Application of graphene-EDTA nanomaterials in oil painting creation

In the modern art ecology, the situation of oil painting in society urgently requires finding the key to revitalizing its strong vitality, in order to give oil painting new vitality and achieve its new development. As a painting language in the context of oil painting, new materials have become an important means of promoting the development of oil painting. This article explored the development, creation, and material innovation of oil painting. This article elaborated on the types of comprehensive materials and their application in oil painting, and discussed the application of graphene and nanomaterials in art creation and oil painting. Through comparison, it can be seen that the use of nano oil painting materials in oil painting creation was significantly improved the fluidity and coloring degree, with an increase of 0.18 in fluidity and 0.15 in coloring degree. The application of graphene ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) in oil painting has created graphene-EDTA oil paintings that have been loved and welcomed by viewers, enhancing the motivation for oil painting creation.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of the boiled extract, regular and nano oil of some medicinal plants and their effect on the eggs and larvae of the third phase of date moth Ephestia Cautella (Walk.) (Lepidoptera:Pyralidae) in laboratory conditions

The experiment was conducted under laboratory conditions, in the insect lab at the College of Science for Girls / University of Kufa in 2021.In order to test the effect of extracts, regular and nano-oil of cinnamon, Cinnamomum zeylanicu, turmeric Curcuma longa and Elettaria cardamomum on the eggs and larvae of the third phase of date moth. Where the three nano-oils excelled on mortality eggs, where the mortality rate of eggs was 100% compared to the regular oil and the boiled extract. The nano-oils were also missed in mortality rate of the third phase larvae after 72 treatments. The Nano cinnamon oil was excelled in mortality larvae, where the mortality rate was 94.4%, compared to “turmeric nano oil and nano cardamom oil, respectively, as it reached 89.2 and 61.8% at 2% concentration.

EVALUATION OF CARBON EMISSION IN MOTORCYCLE EXHAUSTS AND ENGINE PERFORMANCE USING BIOMASS NANOFUEL PATCH

Biomass nanofluid not only utilises the most abundant waste in Malaysia but also ensures the environment’s sustainability towards low carbon emissions by reducing Greenhouse Gases (GHG). The present work investigates a renewable biomass NanoFuel Patch derived from normal pyrolysis of Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) biomass as a pure product (EFB nano oil). The EFB nano oil will go through the patching process to become a biomass nanofuel patch. This NanoFuel Patch is attached to the motorcycle’s fuel hose and tank. It works based on the nanofluidics concept, allowing the nanomolecules to be transported via biomass fluid bound with nanocomposite fibre medium assembled in a patch adhesive. Nanofluidics minimise the adsorption of impurities, which leads to complete combustion in the engine. The engine performance and emissions of a renewable biomass nanofuel patch were investigated during a motorcycle test attached to the dynomite roller chassis dynamometer (dyno test) in the steady-state condition of a single-cylinder and four-stroke type motorcycle. The findings show that the NanoFuel Patch produced better torque and braking power compared to the standard condition. At speeds between 60 and 70 km/h, the motorcycle’s NOx emissions were lowered to 20.56% and 7.90%, respectively, in contrast to the standard condition. Compared to standard conditions, CO emission levels were lower at 80 km/h, 90 km/h, and 100 km/h, with reductions of 22.08%, 11.65%, and 35.09%, respectively. For CO2 concentration, lower production of CO2 occurred when the motorcycle ran at speeds of 60, 70 km/h, 80 km/h, 90 km/h, and 100 km/h, with percentages of 8.87%, 8.34%, 3.59%, 2.91%, and 0.78%, respectively.

Investigation of CeO2 nanoparticles on the performance enhancement of insulating oils

