Multi-Attribute Decision-Making for T-Spherical Fuzzy Information Utilizing Schweizer-Sklar Prioritized Aggregation Operators for Recycled Water

To handle problematic and ambiguous data, Schweizer and Sklar added a parameter p in 1960, which helped to develop the theory of SS t-norm (SSTN) and t-conorm (SSTCN). The parameter p=-1.1 can be used to easily derive the information of the Hamacher and Lukasiewicz t-norms. Furthermore, prioritized aggregation operators (PAOs) choose which data will be collected into a singleton set. The main contribution of this work is the construction of new aggregation operators for T-spherical fuzzy (T-SF) information based on SS t-norm and t-conorm. Moreover, the fundamental characteristics of the operators are identified. Further, we developed MADM (Multi-Attribute Decision-Making) models and deduced several useful properties from the operators T-SFSSPA, T-SFSSWPA, T-SFSSPG, and T-SFSSWPG. Finally, using an actual case study, we were able to draw the conclusion that, in comparison to the ground-breaking and current methods to enhance the value and capability of the diagnosed operators, the proposed MADM algorithm performs noticeably better than the operators in place for resolving the water recycling problem in a way that is easy to understand.

Multi-attribute decision-making approach based on Aczel-Alsina power aggregation operators under bipolar fuzzy information & its application to quantum computing

The main aim of this paper is to present a new multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) approach for solving the problems under the uncertain and complex environment. The key challenges during any MADM problem are how to quantify the objective uncertainty information in the data and how to aggregate such collective information. To answer this, in this paper, we utilize the concept of the bipolar fuzzy information to mark the information in terms of the positive and negative support. To aggregate this different information, we propose some power aggregation operators based on the Aczel-Alsina operators (AAO). The AAOs are the generalized t-norm based operations with an additional parameter to analyze the influence of the expert preferences. Based on these AAO and bipolar fuzzy information, we stated bipolar fuzzy AA power weighted averaging and geometric operators and investigate their features. Later, based on these operators, we establish a MADM algorithm to solve the decision-making problems. The applicability of the stated algorithm is demonstrated through a case study related to quantum computing. The comparative studies and advantages of the study are also analyzed with the various prevailing theories.

Based on MOPSO Algorithm of Real-Time Traffic Signal Optimization Control for Intelligent Transportation Intersections

In order to improve the traffic efficiency of intersections, this paper establishes a multi-objective optimization model with the minimum real-time delay time and maximum capacity as the optimization objectives by applying multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm, and simulates the actual intersections. By optimizing the multi-objective model, a set of Pareto optimal solution sets can be obtained, and the optimal timing scheme can be determined by using multi-attribute decision-making algorithm and real-time update of signal timing configuration parameters to achieve dynamic optimization of signal timing. The simulation model of city road intersection is established by SUMO software. By using multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm to optimize the intersection simulation model, the traffic capacity of the simulated intersection has been greatly improved, with the average traffic capacity increasing by about 3.69% and the average vehicle delay time decreasing by about 21.35%.

Multiple-Attribute Decision Making Based on Intuitionistic Hesitant Fuzzy Connection Set Environment

The intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set (IHFS) is an enriched version of hesitant fuzzy sets (HFSs) that can cover both fuzzy sets (FSs) and intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs). By assigning membership and non-membership grades as subsets of [0, 1], the IHFS can model and handle situations more proficiently. Another related theory is the theory of set pair analysis (SPA), which considers both certainties and uncertainties as a cohesive system and represents them from three aspects: identity, discrepancy, and contrary. In this article, we explore the suitability of combining the IHFS and SPA theories in multi-attribute decision making (MADM) and present the hybrid model named intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy connection number set (IHCS). To facilitate the design of a novel MADM algorithm, we first develop several averaging and geometric aggregation operators on IHCS. Finally, we highlight the benefits of our proposed work, including a comparative examination of the recommended models with a few current models to demonstrate the practicality of an ideal decision in practice. Additionally, we provide a graphical interpretation of the devised attempt to exhibit the consistency and efficiency of our approach.

A novel MADM algorithm for physical education teaching quality evaluation based on 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic numbers power heronian mean operators.

