Leadership training and character education for teachers in assisted schools is carried out to improve the quality of education through increasing leadership abilities and instilling character values. As educators and classroom leaders, teachers have a major impact on students' intellectual and moral development. Therefore, this training is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed so that teachers can become leaders and shape students' strong character and integrity. This program includes leadership theory, effective communication techniques, conflict management, getting to know one's identity, as well as strategies for developing student character according to the independent curriculum. The approach used combines active learning methods such as group discussions and case studies, so that teachers can apply the concepts learned in real contexts. The main focus is on developing student character through values ​​such as honesty, responsibility, empathy and cooperation. This training can improve the leadership competence of school principals and classroom teachers, create a positive school environment, and produce the next generation with strong character and harmony. Students are expected to be able to have better character in the future in knowing themselves, culture, the environment and nationalist spirit.

Measuring the Role of Kiai and Santri in Creating the Spirit of Nationalism (Historical Approach in Reconstructing the Meaning of Jihad Resolution)

This article discusses the Jihad Resolution and the Nationalist spirit of the Islamic boarding school students (santri) in fighting for Indonesian independence because recently the Nationalist spirit of the Indonesian people has begun to erode, some even consider it an ideology that is contrary to Islam. By using a qualitative-historical approach and data collection techniques through literature study, this article wants to show that the spirit of Nationalism needs to be instilled in the souls of all the nation's children because it is the result of the Jihad Resolution to jointly defend and dedicate identity, integrity with the national spirit that was born by Hadratus Sheikh KH. Hasyim Asy'ari as a great scholar and founder of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Therefore, the opinion that Nationalism is a heretical ideology does not have a strong argument, especially when considering that Nationalism is excessive fanaticism which is prohibited makers that it is necessary to continuously instill the spirit of Nationalism by in religion. The results of this research can at least provide input to policy reviving the Jihad Resolution which is currently relevant to the nation's conditions. Jihad resolution does not mean physical war, but jihad can be actualized by a student in several aspects. Like; literacy jihad, jihad in the medical world, technology, economics, politics and other things relevant to.

ANALISIS INTEGRASI MATERI SEJARAH DAN KEBERAGAMAAN DALAM PRAKTIK PENDIDIKAN DI INDONESIA

This research is motivated by Indonesia's long history based on diversity of cultures, languages, religions, ethnicities, races, and customs. The integration of historical and religious materials in educational practices in Indonesia aims to understand the learning content that will shape the character of students as grassroots individuals with a nationalist spirit and religious moral values. In this study, the author employs a qualitative literature approach by collecting various relevant data sources. The theory of multicultural education, consisting of five elements: content integration, understanding the construction process of knowledge, reducing prejudice, equity pedagogy, and strengthening school culture as well as social structure by James A. Banks, serves as the analytical foundation for this research. The results indicate that historical materials also contain teachings on being tolerant and open to various differences in race, ethnicity, tribe, and culture. History learning that incorporates religious practices will create a harmonious environment by applying the principles of mutual respect, equality, and togetherness.

Analisis Implementasi Profil Pelajar Pancasila dalam Membentuk Karakter Siswa Kelas V SDN 2 Balerejo

Education is a process of developing all aspects of human life including knowledge, skills and character values. Western paradigms that enter Indonesia need to be sorted out, especially cultural deviations and Pancasila values. Strengthening character education seeks to shape student character to integrate Pancasila values, in order to create a generation with character, nationalist spirit, and global competence. The independent curriculum aims to realize Pancasila students through the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile which is divided into six dimensions, namely faith, devotion to God Almighty and noble character, critical thinking, global diversity, independence, creativity, and mutual cooperation. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was done through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of student character education at SDN 2 Balerejo was carried out through learning activities, extracurricular activities, habituation, and the Student Character Education Strengthening Project. Supporting factors include school commitment, parental support and active student participation. However, there are some obstacles such as the lack of literacy, students' interest and willingness, and the low role of parents. This study suggests increasing school program innovation, improving parental support, and optimizing the learning process. Thus, it is expected that the Pancasila Student Profile can effectively shape students' character in accordance with the values of Pancasila and can be actualized in daily activities.

