Transformation of Pancasila Student Profile: Integration of religious dimensions through school culture and character education in elementary schools

The transformation of the Pancasila Student Profile is a key effort in shaping the character and national identity of students in Indonesia. This study explores integrating religious dimensions into school culture to strengthen the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile at the elementary school level. The research method used is a literature study, in-depth analysis of educational policies, school practices, and relevant character education theories. The focus of this study is on implementing religious values as an integral part of school culture and its impact on the formation of student attitudes and behaviours through the Pancasila Student Profile. The literature reviewed includes various studies and reports highlighting the importance of religious values in character education and models of success from schools that have successfully integrated this dimension. The study results indicate that integrating religious values into school culture significantly strengthens students' commitment to the principles of Pancasila and contributes to the formation of characters that are more virtuous, responsible, and caring about the social environment. This study concludes that effective transformation of the Pancasila Student Profile requires a holistic approach involving all school elements in instilling positive religious and cultural values. Practical recommendations for educators and policymakers include developing curricula sensitive to religious values and increased training for teachers to support effective integration in school settings.

NATIONAL AND PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF STUDENT YOUTH BY MEANS OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN THE DIMENSIONS OF THE PRESENT

The article presents an analysis of the conditions and updated approaches to the implementation of the conceptual provisions of national-patriotic education of youth in the higher education system. It is noted that the issue of development and support of patriotism is inextricably linked with the sense of national identity. At the same time, the modern era with its contradictions and alternatives forms a new, ambiguous, multifaceted patriotism. In the conditions of information culture development, public-humanistic patriotism should stand out, which, combining elements of ethnicity and state, recognizes humanity as the dominant factor. The issue of developing and maintaining patriotism is inextricably linked to a sense of national identity that is facing significant challenges in the face of globalization. At the same time, in today’s difficult and painful situations of challenges and threats, radical changes in politics, economy, and social sphere, the priority of social progress, along with ensuring its sovereignty and territorial integrity, finding ways to integrate into the European and Euro-Atlantic community, is to define a new strategy. Education as a multicomponent and multi-vector system largely shapes the future development of the Ukrainian state. Patriotism as an integrative basis for the revival of the spiritual values of society is a stabilizing factor of national and civic harmony in the independent Ukrainian state. It is established that the challenges of war, the formation of the world, the development of consciousness and national identity of students, and the challenges of globalization require the constant attention of teachers (tutors) in the context of national-patriotic education and the use of adequatepedagogical conditions. It is noted that the relevance of education on patriotism among students is due to the high level of their intellectual potential and significant social activity. The pedagogical conditions of patriotism formation are highlighted, which consist of: the formation of internal motivation of higher education seekers to self-education of national-patriotic values and personality qualities by means of a virtual educational environment; introduction of media education in the educational process of universities as part of continuing education of modern man aimed at forming a network culture of the individual or culture of network communication; expanding tutoring support for students in the field of virtual communication.

The problem of cultural and national identity and ways to solve it in the New Ukrainian School

Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine has significantly increased the level of interest in the problems of cultural and national identity in our country. Teachers face an important task of developing and implementing in school deeply thought-out creative approaches based on the latest methodologies and technologies in order to form the cultural and national identity of young people as a prerequisite for their cultural competence. The normative documents of the New Ukrainian School refer to the formation of cultural- national and civic competence of students for successful functioning in a democratic society and specify the essence of these concepts. In the conditions of democratization and humanization of education literature as a subject should significantly influence the process of forming civic culture and national awareness of the individual and promote active learning in school «those moral norms that have been developed by mankind over centuries» The future of the Ukrainian state largely depends on the established Ukrainian cultural and national identity. The loss of it poses serious problems related to deep alienation in society, a sense of disintegration, instability of human existence and even poses a threat to national security. The concept of forming a cultural and national identity for the needs of the present and the New Ukrainian School may be naturally developed on the foundations laid by our predecessors. Their works are an important contribution to the development of the content of education and to the scientific substantiation of the process of national education of students in an independent state. Today is the time to return to their theoretical achievements and successfully develop the cultural and national identity of students in a country that so heroically fights for the right to exist. Nowadays, the formation of Ukrainian inhabitants’ cultural and national identity is unfinished and still going on. A well-balanced course of Ukrainian and foreign literature at school and the use of active forms of education will help to speed up this process. The paper highlights the immanent characteristics of cultural and national identity and the main ways of its formation in literature lessons and formulates the most important, according to the author, methodological recommendations for optimizing the educational process on the issues under consideration. The prospect of further research is seen in the study of various deviations of cultural and national identity, their causes and ways to overcome them in order to eliminate the negative impact on the youth of certain environments and dubious media.