Classroom teaching quality evaluation is an important link in the curriculum quality assurance system. It has important guiding significance for the timely feedback of classroom teaching effects, the achievement of teachers' teaching goals, and the implementation of teaching plans. The evaluation system is scientific, objective and accurate. The classroom teaching quality evaluation is an important way to improve the level of teacher education and teaching and then determine the quality of talent training in various majors. At present, although the evaluation work has played a positive role, the backwardness of the evaluation system has seriously restricted the effectiveness of teaching feedback. The classroom teaching quality evaluation of college basketball training is viewed as the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM). In this article, we combine the generalized Heronian mean (GHM) operator and power average (PA) with 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic sets (2TLNSs) to propose the generalized 2-tuple linguistic neutrosophic power HM (G2TLNPHM) operator. The G2TLNPHM operator is built for MADM. Finally, an example for classroom teaching quality evaluation of college basketball training is used to show the proposed methods.

Network selection based on chi-square distance and reputation for internet of things

The internet of things (IoT) has become one of the most important technologies of the 21<sup>st</sup> century. The IoT environment is composed of heterogeneous IoT communication networks. These technologies are complementary and need to be integrated to meet the requirements of different types of IoT applications that require the mobility of the IoT device under different IoT communication networks. In this paper, the vertical handover decision method is considered to select the appropriate network among different IoT technologies. So, IoT devices, equipped with several radio technologies, can select the most suitable network based on several criteria like quality of service (QoS), cost, power, and security. In this work, a multi-attribute decision-making algorithm (MADM) based on techniques for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) that uses chi-square distance instead of Euclidean distance is proposed. The network reputation is added to reduce the average number of handoffs. The proposed algorithm was implemented to select the best technology depending on the requirements of the different IoT traffic classes. The obtained results showed that our proposition outperforms the traditional MADM algorithms.

Generalized q-rung orthopair fuzzy interactive Hamacher power average and Heronian means for MADM.

In this paper, we establish a novel q-rung orthopair fuzzy (q-ROF) multi-attribute decision making (MADM) model on the basis of the proposed q-ROF interactive Hamacher weighted adjustable power average (q-ROFIHWAPA) and q-ROF interactive Hamacher weighted coordinated Heronian means (HMs), which (1) can reflect the correlations among multiple attributes; (2) weakens the impacts of the extreme evaluation values more reasonably; (3) considers the interactions between the membership degree (MD) and non-membership degree (N-MD) of different q-ROF numbers (q-ROFNs); (4) has the characteristic of generality (It can generate different methods by different operations). Firstly, the q-ROF interactive Hamacher operations, improved score function and new q-ROF entropy (q-ROFE) formula, which are the necessary raw materials for the implementation of MADM, are presented. Secondly, we introduce the adjustable power average (APA) and its weight form (WAPA) to remedy the deficiencies of the classical power averages (PAs). Afterwards we extend the WAPA to q-ROF circumstance and propose the q-ROF interactive Hamacher WAPA (q-ROFIHWAPA), and its basic properties are analyzed. Further, the entropy weight fitting method is presented to determine the parameter carried by the q-ROFIHWAPA. Thirdly, inspired by the evolutionary process of Bonferroni means (BMs), we define the weighted coordinated HM (WCHM) and weighted geometric coordinated HM (WGCHM) based on the traditional HMs, respectively, which eliminate the redundancy of the dual generalized weighted BM (DGWBM) and dual generalized weighted Bonferroni geometric mean (DGWBGM), i.e., the case of Then we develop the q-ROF interactive Hamacher WCHM (q-ROFIHWCHM) and q-ROF interactive Hamacher WGCHM (q-ROFIHWGCHM) by combining them with the q-ROF interactive Hamacher operations, and the common properties and special cases are also investigated. Finally, we create a MADM algorithm relied on the q-ROFIHWAPA and q-ROFIHWCHM (resp. q-ROFIHWGCHM), and a practical example is introduced to illustrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

Aczel-Alsina-based aggregation operators for intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set environment and their application to multiple attribute decision-making process

<abstract> <p>An intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy set is an extension of the fuzzy set which deals with uncertain information and vague environments. Multiple-attribute decision-making problems (MADM) are one of the emerging topics and an aggregation operator plays a vital role in the aggregate of different preferences to a single number. The Aczel-Alsina norm operations are significant terms that handle the impreciseness and undetermined data. In this paper, we build some novel aggregation operators for the different pairs of the intuitionistic hesitant fuzzy sets (IHFSs), namely as Aczel-Alsina average and geometric operators. Several characteristics of the proposed operators are also described in detail. Based on these operators, a multi-attribute decision-making algorithm is stated to solve the decision-making problems. A numerical example has been taken to display and validate the approach. A feasibility and comparative analysis with existing studies are performed to show its superiority.</p> </abstract>