Spirit Islam Santri Dalam Fatwa Jihad Pada Pertempuran Surabaya 1945

During the Battle of Surabaya in 1945, the Islamic spirit of the Santris and the fatwa for jihad played a crucial role. The fatwa for jihad, which was infused with Islamic values, ignited the nationalist spirit among the warriors and citizens of Surabaya to resist the invaders. This research aims to: (a) understand the Islamic spirit of the santri in the context of the fatwa for jihad; (b) identify the factors driving the religious spirit of the santri; and (c) analyse the impact of the Islamic enthusiasm of the santri in the jihad fatwa on the 1945 Battle of Surabaya. This study adopts Kevin W. Fogg's Islamic spirit approach and utilises a historical method that includes heuristics, critiques, interpretations, and historiography. Primary sources such as archives, contemporary newspapers, and various studies are utilised to uncover historical facts about the spirit of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) santri in response to the call for jihad. The research findings highlight how the Islamic spirit of the santri, shaped by their understanding of jihad based on faith in Allah and obedience to the kiai, influenced the fighting spirit of the santri, national unity, and war strategy, and garnered support from various circles in the Surabaya community. The finding of this research is how the Islamic spirit of the santri that animates their understanding of jihad based on faith in Allah and obedience to the kiai influences the fighting spirit of the santri, national unity, war strategy, and the support of the Surabaya community from various circles.

The Extracurricular Role of Hizbul Wathan in Shaping the Nationalist Character of Students at Ma Muhammadiyah 1 Medan

This research aims to determine the role of Hizbul Wathan extracurriculars in shaping the nationalist character of students at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted at the Hizbul Wathan (HW) MA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan cohesive organization, the research subjects were the supervisors, administrators and members of HW. The findings in this study show that; 1) The HW scout leaders and members do not yet have a complete understanding of the concept of nationalism, but implicitly in running the organization the management and members have actually demonstrated the seeds of the spirit of nationalism in every planning and implementation of activities. 2) Strengthening the organization with a foundation of nationalist spirit based on state ideology and Muhammadiyah values. Through strong organizational commitment, the spirit of nationalism will flow within the HW scout members. 3) HW scout members will become nationalists. This was demonstrated in HW's scouting activities at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan through respecting the flag, avoiding the spread of fake news, and not being involved in negative activities. To encourage the development of national values ??and a sense of nationalism in students, HW coaches, Civics teachers, and Social Sciences teachers use varied methods supported by flag ceremonies, sports competitions, and local arts events.

The Effect of International Marketing and Tariff and Non-Tariff Strategy to Business Performance through Nationalism Spirit

In the rapidly evolving landscape of global business, this research investigates the intricate interplay between international marketing, tariff and non-tariff strategies, nationalist spirit, and their collective impact on business performance. Employing a cross-sectional quantitative design within the Indonesian context, the study explores how businesses adapt their marketing approaches to navigate diverse trade regulations and respond to nationalist sentiments. The results reveal significant relationships between international marketing and both business performance and nationalist spirit. Moreover, the study underscores the substantial influence of tariff and non-tariff strategies on business performance, with pronounced effects in markets characterized by heightened nationalist spirit. These findings contribute to theoretical advancements in international business literature and offer practical insights for businesses aiming to formulate effective strategies, navigate regulatory complexities, and enhance performance in a globalized economy

Philosophical Meaning and Educational Values in Sari Swara as a Textbook for Appreciating Children's Literature

This study specifically aims to examine the philosophical meaning and educational values contained in the Serat Sari Swara by Ki Hajar Dewantara (KHD). Serat Sari Swara is an old literary work (1930) written directly by KHD using Javanese script and in Javanese poetry/tembang type. Studying old literary works is crucial, considering that many moral teachings and educational values are implicit. Based on the format and character, this descriptive qualitative research used an interactive model of data analysis method, with a literary interpretive perspective content analysis method. The primary data sources of this research came from the Serat Sari Swara script and the results of interviews with informants. The research findings revealed the philosophical meanings and values of the five Serat Sari Swara poetry as follows. Based on data analysis on the philosophical meaning and educational values of Serat Sari Swara, it can be summarized as follows. 1) Sekar Gula Ganthi contains philosophical and educational values of religious education and the value of discipline education (discipline in carrying out its duties, hard work and responsibility to carry out the task of completing the mission it carries). 2) Langen Siswa contains philosophical meanings and the value of character education of thank God and value togetherness and solidarity. 3) Tembang Puji Santosa has philosophical and educational values of obey the teacher, students must be serious if they study, everything must be carried out sincerely, do not like to be sad, do not be lazy, always be grateful, 4) Tembang Ima-Ima contains the educational value of decency and politeness in an association. 5) Sekar Ageng Salyarini contains the philosophical meaning of nationalist spirit and willing to sacrifice. The results of this study will later be developed into a textbook material for children's literature appreciation for the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program.

