EFEKTIVITAS MARKETING PUBLIC RELATIONS SEBAGAI IMAGE SUPPLY CHAIN PADA BRAND MIXUE

This study aims to determine the Marketing Public Relations Effectiveness of the Mixue brand as an image supply chain. Marketing public relations is an effort to provide useful information to raise public awareness of a product or brand so that consumers want to buy or collaborate on that product or brand. As well as supply chain, namely effective and efficient supply chain management will be able to increase competitive advantage within the company through efficiency in production and distribution costs as well as the accuracy of production costs to the end consumer. It can be concluded that the effectiveness of Marketing Public Relations cannot be separated from using the principles of the public relations mix. One of them is by setting a low price compared to other competitors. As well as supply chain elements from Mixue, namely ordering raw materials in large volumes, so that they can reduce prices quite significantly. Second, Mixue has a number of production facilities, such as a product research and development center to a logistics center that is able to serve the needs of all outlets and deliver them free of charge. And finally, the Mixing Method for profit is the Economic of Scale method, namely applying orders for raw materials in large quantities and getting cheaper capital. With this supply chain performance franchise, the more outlets, the greater the profit.

Development of Chemical Industry in Russia (USSR) in the Context of Its Economic and Social Policies (1900–1927)

The article analyzes the development of chemical industry in Russia (USSR) in the context of the country’s overall industrial policies from the early 20th century to the prewar five-year plans. Four periods are identified, differing in the driving forces of the industry development, growth rates and product range. Before the outbreak of the First World War, the development of the chemical industry was strongly influenced by the advanced level of the Russian scientific schools. The output of the most important products, however, increased slightly and a number of production facilities were completely absent. Since the First World War, the defense was the most important factor that determined the rates and directions of the industry’s development. The Chemical Committee established under the Main Artillery Directorate was chaired by V. N. Ipatiev. The Committee’s activities concerned with the production of benzene, toluene and other strategically important products are reviewed in detail. In the light of the national policy of industry demobilization that began to be developed in October 1916, we analyze the work of the Central Organ for the Chemical Industry, created to develop a sectoral program for the reconversion to peaceful production. The importance of materials prepared by the Central Organ for the organization of work of the VSNKh’s chemical department and for the preparation of the GOELRO plan is emphasized. The main difficulties in the chemical industry’s recovery in 1921/22 – 1927 are also reviewed. The article is based on the documents and publications in the periodicals from the period under study.

FARMSTEADS-MANSIONS OF ORDINARY RESIDENTS OF KOPYREV KINEC’

On the territory of ancient Kyiv from the end of the X century are fixed numerous farmsteads and separate mansions, which belonged to princes, boyars, merchants, artisans and ordinary inhabitants, formed separate residential and economic complexes, which included both residential and various outbuildings, usually surrounded by fence. Some of the farmsteads located outside the city fortifications had their own fortifications. After analyzing the features of the ancient Rus’ buildings of the Kopyrev kinec’, the following became clear.
 Construction of this area begins with the construction of a fortified farmsteads at its highest point — on the street Sichovyh Striltsiv, 12 (beginning of the XI century). After that, down the slope — on the land on the street Kudriavska, 24A there is a significant number of production facilities that served the needs of the inhabitants of the boyar farmstead. Ferrous iron smelting and processing were carried out here, there were facilities for drying sheaves, a smokehouse, as well as a tar pit. At the next stage, most flammable industries disappear in the middle of the XI — first half of the XII century and in this area there are separate farmsteads of ordinary inhabitants, whose main occupation was a variety of crafts: iron processing, bronze casting, making various things from bronze, possibly making jewelry.
 The richest was the farmstead «Б», which had an area of up to 1200 m2 and was protected on all sides by a fence in the form of a strong fence. There were up to 20 residential, industrial and outbuildings in its area. In the central dwelling of this farmstead they were not engaged in handicrafts, but around it there was a considerable quantity of industrial premises. Most likely, this farmstead was owned by either a merchant or a fairly wealthy artisan.
 Farmstead «B» was smaller in size: ≈1000 m2. About 20 objects were recorded on it. Here they were engaged in smelting and processing of bronze, as well as the manufacture of various iron products. The manufacture of bronze and iron products was carried out in the central living space, and the smelting of bronze — at some distance from the living area. This farmstead could belong to a middle-class artisan who probably participated in the production processes.
 The smallest and poorest was the farmstead «A». Its area was about 800 m2. Here lived an artisan, who most likely engaged in smelting and processing of bronze products, most likely — in a special workshop, which was located next to the house.
 In addition, on the territory of modern Lvivs’ka Square there was a farmstead with a central building of log construction, around which there were outbuildings. Pottery and metalworking workshops could function here.
 Thus, the probable sequence of settlement of the territory of the Kopyrev kinec’ from chaotically located flammable productions to house-building was traced. The inhabitants of the farmsteads were quite clearly divided by property status, but in all estates the main occupation was handicraft.

Thermal desorption treatment of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soils of tundra, taiga, and forest steppe landscapes

The results of field, analytical, and experimental research at a number of production facilities reflect the properties of oil-contaminated soils in 3 landscapes: the permafrost treeless Arctic ecosystem, boreal forest, and temperate-climate grassland-woodland ecotone. Laboratory studies have revealed the concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in soils, ranging from medium levels of 2000–3000 mg/kg to critical figures over 5000 mg/kg, being 2–25 times higher than the permissible content of oil products in soils. The experimentally applied thermal effects for the oil products desorption from the soil allowed finding an optimal regime: the treatment temperature from 25 to 250 °C reduces the concentrations to an acceptable value. The conditions are environmentally sound, given that the complete combustion point of humates is ca. 450 °C. The outcomes suggest the eco-friendly solution for soil remediation, preserving the soil fertility in fragile cold environments and in more resilient temperate climates, where revitalized brownfields are essential for food production.

