Impementasi Media Pembelajaran Kantong Doraemon untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Numerasi Matematika Peserta Didik di Kelas I SDN Gemah

Numeracy is a measuring skill in mathematics that involves reasoning skills so that it is necessary for daily life. To remind numeracy skills, you can use a method, namely by applying learning media. This research aims to improve the mathematical numeracy skills of grade 1 students of SDN Gemah Semarang City. This type of research uses quantitative research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The operation of this study is all IA classes of SDN Gemah with a sampling technique using a nonprobability sampling technique with incidental sampling. The data used for evaluation is in the form of multiple-choice questions. Data analysis used normality test and paired sample t-test. The results of this study showed that the mathematical numeracy skills of grade 1 students could improve after being treated using Kantong Doraemon media. The results of the paired t-test, which is the average pretest of 69.67 and the average posttest of 83.00, the results of the analysis of the paired t-test with a significant correlation value of 0.01<0.05 can be stated that Ha is accepted. This shows that learning using Doraemon pocket media can improve students' numeracy skills. Based on the results of this study. It is recommended that teachers can apply various learning media to make students more active so that they can improve.

Geo-Virtual Reality (GVR): The Creative Materials to Construct Spatial Thinking Skills Using Virtual Learning Based Metaverse Technology

Integration between technology, pedagogic, and knowledge are an important requirement in learning geography. This requires support from learning media that adapts to the times. This era's learning media focuses more on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and other technologies that give students the impression that they are seeing an object directly. This article aims to develop metaverse-based learning media in Geo-Virtual Reality. The method used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation)., a pre-test and post-test were carried out to test the influence and effectiveness of the media on students' spatial thinking skills. The influence was measured using the Paired Sample T-test, while the effectiveness was analyzed uses the N-Gain Score. The research results show sig < 0.05, indicating that Geo-Virtual Reality (GVR) in learning affects students' spatial thinking skills. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test shows an N-Gain of 0.47 (medium level), which shows that the media can improve students' spatial thinking skills. However, what needs to be realized is that the use of media must be accompanied by a teacher who masters the content and can convey it to students to obtain optimal results.

Comparison of computer-aided quantitative measurement and physician visual assessment in the evaluation of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis: a vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging study.

Intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis is a leading cause of ischemic stroke in China. Accurate assessment of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis through imaging techniques is crucial for guiding therapeutic interventions and prognostic stratification. Vessel wall magnetic resonance imaging (VWMRI) has emerged as a reliable method for evaluating intracranial arterial vessels. With the advancement of technology, computer-aided quantitative measurement (CAQM) is increasingly used in imaging assessment. This study aimed to compare physician visual assessment (PVA) with CAQM in the VWMRI evaluation of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis. This retrospective cross-sectional study consecutively enrolled patients diagnosed with intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis through imaging examinations at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from December 2018 to December 2023. Clinical data were collected for analysis. Two radiologists independently and separately conducted CAQM and PVA on the VWMRI images of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis patients. The imaging features evaluated encompassed stenosis severity, vessel wall remodeling, vessel wall thickening patterns, fibrous cap characteristics, lipid core ratio, and plaque enhancement degree. The study further assessed the discrepancies and concordance between the assessment results obtained from the two methods using paired sample t-tests, Wilcoxon signed-rank tests, and Cohen's kappa coefficient analysis. This study enrolled a total of 589 patients. The PVA time was shorter than CAQM (12.02±3.63 vs. 20.48±6.50 min). However, compared with digital subtraction angiography, the CAQM had a better area under the curve (0.88) than the PVA (0.80) in assessing luminal stenosis degree. The proportions of vessel wall remodeling (227/38.5%) and plaque surface irregularity (127/21.6%) evaluated by PVA were both lower than those by CAQM (438/74.4%, 171/29.0%). Meanwhile, no statistically significant differences were found in the patterns of wall thickening (P=0.12/0.39) and the proportion of plaque lipid core (P=0.65 and P=0.27), with good agreement between the two methods (K=0.67/0.85, K=0.97/0.94). While there were no statistical differences in the assessment of plaque enhancement degree in specific arteries (middle cerebral artery and basilar artery) (n=77/36, P=0.08/0.21), an overall statistical difference was observed (n=113, P=0.03). Additionally, there was poor agreement in assessing plaque enhancement degree, with Cohen's kappa values of 0.13 (-0.05 to 0.32) and 0.16 (-0.06 to 0.39). This study revealed disparities between PVA and CAQM in the evaluation of intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis of VWMRI. CAQM is recommended for assessing stenosis degree, vessel wall remodeling, and fibrous cap characteristics. However, PVA is suggested to assess wall thickening patterns and lipid core ratio to expedite diagnosis. Further research is needed to validate CAQM's superiority in evaluating plaque enhancement degrees.

