Nursing students experienced academic emotions during education - a longitudinal descriptive study from a nursing bachelor’s program in Sweden

AimTo explore nursing students’ academic emotions during ongoing learning activities focusing on perceived challenge and competence.BackgroundEmotions plays an important part in learning. Positive emotions can be beneficial while negative emotions can be detrimental to educational outcomes. Optimal experiences are situations when learners simultaneously experience sufficient challenge and competence. Since various learning activities are performed in different learning environments during the nursing program, it is of interest to investigate students’ ongoing emotions in the occurring contexts.DesignA longitudinal descriptive study.MethodsBy using the Contextual Activity Sampling System, data was collected every third week on a three-year nursing program. From August 2015 to January 2020, a total of 2, 947 questionnaires were answered by 158 students. Experiences of positive and negative academic emotions were calculated for the entire program. Optimal experience was calculated for courses where high discrepancy between positive and negative experiences were identified.ResultsStudents self-reported academic emotions varied over time and in relation to learning activities. High ratings of negative emotions were reported during clinical practice in all semesters except the final. Students’ positive academic emotions and optimal experience in clinical practice increased after having deepened their academic knowledge.ConclusionNursing students had an increased positive experience when they themselves practice a learning activity and it appeared that they benefit from academic preparation prior to entering internship. Nursing students need an academic competence to develop their skills during training in the clinical reality. Increased collaboration between academia and clinic would be beneficial for students’ clinical development.

Practicality of Science E-Module with the Argument-Driven Inquiry Model to Improve the 21st Century Abilities Students

The development of an E-module based on Argument-Driven Inquiry assisted by 3D Pageflip Professional has been carried out to improve students' 21st century abilities which include generic science abilities, critical thinking and scientific argumentation. This development aims to describe the validation of e-module teaching materials that are suitable for use in learning activities. The development model design used is 4D which consists of definition, design, development and dissemination stages. This research is limited only to the development stage. Practicality testing activities have been carried out through distributing teacher and student response questionnaires, and the implementation of learning carried out during ongoing learning activities by observers. The results show that the Argument-Driven Iberad based electronic module is in the very practical category and can be used in science learning activities in schools.

Penerapaan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Teams Games Tournament untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar dan Aktivitas Siswa

Low student learning outcomes and activities are a manifestation of various problems that arise from ongoing learning activities. Learning outcomes in Mathematics learning are marked by a class average value of 78.18. The data shows that the value of 15 out of 18 (83.33%) has not been completed and 16.67% of students have reached KKM. The method used still uses lectures, a conservative paradigm, where the teacher imparts knowledge to students passively where learning is more centered on the teacher. Students tend to be passive, low absorption, boredom, lack of student enthusiasm, and distraction in class. Based on these problems, the authors made an effort to increase student learning outcomes and activities in mathematics class VIII-B Marsudi Siwi Malang Catholic Middle School for the 2022/2023 academic year as many as 18 students using the Cooperative method of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), the researcher acts as an educator and the subject educator as an observer. Based on the results of the analysis of the research, it can be seen that with the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method, there is an increase in learning outcomes in class VIII-B students of Marsudisiwi Catholic Middle School Malang for the 2022/2023 academic year. The completeness of student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 66.7%, and in the second cycle was 94.4%. This increase is the implication of increasing student learning activities. Educators feel satisfied and proud of the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method, and students feel very happy and enthusiastic in participating in learning. Researchers suggest that teachers should always try to improve student learning outcomes in each process of learning mathematics using innovative learning models, one of which is the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model, and students are expected to pay more attention to lessons and actively participate in learning mathematics in class and be able to improve learning outcomes.

Metode Asessment Guru PAI Pada Perkembangan Karakter Moral Keagamaan Peserta Didik Di SMP Muhammadiyah Kupang

This study aims to find out 1) How is the assessment method carried out by PAI teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah Kupang whether it is in accordance with the assessment objectives set or not. 2.) How can the formation of religious moral character that should be a teacher but handed over to parents be able to develop optimally or not. This research uses a type of descriptive qualitative research with observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation while the data analysis technique that the author uses is data reduction, data presentation or display and data conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the assessment method used by Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah Kupang is dominantly carried out according to formative principles that are integrated with students in ongoing learning activities. And the development of the religious moral character of students at Kupang Muhammadiyah Middle School by instilling and strengthening the values ​​of the moral character of the Islamic religion by getting used to Duhah prayers and midday prayers and increasing religious activities and programs such as Islamic boarding schools and thafiz Qur'an.

