The Effect of the STAD Cooperative Learning Model on Students' Cooperation Attitude in the Subject of Pancasila Education

Cooperative learning strategies have been widely recognized for enhancing interpersonal skills and fostering positive student attitudes. The Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) model emphasizes structured group work and individual accountability, which are crucial in cultivating cooperative attitudes. In the context of Pancasila Education—a foundational course aimed at instilling national ideology and character building in Indonesian students—the integration of effective cooperative learning models is essential for promoting social harmony and civic responsibility. This study aims to investigate the effect of the STAD Cooperative Learning Model on students' cooperation attitudes within the framework of Pancasila Education. Specifically, it seeks to determine whether the implementation of the STAD model significantly enhances cooperative behaviors and attitudes among high school students engaged in the Pancasila curriculum. A quasi-experimental research design was employed, involving two groups of high school students enrolled in Pancasila Education classes. The experimental group participated in the STAD cooperative learning model, while the control group followed traditional instructional methods. Data were collected using a validated cooperation attitude questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. The sample comprised 200 students selected through stratified random sampling to ensure representativeness. Statistical analyses, including paired t-tests and ANCOVA, were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the STAD model. Preliminary findings indicate that students exposed to the STAD cooperative learning model exhibited a significant improvement in their cooperation attitudes compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The experimental group showed enhanced abilities in teamwork, communication, and mutual support, aligning with the core principles of Pancasila Education. Additionally, subgroup analyses revealed that the positive effects of the STAD model were consistent across different demographic variables, including gender and socio-economic status.

Education plays an important role in shaping the character and identity of a nation. This article discusses how the local content curriculum serves to inject local values, ethics and morality into the learning process. By focusing on cultural identity and local values, local content education helps shape students' character and identity. In addition, the article discusses the difficulties and prospects for incorporating local content education into the national education system, and provides thoughts on how local content education can serve as a key pillar in the nation's character building.

Narration of Islamic Values in the “Sang Piatu” Folklore

Background: Indonesia is rich with cultural diversity as the identity of the Indonesian nation. One form of diversity is folklore. As a cultural product, folklore contains value narratives that are important for national character building.
 Purpose: This research focuses on the narrative of Islamic value education content in folklore. The purpose of this research article is to find out the narrative of Islamic value education content conveyed in the Sang Piatu folklore.
 Design and methods: The research method used is descriptive-qualitative with a narrative structure and value approach as a conceptual reference for analysis. The research data was collected by using documentation technique. The object of analysis is the folklore of Sang Piatu from Bengkulu which was published as a non-educational textbook in 2016.
 Results: The results showed that the Sang Piatu folktale has a narrative structure: equilibrium, disruption, disequilibrium (recognition, resettlement), and new-equilibrium. The value of Islamic education is about seeking knowledge and sincerity which are narrated implicitly and explicitly through direct dialog or storytelling narrators. The folklore of the Sang Piatu becomes an educational medium to form a personality with Islamic values.

Development of Character Education Curriculum Management Based on the Integration of Pancasila Values in PAUD Tampahan District Toba Regency