Sleep hygiene efficacy on quality of sleep and mental ability among insomniac patients

ABSTRACT Background: Insomnia affects both quality of life and productivity at work, and it raises the risk of other diseases, such as depression, that coexist with insomnia. Nowadays, it is highly advised to treat insomnia with behavioral and psychological therapeutic methods to ensure the quality of your sleep. Aim: This study aimed to find the efficacy of sleep hygiene techniques in improving sleep quality and mental ability among insomnia clients. Methods: Self-structured questionnaires used to evaluate sleep quality and the McQuaig Mental Ability Test to test mental ability were used to collect data during the study’s six-week duration, which involved the recruitment of 50 participants using a purposive sample technique. A paired sample t-test and Pearson correlation were used for the statistical analysis. Results: Data analysis shows that sleep quality (t = 33.35) (P = 0.0000) and mental ability (t = 35.33) (P = 0.0001) are both highly significant at P =0.0001. Correlation regression data of sleep hygiene elements such as schedule, avoiding caffeine and beverages, relaxation routine, and sleep-stimulating environment shows that there is a positive correlation with the quality of sleep at r = 0.9, 0.89, 0.75, and 0.68, whereas P = 0.000, 0.01, and 0.023, respectively. Similar to this, there is a positive association between mental ability and good sleep habits such as a relaxing routine, a sleep-promoting environment, and a schedule with r = 0.91, 0.88, and 0.92, respectively, with P values of 0.0001, 0.001, and 0.001. Conclusion: The results of the study provide compelling evidence that good sleep hygiene can help enhance insomniacs’ mental ability and sleep quality. Furthermore, those with moderate levels of sleep quality, those between the ages of 18 and 38, and those with higher education benefited more than others.

The Effect of a Health Literacy Program on Alcohol Use among Medical Students in Hubei Province, China: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Introduction: Health literacy (HL) plays an important role in alcohol consumption. Improving alcohol-related HL offers an integrated approach to prevent and reduce high-risk alcohol use. This study aimed to determine the effects of a HL program (HLP) on medical students’ drinking behaviors. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted from June 2023 to January 2024 among medical students. One hundred and four students were randomly allocated to the intervention (n = 52) and control (n = 52) groups. The intervention group received the HLP over six sessions, while the control group received standard health education. Data were collected through interviews using a structured interview questionnaire. Independent t-tests, paired sample t-tests, Chi-squared tests, and Chi-square for trend were applied for statistical analysis. Results: Following the HLP, the intervention group exhibited a significant increase in the mean total HL score, cognitive skills, access skills, communication skills, self-management skills, media skills, and decision skills compared to the control group (P &lt; 0.05). Moreover, the intervention group showed a significant decrease in the number of harmful drinkers compared to the control group (P &lt; 0.05). Conclusion: HLPs are effective in improving HL and reducing alcohol consumption among medical students. Our findings suggest incorporating HLPs into adolescents’ health education activities.

