Knowledge and practice of food safety of processors at some collective kitchens in Viet Yen industrial park district, Bac Giang province in 2022

Food safety in industrial park at collective kitchens depends greatly on the knowledge and practices of food processors. This study describes the knowledge and practices of food safety of processors at some collective kitchens in Viet Yen industrial park district, Bac Giang province in 2022. The results show that the general knowledge pass rate is 82.7%; including 100% knowledge about when to wash hands; Wear a mask, keep physical distance, infectious diseases are not allowed to participate in food processing. The overall practice pass rate is 82.7%; the highest scores were in working attire, hygienic practices in preparing and dividing food, compliance with using cutlery and cutting boards for separately cooked raw foods, and compliance with epidemic prevention measures at collective kitchens. Food safety knowledge and practices of processors at some collective kitchens industrial zones in Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province all passed a rate of over 80%. It is necessary to strengthen the organization of training, dissemination, and full updates of the State's regulations on food safety for people directly processing in industrial park at collective kitchens.

Towards a better understanding of capitalization of urban greening: Examining the interactive relationship between public and club green space accessibility

With the inequalities in accessing urban green space being intensified worldwide, the capitalization of urban green space (UGS) is increasingly becoming an important concern for achieving inclusive and sustainable urban development. Although the relationship between greening and capital investment has been widely investigated, little is known about the role of residential club green space in the capitalization of urban greening, particularly in cities with well-established markets for gated communities (GCs). To address this gap, this study put together multiple official data and open data to systematically examine the interrelation between club green space and urban parks in terms of accessibility and affordability. The results demonstrate that club green space profoundly influences residents' daily exposure to urban green space, particularly for walking modes. Additionally, residents’ general willingness to pay for accessing UGS may create a mutually reinforcing effect between club green space and urban parks. As the housing premiums reflect, club green space complements high-level parks (city and district parks) but substitutes small-scale parks (community and pocket parks). Park quality and neighborhood population density may amplify the substitution effect of club greens, while the level of neighborhood aging shows a contrary effect and is reflected mainly in walking accessibility. Foregrounding the often-overlooked residential club green space in UGS studies, this research offers a novel and useful perspective to enrich the understanding of capitalization of urban green spaces, especially in GCs-dominated urban contexts, thus informing green space planning and policy-making.

Semiotic Analysis of Curative Preservation in the Jaran Kepang Art Tradition of Temanggung, Central Java

Art is a skill in creating a quality of work. Indonesia itself is famous for its many arts from Sabang to Merauke. The number of arts that exist around the community makes every region in Indonesia have dances, paintings, or carvings typical of their respective regions, especially in the Java Island area there is the art of Kuda Lumping. Kuda Lumping art performance commonly called Jaran Kepang is one of the original Indonesian traditional arts originating from Temanggung Regency, Central Java. This art is a featured art in Temanggung which is marked by the Jaran Kepang statue located in the eastern district park. Along with its development, the Jaran Kepang Temanggung dance no longer features stories about Diponegoro soldiers that characterize this dance. Some cultural initiators in Temanggung have modified the dance to include elements of Balinese art. Therefore, preservation is a fitting way to preserve and maintain an object or thing that does require protection, care, or preservation in the hope that the information remains. This research aims to preserve the performing arts of Jaran Kepang Temanggung with curative preservation through visual media, namely photography. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach method that aims to describe fully and deeply about various phenomena studied and the use of semiotic analysis techniques. The results of this research will be in the form of a photo presentation of the visual preservation of jaran kepang which is useful to facilitate the delivery of messages from the photo of jaran kepang itself. Although this cultural heritage has begun to compete fiercely with the influx of foreign cultures and arts, this dance still shows high appeal and becomes a performance that captivates the hearts of its audience. In this case, the protection and preservation of the art of jaran kepang is needed so that it will always be recognized by future generations.

Are we ready for the predicted high tourist influx? The case of management effectiveness of Sheikh Badin National Park, Pakistan

The major objective of this research paper is to assess the management effectiveness of Sheikh Badin National Park District Dera Ismail Khan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan with respect to tourist’s satisfaction. A sample size of 389 respondents (local community, wildlife staff, tourists) were selected through simple random sampling to conclude respondents’ attitude towards phenomenon investigated through three-level Likert scale as a measurement tool. Association between a dependent variable (management effectiveness) was assessed on the independent variables (tourist satisfaction) through a chi-square test. Association of management effectiveness was highly significant with tourists satisfaction from promos of park (p = 0.000), access to information (p = 0.000), roads network (p = 0.000), residential facilities (p = 0.000), trained guides (p = 0.000), safety from crimes and criminals (p = 0.000), provision of health and security services (p = 0.000), overall satisfaction of tourists (p = 0.000), recommendation of SBNP to other tourists (p = 0.000) and revisit intentions of tourists (p = 0.000). Improvement in security measures, better advertisement and improvement in park infrastructure were major recommendations considering the study.

