This study purpose is modifying the overset grid library of OpenFOAM to use an explicit source in the overset grid system. To this end, the functions of the OpenFOAM"s overset grid library that classify the computational volume cells was modified. Actuator Disk Model based on an explicit source was employed to confirm the functionality of the modified functions. The performance analysis at hover flight and the inflow analysis at forward flight were performed using the modified overset library. Since the hovering rotor performance results with single and overset meshes were almost similar, it was confirmed that the modified overset library well performed at hover flight. Through the forward flight rotor analysis, it was confirmed that the rotor inflow analysis results were similarly predicted in the single and overset meshes. Through previous analysis results, it was confirmed that the modified overset library worked properly in the problem of using explicit source.