Within-subject time series angular velocity differences between in-game high and low velocity fastballs in college baseball pitchers

PurposeThe purpose of the current study is to investigate the within-pitcher differences in time series angular velocities of the pelvis, trunk, shoulder, and elbow for high and low velocity fastballs in college baseball pitchers. MethodsIn-game data were retrospectively analyzed from 82 NCAA Division 1 pitchers ([1.89 ​± ​0.06] m, [92.8 ​± ​9.5] kg). Kinematic data were collected using an in-game markerless motion capture system. Time series data of pelvis, trunk, shoulder, and elbow angular velocities for each pitcher's fastest and slowest fastball were extracted for the pitch cycle (foot contact to ball release) and used for analysis. Within-subject time series comparisons were conducted using statistical parametric mapping (SPM) paired samples t-tests (α ​= ​0.012 5). ResultsEach of the tested segments were significantly faster in the fastest fastball trial compared to the slowest fastball trial. The duration of significance in reference to the pitch cycle, test statistic, and p-value, for each segment are as follows: Pelvis: 0%–4%, t ​= ​3.54, p ​= ​0.012; Trunk: 30%–67%, t ​= ​5.62, p ​< ​0.001; Shoulder External Rotation: 3%–50%, t ​= ​−6.03, p ​< ​0.001; Shoulder Internal Rotation: 96%–100%, t ​= ​4.11, p ​= ​0.008; Elbow: 75%–86%, t ​= ​4.13, p ​< ​0.001. DiscussionWithin-subjects differences exist in time series angular velocities when comparing the fastest and slowest fastball. These time series differences provide additional information to distinguish fastball velocity beyond what discrete metrics can provide. Pitchers should look to rotate each segment faster, and optimize the sequencing of these movements, to increase pitch velocity.

Effects of inductive and deductive aural vocabulary pre-teaching on EFL learners' word recognition from speech.

This study explores the impact of inductive and deductive aural vocabulary pre-teaching on word recognition from speech (WRS) among 72 Iranian EFL intermediate learners from a language institute. Participants were randomly divided into three groups: Group A (inductive), Group B (deductive), and Group C (routine instruction of the language institute). Each group consisted of 24 participants, with 12 male and 12 female intermediate EFL learners. Assessments included pre-test, immediate post-test, and delayed post-test. Statistical analyses, including mixed ANOVA, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe tests, and paired samples t-tests, were conducted. Results indicated superior performance in experimental groups with no significant difference between inductive and deductive methods, showcasing lasting effects on WRS. This study provides valuable insights for language educators, learners, curriculum designers, and institutes to enhance EFL listening proficiency through aural vocabulary instructions.

Effectiveness of a package of community-based mental healthcare services to address perinatal mental disorders in Bangladesh: A cluster-randomized controlled trial

BackgroundPerinatal mental disorders of women have an impact on their pregnancy and their child’s brain development across low and middle-income countries. However, to address this issue, there are no specific guidelines for community-level service providers in Bangladesh. Therefore, we aimed to develop a community-based mental healthcare (CBMHC) service package and test its effectiveness in reducing depression, anxiety, and stress among mothers during the perinatal period. MethodsA cluster-randomized controlled trial (cRCT) was applied to test the CBMHC package in 2017 and 2018. It was provided to one group of mothers along with routine maternal care while another group received only routine maternal care. Paired sample t-test was applied to assess mean changes at baseline and endline in the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scales-21 (DASS-21) and EuroQol-5 Dimension and 3 Level (EQ5D3L) scales. A linear mixed-effects model was used to assess the relationship between the DASS-21 score and EQ5D3L. Results1,215 participants were enrolled, including 605 in the intervention group and 610 in the control group. Measures of depression, anxiety, and stress were significantly decreased in both groups. Reduction in the levels of stress, as measured by changes in the stress score, were significantly greater in the intervention than in the control group (diff: 1.2, 95% CI: 0.1, 2.2). The EQ5D3L index improved significantly, 0.02 units more at endline in the intervention group than in the control group (diff: 0.02, 95% CI: 0.007, 0.03). The levels of mobility, usual activities, pain or discomfort, depression, and anxiety improved by 1.4%, 7.6%, 4.4%, 2.6%, and 0.4% more, respectively, in the intervention group compared to the control groups. These improvements were statistically significant. The DASS-21 score was negatively and significantly correlated with both the EQ-5D3L index and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score for the intervention group as well as for the usual care group, indicating that EQ5D3L improved when common mental disorders decreased. ConclusionAlthough the improvements were modest, a CBMHC service package was effective in reducing perinatal levels of stress among Bangladeshi rural women. Effectiveness of dietary intervention in geriatric patients receiving new complete dentures: A randomized controlled trial