Using Google Meet in History Learning to Support Distance Learning in the Digital Age

The purpose of this article is to explain the effectiveness of using Google Meet in history learning as a support for distance learning (PJJ) in the digital era. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with experimental design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 32 students and 1 teacher. The technique of collecting data is through a questionnaire in the form of pre-test and post-test statements with a Likert scale of 5 to assess the usefulness of google meet. Data analysis used the paired sample t-test to determine whether or not there was an influence between the two variables assisted by the SPSS Version 26 program. The results showed that the use of google meet in history learning during the pandemic was declared effective so that the ongoing learning activities ran optimally, although there are many obstacles, can be overcome with coordination between the actors involved. The use of google meet can have implications for history learning which will be more meaningful during the pandemic because it is equipped with video conferencing so that it becomes a virtual class.

Research conducted at MAN 2 Karawang, this study uses a qualitative approach. Discussed the management of science laboratory facilities and infrastructure at MAN 2 Karawang. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of facilities and infrastructure at MAN 2 Karawang. Where the management of educational facilities and infrastructure is the procurement and utilization to support optimal learning activities. And infrastructure is an important part of educational institutions and is one of the 8 national education standards. Based on the results of research in the management of laboratory facilities and infrastructure at MAN 2 Karawang has carried out the planning, maintenance and removal processes. From one of these processes, the maintenance process is the most important thing in the management of educational facilities and infrastructure. Because, the process can affect the ongoing learning activities / student practicum.

AbstractThis thesis aims to: 1) determine the application of the PAI teacher assessment at SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo; 2)knowing the development of religious moral character of class VIII A students at SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo; 3) determine the effect of the PAI teacher assessment method on the development of religious moral character of class VIII A students at SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo.This thesis uses a qualitative research approach where the type of research is descriptive. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Then, the data sources were obtained from primary data sources and secondary data (direct interviews with research subjects, as well as documentation in the form of photos, data, notes, and so on). The analysis technique used is qualitative analysis which consists of three components of analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and final conclusions.The results of the study show that: 1) The application of the PAI teacher assessment method at SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo is carried out in accordance with formative principles that are integrated with ongoing learning activities and involve students in each activity. 2) The development of religious moral character at SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo was adopted from the surrounding community and developed by the school. 3) The influence of the PAI teacher assessment method on the development of religious moral character, namely, students become more active in carrying out worship obligations.The implications of the assessment method applied at SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo in the field of Islamic religious education can be used as an alternative in shaping the morals of students through good habits that are carried out repeatedly. Such as the habit of praying, zakat, qurban, and the habit of telling the truth, being polite, and so on. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dimana jenis penelitiannya bersifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian, sumber data diperoleh dari sumber data primer dan data seknder (wawancara langsung dengan subjek penelitian, serta dokumentasi berupa foto, data-data, catatan, dan lain sebagainya). Adapun teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif yang terdiri dari tiga komponen analisis, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan akhir.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Penerapan metode assessment Guru PAI SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo dilaksanakan sesuai dengan prinsip formatif yang terintegrasi dengan kegiatan pembelajaran yang berlangsung dan melibatkan peserta didik di setiap kegiatannya. 2) Pengembangan karakter moral keagamaan di SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo diadopsi dari lingkungan masyarakat sekitar dan dikembangkan oleh pihak sekolah. 3) Pengaruh metode assesment Guru PAI terhadap pengembangan karaktermoral keagamaan yaitu, peserta didik menjadi lebih giat melaksanakan kewajiban beribadah.Implikasi metode assesment yang diterapkan di SMPN 2 Mojotengah Wonosobo dalam bidang pendidikan agama Islam ini bisa digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam membentuk akhlak peserta didik melalui kebiasaan-kebiasaan baik yang dilaksanakan secara berulang. Seperti pembiasaan sholat, zakat, qurban, serta pembiasaan berkata jujur, sopan, dan lain sebagainya. Implementasi Multimedia CD Interaktif Untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas Dan Hasil Belajar Tema 6 Kelas II SDN Merjosari 04 Kota Malang

The aims of this research are a) To increase student learning activities in learning theme 6 caring for animals and plants, sub theme 6 learning 4 class 2 SDN Merjosari 04 Malang City and b) To improve student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were all 2nd grade students totaling 28 children. Teaching media that can support the ongoing learning activities are interactive multimedia CD. This research is classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of one meeting. The cycle consists of four stages of research, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The implementation of this research is successful if at least 75% of students get a score of 70. The results of the implementation of this research are: (1) The average score of student learning activities in the first cycle is 6.0 in the medium category, and the average score student activity in the second cycle is 10.9 with a high category. while (2) the mastery of student learning outcomes classically in the implementation of the first cycle, namely 78.57% of students who scored above 70 and in the implementation of the second cycle 96.43% of students scored above 70.