Education management according to Law No. 20/2003 Article 1 Paragraph 1 includes planning, organizing, directing and controlling educational resources to develop human potential holistically, including mental, moral and physical. Character education management emphasizes developing learners' characters with moral values such as honesty, responsibility and tolerance. The integration of character values in the curriculum aims to create academically intelligent and highly moral individuals. In PAUD Tampahan sub- district, the current Curriculum 2013 (K13) focuses more on academic and cognitive aspects, while character development and Pancasila values receive less attention. K13, which refers to Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 146 of 2014, has not been optimal in emphasizing Pancasila-based character education. Based on observation, 70% of PAUD teachers felt the need for a more structured curriculum to teach Pancasila values. This research aims to: (a) to produce a character education curriculum management design based on the integration of Pancasila values in PAUD Tampahan District, Toba Regency, and (b) to find Pancasila values that are integrated and their implementation in daily learning. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) that aims to develop and validate a character education curriculum based on Pancasila values for PAUD. The curriculum design was developed through four stages: (1) Planning: Identifying the need for character education based on Pancasila values, with 70% of PAUD teachers stating the need for a structured curriculum. (2) Organizing: Establishing the structure and components of the curriculum, including learning objectives, core competencies, and basic competencies. (3) Implementation: Pilot testing of the curriculum at Jagung PAUD showed 88% of learners in the "Developing as expected" category and 12% in the "Developing Very Well" category, with no learners in the "Not Developing" or "Beginning to Develop" categories. (4) Monitoring: Pre-test and post-test evaluations showed an increase in learner development, indicating the success of the curriculum.This curriculum integrates 10 of the 18 values of national character building according to Syarbaini (2011), namely: Sincerity, Unity, Mutual cooperation, Deliberation, Cooperation, Harmony, Patriotism, Simplicity, Dignity and self-respect, and Hard work.

Strengthening The Awareness Of State Defense Of The Millennial Generation Through Defense Management Against Economic Threats After The Covid-19 Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit globally at the end of 2019 had a significant impact on the Indonesian economy. The PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) policy enacted at that time caused various economic problems such as increasing commodity prices in the market and increasing unemployment due to layoffs (Termination of Employment) which occurred due to the declining economic growth rate. This research uses a qualitative approach that aims to identify how the economic impact of the post-Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia and outline how appropriate state defense efforts for the millennial generation to face economic threats as non-military threats that affect national resilience. The results of this study confirm that the concept of state defense efforts must be implemented gradually and continuously in order to instill awareness of state defense in the younger generation. This approach can be done through various channels, both through formal and non-formal education. Promoting the concept of universal defense by involving all potential national resources is key in strengthening national character building. This is done by fostering awareness and state defense skills for every Indonesian citizen, so that they are ready to become part of the human resources that defend the country. Moreover, this approach also strengthens national identity that is rooted in personality and culture based on the values of Pancasila. Given the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Indonesia's economy, including rising prices of basic necessities, high unemployment rates, and declining investment, it is important that we raise state defense awareness and educate Millennials about their role in maintaining the country's resilience.

The rapid technological advance does not rule out the possibility of eliminating the national character values in the young generation because trends, cultures and information spread very quickly, both from within and outside the country. To keep the young generation from being carried away by the negative impacts of technological advance, so the education is expected to be able to build the students’ national character through relevant learning, namely Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The objectives of this research were to determine the stages, strategies, and challenges of national character building in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Public Junior High School (SMPN) 18 Mataram. The research type used was descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion or verification. The results of the research showed that (1) the stages carried out in national character building through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Public Junior High School (SMPN) 18 Mataram were inculcation, nurturing, developing, and stabilizing. Furthermore, (2) the strategies carried out were explanations, learning activities in the classroom, cultural development at school and learning activity centers, and extracurricular activities. (3) Meanwhile the challenges faced were the lack of facilities from school, association, social media, family environment, and community environment.

Role of Character Education in National Character Building: A Retrospection Noble Values of Muslim Religiosity

Indonesia is widely known as one accumulated national entity consisting of many differences of tribes, cultures and religions. As a result of unity in diversity, Indonesia possessed a significant impact in the history aiming to educate youth generations. The article describes a historical background of the nation running education specifically to build the nation character. Meanwhile based on that reason, the effort to implement trustworthy behaviors through whole aspect of religious characteristics imprinted in the deep heart of the nation. To add some more, Indonesia which is well-known for its addressing religious nation must set up the goal of the nation which is definitely in harmony with the values of religious teachings. The article also provides an effort to educate the nation by focusing and paying great attention to the program of civilizing people. Clearly, the article in detail discusses a successful progress of bulding character education in Indonesia. Besides, this article utilizes analysis methid focusing on causal effectual method correlating Character Education as a result of national character building using literature review model. This article then finds out that there is a similar pattern between bulding nation character and character education. Moreover, the term retrospection is used merely to reflect the implementation of noble values of Indonesia through what is called by education principle. Social Piety Index for Character Development in Indonesia: A Case Study Of Mojokerto