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a tailored progressive dietary intervention against the standard care instructions on the nutritional status and nutrient intake in geriatric patients receiving new complete dentures. Settings and Design: Randomized controlled trial. Materials and Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted on completely edentulous patients seeking complete dentures. The participants were randomly allocated into two groups, and each group received a separate set of advice. The cognitive function was assessed using the mini–mental state examination (MMSE) form. The outcome measures were assessed at the baseline and 3 months after denture insertion. The Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) form was used to evaluate the nutritional status and the nutrient intake was calculated by a 3-day 24-h dietary recall and fed into the DietCal software. Statistical Analysis Used: The analysis was done using the independent sample t-test, paired sample t-test, and analysis of co-variance. The significance level was set at 0.05 for all tests. Results: In total, 68 participants completed the trial. There were no significant differences in food intake between the two groups at baseline. However, at 3-month follow-up, the intervention group displayed a statistically significant improvement in body mass index (BMI) compared to the control group. Although the nutrient intake such as protein, dietary fiber, total fat, calcium, carbohydrate, energy, iron, and Vitamin B12 was higher in the intervention group than in the control group, it was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Simple, tailored dietary intervention with prosthetic restoration of the edentulous patients significantly improved BMI and MNA scores.

The effect of laughter yoga’s on perceived stress and anxiety levels in nursing students: Randomized controlled trial

BackgroundNursing education is a dynamic process that involves theoretical and applied teaching. The intense stress and anxiety experienced by students in this process negatively affect the learning processes and increase the likelihood of making mistakes. Non-pharmacological techniques have been widely used in recent years in the management of this stress. Laughter yoga is one of the new methods that are starting to be used to reduce stress and anxiety levels. PurposeThis study was conducted to determine the effect of laughter yoga on perceived stress and anxiety levels in nursing students. MethodsThe research is a randomized controlled trial with pre-test-post-test control group. This study was conducted in January-June 2022 at the Faculty of Nursing of a university in eastern Türkiye. The population of the study consisted of all students studying in the first year of the nursing faculty. The sample consisted of 103 students determined by simple random sampling method. Students were assigned to the experimental and control groups by simple randomization method. Students in the experimental group were given laughter yoga for 2 sessions per week (every 3 days, eight sessions in total), and the control group did not have any intervention. We used the “Perceived Stress Scale for Nursing Students” and “Condition Anxiety Scale”. Statistical analysis of the data of the research was performed using the IBM SPSS 22 package program. Statistical methods used to evaluate data: t-test in independent groups was used to compare the mean scores of the experimental and control groups, and paired sample t-test was used for intra-group comparisons. ResultsAfter the laughter yoga intervention, the post-test measurements of the intervention group and the control group showed a significant difference, and there was a significant decrease in perceived stress (p<0.001) and anxiety scores (p<0.001) before and after the laughter yoga intervention compared to the control group. ConclusionsLaughter yoga was found to be effective in reducing the levels of perceived stress and anxiety students perceived. Therefore, laughter yoga can be used as one of the effective strategies in reducing students' nursing education stresses.