Integrating nanotechnology in dielectric fluid significantly inhibits losses and boosts overall dielectric fluid performance. There has been research done on the effects of introducing various nanoparticles, such as titania, alumina, silica nanodiamonds, etc. In this paper, a novel nanoparticle, Ceria (CeO2), has been used, and its properties were examined using the FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectrum, the XRD (X-ray Diffraction) spectrum, the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), and the TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy). This paper illustrates an efficient dielectric fluid prepared by the successful dispersion of Cerium Oxide (CeO2) nanoparticles in various concentrations into four commercial oils, namely mineral oil, rapeseed oil, synthetic ester oil, and soybean oil, to enhance and improve their dielectric characteristics. The performance investigation emphasises breakdown strength enhancement and other dielectric properties of the colloidal solution comprising different nanoparticle (NP) concentrations. Various commercial oils are used as a base in nano-oil to diversify their applicability as dielectric fluids by measuring the correlation in dielectric parameters and statistically assessing their applicability with normal and Weibull distributions. The obtained experimental data sets were analyzed using the Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox in MATLAB. The aging measurement has been done only on mineral oil, and results were matched using a predictive model of statistics and the Machine Learning Toolbox in MATLAB. Well-dispersed CeO2 NPs in the insulating oils lead to a significant increase in AC breakdown strength. The effect of ageing on the dielectric properties of nano oils yields better results than conventionally aged oil. It has been observed that the breakdown voltage is enhanced by up to 30% for mineral oil at an optimal concentration of 0.01 g/L, 9% for synthetic ester oil at 0.03 g/L, 18% for rapeseed oil at 0.02 g/L, and 19% for soybean oil at 0.03 g/L nanoparticle concentration. Following the dispersion of CeO2 nanoparticles, the dielectric constant of all insulating oils has also significantly improved.The overall experimental results are promising and show the potential of the CeO2 NPs-based nano oil as an efficient and highly performing dielectric oil for different power applications.

Tribological studies of lubricated textured point contacts using MoS2 and PTFE nano oils under the reciprocating motion

Friction, wear, and film formation behaviors at the lubricated textured point contacts have been investigated experimentally by employing MoS2 (Molybdenum disulfide) and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) nano oils at high contact loads (Hertzian pressures, PH = 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5 GPa) and low sliding linear reciprocating speeds ( U s = 0.1 and 0.4 m/s). Two types of contacts formed between “grounded conventional flat plate versus lapped ball” and “grounded textured flat plate versus lapped ball” were used in the experimental investigations. The friction force, wear of balls, contact potential (an indication of oil film formation ability), and vibrations were measured and analyzed herein. Overall better tribological performances have been achieved with PTFE nano oil as compared to MoS2 nano oil. However, relatively more vibration reductions have been found with MoS2 nano oil. The EDS and XPS analysis along images of worn surfaces have been presented and analyzed for wear quantification and realization of the associated mechanisms.

Tribological roles of MoS2 and PTFE nano oils at the rolling/sliding point contacts: Conventional versus textured contacts

Nanolubricants and surface textures have evidenced the ability to improve the tribo-performances of concentrated contacts. Motivated by this finding as reported in the literature, in the present work, the synergistic uses of laser-created surface textures and nanolubricants have been employed to explore and improve the tribological behaviours of moderately loaded ( PH = 0.5 and 0.8 GPa) point contacts operating mainly in mixed and elastohydrodynamic lubrication regimes. MoS2 and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) nanoparticles based on two nanolubricants were prepared in the laboratory to lubricate the rolling/sliding conventional and textured point contacts. Two sets of contacts (grounded discs versus lapped balls and grounded textured discs versus lapped balls) have been employed to create the geometric configuration of conventional and textured concentrated point contacts. Based on the experimental results found herein, the friction coefficient with the textured contacts reduced by 64% in the presence of MoS2-based nanolubricant as compared to the conventional point contact lubricated with the base oil; however, in the presence of polytetrafluoroethylene-based nanolubricant, this reduction has been recorded by 56%. The textured surface involving a small dimple size yielded better results than the relatively large size. Worn surfaces have been investigated and analysed using optical and scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy micro-images. Moreover, certain surface studies using atomic force microscope have also been conducted to understand the surface topography and associated wear mechanisms.

Preparation of hydrophobic nano calcium carbonate and its application in EOR

W/O emulsification flooding is a new type of oil displacement method, which can effectively improve oil recovery, but there are few materials used for W/O emulsification at present. Therefore, we prepared a hydrophobic nano calcium carbonate (WS-Ca) and compounded it with Span80 to form a nano oil displacement system. The contact angle experiment demonstrates that WS-Ca is lipophilic material. After testing the emulsification performance, viscosity, interfacial tension and oil displacement performance of the oil displacement system, it is found that the nano oil displacement system with the best performance is WS-Ca (800ppm) +Span80 (1%), and the displacement system and oil are emulsified into W/O emulsion, and the viscosity of emulsion is 25 times that of crude oil. Furthermore, the oil displacement system can successfully lower the oil-water interfacial tension and increase the oil recovery of injection water to 62.63%.