Your employees are calling: How organizations help or hinder living a calling at work

When employees are living a calling at work, they tend to experience greater well-being and the organization also benefits. Despite the integral role of the organization, research has not sufficiently explored what organizational factors might help employees live a calling. Drawing on a tripartite theoretical framework of living a calling— characterized by destiny, personal significance, and social significance— and Work as a Calling Theory, we hypothesize that needs-supplies fit, empowerment, and servant leadership are positively related to living a calling. Further, we hypothesize that the benefits of living a calling extend to the organization via a negative association with deviant behaviors, a positive association with LMX relationships, and that consistency of interests (a facet of grit) is a boundary condition of the proposed relationships. Through testing our hypotheses in a multi-wave, multi-source field study of employees and supervisors in a park district, we find that needs-supplies fit and empowerment facilitate living a calling in an organization. Further, consistency of interests moderates the relationship between living a calling and deviant behaviors and LMX. Our findings indicate how employers might help employees live their callings, and, in turn, mitigate negative and attain positive outcomes.

Study On The Availability Of Public Green Open Space Using Geographic Information System Data On Public Green Open Space In The City Of Tebing Tinggi

Based on Spatial Planning Law No. 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning, Article 29 states that the proportion of public green open space is 20% of the city area. In Tebing Tinggi City, based on the 2013-2033 RTRW of Tebing Tinggi City, it is stated that Public RTH covers an area of ​​approximately 72.49 Ha or 1.89% of the city area, which means it is not in accordance with the mandate of Spatial Planning Law No. 26 2007 concerning Spatial Planning. This research was conducted to assess the availability of existing public green open space in Tebing Tinggi City based on image interpretation techniques, spatial distribution, the area of ​​existing public green open space, the service radius of existing public green open space, and the suitability of existing public green open space land. This type of research uses quantitative research and uses spatial analysis techniques. The results identified as many as 60 public green open spaces in Tebing Tinggi City with an accuracy score of 86.36%, which means that the interpretation is considered correct because the spatial distribution pattern of public green open spaces in Tebing Tinggi City is random because the distribution of public green open spaces is not evenly distributed in all sub-districts in Tebing Tinggi City. From the results of the spatial distribution pattern, digitization was then carried out with the result that the total public open space area was 105.27 Ha, which was dominated by the burial area of ​​59.67 Ha or 57.07%. Then, based on each area of ​​green open space obtained, a topological classification of public green open space is carried out, consisting of 7 typologies of green open space, namely City Forest, City Park, District Park, Village Park, RW Park, RT Park, Cemetery and Green Belt, which is then analyzed. Service radius. As a result, it is known that the City of Tebing Tinggi has not been served optimally by public green open space because there is not yet one type of public green open space typology that is capable of serving the city of Tebing Tinggi based on buffer analysis carried out using ArcGis. The only public green open space whose service radius almost covers the city of Tebing Tinggi is the cemetery whose existing existence is capable of serving 99.19 percent of the area of ​​the city of Tebing Tinggi. Finally, a land suitability analysis was carried out between the existing public green open space and the Tebing Tinggi City RTRW for 2013-2033 which resulted in land suitability of 79.92%. Meanwhile, the remaining 20.08% was designated for areas that were not public green open space.

Response of Common Garden Plant Leaf Traits to Air Pollution in Urban Parks of Suzhou City (China)

In this study, to comprehensively investigate the impact of garden plants on air quality, we measured the leaves of 18 common garden plants in three different areas, namely, Suzhou industrial parks (clean air area (CAA)), Xiangcheng district parks (lightly polluted area (LPA)), and Huqiu district parks (highly polluted area (HPA)). We also measured the leaf functional traits of different life-types of plants. To explore the trade-off strategies of the leaf traits of common garden plants in response to air pollution and to assess the adaptive capacity of different life types of plants to air pollution. The results show that plants in the polluted area had higher leaf dry matter content (LDMC) and leaf nitrogen content per unit mass (Nmass), and a lower specific leaf area (SLA), maximum net photosynthetic rate per unit area (Aarea), transpiration rate (Tr), stomatal conductance (Gs), and chlorophyll value (SPAD). Pearson correlation analysis showed that SLA was significantly positively correlated with Nmass, Tr, photosynthetic use efficiency (PNUE), and SPAD, and significantly negatively correlated with LDMC, while Aarea was significantly positively correlated with chlorophyll value. Redundancy analysis revealed that the correlation between each leaf functional trait and atmospheric pollution factors was as follows: LDMC > Nmass > SLA > LA > Aarea > Tr > PNUE > SPAD. The results suggest that different plant types have varying levels of adaptability to environmental conditions. Trees were found to be the most adaptable, followed by shrubs, herbs, and lianas. Additionally, under the stress of air pollution, herbs and lianas exhibited characteristics of “fast investment-return” on the leaf economic spectrum, meaning they were able to quickly allocate resources to maximize their return. However, trees and shrubs displayed traits of “slow investment-return”, indicating a more conservative approach to resource allocation. These results provide valuable insights into the leaf trade-off strategies of plants in Suzhou Park under air pollution stress and can guide the selection of suitable plant species in similar environments.