Vietnamese sixth graders' mathematical communication competency developed by teaching fraction topics using the 5E model

The 5E, an exploratory instructional model with growing popularity in current learner-centered educational practices, aims to develop learners' competencies. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching fractions using the 5E instructional model to develop students' mathematical communication competency (MCC). The researchers used mixed methods with data triangulation in a 38-student experiment group (EG) who learned with the 5E model and a 41-student control group (CG) using traditional learning approaches to clarify the impact of the 5E model on the development of MCC, academic performance and learning attitude among learners. The research instruments include a pre-test, post-test, classroom observation, and a student survey. Subsequently, the data collected were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using IBM SPSS Statistics (Version 26) predictive analytics software. The independent t-test on the post-test scores of the two groups revealed that the academic performance of EG after the intervention was significantly better than that of CG with the significance level α = 0.05 and degree of freedom df = 77, yielding the p-value (Sig. 2-tailed) = 0.001. Meanwhile, given the significance level α = 0.05, the p-value (Sig. 2-tailed) = 0.001 and the Pearson correlation coefficient (r = 0.943), the result of the paired sample t-test implies that the mean post-test score of students in EG was significantly higher than that of their pre-test. Furthermore, with an effect size of approximately 0.88, these figures suggest that applying the 5E model in the experimental process positively affected the academic performance of the students in EG and the development of MCC. A qualitative analysis using classroom observations and student surveys revealed that the 5E model helped students in the EG develop their MCC and an increasingly positive attitude toward learning. In addition to these findings, it also reveals some limitations of the study and proposes recommendations for future research.

Hands-On And Mobile App-Based Training Of Second Phase MBBS Students Regarding Blood Sample Collection For Routine Tests And Culture

Background Aseptic measures during blood sampling should be strictly enforced as identification of the true pathogen can act as life-saving measure in patients. Contamination during collection can produce erroneous results which can lead to unnecessary antibiotic usage. Thus, adequate training must be imparted so that the MBBS students can learn the correct technique and develop appropriate skills. This pre-post interventional study thus assessed the students’ and faculties’perception on venous blood sampling through hands on exercises on a simulated model and learning through digital module among MBBS students. Methodology The knowledge of the students was assessed through a questionnaire while practical skills through OSPE using a pre-validated checklist in the pre-intervention phase. The intervention comprised of students being trained in small batches regarding blood sample collection on a mannequin followed by biomedical waste disposal and spillage management. A digital intervention module for self-directed learning was shared with the students to reinforce their learning. This was followed by post interventional assessment of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Results Paired sample t-test showed a statistically significant improvement in the knowledge scores and OSPE skills in the post-intervention phase. About 91% students opined that they were well trained. All the faculty opined that this training was immensely useful to students for future practical applications. Conclusion The current study demonstrated effectiveness of intervention among the medical students under the new curriculum through hands-on and digital module-based training on accurate blood sampling procedure.

Developing advanced citation skills: A mixed-methods approach to corpus technology training for novice researchers

In contrast with most existing corpus technology (CT) studies which focus primarily on general vocabulary and grammar learning, this study investigates the effectiveness of CT in addressing challenges encountered by novice researchers in improving an advanced linguistic skill in EAP writing: using reporting verbs to express rhetorical functions in citations in literature reviews. An eight-week CT training programme featuring a practical framework of the rhetorical functions of citations and utilising the Parallel EAP Corpora was implemented for 50 Chinese postgraduate students who were L2 English users. A mixed-methods approach was adopted. Paired-samples t-tests demonstrated statistically significant improvement with medium effect sizes in the frequency and diversity of reporting verb usage in citations, as well as in the complexity of expressing rhetorical functions of citations. These findings were further corroborated by corpus-aided descriptive statistical and textual analyses. Questionnaire data and interviews further revealed students' positive evaluations towards the training informed by the Parallel EAP Corpora, which facilitated participants' learning in various ways. These findings hold substantial value for EAP pedagogy, indicating that the incorporation of pedagogically sound CT training can significantly improve novice researchers’ development of academic discourse through nuanced citation practices and advanced rhetorical strategies for composing literature reviews.

