There is still no definite conclusion regarding the effect of Induction Chemotherapy (IC) combined with concurrent Chemoradiotherapy (CRT). Thus this study was aimed to assess outcomes of IC followed By CRT versus CRT alone in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (ESCC). This multicenter retrospective study performed on 105 patients who underwent CRT and 73 patients who underwent IC+CRT, between January 2016 and December 2018. The primary endpoints were OS (from the date of treatment to the date of death or 3- years follow-Up). The toxicities of CRT were graded according to the National Cancer Institute Common Toxicity Criteria (version 3.0). one-year (73.8% vs. 53.2%) and 2-year (53.4% vs. 38.5%) OS rate of the IC+CRT group was significantly higher than that of the CRT group (p < 0.05). No statistically significant differences were observed between the IC+CRT group and the CRT group (31.5% vs. 27.4%) in terms of the 3-year OS rate (p > 0.05). In multivariate logistic regression, age<60 (OR: 1.48; CI 95% 1.02-1.97), clinical staging II (OR: 1.36; CI 95% 1.11-1.88), and the addition of IC (OR: 1.66; CI 95% 1.07-2.19) were independent prognostic factors that affected survival positively. Our data demonstrated that a combination of IC and CRT might be a promising treatment strategy to further improve OS in ESCC patients.

Survival and toxicity outcomes of induction chemotherapy followed by concurrent chemoradiotherapy compared with concurrent chemoradiotherapy alone in inoperable stage III and IVA/B head and neck cancer

Concurrent chemoradiotherapy with or without induction chemotherapy is widely practiced in inoperable stage III and IVA/B head and neck cancer. The aim of this study was to investigate the survival and toxicity outcomes of induction chemotherapy combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy versus concurrent chemoradiotherapy alone in inoperable stage III and IVA/B head and neck cancer patients. From June 2018 to July 2020, 86 patients participated in a quasi-experimental study. Patients were purposively assigned to one of the two arms (arm A or arm B). Arm A got induction chemotherapy and concurrent chemo- radiotherapy, while arm B got only concurrent chemoradiotherapy. According to our findings, the 2-year progression-free survival rate in arm A was 48.8% vs 37.2 % in arm B (p-value=0.042), and the 2-year overall survival rate in arm A was 65.1 % versus 60.5 % in arm B (p-value= 0.416). There were no statistically significant variations in treatment-related toxicities between the two groups (p-value &gt; 0.05). In conclusion, inoperable stage III and IVA/B head and neck cancer patients who got induction chemotherapy plus concurrent chemotherapy had a better progression-free survival rate than those who received concur- rent chemoradiotherapy alone. The Outcome of Induction Chemotherapy, Followed by Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy and Surgery, in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer.

Background & Objective:Currently, neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, followed by surgery, is the standard treatment for locally advanced rectal cancer. The use of induction chemotherapy for this tumor is controversial. In this study, the benefits and side effects of induction chemotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer are evaluated.Methods:Twenty-nine patients with locally advanced rectal cancer in 2018-2019 were enrolled in this study. Initially, they underwent induction chemotherapy (oxaliplatin 130 mg/m2 every 3 weeks and capecitabine 1000 mg/m2 twice a day for 14 days every 3 weeks for 2 courses). Then, neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (radiotherapy 50.4 Gy/28 for 5 days a week concomitant with weekly oxaliplatin 50 mg/m2, as well as capecitabine 825 mg/m2/bid on the days of radiotherapy) was administered. After 4 weeks, computed tomography (CT) scan of thorax, pelvis, and abdomen with and without contrast was performed. Total mesorectal surgery was performed 6-8 weeks after the end of radiotherapy. Four courses of adjuvant chemotherapy were applied. Pathologic complete response (pCR), margin, sphincter preservation, and adverse effects were assessed.Results:In this study, pCR was present in 6 (20.7%) patients. R0 resection was done in 96.05%. Sphincter was preserved in 44.4% of lower rectal tumors. Two patients (6.9%) did not complete adjuvant treatment. Grade 3 adverse effects were documented in 13.7% of cases during induction chemotherapy and 17.2% of cases during neoadjuvant chemoradiation. Mortality was not reported. Conclusion:Induction chemotherapy, followed by neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and surgery, would be an effective and safe modality in locally advanced rectal cancer.