THE UKM KAGAMA’S ROLE OF STAIN MANDAILING NATAL IN STRENGTHENING RELIGIOUS MODERATION FOR STUDENTS AT MUSTHAFAWIYAH PURBA BARU

In the midst of the government's incessant program to strengthen religious moderation through Islamic boarding schools, Musthafawiyah as one of the oldest and largest salafi Islamic boarding schools in Sumatra has its own potential and challenges in strengthening religious moderation. STAIN Mandailing Natal as the closest tertiary institution to the Mustafawiyah Islamic boarding school through the Kagama UKM has taken part in carrying out its role in strengthening religious moderation in the Mustafawiyah santri environment. This study aims to explain the role of UKM Kagama in strengthening religious moderation in the Musthafawiyah santri environment. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are through observation, interviews, documentation, descriptive analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that Kagama STAIN Mandailing Natal UKM played a very important role in strengthening religious moderation in the Musthafawiyah students. The role of UKM is realized through training and coaching in the five fields that are being studied by Kagama UKM, namely the yellow book, syarhil qur'an, tahfiz, recitations and rose accounting. In order to strengthen religious moderation, Kagama UKM members directly interact and discuss with students in the Islamic boarding school environment, both reviewing contemporary interpretation books, reviewing religious moderation texts for syarhil qur'an, guiding recitations and tahfiz readings, and practicing rose accounting skills. The actualization of the role of UKM Kagama is expected to be able to equip students spiritually and religiously so as to form individual students who are religious, have a nationalist spirit and accept diversity and are trained to be tolerant but still consistent, because these attitudes will form a moderate spirit in presenting Islam that is rahmatan lil natural.

Conflict Resolution: Comparative Analysis of Separatist Conflicts in Papua, Indonesia, and Zulu, South Africa

The conflicts in Papua, Indonesia, and Zulu, South Africa, present similarities and differences. This article concentrates on the discussion of the separatist conflict in Papua which is then compared with the separatist conflict in Zulu, South Africa. Which ended with a peace agreement between the Zulu separatist movement and the South African government to take lessons from the Zulu Separatist Conflict to support the resolution of the separatist conflict in Papua, Indonesia. This paper is based on the Library Research methodology and comparative method approach.. There is a big difference, namely that in the Zulu conflict there is a window of opportunity which is the way to peace and ends in a peace agreement. Meanwhile, the Papua conflict does not yet have a window of opportunity which is an opportunity to pave the way for peace. So it is hoped that the Indonesian government will be more observant in seeing opportunities in resolving the Papua conflict. Since the democratic elections, there has been no figure from Papua with an Indonesian nationalist spirit who is able to accommodate and bridge between the Papuan separatist groups and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. Because looking at the Zulu conflict, apart from the election event there were also nationalist and democratic figures who were black in South Africa.

Mediatisasi Politik dan Personal Branding Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono Melalui Media Sosial Instagram

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) is the youngest candidate for president or vice president, it is necessary to maximize communication strategies through Instagram in gaining support from young voters. This study uses the Post-Positive Paradigm, with the basis of Agenda Setting theory, Personal Branding theory, Mediatization theory, as well as with a Qualitative-Descriptive research approach. Data Analysis Techniques using Framing Analysis (Zongdang Pan & Gerald M. Kosicki) and qualitative data analysis techniques developed by Miles & Huberman. Methods of data collection using observation, and documentation. Data obtained directly from AHY's Instagram accounts, and observations. AHY reported on his activities, social action activities, family, and political activities, in the form of photos and videos through Instagram @agusyudhoyono social media. In the framing of this research, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono is a political figure who has national values, is firm, a fairly good young politician, a young leader who is admired by young people, has a nationalist spirit, and is a humanist figure. In Personal Branding, Agus Yudhoyono is known and admired by the younger generation as a young political figure, well-groomed, charismatic, handsome, and authoritative.

Nizami Gəncəvının “İskəndərnamə” poemasının bədıı-estetık xüsusıyyətlərı

As in all of Nizami’s works, in the poem «Iskandername» he attached special importance to the national-historical values, including the preservation of the harmony of historical truths. At the same time, the evaluation of the character of Iskandar, the main character of the poem «Iskandarname», as a type of historical personality does not go unnoticed. While embodying the image of the genius Nizami Iskander, he opposes the ideas of nationalism, criticizes the unethical nationalist spirit of Ferdowsi’s attitude towards Iskander. In the article, a special place has been devoted to this aspect, and the realities of the spiritual and moral approach in Nizami Ganjavi’s attitude towards Iskander have been analyzed. As we know, N.Ganjavi gave high value to Ferdowsi’s position in Eastern literature and his poem «Shahnama». Although Nizami talks about the merits of the artistic-historical qualities of the Shahnameh poem, he criticizes Firdowsi for the incorrect assessment of historical realities and the personality factor. In the process of analysis, the advantages of Nizami’s truthfulness in relation to Alexander over Firdowsi’s falsification are revealed, and Nizami’s loyalty to historical truths as a Turkish writer is kept in focus. As a result, the false thoughts formed about Alexander in Ferdowsi’s «Shahname» are trivialized and these thoughts are replaced by the real-historical image of Alexander in Nizami’s «Iskandername».