AbstractUrban green spaces are primarily recognized for their ability to provide opportunities for recreational activities. However, these spaces also offer a broader range of ecosystem services and benefits, which are often overlooked by city inhabitants and the government. This paper utilizes choice experiments to estimate the benefits derived from ecosystem services provided by undeveloped natural areas and urban parks in San José, Costa Rica. We evaluate three ecosystem services provided by undeveloped natural areas, namely habitats for animals and plants, hydrological control, and recreation. Additionally, we estimate the benefits derived from the restoration and construction of three types of urban parks: neighborhood, metropolitan, and central district parks. The results demonstrate that individuals place significant value on the restoration of undeveloped natural areas and urban parks. The findings also indicate variations in the valuation of ecosystem services between undeveloped natural areas and different park types, as well as among households.

Water quality prediction based on AR and LSTM model

Prediction for water quality is essential because poor water quality can result in serious health problems. Turbidity is one indicator to measure water quality. This research uses time series models, the Autoregressive (AR) model and the Long short-term memory (LSTM) model, to predict the turbidity of water based on the dataset collected from Chicago Park District with a long-term time series from 2013 to 2021. Data cleaning and data exploration are done before building the model, and the stationary test and seasonality test are executed to prepare qualified time series. Also, ACF and PACF plots are drawn to figure out the order of AR to select the best model for prediction. AR Model is a traditional time series model which can make a prediction based on the previous values of time series, and LSTM Model is an advanced Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) designed to prevent the gradient from either decaying or exploding when learning from long-term sequences. The research applies these two models to the water quality data and makes an evaluation and comparison between them. It is found that the LSTM Model has a better performance in forecasting a long-period time series than the AR Model.

Accessibility Analysis of Urban Green Space: The Case of Erbil City

Urban green areas are open spaces in urban areas that are mainly covered by vegetation. They can be public or private urban green spaces that include parks, community gardens, forests, and nature reserves. Parks are an important component of urban quality of life if they are well designed and accessible. Accessible parks contribute to physical activity among urban residents. Therefore, the objective of the study was to identify the most significant main accessibility factors that discourage the use of public urban green areas, and examine the extent to which they influence the use of green areas in residential areas of the city of Erbil. This study was conducted in 2017 and 2020 to measure the accessibility of green spaces using network analysis with GIS for Erbil city. The present study represents the first known investigation regarding the accessibility of public green spaces within the city of Erbil. The results show that for community parks, 68% of the population has access with a travel time of 5 minutes, 99% of the population has access with a travel time of 10 minutes, and 100% of the population has access with a travel time of 15 minutes. For district parks, 70% of the population had access with 5 minute drive time. With 10-minute drive time, 96% of the population had access and 100% of the population had access with 15-minute drive time. For neighborhood parks, the results show that 43% of the population had access with 5-minute walk and, 71% of the population had access with 10-minute walk. At 15-minute walk time, 80% of Erbil residents had access to neighborhood parks. Mini parks were accessed by 22% of the population with a 5 minute walk and they were accessed by 52% of the population with a 10 minute walk. With a 15 minute walk, mini parks were accessible to 70% of the population.

A clear evaluationof indicators of quality education wasessential to bridge the knowledge gap on the quality of education in low-fee payingprivate high schools. Essentially, thisstudy wasuniqueas it evaluated the indicators of quality education in low-fee payingprivate high schools in aneducation system where there wasa sharpincrease in the numberof low-fee paying private high schools. The study was guided by the systems theory which looks at the phenomenon at hand through the lens of interrelatedness of elements in the low-fee payingprivate high schools’systems. The study adopted aqualitativemethod research approach, interpretivismparadigmand a case studydesignwhich enabled the researcher and the participants to be co-constructors of knowledge. More so, the sample for the study was 50 participants which was participantsfrom 3 low-fee payingprivate high schools inMabelreign/Warren Park district.Convenience sampling technique was adopted to select fifteen (15) interviewees which was made up of twelve (12) teachers and three (3) school heads. In addition, the number of twelve (12) teachers interviewedwerereached based on the saturation point principle.This study used content analysis techniqueto analyse data.The major findings are that teacher qualifications, and experience, pupil-textbook ratio, teacher-pupil ratio, and teaching and learning resourcesare the major indicators ofquality education. The study recommended that entrepreneurs in low-fee payingprivate high schools should purchase hardcopy textbooksand even e-textbookssuch that they leave their message to the target market of atextbook-pupil ratio of 1:1