Power partitioned neutral aggregation operators for T-spherical fuzzy sets: An application to [formula omitted] refuelling site selection

T-spherical fuzzy set (T-SFS) is emerged as one of the effective tools for dealing uncertainty in decision-making process. Whereas, power aggregation operators help us in normalizing the impact of extreme values and capture the interconnectedness of the arguments. Meantime, one of the most prominent factors in multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problems is the lack of awareness of biasness. Neutral operations highlight fair and unbiased character of decision makers. Thus, aiming these advantages and heterogeneity of arguments, a hybrid form of operators, weighted power partitioned neutral average operator and weighted power partitioned neutral geometric operator are developed under T-SFS environment for the first time. Beside these, power weighted neutral average, power ordered weighted neutral average, power hybrid neutral average operators, and their dual forms are initiated too. A new modified score function for T-SFS is formulated. Based on the developed operators and score function, an MADM algorithm is constituted and utilized in solving a hypothetical case study problem on hydrogen (H2) refuelling station site selection. Finally, comparative study of the developed operators with other operators is carried out to explore the applicability and supremacy of the designed MADM algorithm.

Multi-Attribute Decision Making with Einstein Aggregation Operators in Complex Q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Hypersoft Environments

The purpose of our research is to extend the formal representation of the human mind to the concept of the complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy hypersoft set (Cq-ROFHSS), a more general hybrid theory. A great deal of imprecision and ambiguity can be captured by it, which is common in human interpretations. It provides a multiparameterized mathematical tool for the order-based fuzzy modeling of contradictory two-dimensional data, which provides a more effective way of expressing time-period problems as well as two-dimensional information within a dataset. Thus, the proposed theory combines the parametric structure of complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets and hypersoft sets. Through the use of the parameter q, the framework captures information beyond the limited space of complex intuitionistic fuzzy hypersoft sets and complex Pythagorean fuzzy hypersoft sets. By establishing basic set-theoretic operations, we demonstrate some of the fundamental properties of the model. To expand the mathematical toolbox in this field, Einstein and other basic operations will be introduced to complex q-rung orthopair fuzzy hypersoft values. The relationship between it and existing methods demonstrates its exceptional flexibility. The Einstein aggregation operator, score function, and accuracy function are used to develop two multi-attribute decision-making algorithms, which prioritize based on the score function and accuracy function to ideal schemes under Cq-ROFHSS, which captures subtle differences in periodically inconsistent data sets. The feasibility of the approach will be demonstrated through a case study of selected distributed control systems. The rationality of these strategies has been confirmed by comparison with mainstream technologies. Additionally, we demonstrate that these results are compatible with explicit histograms and Spearman correlation analyses. The strengths of each approach are analyzed in a comparative manner. The proposed model is then examined and compared with other theories, demonstrating its strength, validity, and flexibility.

Applications of the Multiattribute Decision-Making for the Development of the Tourism Industry Using Complex Intuitionistic Fuzzy Hamy Mean Operators.

In the aggregation of uncertain information, it is very important to consider the interrelationship of the input information. Hamy mean (HM) is one of the fine tools to deal with such scenarios. This paper aims to extend the idea of the HM operator and dual HM (DHM) operator in the framework of complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets (CIFSs). The main benefit of using the frame of complex intuitionistic fuzzy CIF information is that it handles two possibilities of the truth degree (TD) and falsity degree (FD) of the uncertain information. We proposed four types of HM operators: CIF Hamy mean (CIFHM), CIF weighted Hamy mean (CIFWHM), CIF dual Hamy mean (CIFDHM), and CIF weighted dual Hamy mean (CIFWDHM) operators. The validity of the proposed HM operators is numerically established. The proposed HM operators are utilized to assess a multiattribute decision-making (MADM) problem where the case study of tourism destination places is discussed. For this purpose, a MADM algorithm involving the proposed HM operators is proposed and applied to the numerical example. The effectiveness and flexibility of the proposed method are also discussed, and the sensitivity of the involved parameters is studied. The conclusive remarks, after a comparative study, show that the results obtained in the frame of CIFSs improve the accuracy of the results by using the proposed HM operators.

