy in Postâ–“Civil War Algeria

Globalized security discourses over the last 20+ years have made “moderating” Islam into a hegemonic sociopolitical imperative across the so-called Muslim world, even while “moderate Islam” is largely bereft of an agreed-upon or specifiable meaning. This study analyzes the multitude of frames through which “moderation” (al‐i‘tidal or al-wasatiyya) is deployed by Algeria’s Muslim Brotherhoodâ–“inspired Movement of the Society of Peace (MSP). I argue that the MSP deploys the discourse of “moderate Islam” in its official platforms, public image, and articulations of personal and collective identity among its membership base in order to situate the movement against global stigmas and within the political-cultural contours of postâ–“civil war Algeria.

Reclaiming the garden of Eden’s lost glory: Christian responsibility on ecosystem for sustainable development in Kenya

Humanity was created as God’s vice-gerent and was placed in the Garden of Eden to have dominion over all other creatures and enjoy life in abundance. Man was to have a peaceful co-existence with nature, take care of it and as a r, which is the conscience of the society and agent of peace in the world,esult derive all his existence from its bounties. Soon after the fall, humanity misunderstood the right to dominion to domination and started to mercilessly and selfishly exploit nature. The continuous destruction of the environment by human beings has been the greatest hindrance to sustainable development in the world. In most cases, the Church which is the conscience of the society and agent of peace in the world has not taken it as her responsibility to mend the broken relationship between man and nature. The aim of this study was to look at how Christians in Kenya can participate in environmental conservation for sustainable development. No sustainable development can be attained while nature is groaning in pain. The study which involved 384 respondents mainly Christians drawn from various denominations and counties, found out that the Church in Kenya has not taken it her responsibility to care for the ecosystem. Christians in Kenya have concentrated on other things and have neglected the pertinent issue of ecological disaster which threatens to wipe out all existence. Consequently, Christians should take it as their responsibility to conserve the environment if all any meaningful sustainable development has to be attained in Kenya. This is tantamount to attaining the lost Garden of Eden’s glory.

Empowering Indigenous Communities: The Pursuit of Quality Education and Peaceful Societies

Educational Institutions in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) fervently advocate for Indigenous Peoples (IP) and Peace Studies Education in higher learning, aligning with the CHED Regional Memorandum No. 56 of 2023. The University of Baguio and other Higher Educational institutions actively integrate IP and Peace Studies into their academic programs. This paper addresses two objectives: explaining cultural misappropriation and introducing the Cordillera Heritage Project to address this issue. This study utilizes a qualitative-descriptive research method by participating in the different programs under Project Cordillera heritage. Project HERITAGE (Higher Education Regional Integration and Teaching of Appropriate, Genuine, and Exhaustive Studies on Indigenous Peoples) is a collaboration between the University of Baguio, CHED CAR, and regional Higher Education Institutions. It introduces Cordillera Heritage as a foundational course, Cordillera Heritage 101: ‘History and Socio-cultural Heritage’, preserving Cordilleran identity through knowledge, systems, practices, settlements and institutions. The Cordillera Heritage stands as a living legacy, relevant in contemporary society and vital to the region’s history. It culminates in the Cordillera Heritage Workbook, which enhances educational materials and includes faculty immersion and training services. The University of Baguio’s proactive approach earned commendation from the Commission on Higher Education for being the first to offer Cordillera Heritage 101 across all programs. The institution’s commitment reflects in successfully implementing the first regional HERITAGE Faculty Immersion Training Service, showcasing its dedication. The Cordillera Heritage Project responds to regional educational needs by integrating subjects that respect and promote Cordilleran knowledge, values, and culture. Aligned with the aspirations for autonomy and self-determination in Cordillera communities, this course is a significant step toward preserving and promoting the region’s heritage within the educational landscape.

DEVELOPMENT OF THAI HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS TOWARDS THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS)

At the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, held on September 25, 2015, at the United Nations Headquarters, Thailand, along with 193 United Nation (UN) member states, signed and adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This global development framework aims to achieve sustainable social, economic, and environmental development by 2030, ensuring that no one is left behind. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which serve as a guide for all countries to work together, consist of 17 main goals and 169 SDG targets that are universal, interconnected, and mutually reinforcing. And, there are also 247 indicators designed to monitor and evaluate the progress of development. The SDGs can be grouped according to five interconnected dimensions, known as the 5Ps: People: Focus on developing and eradicating poverty and hunger and reducing inequality within society. Planet: Emphasize the protection and preservation of natural resources and climate for future generations. Prosperity: Promote well-being and a harmonious coexistence with nature. Peace: Uphold principles of peaceful coexistence, a peaceful society, and non-discrimination. Partnership: Foster collaboration among all sectors to drive the sustainable development agenda forward.