Hızla artan kentleşme eğilimi şehirlerde ve çevresindeki yeşil alanlar ile doğal alanlarda kolayca tahribata neden olmakta, söz konusu alanların korunmasıyla ilgili birçok zorluğu da beraberinde getirmektedir. Kentlerde yaşayan insanların günlük yaşamlarında yer alan çalışma, eğitim, alışveriş gibi eylemlerin dışında boş vakitlerini geçirdikleri, mental ve fiziksel olarak rahatladıkları kentsel açık alanlar ve yeşil alanların bu nedenle mekânsal planlamada ve kentsel tasarımda önemli bir yeri bulunmaktadır. Kentsel açık ve yeşil alanların kentlilere sunduğu aktif kullanım alanı olarak parklar; kentlilere çeşitli sosyal, kültürel ve fiziksel aktivite olanaklarını da beraberinde sunmaktadır. Parkların mekansal düzenlemeleri ile bakımı ve yönetiminin sonucunda kişilerde bıraktığı algının temelinde ise, parkların mekan kalitesinin değişimleri yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada Tarihi Yarımadanın farklı mahallelerinde yer alan 3 adet parkta kullanıcıların mekan ile ilişkileri gözlemlenerek, “PPS’in (Public Project For Spaces)” tanımladığı mekan kalitesi diyagramı “The Place Diagram (Mekan Diyagramı)” ve kaliteli park standartlarından faydalanılarak somut mekansal kalite değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Analizlerden ortaya çıkan sonuçlara göre semt parklarının kalite yükseltilmesine yönelik önerilerin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Statistical Analysis of The Effect of Participation in the Interdistrict Tinsley Voluntary Transfer Program On Student Academic Achievement

Academic outcomes are a centerpiece of desegregation literature, as desegregation is often viewed as a means to rectify systemic racial inequality in the education system. However, because a vast majority of desegregation programs in the United States happen within district, and not between districts, where there are the most racial divisions, existing research may not portray the full extent of what racial integration. Investigations into interdistrict desegregation may offer greater insights into the effects of racial integration and better school resources on individual minority students.
 This paper zooms into the Tinsley Voluntary Transfer, an interdistrict desegregation program allowing students in the minority Ravenswood City School District to transfer into neighboring Mid-Peninsula schools. In an effort to contextualize the existing literature on minority academic outcomes of desegregation to interdistrict transfer in specific, the research question posed is as follows: Is there a statistically significant difference in the academic performance of Tinsley transfer students and students who stayed within the Ravenswood district?
 To assess the relationship between these two groups, quantitative statistical analysis was performed on data sets of the standardized test scores from 3rd-8th grade of both Tinsley transfer students in the Menlo Park City School District and Ravenswood students who did not transfer out of the district. The result was that there is a statistically significant difference between groups, though excluding for 7th and 8th grade Math. The paper hypothesizes that this may be partially accounted for by the beginning of tracking in math courses at the Menlo Park district.

Pool Safety — Duty to Supervise

During the summer of 2014, 6-year-old Plaintiff attended a day camp held by the Justice Park District. On June 17, 2014, Plaintiff was one of the many campers that day, Plaintiff was discovered floating in the shallow end of the pool without any flotation device on his body. His face was under water and he was nonresponsive. Once Plaintiff was removed from the pool, CPR efforts began, and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital. He later was pronounced dead.

RESEARCH ON THE LANDSCAPE PATTERN OF URBAN PARKS AND GREEN SPACES – TAKING THE MAIN URBAN AREA OF WUHAN CITY AS AN EXAMPLE

Abstract. Based on the combination of landscape ecology theory and GIS technology, this paper selects the landscape pattern index at the patch type level and landscape level from the two aspects of unit characteristics and landscape heterogeneity, and quantitative analysis of the landscape pattern of parks and green spaces in the main urban area of Wuhan City and suggestions for optimization are put forward. The research results show that: from the patch level, the park green space in the main urban area mainly presents a landscape pattern dominated by comprehensive parks, supplemented by specialized parks, and supplemented by community parks and strip parks. Among them, Hongshan District Park has the largest green space patch area, and Jianghan District has the smallest area; in terms of the average patch area of park green space, the strip park is the largest and the community park is the smallest. From the perspective of landscape level, the diversity index and evenness index of park green space in each district in the main urban area are generally low, among which Jianghan District is the lowest and Hongshan District is the highest; the degree of fragmentation is relatively high in Jianghan District and the lowest in Hongshan District.The patch boundary shape of comprehensive park is complex and has the highest fractal dimension, while that of community park is regular and has the lowest fractal dimension. On this basis, this paper puts forward targeted optimization suggestions based on the research results.