A Weighted Graph-Based Handover Strategy for Aeronautical Traffic in LEO SatCom Networks

With the development of space-air-ground integrated network (SAGIN), the Low Earth Orbit Satellite Communication (LEO SatCom) network has great potential to provide high rate communication services for aeronautical traffic. To overcome the frequency handovers between aircraft and LEO satellites, we generated a global aeronautical traffic demand map and utilized the graph-based handover (GBH) framework and the multi-attribute decision making (MADM) algorithm jointly to optimize the overall throughput. Moreover, we further propose a new parameter, called channel reservation order (CRO), for MADM algorithm. Simulation results indicate our strategy improves the performance in terms of overall throughput and access failure probability.

Cooperative D-GNSS Aided with Multi Attribute Decision Making Module: A Rigorous Comparative Analysis

Satellite positioning lies within the very core of numerous Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Future Internet applications. With the emergence of connected vehicles, the performance requirements of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are constantly pushed to their limits. To this end, Cooperative Positioning (CP) solutions have attracted attention in order to enhance the accuracy and reliability of low-cost GNSS receivers, especially in complex propagation environments. In this paper, the problem of efficient and robust CP employing low-cost GNSS receivers is investigated over critical ITS scenarios. By adopting a Cooperative-Differential GNSS (C-DGNSS) framework, the target’s vehicle receiver can obtain Position–Velocity–Time (PVT) corrections from a neighboring vehicle and update its own position in real-time. A ranking module based on multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) algorithms is proposed for the neighboring vehicle rating and optimal selection. The considered MADM techniques are simulated with various weightings, normalization techniques, and criteria associated with positioning accuracy and reliability. The obtained criteria values are experimental GNSS measurements from several low-cost receivers. A comparative and sensitivity analysis are provided by evaluating the MADM algorithms in terms of ranking performance and robustness. The positioning data time series and the numerical results are then presented, and comments are made. Scoring-based and distance-based MADM methods perform better, while L1 RMS, HDOP, and Hz std are the most critical criteria. The multi-purpose applicability of the proposed scheme, not only for land vehicles, is also discussed.

Distance and similarity measures for bipolar fuzzy soft sets with application to pharmaceutical logistics and supply chain management

Pharmaceutical logistics are primarily concerned with handling transportation and supply chain management of numerous complex goods most of which need particular requirements for their logistical care. To find the high level of specialization, suppliers of pharmaceutical logistics must be selected under a mathematical model that can treat vague and uncertain real-life circumstances. The notion of bipolarity is a key factor to address such uncertainties. A bipolar fuzzy soft set (BFSS) is a strong mathematical tool to cope with uncertainty and unreliability in various real-life problems including logistics and supply chain management. In this paper, we introduce new similarity measures (SMs) based on certain properties of bipolar fuzzy soft sets (BFSSs). The proposed SMs are the extensions of Frobenius inner product, cosine similarity measure, and weighted similarity measure for BFSSs. The proposed SMs are also illustrated with respective numerical examples. An innovative multi-attribute decision-making algorithm (MADM) and its flow chart are being developed for pharmaceutical logistics and supply chain management in COVID-19. Furthermore, the application of the suggested MADM method is presented for the selection of the best pharmaceutical logistic company and a comparative analysis of the suggested SMs with some of the existing SMs is also demonstrated.

Complex belief interval‐based distance measure with its application in pattern recognition

The complex evidence theory is an effective methodology for multiattribute decision-making. Since difference measure between multiattribute plays an important role for conflict management in the process of multiattribute decision-making, how to measure discrepancy between complex basic belief assignments (CBBAs) in complex evidence theory is still an open issue. In this context, a new distance measurement (complex belief distance—CBD) is proposed in this paper by taking advantages of complex belief function and complex plausibility function, called complex belief interval-based distance. In addition, we compare the proposed CBD with the related work to illustrate its superiority. Next, based on CBD, we devise a novel multiattribute decision-making algorithm for pattern recognition. Finally, we apply the method to problems of medical diagnosis to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Performance Measure Using a Multi-Attribute Decision-Making Approach Based on Complex T-Spherical Fuzzy Power Aggregation Operators