Multimedia Sebagai Metode Variatif dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Akidah Akhlak di Masa Pandemi

Akidah Akhlak competence is one of the sub-subjects of Islamic religious education which in the learning process can be done through guidance, teaching, training and experience. The emphasis on learning the moral aqidah is not just on mastering knowledge, but most importantly how to raise awareness of students having a strong faith and noble character which is manifested in daily behavior. The purpose of learning the Akidah Akhlak subject is to instill and increase students’ faith and increase awareness for noble character. The formulation of the problem in this study is: Is there an increase in learning motivation after the application of varied methods with multi-media in learning akidah Akhlak. The approach used in the research is a quantitative approach, with the type of action research. Researchers are directly involved in the research from the beginning to the end of the research. Researchears try to see, observe, feel, appreciate, reflect and evaluate the ongoing learning activities. The stages of stages of action research implementation consist of planning (planning), implementation (acting), observation (observing), and reflection (reflecting). To get accurate research results, the data that has been collected is analyzed statistically by using the mean or average formula. Referring to the action hypothesisi proposed in this classroom action research, it can be concluded that: there is an increase in learning motivation in the Akidah Akhlak fiel of study after the application of varied methods with multi-media on akidah Akhlak learning in students at MTsN 7 Kediri.

PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH TERHADAP TINGKAT KREATIVITAS GURU SD NEGERI 060800 KECAMATAN MEDAN AREA T.A. 2020 / 2021

Teacher learning creativity is often a topic of discussion by various parties, because it is considered to determine the achievement of educational outcomes. The teacher is the spearhead of the ongoing learning activities. Based on the results of observations in March 2021 that have been carried out by researchers at SD Negeri 060800, Medan Area District, it is very clear that teacher creativity still needs to be improved. Judging from the number of existing class teachers, namely 15 classroom teachers, there are only about 13% of classroom teachers who have high creativity and have won the competition for outstanding and creative teachers at the Medan Area District level, while 87% of the number of classroom teachers are still lacking and need to be improved. his creativity. Low teacher learning creativity, among others, is manifested through actions of lack of care, just carrying out tasks, orientation to low achievement, low productivity, less efficient and effective, lack of discipline, boring students and so on.Factors that influence teacher creativity include: internal factors (inheritance and psychological), namely, intelligence which includes verbal ability, fluent thinking, knowledge, problem formulation, strategy formulation, mental representation, decision-making skills and balance and general intellectual integration, and cognitive or intellectual style, which includes slack and convertible attachment, creating one's own rules, doing things one's own way and preferring less structured problems. The dimensions of personality and motivation include traits such as flexibility, drive for achievement and recognition of tenacity in facing obstacles and taking moderate risks. External factors (social and cultural environment), namely, teacher educational background, teacher trainings and teacher organizations, teacher teaching experience, and teacher welfare factors.

Analysis of Online Learning From the Aspect of Learning Interest of Class V Elementary School

This study aims to determine online learning in terms of the learning interest aspect of fifth graders at SDN Sawocangkring. The study used the Narrative qualitative method with three research subjects selected by the researcher, while the subject selection was based on the uniqueness of the subject who was deemed able to answer the existing problems. The research instrument consisted of interviews, observation and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. And data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research that has been done, the application of online learning so far is still not optimal, seen from the facilities and infrastructure as well as the monotonous learning process. The three subjects have low interest in learning. This is because when following the learning process students pay less attention to ongoing learning activities. The conclusion of this study is that of the three subjects studied, students have low interest in learning, it is said to be low if students do not meet one of the indicators of interest in learning. Namely students pay less attention when learning takes place.