Induction Chemotherapy Plus Simultaneous Modulated Accelerated Radiation Therapy in Non-operative Hypopharyngeal and Supraglottic Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Long-Term Outcome of a Prospective Phase 2 Study.

Background: To evaluate the toxicities and long-term outcomes of induction chemotherapy (ICT) plus simultaneous modulated accelerated radiation therapy (SMART) in non-operative hypopharyngeal and supraglottic laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCCH/L).Materials and Methods: This was a prospective phase 2 study. Patients diagnosed with SCCH/L, aged from 18 to 75, staged from III to IVB in accordance with the AJCC 2010 criteria, and refusing surgery were eligible. The patients were treated with 2–3 cycles of docetaxel-cisplatin-based ICT and SMART combined with 2–3 cycles of cisplatin-based concurrent chemotherapy. The prescription dose to the primary tumor and metastatic nodes was 69 Gy in 30 fractions. Acute and late toxicities were assessed according to the established Radiation Therapy Oncology Group/European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (RTOG/EORTC) criteria, and long-term outcomes were analyzed.Results: Between February 2013 and June 2015, 55 newly diagnosed SCCH/L patients were enrolled. No grade 2 or worse acute xerostomia was noted. The incidences of grade 3 acute dermatitis, oral mucositis, and pharyngoesophagitis were 12.7, 3.6, and 12.7%, respectively. The median follow-up time was 48 months (range 5.5–74 months). The main late toxicity was hoarseness or sore throat, with an incidence of 32.7%. The 5-year functional larynx-preservation survival was 51.5%. The 3- and 5-year locoregional control and overall survival were 58.2, 51.5, 63.6, and 54.1%, respectively.Conclusions: The ICT plus SMART with a regimen of 69 Gy/30 F for the treatment of SCCH/L demonstrated acceptable severe toxicity, satisfactory long-term outcomes, and laryngeal function preservation.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Head and Neck in Vajira Hospital: The Outcomes in a Real-World Practice

Background: Squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHNC) is the fifth most common cancer in Thailand. Even though the multi-modality treatment including surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy is the standard practice, the survival outcomes are not impressive. Objective: The primary objectives were to determine the overall survival (OS) and 3-year OS of all patients with SCCHNC and as analysis according to the primary site of the primary tumor. The secondary objectives were progression-free survival (PFS), outcomes of induction chemotherapy (IC), prevalence of serious toxicities from treatments, and independent factors of survival. Materials and Methods: Retrospective analyses were conducted in patients who had SCCHNC confirmed by histology with complete details of staging and treatment, excluding nasopharyngeal carcinoma, carcinoma of the salivary glands, carcinoma of paranasal sinuses, and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Results: There were 216 eligible patients. OS of all participants was 24.1 months (IQR 14.3 to 50.1). At the median follow-up of 51.49 months, 3-year OS was 52.2% (95% CI 45 to 95). The patients with primary tumor site at the glottic larynx had the longest OS of 45 months (IQR 21.2 to 64.8). The patients with primary sites at the oral cavity (OS 20.1 months, IQR 13.4 to 45.8), oropharynx (OS 20.05 months, IQR 12.4 to 48.5), hypopharynx (OS 23.3 months, IQR 13.3 to 44.6), and supraglottic or transglottic larynx (OS 25.15, IQR 19.55 to 37.8) had nearly equally worst OS. Stratified by primary site of tumor, the investigators found that PFS of patients with glottic larynx was the longest (23.6 months, IQR 17.5 to 53.4). On the other hand, PFS of patients with supraglottic or transglottic laryngeal cancer, oral cavity cancer, oropharynx, hypopharynx was only 11.35 months (IQR 5.8 to 28.65), 12.5 months (IQR 6.2 to 31.3 months), 13.2 months (IQR 6.3 to 27.8), and 15.1 (IQR 8.9 to 29.3), respectively. The IC did not improve the patients’ outcomes. Thirty patients (22.4%) had serious (grade 3 to 4) adverse effects from definitive treatment, mostly from severe mucositis. The primary sites at the oral cavity and hypopharynx, T4 diseases, and failure to primary definitive treatment were the independent predictors of early deaths. Conclusion: Due to the very late stage at presentation, the OS of the participants was only two years. The primary sites at the oral cavity and hypopharynx, T4 diseases rather than the composite TNM staging, and failure to primary definitive treatment were the independent prognostic factors of short survival. Long-term outcomes of induction chemotherapy followed by chemoradiotherapy using volumetric-modulated arc therapy as an organ preservation approach in patients with stage IVA-B oropharyngeal or hypopharyngeal cancers.

