Principles and tools for ensuring integrated sustainable development of the industrial complex of the Russian Federation

The importance of studying the problems related to the sustainable development and functioning of the Russian industrial complex comes from a large number of reasons, not only economic, but also political, social, environmental and others. They, in turn, are based on new management paradigms associated with networking and increasing the adaptability of macro and microsystems necessary to adapt to new conditions and continuously changing factors of the external and internal environment, which include innovative technologies, digitalization, general technological progress, as well as general economic instability. The concept of sustainability in this case is the most important criterion reflecting stability, continuity, as well as providing a significant share of the efficiency of the production and economic system. An integrated approach to its study in the context of sustainable development is based on the duality of the state of the system: stable and unstable. In a general sense, stability describes such a state of the studied object that ensures the immutability of its main indicators and properties over time. The state of instability, on the contrary, is described as the lack of an object's ability to realize its functions and capabilities, the loss of positive properties and characteristics due to negative exo- and endogenous effects. Proceeding from the fact that the process of functioning of the production and economic system is always associated with a large number of risk factors, it becomes necessary to determine the critical point the point of no return, after the fall of the characteristics of the system, to which its change begins, splitting into components and transformation into another. Thus, an integrated approach makes it possible to determine in a timely manner the cause-and-effect relationships between the stable and unstable state of the system and its current characteristics, but at the same time questions remain related to the possibilities and prerequisites for the transition of the system to one of these states.

Role of recovery profile dependency in time‐dependent resilience

AbstractResilience assessment of civil structures and infrastructure systems plays a vital role in quantitatively measuring the object's ability to withstand and recover from disruptive events (e.g., natural hazards). The performance of the object (structure or system) may degrade with time, and the external loads often display nonstationary characteristics with time‐varying occurrence rate and/or magnitude. In this context, the resilience would be dependent on the duration of the reference period of interest, known as time‐dependent resilience. This article investigates the effect of recovery profile dependency on the time‐dependent resilience of structures and systems. The term “recovery profile dependency” refers to the association of the post‐hazard recovery processes in the aftermath of different load events within the object's service life, and is reflected through the following three aspects: (1) the temporal correlation between the remaining functionalities associated with different load events; (2) the load–recovery interaction (i.e., the scenario that a load event occurs before the full recovery of the degraded functionality due to the previous load event), and (3) the resource allocation strategy in the presence of limited resources, which affects the expeditiousness of each recovery process. In particular, for (2), the concept of average ratio of interaction is proposed to measure the frequency of load‐recovery interaction. The evaluation of time‐dependent resilience is demonstrated through two examples. It is shown that, the time‐dependent resilience is sensitive to the impact of load–recovery interaction and the selection of resource allocation strategy, but is insensitive to the temporal correlation of the remaining functionalities.

Interior Design: The Doll's House and the Working-Class Child

This article explores the unexpected relationship that working-class children had with doll's houses in the late nineteenth century. Placing texts by children's author Frances Hodgson Burnett alongside historical material concerning the manufacture of doll's house furniture by students in London's Ragged Schools under the supervision of housing reformer Octavia Hill, I argue that both women understood the educational or formative value of the doll's house as deriving from the object's ability to teach lessons in temporality. I examine this object and its deployment in contemporary object lessons to show that the spatial divisions of these miniature homes operate in relation to both short- and long-term cycles of time. This article also demonstrates that apparently universal models of selfhood and development were in fact contingent on class structures (both authors, for instance, connect developmental abnormalities in poor children to the fact that they grow up in one-room homes).

Cricket Batting Test Robotic-Based Equipment Using Sensor Cameras with Grid System

Technology development in the 5.0 era has been rapid, including in education and sports. One example of technology in sports education is a sports skills test kit. This study aims to develop and test the cricket batting test robotic-based equipment using sensor cameras with the grid system. The experiment was carried out by measuring student responses regarding using a robotic-based batting test tool using a camera sensor with a grid system. This student response is useful for knowing the extent of student responses and reactions to the products used so that they can be used as reflection material and references in designing products. The research method used in this study is Research and Development. The instrument used in this study is a test instrument in the form of an observation sheet. Product validation is divided into two, media validation and learning evaluation. The final assessment results are 160 and 162, indicating that the product is very suitable for use. They are synchronized by looking for whether there is an effect of student responses on student abilities. The results show 53,4% of the effect of students' positive responses on the object's ability. Based on the study's results, it was stated that the development of the tool was feasible to use and validated by media transfer and evaluation experts. In addition, this research is also developing research inspired by previous research. Further research is needed on implementing modified tools to see the effectiveness of training using an Android-based cricket batting test tool using a sensor camera with a grid system.

While previous theories have related this to the object's ability to function as a topic, I present evidence that the quantized/homogeneous distinction between objects better captures EIS and propose an event composition analysis of EIS for transitive stative predicates. This analysis points to the aspectual nature of EIS and also illuminates other aspectual behaviors of stage-level/individual-level states.

Spatiotemporal adaptation through corticothalamic loops: a hypothesis.

The thalamus is the major gate to the cortex and its control over cortical responses is well established. Cortical feedback to the thalamus is, in turn, the anatomically dominant input to relay cells, yet its influence on thalamic processing has been difficult to interpret. For an understanding of complex sensory processing, detailed concepts of the corticothalamic interplay need yet to be established. Drawing on various physiological and anatomical data, we elaborate the novel hypothesis that the visual cortex controls the spatiotemporal structure of cortical receptive fields via feedback to the lateral geniculate nucleus. Furthermore, we present and analyze a model of corticogeniculate loops that implements this control, and exhibit its ability of object segmentation by statistical motion analysis in the visual field.

Doing Is Believing: Do Laboratory Experiences Promote Conceptual Change?

The present study examined whether notions students hold about scientific concepts are impacted by generating and testing hypotheses. Students enrolled in three ninth grade physical science classes were asked to select and test two student‐generated hypotheses concerning flotation. Conceptual change was assessed by concept maps and word sorting activities administered at three points in the investigation (pre, mid, and post). Lawson's Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning (CTSR) and the Integrated Test of Process Skills (TIPS) were used to assess scientific reasoning ability and proficiency with science process skills, respectively. Twenty‐one of 63 students enrolled in the course completed the battery of assessment items and met the classroom attendance requirement. Those 21 students represented the data sample. Students selecting and investigating the hypothesis that weight determines an object's ability to float generally changed their notion of the relationship between weight and flotation. Students investigating the hypothesis that shape determines an object's ability to float did not exhibit conceptual change regarding shape.