Since 2010, National Character Development has been a program. This nationwide initiative faces fairly significant issues due to the dynamics and changes in the life patterns of individuals. To revitalize the national program, the national movement of mental revolution was then established in 2016. This program's implementation was crucial, but it did not appear to have a precise evaluation system to measure its success. Therefore, a system of evaluation that could generate index documents of the success rate was required. Social Piety Index was the community behavior survey that had been conducted (Indeks Kesalehan Sosial-IKS). This survey examined the level of social piety and produced a document with an index of accomplishments. Consequently, the IKS record may be utilized as a depiction of the evolution of the community's character. Utilizing a quantitative approach with statistical analysis, the survey method employed was quantitative. The acquired result revealed that both the knowledge and attitude data were strong, but the level of correlation between the two was poor. The combination of a high piety index and a low correlation suggested that it was necessary to address additional concerns. These additional characteristics required specialized investigation to be revealed. The establishment of the IKS was essential, particularly if it served as an evaluation system and measuring tool for the accomplishment of national character building.

IMAM ZARKASYI DAN KONSEP PENDIDIKAN HIDDEN CURIKULUM

Imam Zarkasyi (1910-1985) of Gontor Ponorogo East Java along with his two other brothers called Trimurti (the three founders of Pondok Modern Gontor), both KH. Ahmad Sahal (1901-1977) and KH. Zainuddin Fannani (1905- 1967) were the most dedicated figures on the modern Indonesian Islamic boarding schools education system. Kiai Zarkasyi was not only well known in Indonesia but even in the Muslim world. This article attempts to gain a deeper understanding about Zarkasyi‘s educational philosophy and his hidden curriculum; and how the patterns of its implementation in the educational system processes thus provides a significant influence on his discipliners, with a qualitative approach in the form of naturalistic phenomenology through literature study and empirical experience as a means of checking the validity of confirmatory data. The findings revealed that all educational activities in Pondok Modern Gontor has governed by a soul by design which maintained formal curriculum (intracurricular and extra-curricular) called written curriculum. On the top of all, the study discoveres the patterns of hidden curriculum applicable as the affect of edicational process under the formal curriculum. It took place in many models such as learning by instruction, learning by doing, and so on. Here, in fact, there is the strength and success of education in dormitories, such as in Pondok Modern Gontor which has a significant direct effect on the students, who in turn has an effect on the nation character building and the religion.

Indonesian Folk Narratives: On the Interstices of National Identity, National Values, and Character Education

Abstract Folklore has been linked to national identity formation. In this article, informed by Johann Gottfried Herder’s romantic nationalism and following Alan Dundes’s (1965) method of folklore studies, it is argued that Indonesia has historically followed this trail, and its recent movement of collecting and disseminating Indonesian folk narratives from across the archipelago is a culminating point in this endeavour. Although the move was claimed to support the national literacy and character building movement, the rigorous endeavour of the government in garnering folktales from all 34 provinces can also be read as part of the national political agenda of strengthening the national integrity, promoting unity in diversity and disseminating so-called national values. Examining further the contexts and procedures of how the narratives were collected and selected for publication, the study reveals an effort to inculcate national values targeted at students in formal education, but more particularly young children as the future harbingers of national values.