The present study aimed to analyze treatment outcomes after induction chemotherapy followed by chemoradiotherapy (CRT) using volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT) in patients with stage IVA-B oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) or hypopharyngeal cancer (HPC), with long-term observation, including examination of larynx preservation. A total of 60 patients with stage IVA-B OPC or HPC, who underwent induction TPF chemotherapy (a combination regimen consisting of docetaxel, cisplatin, and 5-fluorouracil) followed by CRT using VMAT were analyzed. Overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), laryngoesophageal dysfunction-free survival (LEDFS), and locoregional control (LRC) were calculated and compared. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to determine statistical differences in OS and LEDFS. The median follow-up period at the time of evaluation was 61 months. Twenty-six (43%) patients had OPC and 34 (57%) had HPC. The 5-year OS, PFS, LEDFS, and LRC rates were 57%, 52%, 52%, and 68%, respectively. Response to TPF therapy was the only significant predictive factor of OS and LEDFS in multivariate analyses. Regarding long-term toxicities, grade ≥ 2 late toxicities accounted for 15%. No patients experienced grade ≥ 3 xerostomia, and 5% of all patients developed grade 3 dysphagia. With long-term observation, the OS, PFS, and LEDFS rates were relatively good, and the incidence of late toxicities was low. TPF followed by CRT using VMAT was feasible and more effective in those who responded to induction chemotherapy.

Nodal grouping in nasopharyngeal carcinoma: prognostic significance, N classification, and a marker for the identification of candidates for induction chemotherapy.

This study aimed to evaluate the value of nodal grouping (NG), defined as the presence of at least three contiguous lymph nodes (LNs) within one LN region, in staging and management of patients with non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). MR images were reviewed to evaluate LN variables, including NG. The Kaplan-Meier method and multivariate Cox regression models evaluated the association between the variables and survival. Harrell's concordance index (C-index) was used to measure the performance of prognostic models. The outcome of induction chemotherapy (IC) in patients with and without NG was compared using matched-pair analysis. In 1224 patients enrolled, NG was found to be an independent prognostic factor for overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS), and regional recurrence-free survival. The hazard ratio and 95% confidence interval (CI) of NG for OS (3.86, 2.09-7.12) were higher than those of stage N2 (3.54, 1.89-6.70). On upgrading patients with NG from stages N1 to N2, the revised N staging yielded a higher C-index compared to the American Joint Committee on Cancer system in predicting PFS (0.664 vs. 0.658, p = 0.022) and DMFS (0.699 vs. 0.690, p = 0.005). Results of the matched-pair analysis revealed that for patients with NG in stages N1 and N2, IC was correlated with improved OS (p = 0.022), PFS (p = 0.007), and DMFS (p = 0.021). NG is a significant prognostic factor for patients with NPC. Patients with NG may be upgraded from stages N1 to N2. NG was also a marker for identifying patients who would benefit from IC. • Nodal grouping, defined as the presence of at least three contiguous LNs within one LN region on MRI, was identified as a significant prognostic factor. • In patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, nodal grouping may influence lymph node staging. • Nodal grouping was a marker for identifying patients who may benefit from induction chemotherapy.

Use of apparent diffusion coefficient images to predict response to induction chemotherapy in sinonasal cancer.