Analysis and assessment of the bulgarian pharmaceutical industry for manufacturing of medicinal products in human use

One of the main activities related to the provision of medicines is their production. Historically, it has been performing in the pharmacies over a very long period of time. After the beginning of the economic revolution and the initiation of the industrial production of the commodity, a separate drug manufacturing has appeared. To this moment, it is considered a self-sustaining branch of special importance for the system of health. Participants in the pharmaceutical industry in Bulgaria are local and foreign companies that have invested in the manufacture of medicines and active substances. The article examines and analyzes the manufacturers/importers registered in the territory of our country with respect to the main types of dosage forms – sterile, non-sterile medicinal products, biological drugs, clinical trial медицинес, infusion solutions and the type of packaging, storage, certification and release. The economic zones/regions for planning in Bulgaria were used as a comparison. The interconnection between the planning regions and the number of production facilities has also been investigated.

The quality of deep-frozen octopus in the Portuguese retail market: Results from a case study of abusive water addition practices

Octopus spp. are among the most important cephalopod traded. However, consumers frequently complain of excessive reduction of weight/volume, after cooking. A case study in the Portuguese market was held with deep-frozen octopus, being added water and cooking losses evaluated, as well as product's biochemical and microbiological quality. Negative deviations (1.3%–7.7%) to the declared weight were detected in 28% of the products. These shown to be good sources of K, Mg, Cu and Zn and contaminants (Cd, Hg and Pb) were lower than limits. Microbiological quality was generally good though coliform, E. coli, molds and yeasts detected indicate poor hygienic conditions in a number of production facilities. Cephalopod species determined were in accordance with the label in all samples. Most of the products (92%) presented significantly higher moisture and lower protein contents than unprocessed samples, signaling water soaking. Cooking losses were also higher than in unprocessed samples. Overall unconformities were accounted in 80% of the samples, mostly because water was added and not labelled (68%), or because citrates listed as ingredients were not detected. Consumers were shown to be at high risk of being defrauded. New regulations and reference criteria for water addition control need to be enforced.

However, it is difficult to instill company's way into foreign sites with heterogeneous languages or cultures. For multinational corporations, it is still important to develop organizational capabilities for businesses in the home country. However, with increasing business being done overseas, it is important for companies to convey the way of the company that has been nurtured over time to overseas sites-even in cases where decades have passed since company has established an overseas entity-so that the company can entrust the management of the overseas site to the local employees.This article discusses how Komatsu Ltd.-a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, utilities, forest machines, and industrial machinery with long track record of global business development-spread the Komatsu way and the revisions made to the Komatsu way in that process. Herein, we shall examine the spreading and the revision process of the way in overseas expansions-a topic on which there has been little discussion to date.Komatsu began establishing overseas sites more than forty years ago. A large proportion of the company's number of production facilities, sales volume, production volumes, and so forth depends on its overseas business. The company revisited how it formulated the way and the process it employed to instill the way in the overseas sites. This article will examine the formulation of the way and the process of instilling it within companies with high proportion of overseas businesses with long histories.2. Previous StudiesA company's business philosophy and instilling its way into overseas sites with heterogeneous languages and cultures have been long discussed in the field of international business management. Within these discussions, some have argued that for multinational corporations to have control of overseas sites, expatriate employees from headquarters must exert cultural control (Edstrom & Galbraith, 1977). Others have argued for means of strictly controlling results and behavior through formalized rules (Etzioni, 1980) while some have argued for the instillation of values and principles common to the members of an organization by informal means and then guiding these members by actions in accordance with those values and principles (Peters & Waterman, 1982). As to instilling company's way, most discussions have focused on how to get overseas sites to accept way and follow its principles. As overseas sites became increasingly important, management personnel in these sites were no longer sent from headquarters but were often selected from among locally hired employees. In these cases, the development of employees sent from the home country (Takahashi, 2011), the diffusion of kaizen activities (Oki, 2012), and knowledge transfer (Kim, 2013) acquire new importance. At the same time, how overseas sites will involve themselves in the company's way becomes an issue. That said, the relationship between overseas sites and company's way has been little discussed.3. Scope versus focus: issues of flexibility, capacity, and number of production facilities

How should a multi-product manufacturing firm design production facilities? How many facilities should it have? How many and which products should be assigned to each facility? What batch sizes/scheduling rules are appropriate for facilities making more than one product? These are questions that have become more relevant now as advances in manufacturing technologies offer an increasing array of equipment choices. In this article, we introduce models that can help operations managers answer the above questions. For a specific product mix, these models lead to explicit expressions for the number of facilities, the number of products assigned to each facility and their corresponding capacities. We evaluate the effect of different operating parameters and scheduling policies on the optimality of different configurations. In particular, we show that the choice of the scheduling and batch sizing policies can have a significant effect on the nature of the optimal mix of flexible and dedicated facilities as well the size of these facilities.

Lot-sizing algorithm for a coordinated multi-item, multi-source distribution problem

Consider a distribution problem consisting of several warehouses or production facilities. A production facility produces one or more items distributed to several retailers. A retailer may receive supplies from any number of production facilities. External demands for items are constant, continuous, and deterministic. Each facility has a fixed set-up cost, and incurs echelon holding cost for any unused stock. A product-nested replenishment policy whose cost is less than 2% above the cost of all feasible policies is determined. The complexity of the solution algorithm is shown to be O(| W | 4| D | log | D |) where | W | and | D | are the number of warehouses and items, respectively.