Preparation of Surfactant-Free Nano Oil Particles in Water Using Ultrasonic System and the Mechanism of Emulsion Stability.

Emulsion technology is widely used in the preparation of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, and other daily necessities, and surfactants are frequently used to prepare these emulsions because of the lack of reliable surfactant-free emulsification techniques. This is disadvantageous because some surfactants pose health hazards, cause environmental pollution, have costly components, and place limitations on process development. In this paper, an efficient method for surfactant-free nano-emulsification is presented. In addition, we discuss the effects of different operating parameters on the oil particle size, as well as the effect of the particle size on the emulsion stability. Specifically, we compared three surfactant-free ultrasonic emulsification technologies (horn, bath, and focused ultrasonic systems). The focused ultrasonic system, which concentrates sound energy at the center of the dispersion system, showed the best performance, producing emulsions with a particle size distribution of 60–400 nm at 400 kHz. In addition, phase separation did not occur despite the lack of surfactants and thickeners, and the emulsion remained stable for seven days. It is expected to be widely used in eco-friendly emulsification processes.

Effect of using hybrid nano lubricant on the thermo-hydrodynamic performance of two lobe journal bearings

Due to the wide range of journal bearings applications in the industrial machine, significant efforts have been made by tribology researchers to improve their performance in recent years. Designing new bearings geometry and using lubricants with new chemical compounds including additives are the most common solutions proposed to enhance the performance of journal bearing supports. New advancements in nanotechnology and producing the various types of nano particles have provided the chance of upgrading the properties of commercial lubricants. According to the different effect of nano fluids on the performance of mechanical systems corresponding to their composition, today they are used to achieve different goals in lubrication systems. Upgrading the steady state performance parameters including load carrying capacity, attitude angle, surface cooling and effective viscosity are among the expected results of applying nano lubricant in journal bearings. So, in this study the performance of hydrodynamic two lobe journal bearings lubricated with SiO2-multiwall carbon nano tubes /SAE40 hybrid nano fluid is presented considering the thermal effects. For this purpose, the governing Reynolds and energy equations as well as the equation of heat transfer in bearing shell are modified based on the properties of assumed rotor-bearing system. Then the effects of solid volume fraction of nano particles on the performance of two lobe bearings are studied for different amount of bearing noncircularity. The results indicate that upgrading the solid volume fraction of added nano particle to the SAE40 base oil, enhances the lubricant pressure distribution, load carrying capacity, and lubricant effective viscosity. Further, by increasing the solid volume fraction, the attitude angle and temperature of lubricant and rotor-bearing surfaces experience a decreasing trend. Generally, it's obvious from the results that choosing the appropriate solid volume fraction of SiO2-multiwall carbon nano tubes in hybrid nano oil composition, especially for high value of preload factor, can improve the performance of two lobe bearings.

Harnessing nano oil reservoir network for generating low friction and wear in self-mating alumina

This study unleashes the potential of nanoporous connected networks as excellent oil reservoirs for reducing friction and wear in Al2O3-Al2O3tribo-pairs. Alumina were fabricated via slip casting and sintering to generate wide-ranging densifications (70–99.5%) and slid in a reciprocating flat-on-flat configuration. Friction coefficients (FCs) lie between 0.025 and 0.37 which decreased with an increase in normal load (10–220 N), lubricant’s viscosity (19, 289 mPa·s) and sliding frequency (6, 12, 24 Hz). A central finding is that FCs of infused specimens are smaller than those of surface lubricated. Wear rates decreased from 10−5 to <10−8 mm3·N−1·m−1 for an increase in Al2O3 density. Wear occurred predominantly via intergranular and transgranular fracture modes as revealed by the electron microscopy studies.