The purpose of this study is to identify a set of radiomic features extracted from apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) maps, obtained using baseline diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI), which are able to predict the outcome of induction chemotherapy (IC) in sinonasal cancers. Such prediction could help the clinician defining the better treatment for a particular patient. Eighty-eight radiomic features were extracted from the ADC maps of 15 patients that underwent IC. A preliminary filtering of the features was made by assessing their stability to geometrical transformations of the region of interest (ROI). Mann-Whitney tests corrected for control of false discoveries were performed to identify the features that could discriminate between responsive and nonresponsive patients (4 and 11 respectively). Twenty features were found to be able to discriminate the two groups and they can potentially be used for prediction of response to treatment.

Clinical Efficacy of Decitabine-Based Chemotherapy Regimens in the Treatment of Newly Diagnosed Elderly Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

To investigate the safety and efficacy of decitabine combined with CAG regimen in the treat-ment of newly diagnosed elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia(AML). Fourty-nine patients with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (except M3) who were admitted to our hospital were selected. All the patients were older than 50 years old, and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation could not be performed for various reasons. Decitabine-based chemotherapy regimens were used during induction therapy including single decitabine therapy(DAC), decitabine combined with CAG regimen(DAC-CAG) and decitabine combined with HAAG regimen(DAC-HAAG). Most of patients continued to use the original treatment after complete remission, while others were given the standard "3+7" regimen chemotherapy. A total of 2-4 courses of treatment was conducted in the majority of patients. All of the 49 patients completed the induction therapy, in which 26 cases achieved complete remission(CR), 7 cases achieved partial remission(PR) and no response(NR) existed in 16 cases. The complete remission and the overall response rate(ORR) were 53% and 67% respectively. The overall response rate of DAC group, DAC-CAG group and DAC-HAAG group were 17%, 77% and 63% respectively. 14 patients were infected and 1 patients died of pulmonary infection during the induction therapy. The median number of suspended red blood cells and platelet infused were 9 units and 69 units respectively. Neutrophil recovery time was 15.1 days while the platelet recovery time was 20.1 days during the induction therapy. The mean follow-up time was 21 months. Overall survival(OS) was 75% at 6 months, 30% at 1 year, and 26% at 2 year, while disease-free survival(DFS) was 83% at 3 months, 54% at 1 year, and 47% at 2 year. The induction therapy could reach CR that was an independent prognostic factor, however, the initial white blood cell count, platelet count, age, chemotherapy regimen, prognostic stratification and whether complical by pnenmonia during chemotherapy were not independent prognostic factors. The induction efficacy of decitabine combined with chemotherapy is superior to that of decitabine alone. The outcome of induction chemotherapy is an independent prognostic factor, however, the high white blood cell count, poor karyotype, complications and AML with myelodysplasia-related changes do not affect long-term survival. DAC-CAG regimen is effective and have relatively few adverse reactions in AML. It is suitable for the patients who are ineligible for conventional chemotherapy.

Effect of Pre-treatment Nutritional Status, Folate and Vitamin B12 Levels on Induction Chemotherapy in Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

To evaluate pre-treatment undernutrition, and folate and B12 deficiency in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and their correlation with complications and outcome of induction chemotherapy. Observational study. Tertiary care teaching hospital in Northern India. 50 children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Children were assessed for nutritional status (Weight for age Z-score, serum albumin, folate and B12) at presentation, and were followed-up during induction for bone marrow response, counts and outcome. Folate and B12 were repeated twice at monthly intervals after induction. Univariate and multivariate analyses were done to determine the association of nutritional parameters with the outcome variables. Baseline undernutrition was observed in 66%, hypo-albuminemia in 32.6%, folate deficiency in 41.3% and B12 deficiency in 36.9% of included children. Significant decline in folate levels was noted on serial assays during chemotherapy (P=0.001). Folate deficient children had higher risk for delayed marrow recovery and counts on day 14 (P=0.007 and P=0.001). Hypoalbuminemia (P=0.04), B12 deficiency (P=0.001) and folate (P=0.03) deficiency were associated with toxic deaths during induction. Baseline nutritional deficiencies negatively influence the outcome and occurrence of complications during induction chemotherapy in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Long-term outcomes of induction chemotherapy and neoadjuvant stereotactic body radiotherapy for borderline resectable and locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma.