Inspectors of the Raj: A Pedagogy of Critical Conservatism in Odisha

This essay investigates new articulations of belonging and community identity that emerged in Odisha, on the eastern coast of India, in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century through the works of an inspector of schools. Largely taken in the historiography to be mere bureaucrats, inspectors of schools, especially in colonial Odisha, were an important component in the administration of the province, and emerged as arbiters of taste, doyens of Odia literature, and public intellectuals. This essay proposes that their negotiation with the colonial apparatus and prevalent Odia linguistic nationalist spirit was carried out through a novel cultural ideology, ‘critical conservatism’. Deploying a comparative framework with the development of conservatism in Bengal, this essay examines the uniqueness of the conservative impulse in Odisha, thereby suggesting a rethinking of conservatism as a cultural enterprise. Moving away from the focus on the literary works of Fakir Mohan Senapati, this article throws light on the works and lives of other figures of modernity such as Radhanath Ray, Nanda Kishore Bala, Madhusudan Rao, and the Satyabadi School, a unique intervention in pedagogy taken up in Odisha in the early twentieth century.

The Implementation of Character Education to Improve Social Skills of Elementary School Students

Education is one of the main keys to building and shaping citizens' character quality. One of the skills in education is social skills. This research aims to determine the implementation of character education in the formation of social skills in elementary schools. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects in this study were teachers and elementary school students. Instrument content validation was carried out by consulting the validator team. Methods of data collection using interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study show that there is an influence between character education by carrying out routine religious activities, instilling a nationalist spirit, carrying out tasks independently, cooperation, and helping others in terms of goodness, which is then integrated into everyday life to foster social attitudes in the form of honesty, discipline, responsibility, polite, caring and confident so, the application of character education has a good impact on social attitudes in students.

Faktor Domestik Penolakan Italia terhadap Pengungsi dari Afrika Utara tahun 2015-2019

The wave of refugees that was initiated by the Arab Spring phenomenon has increased the number of refugee arrivals in Italy starting in 2015. Refugees from North Africa who use the Central Mediterranean Route to reach mainland Italy pose a new threat to the Italian government related to the refugee crisis that occurred. The anti-refugee stance formed by the Italian government which was implemented through the Closed Port Policy and the Salvini Decree-Law on Immigration is a policy that was formed after the victory of the right-wing party in Italy. Italy's repressive policies, which exclude international law from the 1951 Convention and the European Union's CEAS on the issue of refugees, become an interesting topic to study how the domestic. level has a major influence on the rejection of refugees by the Italian government. In explaining how the role of the domestic level influences foreign policy, the author uses the concept of Neoclassical Realism by Gideon Rose which is supported through a qualitative method approach with data collection techniques in the form of literature studies. Based on the discussion and analysis, there are three points on how the domestic level plays a major role in the policy of rejecting refugees from North Africa. First, the use of the Put Italian First identity as a nationalist spirit generator by Salvini. Second, there is pressure from interest groups and parties to adopt their interests. Third, the anti-refugee factor of Salvini's leadership made the government exclude international law on refugees.

Implementing Religious Moderation and Tolerance Attitude in Akidah Akhlak Learning

This article aims to find the implementation of religious moderation and the formation of student tasamuh attitudes at MAS Al Huda, Pangkalan Susu district. This research is qualitative, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Primary data sources in this study include; principals, teachers of Akidah Akhlak, School Public Relations, and PKS 3 for Student Affairs and Students. The next step of data analysis is collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and concluding data. The results of the study revealed that planning was carried out during the preparation of the syllabus and included matters relating to religious moderation in the material of Akidah akhlak. While implementing learning, the teacher uses learning methods that follow the material, such as the lecture method, and even prioritizes group discussions to instill a moderate attitude in students, namely mutual respect, respect, being fair to group friends, and being sporty during the learning process. The implication is that it has an impact on the attitudes that are built in students, such as students having better religious attitudes and social attitudes, such as being obedient to worship, respecting others, establishing intimacy, having social care, having a nationalist spirit, being tolerant, and obeying the rules.