Penguatan Nilai-nilai Moderasi Beragama Melalui Program Pengajaran Agama di Desa Tewang Kadamba

This study discusses the application of religious moderation in an effort to build a peaceful and tolerant community in Tewang Kadamba Village, Central Kalimantan. This village is known for its cultural and religious diversity, where the Dayak Kaharingan tribe is the majority of the population while Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity live side by side harmoniously. However, there are challenges related to the lack of motivation in worship activities and the shortage of Islamic religious teachers in the village. This is a serious concern because it can affect the social and religious life of the community. The Tewang Kadamba Village KKN Team took the initiative to empower the community through strengthening religious values ​​by involving the younger generation and cadres in the religious teaching program. This program is expected to encourage positive changes in religious life and social life in the village. This study uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and literature study, with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the religious teaching program in improving the understanding and practice of religious moderation values ​​among the Tewang Kadamba Village community. It is hoped that the results of the study can provide useful suggestions for the development of religious teaching programs in Tewang Kadamba Village, so that they can support the formation of a religious, tolerant, and peaceful society

Indonesian Education Policy and Management in Resolving Social Disaster

Indonesia, an archipelagic nation rich in natural resources, religious variety, and ethnic diversity, faces social complexities due to these diversities. Social disputes often arise from racial, religious, and social justice disparities, as well as resource competition. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach to explore how education can prevent and resolve conflicts by promoting diversity, tolerance, and peace. By analyzing community dynamics through literature studies and theories such as the Explanatory Theory and Peace Education Theory, the study aims to provide new insights into educational management techniques and policies for conflict prevention and resolution. Findings indicate that politics, religion, and ethnicity often lead to social strife in Indonesia. Peace education, through inclusive curricula and teacher training, is recommended as an effective solution. Effective educational management requires community involvement, continual assessment, cross-sector cooperation, and adaptability to regional challenges. Thus, education is posited as a primary tool for fostering a just and peaceful society in Indonesia.

Post-conflict marketing: the role of former conflict stakeholder on post-conflict product/service valuation across countries

PurposeThis research examined the role of post-conflict marketing in supporting businesses within conflict-affected regions, aligning with the objectives of UN Sustainable Development Goal 16 to foster peaceful societies amid increasing global conflicts.Design/methodology/approachDrawing from the theories of social egalitarianism and consumer discrimination, the study explored the moderating influence of conflict stakeholder on consumer willingness to pay (WTP). Understanding such stakeholder roles underscores post-conflict marketing's potential for economic growth and stability. Two experiments assessed the WTP, WTP a premium price and expected attractiveness of strategic products and services developed by key stakeholders (ex-guerrilla, ex-paramilitaries, ex-militaries, victims and other citizens) in the Colombian post-conflict context among both local (Colombian) and foreign (Japanese) consumers.FindingsResults revealed that products associated with victims consistently received higher ratings. A notable contrast emerged as Japanese consumers favoured products of victims over those of regular citizens while rating offerings from ex-paramilitary and retired military stakeholders similarly, unlike their Colombian counterparts.Research limitations/implicationsThe study acknowledges limitations regarding participants' geographic location and experimental design, providing insights for future research and potential refinements.Practical implicationsThe findings offer insights into the impact of consumer attitudes on post-conflict stakeholder entrepreneurship in foreign and local markets, thus contributing relevant knowledge to support market success.Originality/valueThis is the first study assessing the role of various post-conflict stakeholders in influencing consumer evaluations of products and services. Consequently, these findings contribute to the foundational understanding of post-conflict marketing and offer a benchmark for business development in conflict-affected areas.