360 Background: Limited data is available for neoadjuvant treatment of borderline resectable (BRPC) and locally advanced (LAPC) pancreatic cancer. We update our institutional outcomes with a neoadjuvant chemotherapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) approach. Methods: We performed an IRB-approved analysis of all BRPC and LAPC patients treated with our departmental treatment protocol. After staging, medically fit patients underwent chemotherapy for 2-3 months, with regimen at the discretion of the treating medical oncologist (FOLFIRINOX, GTX, gem/abraxane, or gemcitabine alone). Patients then received SBRT delivered in 5 consecutive daily fractions with median radiation doses of 30 Gy to tumor and 40 Gy dose painted to tumor-vessel interfaces. This was followed by restaging imaging for possible resection. Overall survival (OS), event free survival (EFS), and locoregional control (LRC) rates were estimated and compared by Kaplan-Meier and log-rank methods. Results: We identified 159 patients, 110 BRPC and 49 LAPC, with 14.0 months median overall follow-up. The resection and margin negative (R0) rate for BRPC patients who completed neoadjuvant therapy was 50.9% and 96.4%, respectively. Estimated median OS was 14.4 months for BRPC patients and 11.3 months for LAPC patients (p=0.402). Median OS was 34.2 months for surgically resected patients vs 14.0 months for unresected patients (p&lt;0.001). Five of 21 (23.8%) LAPC patients receiving FOLFIRINOX chemotherapy underwent R0 resection. In LAPC, FOLFIRINOX recipients underwent R0 resection more often than other chemotherapy recipients (5 of 21 vs. 0 of 28, p=0.011). There was a trend for improved survival in those resected LAPC patients (p=0.09). For those not undergoing resection, one year LRC was 78.4%. Grade ≥3 potentially radiation related toxicity rate was 6.9%. Conclusions: This data underscores the feasibility, safety, and effectiveness of neoadjuvant SBRT and chemotherapy for BRPC and LAPC. Compared with other chemotherapies, FOLFIRINOX induced greater tumor response in LAPC, permitting for R0 resection in a subset of LAPC patients and trend towards improved OS.

Definitive Radiotherapy Following Induction Chemotherapy for Hypopharyngeal Cancer: Selecting Candidates for Organ-Preserving Treatment Based on the Response to Induction Chemotherapy.

The outcomes of induction chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy for hypopharyngeal carcinoma were analyzed to determine whether response to induction chemotherapy could be a useful parameter for selecting candidates for organ-preserving therapy.Forty-three patients with hypopharyngeal carcinoma were treated with definitive radiotherapy with or without concurrent chemotherapy following induction chemotherapy. The predominant induction chemotherapy regimens involved cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil with or without docetaxel. The patients that responded to the induction chemotherapy received definitive organ-preserving treatment. Patients who did not respond to induction chemotherapy were considered for surgery, but only those patients who underwent definitive radiotherapy were analyzed in this study. Conventional radiotherapy was administered in all patients. The associations between clinical parameters including age, sex, performance status (PS), tumor site, T-category, N-category, stage, the regimen of induction chemotherapy, the response to induction chemotherapy, the presence/absence of concurrent chemotherapy, overall survival (OS), and local control (LC) were analyzed.Among the surviving patients, the follow-up period ranged from 10-145 months (median: 46 months). The 3-year OS and LC rates for all 43 patients were 61% and 70%, respectively. The 3-year OS and LC rates of the responders were 73% and 81%, respectively, whereas those of the non-responders were 29% and 40%, respectively. In multivariate analysis, only PS was correlated with overall survival (p=0.03). The complication rates were acceptable in all groups.Responders to induction chemotherapy appear to be good candidates for definitive organ-preserving treatment. Chemoselection appears to aid treatment selection in patients with hypopharyngeal carcinoma.