Performance measurement has a vital role in almost every field of life especially when uncertainty is involved in processing information. The purpose of this research is to use the concept of power aggregation operators (PAOs) of complex T-spherical fuzzy sets (CTSFSs) to analyze the performance measures of software packages. In comparison to other studies, the main advantage of the PAOs of CTSFSs is its ability to feature four possible aspects of the information under uncertainty. In CTSFSs, each component has further two aspects denoted by their amplitude and phase terms and hence provides us a better ground to deal with practical problems. Another advantage of using PAOs for performance evaluation is the involvement of the relationship of the input arguments that play an essential role in aggregation. Other traditional aggregation operators (AOs) do not have such capabilities. We aim to develop complex T-spherical fuzzy (TSF) power weighted averaging and complex TSF power weighted geometric (CTSFPWG) operators and evaluated their validity using some tests. Ultimately, using the recommended operators, multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) algorithm is established for the performance evaluation of the software packages. With the help of a numerical example, we demonstrated the proposed MADM algorithm using complex uncertain information. The results show a positive impact by analyzing them after a comparative analysis where the results obtained using complex TSF PAOs seem to be more reliable than the results obtained using previously developed AOs. To see the effectiveness of the algorithm, the results are numerically compared using some existing approaches, and conclusions are drawn.

A Multi-criteria Decision Making Approach for Scaling and Placement of Virtual Network Functions

This paper investigates the joint scaling and placement problem of network services made up of virtual network functions (VNFs) that can be provided inside a cluster managing multiple points of presence (PoPs). Aiming at increasing the VNF service satisfaction rates and minimizing the deployment cost, we use both transport and cloud-aware VNF scaling as well as multi-attribute decision making (MADM) algorithms for VNF placement inside the cluster. The original joint scaling and placement problem is known to be NP-hard and hence the problem is solved by separating scaling and placement problems and solving them individually. The experiments are done using a dataset containing the information of a deployed digital-twin network service. These experiments show that considering transport and cloud parameters during scaling and placement algorithms perform more efficiently than the only cloud based or transport based scaling followed by placement algorithms. One of the MADM algorithms, Total Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), has shown to yield the lowest deployment cost and highest VNF request satisfaction rates compared to only transport or cloud scaling and other investigated MADM algorithms. Our simulation results indicate that considering both transport and cloud parameters in various availability scenarios of cloud and transport resources has significant potential to provide increased request satisfaction rates when VNF scaling and placement using the TOPSIS scheme is performed.

Routing Optimization Algorithm of Spatial DTN Network Based on Multiattribute Decision

Delay or stop (DTN) tolerance space network is considered to be a technology that can trade with a limited or restricted field communication area. In the space DTN network architecture, routing is very important. This article is based on the best-in-class multiattribute decision-making DTN network routing optimization algorithm. The goal is to use the optimized DTN network routing algorithm multiattribute decision-making algorithm and conduct a more in-depth study on the field information mechanism multipath decision algorithm and network path. Aiming at the problems of long link delay and frequent link interruption of current deep-space communication characteristics, and solving the impact on communication caused by system performance degradation. This paper adopts the multiattribute decision-making model algorithm to construct simulation tests, introduces the DTN network architecture, and analyzes the four attributes of the multi-attribute decision-making link bandwidth, node data forwarding rate, link establishment delay, and network error rate. The experimental results show that, in the spatial information network, the high-speed movement of nodes and the highly dynamic nature of the network make the deep-space network topology unstable and long communication delay; the change of the link mode and switch connection in the network will cause the routing table to update. This routing update method requires the exchange of topology information between all networks; when the forwarding rates of adjacent nodes are 100%, 90%, 95%, and 70%, nodes can only perform routing independently when they meet. The decision attribute algorithm has obvious changes to the attributes of any node in the spatial DTN network. The most obvious is that the link establishment delay has reached the standard of 5 or more.

Pairwise-Based Multi-Attribute Decision Making Approach for Wireless Network

In wireless network applications, such as routing decision, network selection, etc., the Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) is widely used. The MADM approach can address the multi-objective decision making issues effectively. However, when the parameters vary greatly, the traditional MADM algorithm is not effective anymore. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose the pairwise-based MADM algorithm. In the PMADM, only two nodes' utilities are calculated and compared at each time. The PMADM algorithm is much more accurate than the traditional MADM algorithm. Moreover, we also prove that the PMADM algorithm is sensitive to the parameters which vary seriously and insensitive to the parameters which change slightly. This property is better than that of the traditional MADM algorithm. Additionally, the PMADM algorithm is more stable than traditional MADM algorithm. For reducing the computational complexity of the PMADM algorithm, we propose the low-complexity PMADM algorithm. For analyzing the computational complexity of the l PMADM algorithm, we propose the tree-based decomposing algorithm in this paper. The l PMADM algorithm has the same properties and performances as that of the PMADM algorithm; however, it is simpler than the PMADM algorithm. The simulation results show that the PMADM and l PMADM algorithms are much more effective than the traditional MADM algorithm.