Measurement of Tan-delta and DC Resistivity of Synthetic Ester Based Oil Filled with Fe2O3, TiO2 and Al2O3 Nanoparticles

ABSTRACT The dielectric properties of insulating liquids are very important for their application as insulation and coolant in electrical devices like transformers. It is important to monitor the health condition of transformers for uninterrupted and economical power supply. For this purpose, the simple insulating materials like pressboard and mineral oils are used. This paper presents an eco-friendly alternative to mineral oil in the form of the synthetic ester oil-based nanofluids. This paper aims to present the effect of nanoparticles on the dielectric dissipation factor and electrical resistivity of ester-based oil. In this paper, we are testing synthetic ester oils for DC resistivity and dielectric dissipation factor (Tan-delta) at different temperatures starting from room temperature up to 80°C by incorporating nanoparticles with 0.02 weight% concentration. Nanoparticles used in this study are Fe2O3, TiO2 and Al2O3. Synthetic ester oil is used as the base oil for testing. These oils are manufactured from raw materials that are basically formed by combining acids and alcohols. The heating chamber is used to heat the oil for different temperatures. Insulation resistance (IR) tester and oil dissipation factor meter are used to determine DC resistivity and dielectric dissipation factor (DDF) of simple synthetic ester oil and nano oil respectively. This paper presents the effect of nanoparticles and temperature on dielectric properties of synthetic ester-based oils.

Natural Effective Fast Nano Oil Perfume to Quit Smoking

The present natural formulation of nano ozonated oil perfume was compared with famous quit smoking products, nicotine lozenge, and nicotine patch to help smokers quit smoking. The formulation was used with nicotine lozenge, nicotine patch on 20 smokers for six weeks in two groups. The study showed the oil perfume gave excellent results with average success rate of 97% compared to average results of 30% success rate of combined nicotine lozenge and nicotine patch our product showed it is superior to any other products on earth cause of the following reasons: It is 100% natural It is 100% safe It is very fast It is very easy to use It is 97% effective It is very practical It is very cheap It causes no side effects

Bioassay Essential Oils on Tribolium castaneum and Tribolium confusum (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

Background: Tribolium confusum and Tribolium castaneum are pests spread inside the stores and homes. These pests infest stored grains and many others seeds in the stores and bakery. These controlled by insecticides. The essential have a promising research results in controlling these pests and decreasing the insect infestations. The natural essential oils have a low effect on the human, non-target insects, and do not pollute the environments. This research is an alternative approach to natural control these two stored product pests. Methods: Four essential oils namely, Lantana camara, Acorus calamus, caraway oil and Ammi majus were estimated on two stored product insects T. confusum and T. castaneum. Encapsulation method by the technology of polymerization was followed. The nano oils at 0.5% were estimated on the 3rd larval instars. Percentages of accumulative mortality were calculated after seven days of the experiments. The effect of nano-oils on oviposition experiments made by spraying two grams of foams of the tested oils and their nano formulations mixed with 100 gram of wheat. Results data obtained detected that, the Percentage of larval mortality increase by increasing the concetrations for both insects T. confusum and T. castaneum. T. confusum tested larvae were more susceptible to the treatments than T. castaneum larvae. Nano A. majus oil showed a stronger effecte than that L. camara or A. calamus oil. Adult emergence percent and fecundity showed a highly decreasing after treatments with nano-oil L. camara, A. calamus, A. majus oils under storage conditions, compared to those of the controls or non-nano-oils. The results suggested that nano A. majus can be used as a valuable tool in pest management programs of T. confusum and T. castaneum Conclusion: The results of this work indicate that some essential oils might be helpful management of pests in the stores because of their fumigant and odor action. Essential oils of plant origin contain active ingredients which are effective against many insects. Nano formulations of essential oils, through controlled release, prevent speed violate and decay and, also increase the stability of the oils. Treated foam, using L. camara, A. majus, caraway, and A. calamus oils gave protectthe wheat seeds from two pests infestations.