Pelatihan Metode Pembelajaran MASAK (Mudah, Asyik, Santai, Aktif, Kreatif terhadap Penguasaan Kosakata dan Mendengarkan Bahasa Inggris Guru PAUD RA Bintang Sembilan Cipayung Depok

<p>Learning is the process of interaction between students between students and educators by involving parents and learning resources in the atmosphere of learning and playing in PAUD units or programs. Learning activities in early childhood are essentially concrete curriculum development in the form of a set of plans that contain a number of learning experiences through play given to early childhood based on the potential and developmental tasks that must be mastered in order to achieve the competencies that must be possessed by children. Learning methods that can be used in teaching English in kindergarten are MASAK learning methods (Easy, Fun, Casual, Active, Creative). It aims to foster children's courage in expression in English so that children are interested in ongoing learning activities. The MASAK learning model invites children to directly interact with their friends, take action, and is a fun activity, so that children will easily remember vocab or vocabulary. The role of a teacher in providing learning media that is interesting and easy for children to understand is needed. Explicitly, this activity aims to explain the procedures and benefits of applying the MASAK learning method in vocabulary learning and English speaking skills to the teachers PAUD RA Bintang Sembilan Cipayung, Depok. From the results of the implementation of community service activities, several conclusions are given as follows: (1) The COOK Method (Easy, Fun, Casual, Active, Creative) is one of the right methods to be used in teaching English, especially vocabulary and listening to children with fun and easy way. (2) Teachers can utilize the use of the COOK method in conveying learning about mastering English vocabulary. (3) Schools can utilize the COOK method to support learning so as to improve the quality of learning and produce quality learning.</p>

COVID-19: The Effect of Lockdown on Children’s Remote Learning Experience – Parents’ Perspective

Aims: This online survey was done to explore parents’ perspectives on education of their children affected by the stay-at-home measures still ongoing in the country.
 Study Design: Cross-sectional study design.
 Place and Duration of Study: Sample: All six Geopolitical Zones in Nigeria, from May 9 to June 8, 2020 among parents residing in Nigeria.
 Methodology: A non-probability sampling technique was used in the recruitment of participants. The study questionnaire on a Google Doc Form was administered through WhatsApp instant messaging. Chi-square was used to test for differences, and statistical significance was set at p-value less than 0.05.
 Results: The 260 respondents who participated in the survey, had a median age of 38 years (IQR=9); including 40.4% (105) males, and 64.2% (167) with tertiary education, 77.7% (202) possess a computer device, 93.2% (234) have internet services and 55.0% (143) spend between N5,000 – N9,999 (13.1 – 26.2 USD) per month for internet services. Only 35.4% (92) had their children participate in the ongoing radio/TV learning sessions, 46.1% (120) educate their children with their computer devices at home, however, 40.0% (104) preferred an online based method of homeschooling. Overall, 70.0% (182) were dissatisfied with the level of homeschooling their children received. Respondents with higher education and income level were significantly more likely to possess a computer device, have internet access at home and prefer online classes when compared to low-income earning parents with secondary education and below.
 Conclusion: There is a considerable lack of ongoing learning activities among children in Nigerian homes during the COVID-19 lockdown. Strategic context-specific blended learning approaches (including the provision of infrastructure for remote teaching and learning) are needed to mitigate the negative effect of school closures on the education of children.

Impact of COVID-19 on Neurosurgical Training in Southeast Asia

ObjectiveNeurosurgery departments worldwide have been forced to restructure their training programs because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this study, we describe the impact of COVID-19 on neurosurgical training in Southeast Asia.MethodsWe conducted an online survey among neurosurgery residents in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand from May 22 to 31, 2020 using Google Forms. The 33-item questionnaire collected data on elective and emergency neurosurgical operations, ongoing learning activities, and health worker safety.ResultsA total of 298 of 470 neurosurgery residents completed the survey, equivalent to a 63% response rate. The decrease in elective neurosurgical operations in Indonesia and in the Philippines (median, 100% for both) was significantly greater compared with other countries (P < 0.001). For emergency operations, trainees in Indonesia and Malaysia had a significantly greater reduction in their caseload (median, 80% and 70%, respectively) compared with trainees in Singapore and Thailand (median, 20% and 50%, respectively; P < 0.001). Neurosurgery residents were most concerned about the decrease in their hands-on surgical experience, uncertainty in their career advancement, and occupational safety in the workplace. Most of the residents (n = 221, 74%) believed that the COVID-19 crisis will have a negative impact on their neurosurgical training overall.ConclusionsAn effective national strategy to control COVID-19 is crucial to sustain neurosurgical training and to provide essential neurosurgical services. Training programs in Southeast Asia should consider developing online learning modules and setting up simulation laboratories to allow trainees to systematically acquire knowledge and develop practical skills during these challenging times.

Effectiveness of Information Service with Problem Based Learning Model to Improve Self Control of Students in Junior High School.