Implementing mobile text messaging on glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Uncontrolled blood glucose may lead to serious complications in patients with type two diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Patients may not have the support, motivation, or encouragement to adhere to the lifestyle changes necessary to control their T2DM. More than 75% of the primary care clinic's patients are diagnosed with T2DM, with most patients at the practice site having an average hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) level of 8.5%. The primary care clinic did not use text messaging to disseminate diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES) as outlined in Standard 4 of the American Diabetic Association's (ADA) clinical practice guideline. This evidence-based quality improvement project was conducted in a rural outpatient primary care clinic to determine whether implementing the ADA's 2022 National Standards for DSMES using text messaging would affect HbA1C levels among adult patients with T2DM. Patients were sent weekly text messages over a 12-week period. Text messages contained information promoting self-care, tips about healthy diet, exercise reminders, instructions about proper blood glucose monitoring, and reminders about medication adherence. A total of 160 patients were included. A paired-sample t -test showed a reduction in HbA1c levels after the intervention from baseline (M = 7.53, SD = 1.72) to postimplementation (M = 6.91, SD = 0.89), t (159) = 11.88, p = .001. Based on the results, implementing the ADA's National Standards for DSMES Standard 4 may affect HbA1c levels in this population.

The Effectiveness of Website-Assisted Learning Multimedia to Improve Mathematics Learning Achievement of Elementary School Students

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of web-assisted learning multimedia in improving Maths learning achievement among primary school students. This study used a quasi-experimental approach, using a pre-test and post-test design to measure students' learning achievement. Data collection was conducted using test instruments designed to assess learning outcomes in a structured and objective manner. The effectiveness of the web-based multimedia intervention was measured through the Normalised Gain (N-Gain) test, which evaluates the level of improvement in students' mathematics learning achievement. Differences in the dependent variable between the experimental and control groups were further analysed using Paired Samples t-test and Independent t-test. The results of the N-Gain test indicated that the experimental group showed significantly greater improvement in Mathematics learning achievement compared to the control group, with the experimental group achieving a medium category N-Gain score of 0.68, while the control group's score was categorised as low at 0.17. In addition, the Paired Samples t-test and Independent t-test showed significance levels below 0.05, further validating the substantial impact of the web-based multimedia on student achievement. These findings underscore the potential of web-based multimedia as an effective instructional tool to improve students' learning achievement, especially in the area of Mathematics. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge in educational technology and offers practical insights to enhance the learning process among young learners

Clicker Training in Minipigs to Reduce Stress during Blood Collection-An Example of Applied Refinement.

Pigs (and minipigs) are often restrained with a maxillary sling for blood collection. They mainly produce strong vocalisations and show resistance to the procedure, which subjectively appears to be stressful for the animals. The present study investigated whether minipigs can be trained to tolerate aversive stimuli and whether training can reduce stress during blood collection. Blood was taken from 12 Ellegaard minipigs with fixation; thereafter, the animals were trained for 3 weeks using clicker training. Then, blood was taken again, but without fixation. Before and after each blood sample, saliva samples were taken. The cortisol concentration was determined using ELISAs. Serum cortisol was not significantly different before and after training (paired-sample t-test, t (9) = 2.052, p = 0.07). However, salivary cortisol was significantly lower after training (ANOVA (analysis of variance), p-value < 0.001, F-value 6.181). In addition, trained minipigs showed a significantly lower heart rate after blood sampling (paired-sample t-test, t (11) = 4.678, p = 0.001) as well as significantly lower heart rate variability (t (11) = 3.704, p = 0.003) compared to before training. The minipigs could be trained to tolerate aversive stimuli. This contributed to stress reduction when taking blood samples.