Experimental investigation for the maintenance of molded case circuit breaker using nano oil

The Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) is used to protect and operate electrical appliances; the periodic maintenance process is very important. MCCB traditional maintenance process is done by removing dust and internal soil by cleaning the external body only; therefore, carbon atoms are formed at the contact points. In this work, a new maintenance technique is proposed to enhance the maintenance process, adding the titanium oxide (TiO2) into the insulating oil. The TiO2 tends to attract the carbon atoms from the contact points, and then enhances the electrical properties of MCCB such as the DC resistance, insulation resistance and breakdown voltage of the insulating oils. To verify the validity of the new method, electrical tests were performed before and after the proposed maintenance according to IEC 60947. The results of the various MCCBs were combined to perform statistical analysis. Artificial intelligence is used to construct a model to predict a state of acceptance and rejection of the MCCB. The results indicated a significant difference between the traditional maintenance and the proposed maintenance technique using nanotechnology in enhancing MCCB life.

Detailed characterization of micronano pore structure of tight sandstone reservoir space in three dimensional space: a case study of the Gao 3 and Gao 4 members of Gaotaizi reservoir in the Qijia area of the Songliao basin

Tight sandstone samples from the Gao 3 and Gao 4 members of Gaotaizi reservoir in Qijia area of the northern Songliao Basin were targeted as the main research objects in this paper. Through micro/nano CT technology and auto skeleton module and connectivity module in avizo software, three-dimensional models for the micro pore structure of Gaotaizi tight sandstone in the research area were constructed. The experimental results demonstrate that types of reservoir space include intergranular dissolution pores, intragranular dissolution pores, and micro-fractures, indicating remarkable microscopic heterogeneity with characteristics of a continuous distribution in a micronano scale. Under the micro scale, different physical property and sedimentary microfacies of tight reservoir show various pore structure characteristics in three-dimensional space, with the primary front of pore throats mainly distributed in 0.6~1.5 μm. Under the nanoscale, micro heterogeneity is remarkable, with the primary front of pore throats distributed in 40~100 nm. In addition, the nanopore distribution pattern in three-dimensional space mainly includes the nanopores in the granules and the nanofractures, of which the latter type plays a crucial role in connecting nanopores and migration of nano oil and gas migration; at the same time, this paper verify the digital core experimental results by using MICP technology. With the further development of big data technology and deep learning technology, three-dimensional digital core technology based on micro/nano CT technology will become an important technology applied in the exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas.

Performance Enhancement of Vapor Compression Refrigeration System using CuO Nano Particles in CARE 30 Test Rig

The refrigeration system excution with the nano oil was explored to enhance the coefficient of performance (COP) of the vapor compression refrigeration system (VCRS) using CARE 30 which is a mixture of 50% refrigerant R200 and 50% refrigerant R600a in which 1 gram of Copper oxide (CuO) nano particles (NP) are used. Nano lubricant was used in the compressor of R-134a refrigeration system (compatible with CARE 30) mixed with polyolester (POE) oil. To execute this examination, a test setup was planned and fabricated in the workshop. The outcome demonstrates that CARE 30 and POE oil with CuO NP works typically and securely in the refrigeration system. The refrigeration system performance found is better than the customary CARE 30 and POE oil only refrigertion system. Therefore, the nano lubricant (POE compressor lubricant mixed with CuO NP) could be used as a vital piece of refrigeration system to lower the energy consumption and for the enhancement of COP of VCRS.

Effects of Nano-Lubricants on Power and CO Emission of a Diesel Engine: An Experimental Investigation

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of copper (II) oxide (CuO), copper zinc iron oxide (CuZnFe2O4) and copper iron oxide (CuFe2O4) nanoparticle additives in synthetic diesel engine oil (5W-40) at the fraction of 0.08 wt% on friction and wear in piston ring-cylinder liner mechanism of the engine. In this regard, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analyses of the nanoparticles were first carried out and via a linear reciprocating tribometer, friction coefficients were determined on specimens comprised of the same material with real engine piston ring. Subsequently, SEM analyses of the samples exposed to abrasion were carried out to investigate the wear characteristics. In the second stage of the experimental study, oil sump of the diesel test engine was filled with raw oil (oil without nano additives) and prepared nano oils (oil+nano additives) separately to unravel the effects of the lubricants on engine power and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions. According to the results, it was determined that CuZnFe2O4 nano lubricant was the most pronounced of all in terms of tribological performance, engine power and CO emissions. The results depicted that, in the best case, an average increment of 15% in engine power and an average reduction of 18% in CO emissions with CuZnFe2O4 nano oil were provided compared to that of the raw oil.