Students in learning activities show low self-control behaviors, namely during ongoing learning activities students often carry out activities that are not related to the learning process. Efforts can be made to improve students' self control by carrying out information services with problem based learning model . The research methodology used is quantitative, this type of research is Quasi Experiment with the design of The Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study were class VIII 3 students as an experimental group and class VIII 8 students as a control group at SMP Negeri 13 Padang. The research instrument used was a Likert model scale. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Independent Sample test. The results showed that the information service with problem based learning model was effective to improve students' self control.

Development of Learning Media "Solar System" Multiplayer Virtual Reality Using Samsung Gear VR

The lack of student participation in the learning process results in the decrease of their learning interest and comprehension. In addition, in the interactive learning process, two-way communication takes place between instructors and learners. Teachers deliver learning material and learners provide responses to the learning material they receive. This can be realized by using a Multiplayer Virtual Reality to display the visualization of learning material. Virtual reality can be used to increase the effectiveness of delivering material with an immersive environment so students can develop intuition to perceive the abstract knowledge that is difficult for teachers to describe. The multiplayer system allows teacher-student interaction, which supports the ongoing learning activities in the virtual world. The test results show the mechanism of object interaction in a virtual environment is easy to use with 50% of respondents agreeing and 50% of respondents saying the interaction feels natural. Furthermore, solar system multiplayer virtual reality can be an interesting learning media with 50% of respondents strongly agree and this learning media is effective to be used in the delivery of solar and eclipse material in sixth-grade of elementary school with 67% of respondents expressing their agreement strongly.

Ethics and Learning Health Care: The Essential roles of engagement, transparency, and accountability.

Extraordinary innovation in medicine promises vast improvements to the health of individuals and communities. Yet it is a lost opportunity that data from most medical care is never aggregated or analyzed. Even when data are aggregated and analyzed, most of this “learning” is never translated into improved practice. The Learning Health Care System (LHCS) is a response to both of these challenges. Ethically, the LHCS relies on a foundational understanding between patients and their health systems in which patients endorse the use of their data for ongoing learning, and health systems commit to improving care based on what is learned. We have outlined elsewhere a set of seven ethical obligations for Learning Health Care, including the obligation to respect the rights and dignity of patients. In this paper, we suggest that three specific respect‐promoting actions are morally required in a LHCS: engagement with patients about ongoing learning activities, transparency with patients about ongoing learning activities, and accountability in implementing what is learned.

Promoting reflection by using contextual activity sampling: a study on students’ interprofessional learning

Students’ engagement and reflection on learning activities are important during interprofessional clinical practice. The contextual activity sampling system (CASS) is a methodology designed for collecting data on experiences of ongoing activities by frequent distribution of questionnaires via mobile phones. The aim of this study was to investigate if the use of the CASS methodology affected students’ experiences of their learning activities, readiness for interprofessional learning, academic emotions and experiences of interprofessional team collaboration. Student teams, consisting of 33 students in total from four different healthcare programs, were randomized into an intervention group that used CASS or into a control group that did not use CASS. Both quantitative (questionnaires) and qualitative (interviews) data were collected. The results showed that students in the intervention group rated teamwork and collaboration significantly higher after than before the course, which was not the case in the control group. On the other hand, the control group reported experiencing more stress than the intervention group. The qualitative data showed that CASS seemed to support reflection and also have a positive impact on students’ experiences of ongoing learning activities and interprofessional collaboration. In conclusion, the CASS methodology provides support for students in their understanding of interprofessional teamwork.

The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four phases, namely planning, implementation actions (acting), observation, and reflection. The subject were students in grade VIII D SMP Negeri 22 Surakarta academic year 2010/2011. The sources of data derived from teacher and student information, places and events of the ongoing learning activities, and documentation. The techniques and data collection tool used observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data was analysized techniques with descriptive analysis techniques. The data validation used triangulation techniques.The result proved that the implementation of the classroom action research through the application of &lt;em&gt;Think talk write &lt;/em&gt;learning strategy write could be improving the motivation of learning biology in grade VIII D SMP Negeri 22 Surakarta.. Based on observations, questionnaires and interviews. The percentage of each indicator is based on students motivation observation sheets, precycle 39,05%, first cycle 69,52% and second cycle 89,52%. Based on these results, it could be concluced that the implementation of &lt;em&gt;Think talk write &lt;/em&gt;learning strategy was increasing the students motivation to learning Biology in grade VIII D SMP Negeri 22 Surakarta academic year 2010/2011.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="0jTULISANKATAKUNCIKEYWORDS"&gt;Key Words: learning strategy Think Talk Write, learn motivation on biology&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
