Abstract An eight-element multi-input multi-output (MIMO) antenna for millimeter-wave communication systems is presented in this study. The current design consists of a monopole connecting two circular rings. For better radiation and fewer interference qualities, both rings are cross-coupled. The antenna elements are arranged along the X and Y axes in the current MIMO construction, which is built based on the reference antenna. The overall dimensions of the presented MIMO structure are50 mm × 70 mm × 1.6 mm. The proposed antenna spans the mm Wave frequency spectrum of the n257 and n261 bands, with a bandwidth of 25.4 to 29.5 GHz. For MIMO communication systems, an isolation of greater than -27 dB is provided by the current MIMO antenna, which is a self-isolated MIMO antenna. A variety of metrics, including the diversity gain (DG), envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), channel capacity loss (CCL), and total active reflection coefficient (TARC), are looked at in order to assess the diversity features. For the suggested MIMO structure in the given frequency range, ECC of <.003, DG>9.9999, TARC<-19.8 dB at 28 GHz, and CCL less than 0.4 are obtained. This antenna achieves 6.6 dBi gain at 28 GHz with the allowed radiation pattern. Keyword -MIMO, ECC, DG, TARC, channel capacity loss (CCL), eight element antennas.