Moral Values for the National Character Building in Novel “The Rainbow Troops”

This study is to identify the moral values that can be implemented to build students’ character in the novel “The Rainbow Troops”. The research method was qualitative research with intertext approach. The role of the researcher is a compulsory because the researcher is the key instrument in this study. The finding in this research is found fourteen moral values or more than a half number of moral values that were promoted by Kemendiknas in the year 2010. One of them is the dominant, it is empathetic. Two of them are the moderate number; they are religious and sportive and respectful values. The others are the low number; they are disciplined, hard-working, creative, independent, democratic, curious, patriotic, inclusive and communicative, peace-loving, studious, and responsible. All of them can be used to build student’s character.

The National Character Building in “Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra”

The study is aimed to analyse national character building in Novel entitled “Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra. The researcher referred to the list of character building according to Doni Koesoema 2007. The research applied descriptive qualitative research method. The method of gathering data is the Documentation method. The researcher intended to describe the National Character Building based on the utterances and behaviour of the main characters in the Novel. The data analysis is a significant step in a part of this research, because it aims examining the data collection’s validity and reliability. In analysing the data, the procedures are 1) the researcher selected the Novel. 2) The researcher read the Novel. 3) The researcher tried to find the National Character Building from “Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra”. 4) The researcher analysed the data. 5) The researcher drew the conclusion based on the data analysis. Based on the finding of this research, the writer found religious, responsible, hard-working, curious, respectful, inclusive and communicative, peace-loving, and compassion in the novel “Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra”. There are 7 religious, 2 responsible, 3 hard-working, 1 curious, 2 respectful, 2 inclusive and communicative, 7 peace-loving, and 2 compassion in the novel.

Multi-Ethnic and Multi-Religious Involvement of Indonesian-Chinese Muslims Society in Habituating the Indonesian Nation Character

Together with the meaning of unity in diversity, Indonesia had been known as one of the country in the world who had a wonderful spirit on keeping unite in the diversity. Known as having Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Indonesian people lived harmoniously within multicultural, multireligion, and multiethnic society which had been shaped since centuries ago. Living along different ethnical background or religion background did not make Indonesian people ignored the existence of minorities. Indonesian people nowadays, did not differenciate the majorities or the minorities. Talking about nation character, it was an important duty for all Indonesian people. The purposes of this research were to find out the implementation of habituating the nation character of Chinese-Muslims in Muhammad Cheng Hoo Hajj Foundation Indonesia. This research used qualitative methods with descriptive research as the type of research. The data consisted of Informant, Observation, and Document. The results of this research were: Muhammad Cheng Hoo Hajj Foundation Indonesia had some activities that are related to nation character building. This foundation had many activities with cross-religion, cross-cultural, and cross-ethnical organization.

Makna Material Culture dalam “Sarung” sebagai Identitas Santri

In material culture as a concept of local culture and nation heritage, “sarong” also has non-material value, likes as a symbol of santri, heroism, social class, kindness and honor. Sarong with variuos size, color, motifs, and pattern shapes the person and society, even the identity of a nation, especially Indonesia. Sarong even became part of the symbol of religiosity and diversity of Indonesia. By borrowing Bung Karno's message that the task of future generations is nation character building, caring for and developing a sarong culture, it can be seen as an effort to care for and develop the nation's character. Therefore, this paper use approachs or perspectives : material culture concept, social class perspective, and nation characer building concept. Method of writing is literary studies and analysis content method by various in resorches that support this article. The result of exprloration indicate that sarong can be the symbol for nation building character and identity with meaning and history contents powerly.

The art of honing the conscience through bukalapak ads: barongsai Indonesia, juara hati membangun bangsa