Effects of Game-Based Learning on Improving Grammar Skills of Grade 9 Students

As the educational system transcends to 21st-century learning, various methods in the teaching-learning process are used to motivate students, one of which is game-based learning. This study explores the effects of game-based learning in improving the grammar skills of grade 9 students at Regional Science High School-III, Philippines. The results from the 1st quarter item analysis elicited the least learned competency, which allowed researchers to examine and determine the effects of game-based learning in improving the English grammar proficiency of the 143 grade 9 students, particularly in the use of modals. The study used a quasi-experimental research design, where the researchers adopted an assessment tool to determine the students’ English grammar proficiency level. The teachers assigned the experimental group with 8 game-based lessons and the control group who experienced the traditional lessons. The researchers used a paired sample t-test using the Jamovi software. The study found that there is a highly significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the respondents before and after the integration of game-based learning lessons, resulting in the rejection of the null hypothesis. Furthermore, for English teachers, the intervention is perceived as beneficial in improving the English grammar skills of the learners. The study presented the description of various game-based lessons and determined the respondents’ proficiency levels. It was found that students progressed from being developing proficient to proficient when game-based lessons were applied. The The Whole Brain Teaching Model: How Does This Model Contribute to Social Skills in Early Childhood?

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Whole Brain Teaching Model on enhancing students' social skills. Method: A quantitative approach with experimental research methods was used, employing a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of students from Darussalam Candi Kindergarten, Thoriqussalam Kindergarten, and Masyitoh Kindergarten in Sidoarjo Regency. Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test. Result: The findings indicate significant improvements in the average pre-test and post-test scores across various dimensions: peer relationship skills increased by 1.62, self-control (self-management skills) by 1.52, academic skills by 1.58, compliance skills by 1.82, and assertion skills by 1.53. Consequently, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Therefore, the Whole Brain Teaching model positively and comprehensively enhances various aspects of social skills in early childhood. Novelty: This study showcases a unique application of the Whole Brain Teaching (WBT) Model to enhance social skills in early childhood. By adopting a holistic approach that engages both the left and right brain, the study fosters cooperation, empathy, and communication, thereby offering a fresh perspective on early childhood education.

Improving multiplication counting skills of class IV students using PBL model and Jarimatica technique

This research is quantitative in nature using a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of class IVA as the controlling classes and the IVB as the experiment classes. The instrument used is an essay test that has been validated both validity and reliability. The analysis data was carried out with prerequisite test including tests for normality and homogeneity, as well as testing of hypotheses using the paired sample t-test, with help the IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results show that a significance the value (2-tailed) of 0.000 less than the alpha value of 0.05. Since 0.000 less than 0.05, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accept and the null hypothesis (Ho) is reject. Therefore, conclusion is that the problem-based learning model and the finger math technique significantly improve the counting multiplication skills of SD Inpres 7 Labuan Baru fourth graders. Analysis of the Effect of Hypertension Gymnastics on Lowering Blood Pressure in Hypertension Patients in the Tapunggaya Health Center Work Area

Introduction: WHO states that hypertension has attacked 22% of the world's population. While the number of hypertension in Southeast Sulawesi itself reached 26.53% or 314,454. One of the non-pharmacological treatments for hypertension is hypertension exercise and the DASH Diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) is a diet pattern aimed at lowering blood pressure by limiting salt intake, saturated fat, and increasing food intake that contains a lot of potassium, calcium, magnesium and high-fiber foods. This study is to analyze the Effect of Hypertension Exercise on Lowering Blood Pressure in Hypertension Patients in the Tapunggaya Health Center Work Area. Method: This type of research is quantitative with an experimental approach with a pretest-posttest design. The research sample was 284 people using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection tool used a blood measurement observation sheet. The statistical test used was the Paired Sample T-Test. Result: Obtained Results before hypertension exercise treatment on decreasing systolic blood pressure average 148 after treatment average blood pressure 134 mmHg. And the results before treatment diastolic blood pressure average 91 and 96 mmHg after treatment average mmHg. Based on the T-test obtained (P value = 0.00 with alpha &lt;0.05). It can be concluded that there is a significant effect between hypertension exercise on decreasing blood pressure. Conclusion: There is an effect of hypertension exercise therapy to lower blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. It is expected that hypertension sufferers can continue hypertension exercise to lower blood pressure.