Role of folate status and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase genotype on the toxicity and outcome of induction chemotherapy in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia

The effect of serum folate levels and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) genotype on complications and outcome of induction chemotherapy in 150 children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) was studied. Folate deficiency in 26% at baseline was more common in children with MTHFR 677 mutations. Folate deficient children had a higher incidence of neutropenia (p = 0.03), thrombocytopenia (p = 0.02) and febrile neutropenia (p = 0.01) and higher transfusion requirement during induction compared to folate sufficient children. Sepsis related induction deaths were more frequent in folate deficient children (p = 0.02) during induction. Children with 677 and 1298 mutations had a higher incidence of cytopenias (p = 0.01) and mucositis (p = 0.007), the risks of which increased with concomitant folate deficiency. A significant fall in folate levels was observed post-induction (p = 0.02), most markedly in mutant 677 genotypes. Multivariate analysis revealed associations of baseline folate deficiency with low counts at day 14 (p = 0.001) and MTHFR 1298 mutations with mucositis (p = 0.02).

Outcomes of induction chemotherapy followed by chemoradiation using intensity-modulated radiation therapy for esophageal adenocarcinoma

This study looks at toxicity and survival data when chemoradiation (CRT) is delivered using intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) after induction chemotherapy. Forty-one patients with esophageal adenocarcinoma treated with IMRT from March 2007 to May 2009 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center were analyzed. All patients received induction chemotherapy prior to CRT. Thirty-nine percent (n = 16) of patients underwent surgical resection less than 4 months after completing CRT. Patients were predominantly male (78%), with a median age of 68 years (range 32-85 years). The majority of acute treatment-related toxicity was hematologic or gastrointestinal, with 17% of patients having grade 3+ hematologic toxicity and 12% of patients having grade 3+ gastrointestinal toxicity. Only two patients developed grade 2-3 pneumonitis (5%) and 5 patients experienced post-operative pulmonary complications (29%). Eight patients (20%) required a treatment break. With a median follow up of 41 months for surviving patients, 2-year overall survival was 61%, and the cumulative incidences of local failure (LF) and distant metastases were 40% and 51%, respectively. This rate of LF was reduced to 13% in patients who underwent surgical resection. Surgery and younger age were significant predictors of decreased time to LF on univariate analysis. Induction chemotherapy followed by CRT using IMRT in the treatment of esophageal cancer is well tolerated and is not associated with an elevated risk of postoperative pulmonary complications. The use of IMRT may allow for integration of more intensified systemic therapy or radiation dose escalation for esophageal adenocarcinoma, ultimately improving outcomes for patients with this aggressive disease.

Outcomes of induction chemotherapy followed by concurrent chemoradiation for nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Current standard therapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is concurrent chemoradiation based on randomized data. However, limited randomized data exist to support the addition of induction chemotherapy (ICT). 58 Patients with NPC were treated from 1990 to 2010. All patients received platinum-based ICT. All 58 patients were treated with chemoradiation, 57 in a week-on/week-off (WOWO) fashion. Concurrent chemotherapy included hydroxyurea/5-fluorouracil for all patients. Median radiation dose was 70 Gy. No patient received adjuvant chemotherapy. AJCC 2009 stage was II=13, III=21, IVa=13, and IVb=11. Median follow-up for surviving patients was 66 months. Response to ICT was complete response (CR) 17% and partial response (PR) 64%. The CR rate after chemoradiation was 96%. Five-year actuarial freedom from local failure (FFLF), freedom from distant failure (FFDF), cause-specific survival (CSS), and overall survival (OS) was 98%, 90%, 90%, and 76%, respectively. Analysis of pediatric patients (n=9) demonstrated 5-year actuarial FFLF, FFDF, CSS, and OS of 100%, 88%, 80%, and 80%, respectively. ICT followed by concurrent chemoradiation demonstrates excellent FFLF, FFDF, CSS, and OS with tolerable toxicity. Induction chemotherapy followed by concurrent chemoradiation for patients with NPC should be explored further in a randomized setting.