Culture is one of the foundations for the existence of Indonesia as a nation, as it is expressed in the second stanza of her national anthem. The government has taken an initiative to prioritize national character building, which places character education to realize the vision of national development. One of the efforts to visualize this Indonesian is constructed through a Bukalapak advertisement entitled “Barongsai Indonesia, Juara Hati Membangun Negeri,” which presented the Kong Ha Hong lion dance group and was published via Youtube. This study aims to see that the character values of the Indonesian nation can be constructed through digital media, more precisely through an advertisement. This research employed a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm that sees facts as unique and has a special meaning. In addition, the analysis used Thomas Albert Sebeok's visual semiotics to depict several similar classifications to different visual symbols. It was found that every advertisement scene contained both visual and audio messages related to the adaptation of the culture and character of the Indonesian. The contribution and novelty of this research in its construction of the deep meaning of an advertisement are that the conscience has played a major role in the process of cultural adaptation in which the national characters have been honed through the actual actions in the heart-mind, body, and spirit. Establishment Students’ Religious Character Through the Distinctive of Madrasah Activities

The Distinctive of Madrasah is an extra-curricular activity that has Islamic distinctive and character, this distinctive designed as a means of forming the noble character of students based on Islamic values ​​in madrasah. In the long term, the Distinctive of Madrasah is expected to contribute to preparing fully human resources as pillars in nation character building. This study aimed to describe the phenomena and experiences of managing the Distinctive of Madrasah activities at MAN I Sungai Penuh, as a forum for establishment students' religious character. In this case, the researcher has used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach, who trying to understand and describe the same experience about the management of the Distinctive of Madrasah activities as a means of establishment students' religious character. The data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the informants of this study were the teachers and students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sungai Penuh which consisted of 11 people. The data were analyzed by reducing, verifying, displaying, and drawing conclusions. The result of this study was the implementation of the Distinctive of Madrasah activities at MAN I Sungai Penuh, which consists of programmed activities which are scheduled activities, measurable routines, and non-programmed activities in the form of daily routine activities, spontaneous and exemplary. Both activities are carried out in an integrated and synergized manner to strengthen the religious character of students. The continuous and continuous implementation of the Distinctive of Madrasah at MAN I Sungai Penuh has brought positive results with the establishment of students' religious character which is marked by the increased understanding and charity of students' worship and an increased sense of togetherness, brotherhood, and caring among others both in daily life at Madrasah and home.

Upaya Meningkatkan Pengembangan Nilai–Nilai Budaya dan Karakter Bangsa Melalui Penerapan Pendekatan PAIKEM pada Mata Pelajaran Keagamaan di MAN Kendal

The national character building that has been pursued in various forms has not been implemented optimally. Today there are many anarchist acts, social conflicts, bad language and disrespect. All of this reinforces the uncertainty of the identity, culture and character of the nation. The specific purpose of this study was to assess the feasibility of the PAIKEM method in teaching and learning practices in MAN Kendal. While the overall goal is to form a growth model for integrated education that incorporates cultural values ??and national character into teaching and learning practices, especially in the subjects of the Qur'an Hadith, Aqidah Ahklaq, and Fiqh in MAN Kendal. This study uses the school action research method (PTS) with data collection techniques through observation, field data notes, interviews, test results and notes on the results of reflections/discussions conducted by researchers and collaborative friends (research partners). The results of the study show that incorporating the development of cultural values ??and national character into all subjects is not a difficult task, but it is necessary to do it. The research results show that teachers at MAN Kendal develop a better understanding and mastery of PAIKEM, which has an impact on the growth of cultural values ??and national character.

Quo Vadis History Textbook (Internalization of Multicultural Values and Nationalism in High School History Subject)

History textbooks as official history are historiographical works which in their use are permitted for educational purposes. The problem in the study of historical textbooks is that there is a dichotomy in the material orientation of the doctrine of Nationalism and multiculturalism, where these two values should be an integral and inseparable part. The internalization of the values of multiculturalism and nationalism needs to be understood by teachers and students in order to know the national identity without ignoring the sides of pluralism and multiculturalism as a form of socio-historical diversity of students as Indonesian society. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with document study techniques (content analysis). This study aims to describe the process of planting multicultural values and the doctrine of nationalism in textbooks in building national identity (national character building) in learning history in the classroom.

The Value of Pancasila as Strengthening the Character Building of the Indonesian Nation