THE ROLE OF PUBLIC ACTIVITY IN THE FORMATION OF NATIONAL SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The article presents the results of a study of the impact of public activities on the formation of national identity of higher education students. The urgency of the problem is due to the contradictions, in particular: between the need to preserve the identity of the Ukrainian nation and strengthen the state unity of Ukraine and the lack of proper scientific methodology that makes it possible to develop a holistic theory and effective methods of forming national identity; between the strong educational potential of public activity for the formation of national identity of students and insufficient organizational and methodological support for the implementation of this potential in modern higher education. The purpose of the article is to study the impact of public activities for the formation of national identity of higher education students of the first and second scientific and educational levels. Research methods: analysis, generalization, systematization of psychological and pedagogical, methodical works of scientists, encyclopedic reference books on national education of higher education students of the first and second scientific and educational levels, questionnaires. The scientific novelty of the study is that the author for the first time characterized and tested the impact of public activities on the formation of national identity of higher education. It was proved and experimentally verified in the article that the public activity has a significant impact on the formation of national identity of student youth, because it highlights the need for an effective attitude to the world around, preservation and increase of spiritual and material values of the nation, awareness of responsibility for the nation, its present and future.

Prawa dziecka we współczesnej szkole – doświadczenia studentów pedagogiki

<p>Pomimo ratyfikacji przez Polskę Konwencji o Prawach Dziecka, a także szeregu dokumentów regulujących funkcjonowanie systemu oświaty w naszym kraju, szkolna rzeczywistość w kontekście urzeczywistniania praw dzieci – uczniów – pozostawia wiele do życzenia. Pewnego obrazu tej kwestii dostarczają zaprezentowane w artykule badania. Przeprowadzono je wśród studentów pedagogiki Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, wykorzystując autorski kwestionariusz ankiety. Badani studenci optymistycznie odnosili się do urzeczywistniania w polskich szkołach praw dziecka, uznając je za generalnie realizowane. Wyrażali przekonanie, że polskim dzieciom gwarantuje się prawo do nauki, edukacji. W naszym kraju respektuje się zasadę powszechności i bezpłatności nauczania, równości w dostępie do oświaty, a także prawo do uznania i zachowania w trakcie nauki szkolnej tożsamości narodowej uczniów. Natomiast prawo do wyrażania swoich opinii, do szacunku dla własnych poglądów dziecka częściej było uznawane za nierealizowane niż realizowane, prawo zaś do swobody wypowiedzi i informacji niewiele częściej za realizowane niż nierealizowane. Jako dość pozytywne można ocenić doświadczenia studentów związane z ich prawami jako uczniów – w przeszłości. Wszystkie przedstawione im prawa częściej uznawali za realizowane niż za nierealizowane. Podawali jednak przykłady łamania ich uczniowskich praw (w przeszłości), zwykle przez nauczycieli. Szkoły, do których uczęszczali w przeszłości obecni studenci pedagogiki, raczej niewielką rolę odegrały w zakresie ich edukacji dotyczącej praw dziecka. Z przeprowadzonych badań wyłania się obraz szkoły, w której zdarzają się przypadki naruszania praw dzieci przez osoby powołane do ich realizacji – nauczycieli, a prawo do wyrażania własnego zdania, szacunku dla jego poglądów jest najczęściej naruszanym, a równocześnie najbardziej pożądanym, dobrem.</p>