Comparative study of emotional intelligence of reserved category and unreserved category students at higher secondary level

The study of emotional intelligence of reserved and unreserved category students at higher secondary level makes it clear that social, economic, and cultural backgrounds have a significant impact on their emotional development. Emotional intelligence plays a vital role in the academic performance, psychological health, and development of social skills of students. It also strengthens moral and value-based education, leading to the holistic development of students. Recognizing and understanding the differences in emotional intelligence of reserved and unreserved category students is essential to promote equity and inclusiveness in the education system. It helps in providing equal opportunities and resources to all students. Students with high emotional intelligence are not only successful individually but also contribute positively to society. They are self-aware, self-controlled, and empathetic, thereby increasing harmony and peace in society. Based on the insights gained from the study of emotional intelligence, educational policies and programs can be formulated that ensure the emotional and social development of all students. This helps in making their academic and personal lives balanced and enriched. Emotional intelligence plays an important role in lifelong success. It prepares students to face various challenges of life, so that they can live a successful and satisfied life. The study of emotional intelligence is very important for students of higher secondary level. It not only improves their current academic and social life, but also ensures their future success and satisfaction. Therefore, educational institutions, teachers and policy makers should play an active role in this direction so that all students get proper opportunities and resources for the development of their emotional intelligence. Results of the research study - No significant difference was found in the emotional intelligence of students of reserved category and unreserved category, no significant difference was found in the emotional intelligence of girl students of reserved category and unreserved category.

The Impact of Religion on the Development of Morality

This review explored the relationship between morality and religion. Morality is an essential aspect to a peaceful society. The role of religion in morality is intriguing. Both cultural transmission and interpersonal communication are foundamental aspects of religion. The development of morality can be divided into external and internal factors. This study discussed the different variations in morality and examined whether religion is the only factor that influences morality. It also explored how different religions view a specific factor of morality. The effect of personal moral philosophies on consumers ethical beliefs is included as well. The second section focused on the role of religion in prosocial behaviors. Whether reglious individuals demonstrate more prosocial behaviors was disucssed. Religion does show a significant influence on prosocial behaviors, however, it may vary under different cultural circumstances. This review can provide some guidance to the design of interventions or courses for moral development in schools and communities.

<The Legend of Mighty Baby> is a legend and can be said to be a representative legend handed down in various forms of Korea. Therefore, in this paper, we looked at the modern utilization aspect of <The Legend of Mighty Baby>, focusing on the webtoon <Moving> and the drama <The Rebel: A Thief Who Stole the People>. In the webtoon <Moving> and the drama <The Rebel>, characters who can be called “Mighty Baby” appear and lead the narrative. However, they get a different ending from the legend. In the webtoon <Moving>, Mighty Babies have grown well under the protection of their families, and they are protecting a peaceful society and pioneering independent lives according to their will through solidarity. In addition, the drama <Rebel> showed a scene in which the Mighty Baby grew well under the family’s protection and succeeded in resisting the ruling system based on solidarity with the public. As such, the modern utilization aspect of <The Legend of Mighty Baby> has a different ending from the original, and such a successful and positive ending was realized through familyship and solidarity between people, confirming that it emphasizes the value and necessity of solidarity that is important to modern society.

Analisis Yuridis Normatif terhadap Efektifitas Hukum dalam Penindakan Tindak Pidana Korupsi di Indonesia: Tinjauan terhadap Peran Hukum Pidana

Corruption is a serious problem that damages the social, economic and political order in various countries, especially Indonesia. Corruption has a broad and detrimental impact on society and the state, such as obstruction of development, reduced public trust in institutions, and social and economic disparities. The purpose of this research is to find out how the effectiveness of criminal law in prosecuting corruption in Indonesia based on normative juridical analysis and how the application of criminal law in prosecuting corruption in Indonesia. The type of method used by the author in this research is Normative Juridical research, which is a library legal research conducted by examining library materials or periodic secondary data. Thus the object analyzed with a qualitative approach is a research method that refers to the legal norms contained in the legislation. The conclusion of this research is that as a state of law, Indonesia must carry out a law enforcement process for corruption to ensure the rule of law, justice and peace in society. However, it is clear that law enforcement of corruption in Indonesia is still weak. This is due to the fact that there are still many lawmakers or law enforcers who commit corruption. The existence of lawmakers or law enforcers who commit corruption can reduce public trust in them. And the advice that can be given is that the government needs to revise the laws related to the eradication of corruption to eliminate legal loopholes that can be utilized by perpetrators of corruption. The application of strict sanctions in accordance with the level of crime committed must be carried out to show the government's commitment to eradicating corruption.
